Belarus leader Lukashenko says he is ready to send peacekeepers to Ukraine. (RBTH).

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has announced his readiness to send his country's forces to Ukraine to help resolve the Ukrainian conflict peacefully.

"If necessary. But for me this would be a very dangerous and terrible thing to put my own soldiers at risk: if the Russians mistrust the West, and the West, Russia, if the USA and Russia mistrust each other, and there is mistrust between the warring parties, I would be putting my own armed forces in harm's way to separate the conflicting parties," Lukashenko said in an interview with Euronews.

A part of Lukashenko's interview has already been published on the Euronews website.

The full version of the interview will be broadcast by the television station on Friday evening.

The Belarusian president said his country was ready to continue its mission aimed at securing a peaceful solution to the Ukrainian crisis.

Lukashenko also said in the interview that he had offered his own plan to settle the conflict in eastern Ukraine, adding that this plan had not been adopted so far.
