NATO 'Sometimes Ally' Turkey keeps blackmailing coalition for 'no-fly zone and safe zones' (HD).

Turkey’s prime minister has suggested the formation of a force composed of what he called “moderate opposition” in order to stabilize Syria amid growing pressure on Ankara to join the military fight against the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL).

While floating his idea of “a third force,” apparently the moribund Syrian National Coalition, Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu also made a point of prioritizing the overthrow of Bashar al-Assad’s government.

“Now, there is a need for a security force which will protect the Syrian people against both ISIL and the regime,” Davutoğlu said in the interview published Oct. 12 in daily Milliyet.

According to the premier, there are three ways of providing such protection. The first is a land incursion that would be launched by the entire international community’s forces, while the second is air strikes, although he admitted that everybody was aware that the second option was not likely to succeed.

“Or, another force will be sovereign on the ground as based on supremacy which will be provided through air forces; this force is the moderate opposition,” Davutoğlu said, arguing that such force would tackle threats from both ISIL and the Syrian regime.

Asked about U.S. desires to obtain access to the Turkish air base at İncirlik in southern Turkey as a base from which to launch strikes against jihadists, Davutoğlu said Turkey would agree if a safe zone along Turkey’s border with Syria was established and a no-fly zone inside Syrian territory was created.

“There should be a no-fly zone and safe zones should be declared. Nobody should, because of these demands, claim an unwillingness by our side to join the coalition. We want a safe zone because we assume that there will be a huge influx of refugees before and after a military operation. There should be a safe zone so as to protect Syrian refugees on Syrian territory,” he said. Hmmm.....Great after 'creating' ISIS now they'll clone them ISIS II, III , IV ! Read the full story here.
