The Turkish Prime Minister's visit to New York to calm the nerves of international investors about the Turkish economy seems have not to have been noticed in Washington D.C., as US Department of State deputy spokeswoman Marie Harf had no information about the Turkish delegation's presence in US.

The US Department of State deputy spokesperson, Marie Harf, appeared uninformed when a journalist asked about whether US officials would meet with Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu.

Harf said she didn't know about Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu’s visit with a large delegation, when a journalist said “Currently, the Turkish prime minister, foreign minister and the deputy prime minister are in New York and they’ll stay there about two, three days. And it looks like they are not coming to Washington.”

When asked whether there would be a meeting with Turkish officials, Harf said “I’m sorry, I hadn't heard that.
