'Peaceful' Qatari Emir Praises 'Moderate' Iran's Peaceful Approach. (Fars).
Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al
Thani in a meeting with Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani lauded
Iran for its peaceful approach and policy towards his nation.
"Since
the victory of the Islamic Revolution, Iran has never created any
problem for us and the two countries have had good relations," Al Thani
said during the meeting in Doha on Wednesday.
"At present, we also support settlement of the regional problems through talks," he added.
Larijani, for his part, underlined the necessity
for increasing economic relations between the two countries as well as
settlement of the regional issues.
Larijani visited Qatar after wrapping up a one-day trip to Kuwait.
Upon arrival at Doha airport on Tuesday night,
Larijani announced that Tehran and Doha had doubled efforts to increase
their economic and trade relations and cooperation.
Speaking to reporters, Larijani said he planned to meet the high-ranking Qatari officials during the visit.
"During this trip, we will try to increase our
parliamentary and economic relations with Qatar. Also we will consult on
crucial regional issues," he added.
Also, Qatari Speaker Muhammad Bin Mubarak Bin
Saleh al-Khalifi welcomed Larijani and his entourage, and said, "Iran
