"No You Can't" - Iran warns Turkey over desire of military intervention in Syria. (Taz).
Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of a seminar on Iraq and the International coalition against Daesh terrorist group which was held at Tehran-based Center for Strategic research on the Middle East, Amir-Abdollahian said regional talks are underway over the humanitarian crisis in the Syrian Kurdish border town of Kobani, IRNA Agency reported."In preliminary talks with Turkey we found out that the Turkish government is not after exacerbating the crisis in the region and we hope Turkey will play a positive role," Amir-Abdollahian said.
Amir-Abdollahian said Iran will take every necessary action in the context of its assistance to the Syrian government in the fight against terrorism helping the Kurds in Kobani.
However, he did not specify what kind of assistance Iran will provide to Syria.
"Our talks with our friendly nation, Turkey, are underway," he said.
"We think the Turkish government would work effectively to repatriate the Syrian refugees."
On the possibility of Iraq's breakup, he said: "We have announced our stand in this regard and the Islamic Republic of Iran believes that a unified Iraq benefits the iupdatenterests of the region."

TEHRAN, Oct 9 (KUNA) -- Iran does not want Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad to remain in power forever, however, it will not allow the current government to be toppled by those a leading official deemed as terrorists.
"We do not want Bashar Assad to remain Syrian president forever. But, we will not allow the terrorists to succeed in their attempt to destroy the Syrian legitimate government," Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab and African Affairs Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said a seminar on Iraq and the international coalition against the Islamic State (ISIL) insurgency.
He warned that there would be "severe consequences" if the US and the international alliance, which is currently striking ISIL insurgent targets by air in Syria and Iraq, carries out steps aimed at causing "fundamental changes" in Syria.
Meanwhile he said that during talks, officials in Turkey, which forms a side in the alliance, were also warned against launching a land military offensive within Syria.
"During our preliminary consultations with Turkey, we have found out that this country does not seek escalation of crisis in the region and we hope it would play a positive role in this regard," he said.
Iran will take the measures it sees fit in providing support to Kurds, beseiged by ISIL militants, in the Syrian city of Kobani as part of aid it supplies to the Syrian government, he added.
