Turkey's
Since becoming Turkey’s president in August, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has been upgrading all his presidential assets.
Following the $300 million luxury jet purchase, which arrived in Ankara a day after his inauguration, President Erdoğan reserved the controversial lavish presidential palace for himself, though it was originally intended for the Prime Minister's use.
After these two purchases, Erdoğan revealed a new 2015 Mercedes for official use which cost TL 1.5 million. Erdoğan was seen with his new car on Friday. The custom-build 2015 Mercedes runs on 12 cylinders and 6,000 HP of engine power, and is heavily armored against attacks.
These upgrades are not just limited to the presidential car in Erdoğan’s convoy — the convoy's ambulance was replaced by a new fully-equipped one which has protection against biological attacks.
‘New Turkey’
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan addressed public criticism concerning the lavish expenses on the country's new presidential palace saying: “In this country, there are some who put bricks together and there are others who cannot even dream about it. Such [discussions] of the ‘old Turkey' have been left behind.”
“If you are growing in a modern world and have a bid to compete with others, you should take a stand,” he said.Hmmm.......Proverbs 16:18-19 "Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall. Better to be lowly in spirit and among the oppressed than to share plunder with the proud". Read the full story here.
