Last Tuesday, five men were arrested in the south of France, as part of an investigation into a jihadist sector to Syria. These men have been indicted in Paris Friday, Jan. 30, for "criminal association for the preparation of acts of terrorism", and imprisoned in the night.

Aged 26 to 44, the five men suspected of recruiting volunteers to fight in Iraq and Syria, were arrested in three small towns in the Gard and Herault, southern France. These men have now been charged with "criminal association for the preparation of terrorist acts."

Two of them are believed to have spent several months in Syrian jihadists held areas in 2013 and 2014. The other three, who were arrested in Lunel in Herault, are believed to have sent equipment and facilitated the departure of young people to Syria, including two brothers of one of them, now deceased.

The case of the city of Lunel, which has about 26,000 inhabitants, is notable because about twenty young people 18 to 30 years have gone since October to fight in Syria, according to the French authorities, six have already been found dead .

If indictees are indeed guilty, Bernard Cazeneuve, Minister of the Interior, is a particularly dangerous sector and organized that would have been dismantled. Hmmmm........Twenty wannabe ISIL terrorists in such a small town.....just imagine the numbers in large cities.
