Muslim 'Clock Kid' Ahmed was Serial Troublemaker.

Muslim 'Clock Kid' Ahmed was Serial Troublemaker. (INN).

The Muslim teenager from Texas who was arrested for bringing his home-made clock to school was a “weird little kid” that could have a future in crime, one of his former teachers said, according to the Daily Mail.

Ralph Kubiak, a retired teacher from the Sam Houston Middle School, said that 14-year-old Ahmed Mohamed was a troublemaker in his younger years.

He’s one of those that could either be CEO of a company or head of a gang,” Kubiak was quoted as having told the Dallas Morning News.

The teenager was arrested two weeks ago after teachers at MacArthur High School mistook a homemade clock for a bomb. He was later invited to the White House by President Barack Obama, after the story went viral on social media.

The clock debacle wasn’t the first time Mohamed raised eyebrows in the school district, according to the Daily Mail. In middle school he racked up a number of suspensions and once made a homemade remote to turn off one of his classroom projectors.

The Irving School District investigated claims of anti-Muslim bullying from staff members and students about a year after Mohamed arrived at the school, knowing almost no English.

Mohamed claimed his classmates called him “ISIS boy” and said his teachers told him he couldn’t pray in school, according to the report..

The teen’s disciplinary record is confidential, but peers and former students said that some incidents were blown out of proportion.

Mohamed reportedly brought several versions of his homemade clock to school in the past without a problem. Read the full story here.

British ISIS Member Fundraiser, Directs ‘Serious’ Donors To Contact ISIS Via Secure Messaging App Kik. (Memri).

On September 24, 2015, British Islamic State (ISIS) member Omar Hussain, aka Abu Saeed Al-Britani, from High Wycombe, England, published an appeal on his Tumblr account to Muslims living in the West to donate money for ISIS.[1]

Al-Britani’s post, titled “The Importance Of Financially Aiding The Mujahidin,” focuses primarily on providing religious justifications, citing Koranic verses and hadiths, for Muslims’ obligation to support the jihad with money.

According to Al-Britani, aiding the mujahideen and jihad with one’s wealth is a form of jihad

He also says that the Koran has always prioritized financial jihad over physical jihad, saying:

Allah first mentions jihad with one’s wealth thus showing the great importance of spending one’s wealth in jihad, and showing that jihad cannot function properly without financial aid; for indeed jihad is in need of financial contributions for it to properly succeed. The Mujahidin need wealth, and I am informing you of this while in the lands of jihad; the Mujahidin need [the word is emphasized in the original text] financial contributions from their brothers overseas.”Read the full story here.

'What's your Jihad?' - Probe launched after possible sabotage in Turkish military aircrafts.

'What's your Jihad?' - Probe launched after possible sabotage in Turkish military aircrafts.(Bugun).

The detection of damaged cables on two separate aircrafts at an İzmir airbase has triggered suspicion of a sabotage attempt, and an investigation has been opened.

Military prosecutors launched a probe after a cut cable was found in a jet during a final check before its flight two months ago.

Following the first incident, two noncommissioned officers were tasked with conducting a technical check on another jet on Feb. 9, discovering that cables part of the landing gears under both aero foils were cut. The officers, who knew about the first incident, notified their commanders about the second.

The two were taken into custody as suspects and then sent to a military court, with demands for their arrest on charges of deliberately damaging military property.

The court released the officers, stating that there was no verbal or written evidence for the claims. Hmmmm.......Very crude way of sabotage, pilot would notice right away that ailerons don't respond in test before takeoff, doubt story Read the full story here.

Islamic State terror cell in Israel practiced beheading by slaughtering sheep.

Islamic State terror cell in Israel practiced beheading by slaughtering sheep. (Ynet).

Indictment states members of cell trained at farm that belongs to Attorney Adnan Jamil Ala a-Din, the self-proclaimed 'IS chief of staff in Palestine'; Haifa court extends suspects' remand.

The Israeli-Arab terror cell charged two weeks ago with attempting to join the Islamic State trained for the fighting in Syria and Iraq by slaughtering sheep. The Haifa District Court on Monday extended the cell members' remand for the duration of the proceedings against them.

The seven suspects from northern Israel turned to reporters present at the court Monday, denying the allegations attributed to them.

According to the indictment, six of the suspects used to meet and plan their trip to Syria to join the Islamic State. During the meetings in the Sakhnin area, the six would argue about whether to support the Islamic State or Jabhat al-Nusra. Eventually, they decide to join the Islamic State in June of 2014

Later, the six met Adnan Jamil Ala a-Din, a 39-year-old former public defender from Nazareth, who has branded himself the "Islamic State chief of staff in Palestine," whom they contacted via Facebook.

According to the indictment, the members of the cell trained in a farm in Kafr Manda owned by the attorney. They learned how to ride horses and how to prepare Molotov cocktails and purchased sheep to slaughter them as part of their training.

When asked to comment on the indictment filed against him, Attorney Ala a-Din cursed at the reporters.

Another defendant said that "there's no basis to all of the accusations, we have nothing to do with Daesh (Islamic State) or any other organization. I still don't understand why they arrested me."

A third defendant said "it's all lies. I think the arrests were made so Prime Minister Netanyahu's support rate will increase on our expense. We're ahead of elections and he just wants to prove himself. We're sure we didn't support Daesh and all that is attributed to us lacks evidence." Read the full story here.

Recruitment cell for ISIL discovered in the south of France, five arrested.

Recruitment cell for ISIL discovered in the south of France, five arrested. (RFI). {GoogleTranslate].

Last Tuesday, five men were arrested in the south of France, as part of an investigation into a jihadist sector to Syria. These men have been indicted in Paris Friday, Jan. 30, for "criminal association for the preparation of acts of terrorism", and imprisoned in the night.

Aged 26 to 44, the five men suspected of recruiting volunteers to fight in Iraq and Syria, were arrested in three small towns in the Gard and Herault, southern France. These men have now been charged with "criminal association for the preparation of terrorist acts."

Two of them are believed to have spent several months in Syrian jihadists held areas in 2013 and 2014. The other three, who were arrested in Lunel in Herault, are believed to have sent equipment and facilitated the departure of young people to Syria, including two brothers of one of them, now deceased.

The case of the city of Lunel, which has about 26,000 inhabitants, is notable because about twenty young people 18 to 30 years have gone since October to fight in Syria, according to the French authorities, six have already been found dead .

If indictees are indeed guilty, Bernard Cazeneuve, Minister of the Interior, is a particularly dangerous sector and organized that would have been dismantled. Hmmmm........Twenty wannabe ISIL terrorists in such a small town.....just imagine the numbers in large cities.

Erdogan sowing a New Jihadi Generation.

Erdogan sowing a New Jihadi Generation. by Abigail R. Esman, Special to IPT News.

First, he promised to build a new, "religious generation." Now, Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan appears to be going one step further: creating, too, a new generation for jihad.
If that sounds a bit like the Islamic State, there is one significant distinction: IS leaders shape their youth by teaching them to use Kalashnikovs and knives. Erdogan is shaping children's minds. And that can be far more dangerous.

This is not to say that Erdogan is himself a terrorist leader, despite his cozy relationships with Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood. And perhaps has has never realized the full gravity of his programs. But is there, leaving many in Turkey's Western, secular, intellectual elite to worry about their children's future.

Throughout his leadership, beginning with his election to prime minister in 2003, Erdogan has restructured the formerly-secular education system overseeing the growth of imam hatip, or religious training schools, throughout the country. According to the Financial Times, such schools boasted 63,000 students in 2002-2003; by 2014, the number of imam hatip students had exploded to 983,000.
What makes this particularly disturbing is the fact that tens, if not hundreds of thousands of these students never signed up for imam hatips to begin with. Rather, Erdogan systematically reshaped existing secular public schools and redesigned the student examination system so that thousands of children are assigned to imam hatips even against their will.

But he hasn't stopped there. As of a year ago, all public schools also provide mandatory "religious culture and ethics" courses beginning at age nine. Yet despite a 2007 European Court of Human Rights ruling requiring education in all religions, human rights lawyer and columnist Orhan Kemal Cengiz writes in Al-Monitor, "Sunni Islam continues to be imposed, with students required to memorize Islamic prayers and Quranic verses."

Now Turkey's first democratically-elected president has, through his education minister, expanded such "morality" classes to begin in nursery school, where six-year-olds will receive such lessons as "patience protects young people's chastity in environments full of illegitimate desires." Children throughout the Republic, according to newspaper Milliyet, will also learn that "death is a blessing according to our faith. It means salvations from the heavy burden of living."
Can calls for martyrdom be far behind?

Moreover, the "morality" and "values" lessons being taught to many of Turkey's youth are being given by teachers whose religious and political leanings heavily tint their "moral" views. At Istanbul's 500-year-old Galatasaray academy, a student's mother told me, one teacher taught her class that green is the color both of inner peace and of Islam. But be careful, the teacher said. Starbucks' logo is also green, yet she would never buy her coffee from them: "the owners of Starbucks are Jews, and the Jews are killing our Muslim brothers."

A Jewish girl in the class remained silent; but when her mother complained to the school's director, he did nothing. And so goes "morality" for the future of the Turkish people.

These latest moves follow another, significant effort: requiring schools to teach the Ottoman language and alphabet, both of which were banned by Mustafa Kemal Ataturk in 1928, five years after the founding of the Republic.

This, as Al Jazeera recently pointed out, is no small matter. Ataturk banned Ottoman as a language, including its written form – which melded Arabic and Farsi script –as a critical part of his program to turn the country Westward: modern Turkish uses a Western, Latin alphabet and incorporates words from English and German. Few contemporary Turks can read Ottoman, and even fewer understand Arabic or Farsi.

But a culture rests profoundly on its language. Stanford University psychology professor Lera Boroditsky has found that "if you change how people talk, that changes how they think. If people learn another language, they inadvertently also learn a new way of looking at the world ... All this new research shows us that the languages we speak not only reflect or express our thoughts, but also shape the very thoughts we wish to express. The structures that exist in our languages profoundly shape how we construct reality."

By reintroducing Ottoman as a language, especially alongside religious educational systems, Erdogan is returning his country to its Ottoman, Islamic past both in knowledge and in thought – and away from the modern secular state that has long been a partner and ally of the West. And in his oft-underestimated shrewdness, he is using the minds of Turkey's youngest to lead the way: those six-year-olds now learning to honor death and memorize the Quran and identify with the glory of the Ottomans will, in 12 years, enter the nation's military.

Which seems to be just what Erdogan has had in mind all along. Writing in World Affairs Journal in 2013, Hillel Fradkin and Lewis Libby pointed to a little-noticed remark then-Prime Minister Erdogan made to his congress, in which he called on the country's youth to look beyond the 100th anniversary of the Republic in 2023 and to prepare for the year 2071. "This is a date that is unlikely to be meaningful for Westerners," Fradkin and Libby observe, "but is evocative for many Turks. 2071 will mark one thousand years since the Battle of Manzikert. There, the Seljuk Turks—a tribe originally from Central Asia—decisively defeated the leading Christian power of that era, the Byzantine Empire, and thereby stunned the medieval world.

At the battle's end, the Seljuk leader stepped on the Christian emperor's throat to mark Christendom's humiliation. The Seljuk victory began a string of events that allowed the Seljuk Turks to capture the lands of modern Turkey and create an empire that would stretch across much of Palestine, Iraq, Syria, and Iran.

In evoking Manzikert, Erdogan recalled for today's Turks the glories of their aggressive warrior ancestors who had set out to conquer non-Muslim lands and, along the way, fought off the hated Shias of their day to dominate much of the Middle East."

Less than two years later, with ISIS building its caliphate-by-blood just across the border, the shaping of the new Erdogan generation looks more threatening than ever. Hmmm.....The 'Dragon teeth' have been planted Europe & U.S. will harvest the destruction.

Spain Detains 14-year-old Girl Going for Jihad in Iraq after radicalization by local Imam.

Spain Detains 14-year-old Girl Going for Jihad after radicalization by local Imam. HT: Rudaw.

BARCELONA, Spain – A 14-year-old Spanish Muslim girl was sent to a juvenile detention center after confessing she was headed for the Middle East to join the jihad.

The girl, who has not been publicly identified, was arrested last Saturday in the North African Spanish enclave of Melilla together with 19-year-old Fauzia Allal Mohamed, with whom she said she was going to join jihadists fighting in Syria and Iraq.

The El Pais newspaper reported Tuesday that while the younger girl was sent to the juvenile center, the older woman was released on bail after denying any links to jihadists.

It was the first time Spanish security forces had arrested women trying to join the jihad. Both appeared separately before Supreme Court judges on Tuesday. They were arrested while trying to cross into Morocco, en route to Iraq.

The 14-year-old, who according to her family was just an “average” schoolgirl until four months ago, started to become radicalized by the sermons of an imam at a mosque in her town, El Pais quoted sources as saying.

The girl has also told Spanish authorities that she was not the only youngster to travel from Morocco to war zones. Other girls, whose identities she has given, were to travel with her.

She said she had contacted Mohamed for help to cross the border to Morocco. Mohamed, who denied any links to terrorism, was released on bail and will have to report every week to the nearest court to her home. She is also not allowed to travel outside Spain.

The two were arrested as they were trying to cross the border into Morocco to contact the cell that had recruited them. Their aim was to be taken to a border area between Syria and Iraq to join the Islamic State (IS/ISIS), according to the Spanish Interior Ministry.

El Pais quoted police sources as saying the younger girl is from the Spanish enclave of Ceuta. She reportedly disappeared a few days ago from her home and the family had contacted police, saying they were afraid she had joined a radical Islamic organization.

Over the past few months, Spain has arrested members of three jihadist recruitment cells in Ceuta and Melilla. Seven men from Ceuta have been reported killed in Syria fighting with the Islamists.

El Pais said police suspected the two girls had been radicalized through the Internet forums.

“They were going to a certain death,” the newspaper quoted a police official as saying.

Many of the radicalized Muslim women have been inspired by 53-year-old Moroccan Fatiha Mejjati, nicknamed the ”black widow,” who had been in Afghanistan with her husband and two children during the 9/11 attacks in the United States.

After an ordeal of imprisonment and losing her husband and a child, Mejjati recently escaped from Moroccan security forces and left to join the IS in Syria. A Moroccan newspaper has reported that she has married Baghdadi’s lieutenant.Hmmmm.....Don't let it worry you, this is just a segment your Islamophobia imagination.

A Bethlehem Greek Orthodox Church (St. George's Church - Khadar - near Beit Jala) was attacked by Muslims during its annual St. George's Day services on May 6. ... Some local Muslims either tried to park a car too close the church and/or tried to enter the church during a service honoring St. George - the initial instigation isn't clear.
But when the intruders were asked to leave, one of them stabbed a Christian man who was outside the church serving as a guard.

He was hospitalized. Several then started throwing stones at the church. 7 or 8 Christians were injured and some physical damage was done - broken windows etc. The police didn’t show up for an hour.

Turkish FM Davutoğlu slams ‘jihadist Erdoğan’ translation in English media

How dare they call him a jihadist.
Turkish FM Ahmet Davutoğlu  slams ‘jihadist Erdoğan’ translation in English media.(TZ).

In remarks that appeared to be targeting Today's Zaman, Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu has slammed the use of the word “jihadist” in an English translation for the Turkish word “mücahid” to describe the slogan employed by some of Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's supporters, saying it is the reflection of a crusader and neo-Orientalist mentality.

Columnists and commentators in pro-government media have attacked Today's Zaman after its Ankara representative and columnist Abdullah Bozkurt translated on Twitter a slogan by Erdoğan's supporters at a rally in İstanbul as “jihadist Erdoğan.”

The original slogan was “Mücahid Erdoğan,” the Turkish version of the Arabic word “mujahid,” which literally means “holy warrior” or “religious warrior.

“PM Erdoğan fans chant ‘Jihadist Erdoğan' in another public rally next to his home in İstanbul late Friday night,” Bozkurt wrote in a tweet on Dec. 27.

Bozkurt instantly became the target of a wave of criticism by pro-government scribes on Twitter and later on in pro-government media, who claim that he intentionally attempted to present Erdoğan as a radical to the West and the US in particular knowing that the word “jihadist” has a very negative connotation there.

Burak Bekdil, a columnist for Hürriyet Daily News, also translated the same slogan as “jihadist Erdoğan” in a column published on Jan. 1, although it went largely unnoticed among the pro-government commentators.

Without openly naming Today's Zaman or Hürriyet Daily News, Davutoğlu on Friday said that the translation was an “attack which has no moral basis.”“Referring to our prime minister by translating the word ‘jihadist' in an English translation for the Turkish ‘mücahid' is an aggressive attitude that does not have any moral basis. I am saying it openly; this is crusader mentality or the reflection of neo-orientalist mentality,” Davutoğlu said during a televised program aired on Kanal 24 TV on Thursday.

Davutoğlu maintained that it was an aggressive attitude not only against the prime minister but to the Islam civilization and its beliefs. Why shouldn't they [supporters of Erdoğan] chant? The names of the ones who resisted in Cyprus were also ‘mücahid.'

Davutoğlu also said there has been no official criticism directed at the government from the European Union regarding the reassignment of hundreds of police officials and proposed changes to the structure of the Supreme Board of Judges and Prosecutors (HSYK) -- the body responsible for appointments in the judiciary -- which has been criticized by the government since a corruption scandal erupted on Dec. 17 with detentions of officials, businessmen close to the government and sons of three ministers, who were later removed from their posts."There has been no direct criticism or statement [from the EU] directed towards us. I have had no contact [with EU officials]," said Davutoğlu in response to a question.Hmmmm..... Dutch EP rapporteur Oomen-Ruijten: Erdogan's International plot claims ‘pure nonsense'.Read the full story here.

Ria Oomen-Ruijten, a member of the European Parliament and the EP rapporteur on Turkey, said the recent events have shaken the image of Turkey, not just in Europe but all around the globe, the result being “an absolute bad image.”

Oomen-Ruijten has already completed the draft of her report on Turkey and the draft is expected to be voted on at the EP plenary at the end of February.

Reacting to Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's characterization of Prosecutor Muammer Akkaş as a “disgrace,” the EP rapporteur noted that combating corruption was of utmost importance for the good functioning of the rule of law “whether politicians like it or not.”
