Israel's 'Staunchest Ally' the Obama 'admin' Excludes Jewish people In War Bill.(IB).
U.S. President Barack Obama asked Congress to give formal authority to use military force in the war against Islamic State. However, the Wednesday bill did not include the world “Jews.”
Freshman Lee Zeldin, the only Republican Jewish member of Congress, says that Obama’s proposed resolution mentions multiple ethnic groups as the target of Islamic State. It mentions Turkmens, Yezidis and Iraqi Christians. However, the resolution does not mention about Jewish people.
"I see an understanding, a recognition in the resolution with regards to ISIS attacks on Muslims, on Christians and others, and I didn't see a reference to Jews," CNN quotes the New York Republican, "And one of the efforts I've been involved in is trying to raise awareness for the rising tide of anti-Semitism."
Zeldin wondered if the White House made it a deliberate attempt to omit “Jews” from the list of ethnic groups as IS targets from the bill.
He has said that every single word, every phrase in there has to be done deliberately when the White House drafts a resolution for the authorisation of force. He insists that Jews should have been included in the resolution proposed by the White House.Obama and the White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest were earlier criticized after their comment that the terrorist attack at a kosher supermarket in Paris had not been specifically aimed at Jews. Earnest said that there had been “people other than Jews.”
Obama said in an interview published on Monday that it was “entirely legitimate” for the American people to be “deeply concerned” by the “bunch of violent, vicious zealots.” Earnest later clarified the president’s comment.
“The adverb that the president chose was used to indicate that the individuals who were killed in that terrible, tragic incident were killed, not because of who they were, but because of where they randomly happened to be,” Politico quotes the White House press secretary. He said that the individuals had not been targeted by name. “There were people other than Jews who were in that deli,” he said.
A GOP leadership aide was quick to criticise Earnest. He said that the comment was one of the reasons why many people did not trust the Obama administration about defending Israel. Hmmmm.......A deep rooted anti Israeli policy from this 'admin' is becoming more and more obvious......Just admit it's not 'randomly'
