Trump’s Top Military Adviser Is Lobbying For Obscure Company With Ties To Turkish 'Government'. (DC).

The revelation of that new lobbying contract, which has not been previously reported, raises several questions given that Trump is said to be considering Flynn, the former director of the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), to take over as either Secretary of Defense or National Security Advisor.
It also raises questions about disclosure.

Flynn wrote an op-ed for The Hill on Tuesday, just before Trump’s stunning upset of Hillary Clinton, in which he heaped praise on Erdogan and called on the next president, whoever that would be, to accede his request to extradite the U.S.-based Muslim cleric Fethullah Gülen back to Turkey.

The piece does not include a disclosure that Flynn Intel Group, the consulting firm that Flynn founded in Oct. 2014, just after leaving DIA, was recently hired to lobby Congress by a Dutch company called Inovo BV that was founded by a Turkish businessman who holds a top position on Turkey’s Foreign Economic Relations Board.

The lobbying disclosure does not say how much Inovo BV is paying Flynn’s firm. It lists former congressional aide Robert Kelley as the lobbyist who is handling the contract and says that he is working on “organizational consulting” for Inovo BV.

Flynn’s recent op-ed appears to be at odds with some of his past comments about Turkey and its role in the war against ISIS. In the op-ed he refers to the Islamic nation, which is a member of NATO, is “vital to U.S. interests” and is the U.S.’s “strongest ally” against ISIS. The United States has not extended its sanctions against Belarusian arms trader BelTechExport. The Belarusian company is on a list of entities that are no longer subject to US sanctions, which was published by the US Department of State on May 24.

On May 23, 2011, the United States imposed its sanctions on the Belarusian Optical Mechanical Association (BelOMO) and BelTechExport under its Iran, North Korea, and Syria Nonproliferation Act.
The sanctions were imposed because of "credible information indicating that they had transferred to or acquired from Iran, North Korea, or Syria equipment and technology listed on multilateral export control lists or otherwise having the potential to make a material contribution to weapons of mass destruction or cruise or ballistic missile systems."

The sanctions, which were to be effective for two years, meant that US government agencies were banned from buying any goods, services or technologies from the companies or providing any assistance to them.

BelTechExport representatives visited the United States this past April, holding talks with Department of State officials in charge of non-proliferation activities.

In 2011, BelTechExport was banned from doing business in the European Union because it was controlled by Belarusian businessman Uladzimir Peftsiyew, who is described by the bloc as Alyaksandr Lukashenka’s "chief economic advisor and key financial sponsor."In 2012, the arms trader announced that it was no longer controlled by Mr. Peftsiyew.Hmmmm........Iran.....Venezuela........Belarus.Read the full story here.

"Turkey future Nr. 1 Arms dealer of the Middle East?" - Turkish unmanned aircraft to be produced serially.(HD).The serial production of Turkish local unmanned aircraft ANKA will begin as developer Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) is set to sign a contract with the Defense Industry Undersecretary in one to two months, the undersecretary has said.

Some features of the craft are to be developed as well, according to Defense Industry Undersecretary Murad Bayer.

Bayar noted that ANKA is actually a national design development project and the final acceptance tests of the vehicle were completed last month. The tests included an over 18-hour-long test flight, demonstration of full endurance, 200 km data link range performance under winds reaching 45 knots and night take-offs and landings.

The next stage is the serial production of 10 ANKA systems for the Turkish Air Force, whose contract negotiations for it are already underway, Bayar said.

“These systems will have a more progressive design and features than regular design-development aircraft,” he said, adding that despite the plan to develop some characteristics, the ANKA system is already a successful unmanned aircraft as it is now.

In his remarks, he also mentioned that Turkish defense industrialists have been working on another rifle, the Milli Piyade Tüfeği, which they expect to reveal the details of to the public as soon as the qualification tests are completed successfully.The rifle will be particular to Turkey, the undersecretary added.

Turkey has initiated negotiations for selling ANKA unmanned aerial vehicle systems as well as CIRIT rocket systems, Atal helicopters and Altay tanks, Bayar said.

Accelerating its attempts to boost its arms exports to Gulf countries, Turkish missile manufacturer Roketsan agreed to export its own laser-guided rocket system, known as the CIRIT, to the army of the United Arab Emirates for a total of $196.2 million.Read the full story here.

So, after the Senate Intelligence Committee viewed emails, it's now apparent that Obama's nominee for CIA Director - John Brennan - was involved in altering the talking points used by U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice on September 16th. When taken together with the book written by a former Navy SEAL who was best friends with Glen Doherty and a former Green Beret, it would make sense that Brennan wouldn't want the truth to come out... assuming the charges made by Jack Murphy and Brandon Webb are accurate.

Again, they allege that Brennan was covertly ordering weapons raids in the region and that the 9/11/12 attacks were in retaliation for those raids. If that's true, the administration would indeed have a motive to push the narrative that the attacks were retaliation for a video, not Brennan's operation.

“Brennan was involved,” Senate Intelligence Committee Vice-Chairman Saxby Chambliss (R-Ga.) said after the briefing. “It's pretty obvious what happened.”

“At the end of the day it should have been pretty easy to determine who made the changes and what changes were made.”

He described an “extensive, bureaucratic and frankly unnecessary process” that led to the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations publicly linking the attack to a peaceful protest gone awry. Republicans have accused the White House of twisting the talking points to avoid harming Obama's national security reputation ahead of the November elections.

Despite this revelation, the media narrative - even in conservative circles - is that the emails don't show an effort to avoid pinning the attacks on terrorists. The apathy and lack of consideration for the work of Webb and Murphy is a bit stunning, really.Read and see the full story here.
