Turkey's 'Islamist' Totalitarian judicial plan to face constitutional challenge.

Turkey's 'Islamist' Totalitarian judicial plan to face constitutional challenge.(Bugun).

The new package grants extraordinary powers to Criminal Courts of Peace, which looks over crimes against the state and the constitution, including the ability to: Operate in any geographical jurisdiction whatsoever,

Apprehend practically any individual or organization on “plausible suspicion” of ‘undermining the state’ and confiscate assets, Hide indictments from defendants' lawyers until it becomes approved, and Promote lawyers with just two years of experience to become judges and state prosecutors to serve as henchmen of the government.
Law professionals, opposition politicians, academicians from across the board have issued a warning; ‘Turkey is becoming a police state’
Critics, including Turkey’s ex-Minister of Justice Hikmet Sami Türk, note that the proposed package practically would constitute a state overhaul over the judiciary; “granting itself power to wipe out any form of opposition in the society and politics.”

Turgut Özal University political science professor Mahmut Akpınar notes that any individual in society will become a potential suspect, and raises a fundamental concern: “what is the criteria or degree by which someone is determined to be a plausible suspect? There can be no mentioning of separation of powers in a country where the government views the judicial branch as servants.”

According to Prof. Dr. Ergun Özbudun, who had worked constitution reform draft outline to the AK Party administration, another highly controversial clause prevents lawyers of defendants to have access to indictments. “The right to defense is a fundamental right. This new reform package is in clear violation of this,” Özbudun said.

However the new package is not just limited to individual and society; there will be “significant damage of the country’s economy,” says lawyer Ergin Cinmen.

The entire intention for the clause pertaining to asset confiscation is to collapse businesses who do not follow the governments agenda,” Cinmen continued. “For example a media establishment could easily be sunk simply on guilt by association. Certain banks can be taken over. As a result, investors will flee the country.”

Critics have slammed the government for accusing the Hizmet movement of influential Islamic Preacher Fethullah Gülen as a scapegoat alleging that the movement was attempting to topple the government.

The government is using its attacks on movement as a shroud. This matter concerns all of society,” according to CHP deputy Hamzaçebeci. Hmmmm......Remember when Erdogan said: "I'm not a dictator, it's not even in my blood"? Chances are high he lied.

Flashback:  Erdogan wants to force Turks to choose between two options: You're either with Erdogan, or against him. And if you are against him, you are with the old, wooden-headed, military-backed, secularist system and its decadent offspring. "Those who are neutral will be disposed of," Erdogan told AKP parliamentarians today.
