Iran - Head of the Strategic Council on Foreign Relations Kharrazi: Bashar Assad leaving is Iran’s red line. (TNA).

The head of the Strategic Council on Foreign Relations has said the fact that Bashar Assad should remain in office until the end of his term is one of Iran’s red lines.

Kamal Kharrazi told the Munich Security Conference Core Group Meeting on Saturday that the Syrian people should determine the future of this country.

He further said that Iran and Europe can work together on the Syrian question, adding that the time will come when everybody accepts that political dialogue should be held [to reach the stated objectives in the region].
