Hundreds of supporters of ISIL allegedly performs Eid prayer in 'Islamist' Turkey's Istanbul, calls for war.

Hundreds of supporters of ISIL allegedly performs Eid prayer in 'Islamist' Turkey's Istanbul, calls for war. (TZ).

The Turkish media reported on Sunday that a group of ISIL militants -- allegedly consisting of 1,000 ISIL members -- gathered at a picnic site in İstanbul's Ömerli neighborhood to perform the prayers signaling the end of the holy month of Ramadan and the beginning of the celebration of Eid al-Fitr.
According to the news agency Sputnik Türkiye, the prayer was led by Halis Bayancuk, also known as Abu Hanzala, who is alleged to be one of ISIL's most high-ranking members in Turkey. He allegedly called on the supporters after the prayer to engage in war.
As part of his 14-minute speech, Bayancuk, who is said to be in charge of the al-Qaeda network in Turkey, criticized democracy and called for the formation of a state governed by religious law.

Also criticizing the Turkish government, Bayancuk said the Gülen movement, inspired by the Turkish Islamic scholar Fethullah Gülen, was being unfair towards members of ISIL and al-Qaeda and was instigating arbitrary detainments through its alleged contacts in law enforcement and judicial circles.

ISIL forbids its followers to join prayers in mosques located in countries not under the group's control. A similar gathering was also held last year. The İstanbul Governor's Office made an announcement stating that the group had not obtained the necessary permission to perform their prayer on public property, after images of the prayer caused a public outcry.

ISIL is also known as a Salafi extremist militant group and self-proclaimed caliphate and Islamic state led by Sunni Arabs from Iraq and Syria. Read the full story here.

Islamic State in agitprop video showing 70 Indonesian terrorist fighters hailing jihad.

A two-minute video has surfaced showing more 70 Indonesian-speaking men in military fatigues and armed with rifles preparing for a field assignment with the Islamic State (IS) group.

In the video, the men seem to be in good spirits, and refer to themselves as the Ikhwan Nusantara, or the brothers of the archipelago – a reference to Indonesia, which is the world's largest archipelagic nation.

"Hoist the (IS) flag. We are all making the preparation to reach plentiful and eternal goodness," said the narrator, who later said they were in Jabal Khalifa, Syria.

The videographer also introduced some of the men as he walked around, giving their names.

The clip is the latest evidence for the existence of the Katibah Nusantara Lid Daulah Islamiyyah, or Malay Archipelago unit for IS. For analysts, it is proof that a significant number of Indonesians have joined the terrorist group.

Indonesian authorities estimate that there could be as many as 500 Indonesians in Syria fighting for the Islamic State group. Other sources believe the number could be higher. Counter-terrorism officials have verified 159 Indonesians as IS militants.

Indonesia, a country of some 250 million people, is the world’s most populous Muslim country. For years, it has promoted a moderate version of Islam.

In the recent past, the authorities have been able to eradicate some dangerous jihadi networks, like al Qaeda-affiliated Jamaah Islamiah.

However, the video is important. For Taufik Andrie, executive director of the Institute of International Peace Building in Jakarta, it constitutes "strategic propaganda” because “It shows the Indonesians having a place, a force there [i.e. Syria]. As such, it is an open invitation for “other pro-ISIS people in Indonesia to join,” he told The Straits Times.

By a moderate guess, at least 300 Indonesians have gone to Syria and the number goes up each month. Many of those who have slipped into Syria pretended to be tourists or students.

The emergence of the new clip comes as officials in Indonesia are getting tough on IS supporters, ready to charge as many as 14 men accused of either creating a website to promote the IS group, or funding and helping IS supporters to travel to the Middle East to join the so-called caliphate.

One of the men, Muhammad Amin Mude, 41, was arrested after police said they foiled his attempt to arrange for six people with fake passports to go to Syria.

"We see all of them as one group who have divided tasks among themselves. They are in one group with a wanted terrorist, Abu Jandal, who threatened to attack the government, [and] the prisons that house terrorists in Indonesia," said prosecutor Nana Riana.

Inside an ISIL training camp, children are told: Behead the doll.

Inside an ISIL training camp, children are told: Behead the doll. (GulfNews).

Sanliurfa, Turkey: The children were each given a doll and a sword. Then they were lined up, more than 120 of them, and given their next lesson by their Daesh instructors: Behead the doll.

A 14-year-old who was among the line of abducted boys from Iraq’s Yazidi religious minority said at first he couldn’t cut it right - he chopped once, twice, three times.

“Then they taught me how to hold the sword, and they told me how to hit. They told me it was the head of the infidels,” the boy, renamed Yahya by his Daesh captors, recalled in an interview last week in northern Iraq, where he fled after escaping the Daesh training camp.

Dozens of young Yazidi boys like Yahya had a different fate: The Daesh sought to re-educate them. They forced them to convert to Islam from their ancient faith and tried to turn them into militant fighters.

It is part of a concerted effort by the extremists to build a new generation of militants, according to interviews with residents who fled or still live under Daesh in Syria and Iraq. The group is recruiting teens and children using gifts, threats, and brainwashing. Boys have been turned into executioners and suicide bombers. A Daesh video issued last week showed a boy beheading a Syrian soldier under an adult militant’s supervision. Last month, a video showed 25 children unflinchingly shooting 25 captured Syrian soldiers in the head.

In schools and mosques, militants infuse children with extremist doctrine, often turning them against their own parents. Fighters in the street befriend children with toys. Daesh training camps churn out the Ashbal, Arabic for “lion cubs,” child fighters for the “caliphate” that Daesh declared across its territory.

Recruit: Joining Daesh a certain death sentence “I am terribly worried about future generations,” said Abu Hafs Naqshabandi, a Syrian shaikh who runs religion classes for refugees in the Turkish city of Sanliurfa to counter Daesh ideology.

The indoctrination mainly targets Sunni children. In Daesh-held towns, militants show young people videos at street booths. They hold outdoor events for children, distributing soft drinks and candy - and propaganda.

They tell adults, “We have given up on you, we care about the new generation,” said an anti-Daesh activist who fled the Syrian city of Raqqa, the caliphate’s de facto capital. He spoke on condition of anonymity to preserve the safety of relatives under Daesh rule.

With the Yazidis, whom Daesh considers heretics ripe for slaughter, the group sought to take another community’s youth, erase their past and replace it with radicalism.

Yahya, his little brother, their mother and hundreds of Yazidis were captured when Daesh seized the Iraqi town of Sulagh in August. They were taken to Raqqa, where the brothers and other Yazidi boys aged 8 to 15 were put in the Farouq training camp. They were given Muslim Arabic names to replace their Kurdish names. Yahya asked that his real name not be used for his and his family’s safety.

He spent nearly five months there, training 8 to 10 hours a day, including exercises, weapons drills and Quran studies. They told him Yazidis are “dirty” and should be killed, he said. They showed him how to shoot someone execution-style, from close range. The boys hit each other in some exercises. Yahya punched his 10-year-old brother, knocking out a tooth.

The trainer “said if I didn’t do it, he’d shoot me,” he said. “They ... told us it would make us tougher. They beat us everywhere.”

In a Daesh video of Farouq camp, boys in camouflage do calisthenics and shout slogans. An Daesh fighter says the boys have studied “jihad” so “in the coming days God Almighty can put them in the front lines to battle the infidels

Now in Dohuk, Yahya and his brother spend much of their time watching TV. They appear outgoing and social. But traces of their ordeal show. When his uncle handed Yahya a pistol, the boy deftly assembled and loaded it.

And he will never forget the videos of beheadings Daesh trainers showed the boys.

“I was scared when I saw that,” he said. “I knew I wouldn’t be able to behead someone like that. Even as an adult.” Read the full story here.

ISIS terrorist group leader Baghdadi allegedly bans broadcast of slaughter scenes.

ISIS terrorist group leader Baghdadi allegedly bans broadcast of slaughter scenes. (Aranews).

Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, alleged caliph of the Islamic State (IS/ISIS), issued orders banning filming scenes of slaughter against opponents by the group’s militants, pro-IS media sources revealed on Friday.

In an official letter to all IS media offices, al-Baghdadi banned releasing any scenes that contain brutal actions.

The IS leader justified his decision, considering the general feelings of Muslims, who may regard the scenes as disgusting and scary to children, according to pro-IS sources.

Some of IS militants supported Baghdadi’s decision, taking into consideration criticism of the public that describes scenes of beheadings as barbaric. While other militants rejected the decision saying that such scenes are meant to intimidate their enemies, represented by western powers, and not the common folk.

Speaking to ARA News, Syrian politician and lawyer Ferid Hisso said that the radical group doesn’t really care about their victims or the public, and that banning the broadcasting of such videos “won’t eliminate the IS-led horrors that have been seen by people around the world over the past couple of years”.

Instead of banning the release of such videos, Baghdadi should have rather banned the crimes behind the scenes. But he has already justified the barbarism of his followers, and his decision makes no sense,” Hisso said.

IS group used to present footages of executions that include heinous scenes committed by militants to terrorize opponents.

“The terrorist group describes its crimes as the application of the rule of God,” Hisso ironically said. Hmmmm.......I don't think so. it's their number one goal:  cast terror in the heart of the unbeliever.
