Video - American Hizb Ut-Tahrir Leader Exhorts Muslims Not to Vote, Says: Islam Here to Dominate. (Memri). Haitham Ibn Thbait, of the American chapter of Hizb Ut-Tahrir, recently exhorted American Muslims to avoid falling into the "electoral trap" and called upon them not to vote in the U.S. elections, saying that getting Muslims to vote was part of an effort to assimilate them and that they had been "tricked" into voting for Clinton, Bush, and Obama in the past. Speaking at the Khilafah 2016 conference, held in Chicago on May 15, Ibn Thbait further called Obama a "terrorist" and said that "Islam is here to dominate." The address was posted on YouTube by Hizb Ut-Tahrir on May 20.

Four followers of the Hizb ut-Tahrir terrorist organization have been detained in the city of Bakhchisarai in Crimea, the republic’s Prosecutor-General Natalya Poklonskaya told TASS on Thursday.

"Officers of the Crimea and Sevastopol department of the Russian Federal Security Service detained members of a terrorist organization and the organizer of this cell in the city of Bakhchisarai. Searches are underway," she said, adding that a criminal case was opened against three Bakhchisarai residents on charges of participating in a terrorist organization and one more person was charged with organizing terrorist activities.

"It has been established that one of those detained, being the leader of a local cell of the terrorist organization, has been engaged in secret anti-constitutional activities by means of conducting propaganda campaigns among local residents to recruit them to his terrorist organization and holding secret meetings," Poklonskaya said.

As many as six followers of Hiz ut-Tahrir have been detained in Crimea since the beginning of the year. The terrorist group was active in Crimea’s resort cities of Yalta and Alushta and maintained friendly relations with the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatars, a public movement outlawed in Russia.

Hizb ut-Tahrir al-Islami (Islamic Party of Liberation) is an international religious and political organization founded in 1953 in Jerusalem. Its goal is to remove all the non-Islamic governments and bring back the Muslims to the "truly Islamic life."

Russia’s Supreme Court banned Hizb ut-Tahrir in 2003 as a terrorist organization.

Russia - Islamic Terrorists charged: Attack on Moscow railroad foiled.(RT).Nine nationals of Russia and Tajikistan have officially been charged with organization of activities for the banned terrorist organization Hizb ut-Tahrir, or Islamic Party of Liberation, says the Russia’s Internal Ministry. The terrorist group activists are also accused of illegal possession of explosives, explosive devices and ammunition. Five of the suspects are leaders of the Russian and Moscow branches of the organization, which was labeled terrorist by the Supreme Court in 2003 and prohibited throughout the country.
Earlier this week, 18 activists of the group were arrested for allegedly recruiting volunteers in Moscow’s mosques and distributing extremist literature. During a search in the suspects’ apartments, police found guns, 10 grenades, and guides to recruiting people and promoting radical Islam.
In addition, the law enforcers seized what was believed to be incomplete counterfeit notes for $1 million and 2 million euro. Russian law enforcers found traces of Hizb ut-Tahrir in Russia back in early 2010, the Internal Ministry’s press service told Interfax. It was discovered that the group’s members were recruiting youths from Russia’s North Caucasus region and Central Asia. The activists were also issuing printing materials urging an overflow of the constitutional power in Russia and the creation of Islamic state caliphate in the country’s European part.
Investigators discovered that that the organization was also preparing a terrorist attack on a Moscow railroad. Terrorists planned to blow up a passenger train on November 4, 2010 – when Russia celebrates the Unity Day.The attack, thwarted by the law enforcers, was meant to become an intimidation action, the ministry’s press service pointed out. Five organizers of the plotted terrorist act were arrested and sentenced by court to jail term. Russia’s Council of Muftis has praised the law enforcers’ efforts in providing security in the country. Muslim organizations, clerics and employees of mosques in Moscow are doing their best “to prevent any illegal actions, particularly those aimed at undermining stability and safety,” the council said in a statement on Friday, as cited by Itar-Tass.Read the full story here.

An Islamic extremist group called Hizb ut-Tahrir that opposes democracy and supports violent jihad, including the killing of U.S. soldiers, is coming to Rolling Meadows, Illinois on June 17. The conference, titled “Revolution: Liberation by Revelation–Muslims Marching Toward Victory” is about how Muslims must help resurrect the Caliphate and institute Sharia-based governance.
The event is to be held at the Meadows Club at 2950 W. Golf Rd from noon to 4:00 PM EST. In 2010, Hizb ut-Tahrir’s annual conference at the Chicago Marriott Oak Brook hotel was canceled after the venue dropped the group’s reservation.Hizb ut-Tahrir (HUT) was founded in 1953 in East Jerusalem when it was under the control of Jordan. It was begun by a former member of the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood named Sheikh Muhammad Taqiuddin al-Nabhani. He also worked with with Haj Amin al-Husseini, a cleric who is most famous for his close alliance with Hitler. HUT came to the U.S. in the early 1990s under a front called “Walnut,” or the Islamic Cultural Workshop. HUT now operates openly in the U.S.
Zeyno Baran, an expert on Islamist groups, calls HUT a “conveyor belt for terrorists.” Multiple members have been radicalized by its preaching, which gives Muslims every reason to become violent, and gone on to commit terrorism. Examples include Abu Musab al-Zarqawi and Khalid Sheikh Mohammed.
What makes the Meadows Club’s hosting of HUT especially outrageous is the fact that HUT is outwardly anti-American and jihadist. The promotional video for the conference features a clip of a protester in the Middle East declaring, “We are here to say that we want to reestablish an Islamic state with Sharia as the “only source of legislation.” This is followed by a clip of an Egyptian cleric preaching, “Oh Muslims! Rise up to aid and support the call for Khilafah [Caliphate] even if it is at the expense of your lives.”
Hizb ut-Tahrir says that it is non-violent, but the reality is more complicated. It does not engage in violent jihad as an organization but that doesn’t mean that it opposes violent jihad by its members on their own accord or by other groups. Its website explains:
“So whenever the disbelieving enemies attack an Islamic country it becomes compulsory on its Muslim citizens to repel the enemy. The Hizb ut-Tahrir in that country are part of the Muslims and it is obligatory upon them.to fight the enemy and repel them. Wherever there is a Muslim amir who declares jihad.the members of Hizb ut-Tahrir will respond in their capacity as Muslims in the country where the general call to arms was proclaimed.”
HUT’s Facebook page links to an article by “Hizb-ut-Tahrir Publications” about jihad.
It opens with Quran 9:29: “Fight those who believe neither in Allah nor the Last Day.until they pay the Jizya [a special tax for non-Muslims] with willing submission and feel themselves subdued.” Non-Islamist Muslims may have a passive interpretation of this passage’s meaning, but Hizb ut-Tahrir’s threatening interpretation is clear.
The author of the article fondly recalls the “days when the Islamic Ummah [the Muslim community] was an ummah of jihad” and how “the Jihad of the Muslims imprinted in the minds of the Europeans the notion that the army of Islam is invincible.” The power of the Muslim world has fallen because Muslims “relinquished jihad.”
The group has called for killing U.S. soldiers specifically. In January 2010, it accused the “U.S. crusaders” of massacring Afghan children and stated that it must “be answered by sharp swords of Muslim united armies under true Muslim leaders.” The invitation to an HUT conference in Denmark in January 2011 mentioned “the duty of armed resistance of the Muslims in Afghanistan and its environs. We consider this resistance as fully legitimate.” HUT has also published materials supporting jihad against U.S. and Coalition forces in Iraq.
After the bombings in London in 2005, a top HUT official was asked to condemn them. His response was that he’d “condemn what happened in London only after there is a promise from Western leaders to condemn what they have done in Falluja and other parts of Iraq and in Afghanistan.” Its Facebook page has promoted an anti-democracy lecture by Anwar al-Awlaki, the Al-Qaeda leader who was killed in a drone strike in Yemen in 2011.
The vilest rhetoric is directed at Israel and Jews as a whole. A HUT document reads, “if the plane belongs to a country at war with Muslims, like Israel, it is allowed to hijack it, for there is no sanctity for Israel or for the Jews in it.” A HUT spokesman in Denmark distributed a leaflet that instructed Muslims to “kill them all [Jews], wherever you find them” and endorsed suicide bombings against Israel as acts of “martyrdom.”
After the Turkish flotilla incident in 2010, HUT’s branch in the U.S. supported violent retaliation. “There is no solution except to mobilize armies, gathering the capable soldiers and fight the Jews.” It criticized Pakistan and Iran for not attacking Israel. “O you possessors of the missiles that you boast can blow ‘Israel’ off the map, so where are you now, O Pakistan and Iran’s rulers?” it asked.
The Pakistani branch of HUT told the country’s military must “prepare nuclear bombs and other weapons for Jihad.fight under this command to annihilate Israel.” The Bangladeshi branch said Muslims must “eradicate Israel and purify the earth of Jewish filth.”
HUT also supports violent jihad against India. In July 2011, the Pakistani HUT believes “The only way Kashmir can be liberated is through organized jihad under a state that mobilizes the armies.” Its journal from December 19995 said “Muslims need swords, not candles” in Iraq and the Palestinian territories. HUT leaders have also been videotaped endorsing jihad in Chechnya and Kashmir.
The group is openly hostile to Western secularism and democracy. It does not even pretend to believe in the system. A speaker during its last conference in the U.S. admitted that HUT would dismiss the Constitution entirely and replace it with Sharia Law. Hizb ut-Tahrir (Arabic: حِزْبُ التَحْرِير‎ Ḥizb at-Taḥrīr; English: Party of Liberation) is an international pan-Islamic political organisation whose goal is for all Muslim countries to unify as an Islamic state or caliphate ruled by Islamic law and with a caliph head of state elected by Muslims

The organization was founded in 1953 in Jerusalem by Taqiuddin al-Nabhani, an Islamic scholar and appeals court judge (Qadi) from the Palestinian village of Ijzim. Since then Hizb ut-Tahrir has spread to more than 40 countries, and by one estimate has about one million members. Hizb ut-Tahrir is very active in the west, particularly in the United Kingdom within Arab and Pakistani communities, and is also active in several Arab and Central Asian countries, despite being banned by some of the local governments.

Hizb ut-Tahrir believes a caliphate would provide stability and security to both Muslims and Non-Muslims in the predominantly Muslim regions of the world. The party promotes a detailed program for institution of a caliphate that would establish Shariah and carry "the Da'wah of Islam" to the world. It believes this political transformation would provide honest leadership, protecting and caring for its citizens, and fighting against the "colonial foreign policies" of the United States and other Western nations that have led to "U.S. interventions, energy inspired wars, puppet (Muslim) governments and western values forced by the barrel of a gun." Hizb ut-Tahrir is also strongly anti-Zionist and calls for Israel, which it calls an "illegal entity," to be dismantled.Their The draft constitution also details an economic system that allows private enterprise, but reserves public ownership of utilities, public transport, health care, energy resources such as oil, and unused farm land (similar to communitarianism). However, it calls for use of the Gold Standard, gold and silver coinage. The draft constitution gives quite specific instructions for the gold and silver weight of the coins, arguing

... it is the duty of the Khilafah State to make its currency in gold and silver and to work on the basis of gold and silver as it was during the time of the Messenger of Allah and his Khulafa'a after him ... to fix the weight of dinars equal to the Shari'ah dinar or 4.25 grams (of Gold) for one dinar ... the dirham has the weight of 2.975 grams (of Silver). The basis of gold and silver as currency is the only way to solve currency related economic problems and the high inflation rates that are common in the world, and to produce currency stability for rates of exchange and progress in international trade. ... Only by taking gold and silver as the standard, can the American control and the control of the dollar as an international currency, be demolished in international trade and world economies.Following the recent LSE embarrassment over their Libya links, the management of the London School of Economics will be further irked by the fact that a member of their teaching staff is not only an active member of Islamist sect Hizb-ut-Tahrir, but that he is appearing alongside characters from the Muslim Brotherhood.
