Turkey Declines Hagel Coalition Offer Against ISIS.

Turkey Declines Hagel Coalition Offer Against ISIS.(Aydinlikdaily).

The Turkish Chief of Defense has declined the proposal of his American counterpart Chuck Hagel to form a coalition under the leadership of Turkey against the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIS).

US Defence Minister Chuck Hagel paid a visit to his Turkish counterpart Necdet Özel in Ankara, Turkey, and following the NATO Summit Wales last week, Hagel is now trying to convince the Turkish Armed Forces into a coalition against the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant.

Hagel discussed the issue of forming a coalition among the counties in the Middle East region that was first introduced by Obama at the NATO Summit in Wales last week. Hagel proposed to Özel that Turkey should be at the center of this coalition, however Özel reportedly stated that the Turkish Armed Forces do not lean towards this plan against ISIS. In return, Özel proposed Hagel to increase the security measures along the Syrian border and provide intelligence.

An anonymous American senior official in Defense Ministry has reportedly told New York Times that Turkey is indispensable for the USA both geographically and militarily.Hmmmm.....Surprised? Not at all.....'State sponsor of terrorism' More on the Turkish sometimes  NATO 'ally' here.
