'Sometimes NATO Ally' - Erdogan allegedly planning Turkish military 'adventure' in Syria.

'Sometimes NATO Ally' - Erdogan allegedly planning Turkish military intervention in Syria. (bgnnews).

Online government whistleblower Fuat Avni has claimed that the Justice and Development Party (AK Party) leadership, acting on the authority of the president, has unofficially begun planning Turkish military intervention in Syria as part of its scheme to engender chaos and win back parliament.

Losing its parliamentary majority in the June 7th general elections has not slowed down Turkey’s ruling Justice and Development Party (AK Party) from running the show, at least according to government whistleblower and Twitter phenomenon Fuat Avni .

The AK Party brain trust allegedly concocted a new strategy to stoke chaos at the National Security Meeting held at the Prime Ministry on June 11th, hoping that the instability will turn the public off a coalition government and bring the AK Party back into power.

In a series of tweets released Tuesday afternoon, Fuat Avni claims that former Interior Minister Efkan Ala and current Foreign Ministry Undersecretary Feridun Sinirlioğlu, acting on unofficial authority granted them by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, are determined to send Turkey to war in Syria.
Worried that he might be held accountable for the arms he supplied the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) and the petroleum he traded with them, Erdoğan is looking for a way out. Despite protestations by the Turkish Armed Forces, Undersecretary Sinirlioğlu and National Intelligence Chief Hakan Fidan are pushing for missile and artillery strikes against ISIL, thus justifying the entry of ground forces.
Thus two birds will be killed with one stone says Avni, not only giving the government plausible deniability with regards to allegations that they had been arming ISIL but also allowing Turkey to enter Syria like it has always wanted. “They are going to plunge Turkey into a quagmire in Syria,” wrote Avni, “While they’ll technically be fighting ISIL, they will have actually attacked Syrian soil.
Avni adds that despite there being no parliamentary authorization for such a military intervention, the order has already been sent to the Turkish Armed Forces
However he adds that the military has been resisting such a move for months, but now more than ever knowing full well that if they go to war on the orders of an illegitimate government they will be the ones held accountable for it. Hmmmm........
