Iran has unveiled its indigenous smart missile guidance system for ballistic missiles, which possesses high precision of hitting targets, Iranian IRIB news agency reported on Feb. 24.

The new system supplies point targeting ability in the sea and ground for Iran's new missile systems.
Ability to overcome the anti-missile systems as well as pinpoint accuracy are outstanding features of the new system.

Iran also has unveiled smart composite armor (liquid armor) which can be used in military vehicles.The armor is based on technology of liquid armor and is made from unique fibbers. It can resist steel core anti-armor bullets. It also increases mobility of the armed forces, by reducing the weight of some armor (like Kevlar vest), making its weight by 76 percent.

Liquid Armor is a material that is liquid under low or normal pressure and solid under high pressure. This liquid is made with polyethylene glycol and the solid part is made of nano-particles of silica. This liquid is soaked into all the layers of a Kevlar vest.

In Dec. 2013, Iranian defense minister, brigadier general Hossein Dehqan said that the country's military experts have enhanced the precision of domestically-designed and manufactured long-range and ballistic missiles to the level that the projectiles can strike targets with pinpoint accuracy.

On November 11, 2013, deputy commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Brigadier General Hossein Salami said Iranian missiles enjoy high precision against point targets, and they are capable of targeting moving vessels in the sea.

On Feb. 9, Iran test-fired two ballistic missiles, naming it as a response to the U.S. officials' statements that the military option against Iran is still on the table.

Poliitico - Sen. Lindsey Graham continued to criticize the White House on Tuesday on its appeal to ease sanctions against Iran.

“[President Barack] Obama’s been able to bring the Israelis and Arabs together unlike anybody in history,” Graham said on Fox News’s “Fox & Friends” referring to the criticism in the region over easing sanctions. “A bad deal will lead to war and a bad deal is allowing the Iranians the capability to produce a nuclear weapon.”

Graham (R-S.C.), who has been critical of the administration’s strategy over Iran’s nuclear program, compared the situation to North Korea.
“If you back off the sanctions, which the president wants us to do, if you infuse this regime with $10 billion, and you don’t dismantle their capabilities to produce a weapon, the international community is going to say, ‘A ha, sanctions are behind us’ and they’re going to race to do business with Iran and that’s exactly what happened in North Korea,” Graham said.
The White House said Monday that Obama will host key senators Tuesday to update them on the status of talks with Iran.Hmmm.....I'm pretty sure 'they' will warn Iran of an impending attack.

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif released a video on You Tube on Nov. 19 speaking of a way forward for relations between Iran and the rest of the world, and calling for an end to "an unnecessary crisis".

He has released the video one day before the new round of nuclear talks between Iran and the five United Nations members with veto powers plus Germany, known as P5+1, which is scheduled to be held in Geneva on November 20 and 30.
The last round of nuclear talks between Iran and P5+1 ended on November 10 without any progress.
Zarif underlined during his video message that no power however strong can determine the fate of other nations, adding all should recognize that "we can either win together or lose together."

Commenting on the last presidential election in Iran Zarif said that "past summer our people choice constructive engagement through the ballot box and through this they gave the world a historical opportunity to change the course".

"To sees this unique opportunity we need to accept equal footing and choose a path based on mutual respect, and recognition of the dignity of the all peoples", he added.
Zarif also went on to say that "For us, the Iranian nuclear energy is not about joining a club or threatening others. It is a self made motion towards our destiny, rather than one prescribed to us."
The Iranian FM also underlined that "for us, nuclear energy is about securing the future of our children and diversifying our economy, as well as generating clean power and stopping our oil from being wasted."
He added that honest talk and real confidence is all dependent on equal footing, mutual respect and common interest, but more so on dignity for all.
"We promise this to our people and to the world and we always keep our promises," Zarif said adding that "the Iranian people are determined to explore this path. Join us in ending an unnecessary crisis and opening new horizons."
The U.S. and its Western allies suspect Iran of developing a nuclear weapon - something that Iran denies. DUBAI - Iranian parliamentarians gathered signatures on Tuesday to demand that the government carry on enriching uranium to levels of 20 percent, a move that could complicate nuclear talks between Iran and world powers in Geneva this week.

Iran is to meet six world powers on Wednesday for a new round of negotiations after the two sides came close to agreeing an interim deal during talks earlier this month.
Iranian President Hassan Rouhani has repeatedly said Iran will never give up its right to enrich uranium for peaceful purposes, a message Iran's parliament, dominated by conservatives, appears to want to hold him to.
"On the eve of the Geneva talks, we plan to approve such a proposal in parliament. Based on that the government is obliged to protect the nuclear rights of Iran in the forthcoming negotiations," Mehr news agency quoted member of parliament Fatemeh Alia as saying.
Another MP, Mehdi Mousavinejad, said the measure would require the government to maintain enrichment of uranium to 20 percent, complete the nuclear fuel cycle and finish construction of the Arak heavy water reactor.
While it has limited powers in the Islamic Republic's complex political system, parliament would likely vote on any nuclear deal. However, it would be very unlikely to go against the wishes of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
Rouhani's approach to the talks, which he says is the best way to get sanctions hobbling Iran's oil-based economy lifted, has Khamenei's backing. Rouhani succeeded hardliner Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in August.

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu kept up his unrelenting lobbying against any interim deal with Iran when nuclear talks resume in Geneva this week, saying that Iran already has five bombs worth of lower enriched uranium.

Netanyahu's comments came during an interview with Germany's Bild newspaper, published on Tuesday.  Government officials explained that this amount of uranium enriched at a lower level means that it would take relatively little effort – a matter of weeks – for the Islamic Republic to turn it into higher-grade uranium that would make up the fissile material needed for five nuclear bombs.
US Undersecretary of State for Political Affairs Wendy Sherman is scheduled to fly to Geneva on Tuesday, where she will lead the American delegation in negotiations with Iran, as well as in separate talks in Geneva concerning Syria's civil war.
In the Bild interview, Netanyahu said the agreement being discussed was indeed "bad" because it did not obligate the Iranians to dismantle any of its capacity to make fissile material for nuclear weapons.
"And if Iran won't dismantle their centrifuges and their plutonium reactor now with all the pressure, when you reduce the [sanctions] pressure, you think you will get a better deal tomorrow? This is a mistake, a terrible mistake, a historic error," he said.

Netanyahu said that rather than giving Iran sanctions relief – something he said will give Iran "billions of dollars" – the international community should ratchet up the sanctions.

"And just at a decisive moment when you can actually get Iran to back off – look who's backing off... The P5+1 would make a terrible mistake by reducing sanctions," he said.
Strengthening the sanctions, he added, may lead to "a better deal."
Regarding the public dispute with US Secretary of State John Kerry over Washington's Iranian policy, Netanyahu said that even among friends there will be disagreements.
 "We agree on a lot of things, and on this point we disagree," he said. "I have to think about the survival of my country and the survival of my people and we are not going to let Ayatollahs with nuclear weapons threaten that."

Intelligence Minister Yuval Steinitz : "We won't join the world that is willing to cheat itself because of its desire to reach a quick agreement. Iran is not Japan. If Iran becomes a nuclear breakout state, it will produce the bomb," 

Asked how – "considering the Iranian threat" – he wanted to be viewed by history, Netanyahu replied, "As someone who did everything on his watch to protect the Jewish people and the Jewish state so that the horrors of the past are not repeated."

On a mission in the U.S. to represent Israel’s position on the ongoing nuclear talks between Iran and world powers, the Jewish state’s Economy Minister Naftali Bennett was blunt and to the point, speaking before a crowd at Manhattan’s 92nd Street Y Sunday.

“It is the most fateful days since the Yom Kippur War in Israel,” he said, referring to the time since the founding of modern Israel that the country was most in peril.

“If a decade from now God forbid a nuclear suitcase blows up in an American city, we will be able to trace it back to these days, where a bad deal was signed,” he warned, reiterating his country’s very public insistence that world powers, now negotiating with Tehran over the country’s nuclear program, don’t ease up on sanctions unless Iran agrees to give up its nuclear infrastructure.

“If a nuclear missile hits Rome or Paris or Madrid or Tel Aviv five years from now, it will be because of these days,” he continued, explaining, “Because if Iran does acquire a nuclear weapon, the entire region is telling us right now, they are being very upfront, we want one too. Saudi Arabia, Syria, Libya, Yemen, the Emirates, the Middle East is going to be a hell, it is going to be a nuclear nightmare with all these rouge maniacal regimes with bombs.”

“Now is the time to prevent all this,” he cautioned. “We are giving it (diplomacy) our best shot, but I will be clear, whatever happens, in any event, Israel has the ability to defend itself and Israel will defend itself,” Bennett pledged. The crowd in the half full auditorium responded with enthusiastic applause.

Addressing Israel’s ongoing peace talks with the Palestinian Authority, Bennett was equally forthright. “Indeed Prime Minister Netanyahu is very focused on moving forward towards founding a Palestinian State in the land of Israel, and I vehemently oppose it,” he said.

Spokesman of Iran's Atomic Energy Organization, Behrouz Kamalvandi has dismissed any "decline or shutdown" in Iran's nuclear activities, ISNA news agency reported on Nov. 18.

He went on to note that Iran's nuclear facilities have not decreased activity.
Activity cannot be judged by only a few months of investigations, Kamalvandi added.
On November 14, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) released its quarterly report on Iran's nuclear program.
According to the report, Iran has stopped expanding its uranium enrichment capacity since Hassan Rouhani became president.
The IAEA also said that since August, no further major components had been added to a potential plutonium-producing reactor that worries the United States and its allies, Reuters reported on Nov. 14.

The previous IAEA report, issued in August, showed Iran rapidly adding to its enrichment capacity by installing 1,861 IR-1 centrifuges - machines used to refine uranium - at its Natanz plant since May to reach a total of 15,416.

The last round of nuclear talks between Iran and the five United Nations veto powers plus Germany, which is known as P5+1, ended on Nov. 10 without any result.
The next round of the nuclear talks between Iran and P5+1 is scheduled to be held in Geneva on Nov. 20 and Nov. 30.

The Paris-based NCRI said members of its affiliated People’s Mujahideen Organisation of Iran (PMOI) inside the country had obtained reliable information on a new and covert site designated for Iran’s nuclear project. 

But it had no details of what kind of nuclear activity was being carried out there, Reuters reported.
“According to specific information obtained by the Iranian resistance, the clerical regime is establishing or completing parallel secret and undeclared sites for its nuclear project,” NCRI official Mehdi Abrichamtchi told reporters.
The NCRI said the new site was inside a 600-metre tunnel complex beneath mountains 10 km (6 miles) from the town of Mobarekeh, adjacent to the Isfahan-Shiraz highway, within the existing Haft-e Tir military industrial complex.
Abrichamtchi said work on the site began in 2005 and the construction of tunnels ended in early 2009. Work on the facilities was recently completed, he said.
Abrichamtchi said Iran’s Organisation of Defensive Innovation and Research handled Iran’s sensitive nuclear activity and also managed the new facility. The site had extra security compared to the rest of the military complex, he said.
Abrichamtchi said the information had been sent to the International Atomic Energy Agency, the U.N. nuclear watchdog. The IAEA had no immediate comment on the report.

The Geneva negotiations between the so-called P5+1 powers and Iran are a mere “facade,” because the terms of a deal on Iran’s nuclear program have been negotiated in talks between a top adviser to President Barack Obama and a leading Iranian nuclear official that have continued in secret for more than a year, Israeli television reported Sunday. 

Despite ostensible full coordination between the US and Israel over strategies for thwarting Iran’s nuclear weapons drive, the administration did not keep Israel fully informed on those talks, Channel 10 news reported, but Jerusalem nonetheless has a pretty clear picture of what has been going on in the secret channel. White House spokesman Bernadette Meehan was quoted by Haaretz as saying that the report was “absolutely, 100 percent false.”

Feltman sure looks 'uncomfortable'

The report, which relied on unnamed senior Israeli officials, said the US team to the secret talks was led by Obama adviser Valerie Jarrett. Her primary interlocutor, the report said, was the head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, Ali Akbar Salehi. The talks have been taking place in various Gulf states.

In the course of the talks, the report said, the Americans offered the Iranians a series of “confidence-building measures,” which underlined American readiness to conclude a deal and undercut sanctions pressure.

It was the deal discussed in these secret talks, the report said, that the Americans then brought to Geneva earlier this month, where it was largely adopted by the P5+1 nations — the US, Britain, France, Russia, China, plus Germany.

France has indicated that it raised objections to the proposed terms, while US Secretary of State John Kerry said the deal was so “tough” that the Iranians had to return to Tehran to take a decision on whether to sign it. The Geneva talks are set to resume on Wednesday.

Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has publicly fumed at the terms that were offered to Iran at Geneva, including an easing of non-core sanctions under an arrangements whereby Iran would still be permitted to enrich uranium to 3.5%. Netanyahu wants all sanctions retained, and all enrichment to be frozen, as a first step toward the dismantling of Iran’s entire “military nuclear” program.

According to Channel 10, the secret channel marginalized Kerry, and was overseen by the president. 

The idea had been for Kerry merely to fly to Geneva, as he did last Friday, to sign a deal in which he had been a bit player. In the event, factors such as the French stance, and Israel’s very public objections, derailed this plan, and the talks broke up last Saturday without an agreement.

Nevertheless, the expectation in Jerusalem is that a deal is on the way in the near future. Kerry, with whom Netanyahu has been engaged in a public sniping match in recent days, is due back in Israel at the end of this week, after the Geneva talks resume.

Sunday’s Channel 10 report was not the first to assert a secret US-Iran channel involving Obama aide Jarrett. 

In November of 2012, the daily Yedioth Ahronoth said Jarrett — a Chicago lawyer born in Shiraz, Iran, to American parents, and good friend of Obama’s — was “a key figure in secret contacts the White House is conducting with the Iranian regime.”

A Senior Iranian lawmaker said Iran will leave the negotiating table if the US Congress approves additional sanctions against Tehran.

Nuclear talks“The US Congress has recently been seeking to approve a bill to increase sanctions against Iran. It has been decided that the negotiations be suspended if the bill gets through the US Congress,” said Mohammad Hassan Asafari who sits on the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee of Majlis.

The Iranian lawmaker made the remarks after a meeting in which Iran’s nuclear negotiating team briefed the parliamentary committee on two rounds of nuclear talks with the five permanent members of the UN Security Council – Britain, China, France, Russia and the US – plus Germany.

The US Senate Banking Committee is mulling over whether to move ahead with a new anti-Iran sanctions bill it had delayed before the latest round of talks between Iran and the group of six world powers which was held in the Swiss city of Geneva on November 7-10.

The House bill seeks to cut Iran’s oil exports by one million barrels a day for the next year and includes threats of military force against Iran. The White House, however, is resisting growing pressure from Congress over Iran sanctions, trying to convince US lawmakers not to impose what they call further “punitive” measures.

“Our hope is now that no new sanctions would be put in place for the simple reason that if they are, it could be viewed as bad faith by the people we’re negotiating with, [and] it could destroy the ability to be able to get agreement,” US Secretary of State John Kerry said before a closed-door briefing with the Senate Banking Committee on November 13.

During Sunday meeting, Iran’s negotiating team also briefed the country’s lawmakers on the agenda of the forthcoming round of negotiations slated to be held on November 20 in Geneva.


“The negotiating team and the members of the Majlis National Security [and Foreign Policy] Committee reiterated in the meeting that the suspension of enrichment as well as the closure of the Fordow facility and the Arak heavy water [reactor] or any other [nuclear] sites is not on our agenda,” Asafari noted.Hmmm....'Bad Faith'???How about the just revealed Hidden Nuke facility??

PARIS - An exiled Iranian opposition group said on Monday it had information about an underground nuclear site being built in Iran and that this was among a number of secret venues for an atomic bomb program. 

The National Council of Resistance of Iran exposed Iran's uranium enrichment plant at Natanz and a heavy-water facility at Arak in 2002. But analysts say the NCRI has a mixed track record and a clear agenda of regime change in Tehran.

The Islamic Republic and six world powers will resume negotiations on Wednesday aimed at agreeing the first stage towards a comprehensive deal to end a decade-long standoff with Tehran defusing fears that it could develop nuclear weapons.

Iranian authorities deny any such intention, saying their nuclear program is for peaceful energy only. A diplomatic window to a peaceful solution of the dispute was opened by the election in June of moderate Hassan Rouhani as president.
