Corroborating what Judicial Watch uncovered years ago, a U.S. military intelligence report discloses that Muslim terrorists are being smuggled into the country through Mexico. The government calls them Special Interest Aliens (SIA) and Latin American smuggling networks are helping them cross the border, according to information obtained from a U.S. Southern Command (SOUTHCOM) Intelligence dispatch.

Located in Miami, Florida SOUTHCOM is one of nine unified combat commands in the Department of Defense (DOD). It’s responsible for providing contingency planning operations and security cooperation in Central and South America as well as the Caribbean. The internal assessment on SIA smuggling has not been made public, but a conservative Washington D.C. online newspaper obtained key points from the command’s J-2 intelligence directorate.

A SOUTHCOM Army colonel told the paper that in 2015 more than 30,000 migrants who entered the U.S. through the southwestern border were from countries of “terrorist concern.”

The new SOUTHCOM report specifically mentions Sunni extremists, the news article states.

“Networks that specialize in smuggling individuals from regions of terrorist concern, mainly from the Afghanistan-Pakistan region, the Middle East, and East Africa, are indeed a concern for SOUTHCOM and other interagency security partners who support our country’s national security,” a SOUTHCOM Army Colonel, Lisa A. A year after freeing tens of thousands of illegal immigrants convicted of serious crimes, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is distorting annual deportation figures by falsely claiming the number of criminal aliens removed from the U.S. keeps increasing when in fact it’s shrinking drastically.

In fiscal year 2015 deportation figures released this week, DHS celebrates that its enforcement efforts prioritize criminals and threats to public safety as well as national security. The agency created after 9/11 to keep the country safe claims the latest stats show “the number of convicted criminals removed from the interior continued to increase.”

The reality is that deportations of criminal aliens declined 27% from last year—from 86,923 in 2014 to 63,127 in 2015. This serious discrepancy was exposed by the Washington D.C.-based Center for Immigration Studies (CIS), which further reveals that the number of criminal deportations in fiscal year 2015 is less than half of what it was in 2011.

Immigration enforcement remains in a state of collapse, according to the official statistics released by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) today.

• Total deportations by ICE (including both border and interior cases) declined 25% from last year, from 315,943 in 2014 to 235,413 in 2015.
• Interior deportations by ICE declined 31% from last year, from 100,114 in 2014 to 69,478 in 2015.
• Most concerning, deportations of criminal aliens from the interior declined 27% from last year, from 86,923 in 2014 to 63,127 in 2015.

The number of interior deportations is now less than one-third of what it was in 2011, before the Obama administration implemented policy changes that greatly restricted the types of cases that ICE officers and agents could pursue for deportation. The number of criminal alien deportations from the interior is less than half of what it was in 2011.




ICE Director Sarah Saldana said that she was "proud of the numbers" when she testified at a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on December 2, 2015.

In a press release announcing the numbers today, DHS falsely says "the number of convicted criminals removed from the interior continued to increase." In fact, only the share of deportations that are of criminals has increased – the actual number has fallen, as noted above. Read the full story here.

The figures of the asylum seekers killed in attempts to cross the Mediterranean are shocking, but when the EU foreign policy chief was asked on Thursday about the picture of “that” three-year-old boy, Federica Mogherini said that despite the hype over the human tragedy politicians cannot afford to act emotionally.

“I am a little bit fed up that politicians are called to react emotionally,” Mogherini said.

“Our job, as I said, is to take decisions rationally, being consistent and coherent with our emotions. So I think, I'm sure, all of us are shocked seeing that kind of picture but I expect not only for us to be shocked but also for all of us to be responsible enough to take the consequential decisions that are needed.”

However emotions spilled when Hungarian PM Viktor Orban said the current refugee crisis was not an EU problem, but rather "a German problem," as he put it after a meeting with European Parliament President Martin Schulz in Brussels on Thursday. According to Orban, none of the migrants want to “stay in Hungary,” as “all of them want to go to Germany.” (See Vid below).

Meanwhile a member of the Alternative for Germany party, Hansjoerg Mueller, told RT that the media and some politicians are using terrible human tragedies and horrifying pictures to play on people’s emotions.

“Original European or German citizens are told by politicians, by mass media ‘you shall open the German doors even more, because if you don’t, you will be guilty of drowning of many more refugees’,” Mueller said. “So human emotions are misused by politics in a very horrible manner.”

“It’s a tragedy what happened to the boy, it’s a tragedy what happens to thousands of refugees who drowned,” he added. “But these human tragedies are misused by western mass media to oppress the feelings of original European citizens who want to preserve their traditions, who want to preserve their cultures, by using this image of the poor boy.”

According to official figures from the UN refugee agency, UNHCR, over 2,500 refugees and migrants are estimated to have died or gone missing, trying to reach Europe this year so far. Meanwhile, last year some 3,500 people died or were reported missing in the Mediterranean Sea.

“Despite the concerted efforts of the joint European search and rescue operation under FRONTEX, which has saved tens of thousands of lives this year, the Mediterranean Sea continues to be the deadliest route for refugees and migrants,” the agency said in a statement.

According to the UN more than 300,000 people have taken the risky route across the Mediterranean this year, with almost 200,000 arriving in Greece and some 110,000 in Italy, compared to around 219,000 refugees and migrants who crossed the sea during the whole of 2014.Read the full story here.

Syrian citizens are legally entitled to refugee status in any European country because of the civil war in their country.

Those using fake passports, Leggeri said, are mainly from North Africa or the Middle East, migrating for economic reasons. But he admitted that authorities do not have a complete picture of those migrating to Europe.

"We have an idea of nationalities but we don't have full profiles," Leggeri said.

Asked by the radio host whether terrorists could be reaching Europe, Leggeri said "it is not impossible but we are extremely vigilant."

Overall, the number of illegal crossings at European borders since January has gone up 175 percent, according to Frontex, reaching an estimate number of 340,000 individuals arriving in the European Union. The number only reflects people who are being registered, Leggeri said, adding that not all migrants are being registered because of the volume.

About 88,200 of those making their way to the E.U. are Syrians, according to the latest International Organization for Migration figures, which is more than the next four countries of origin put together. Read the full story here.

The 26 states that sued President Obama over his unilateral amnesty plan for illegal aliens won a major battle on Monday when a federal judge issued a temporary injunction against the plan’s implementation. In a fitting bit of irony, the order was issued on President’s Day, a day when we remember the great men who fulfilled their duties as heads of the second branch of government.

In his order, Judge Andrew Hanen enjoined Jeh Johnson, secretary of the Department of Homeland Security, from implementing “any and all aspects or phases of the Deferred Action for Parents of Americans and Lawful Permanent Residents ‘DAPA’) program as set out” by Johnson in his Nov. 20, 2014 memorandum that executed the president’s announced plan. In other words, the Obama administration can no longer implement the executive actions Obama took on immigration.

Hanen’s lengthy opinion provides an extensive, well-researched, well-written review of the history of the Obama administration’s actions in the immigration area and points out the many problems caused by its lack of enforcement and overriding of federal immigration law.

Hanen agrees that Homeland Security does have discretion “in the manner in which it chooses to fulfill the expressed will of Congress” in federal immigration law.

But it cannot “enact a program whereby it not only ignores the dictates of Congress, but actively acts to thwart them.” In fact, the Homeland Security secretary “is not just rewriting the laws; he is creating them from scratch.”

The states don’t disagree that the federal government has exclusive jurisdiction over immigration, but they argue “that the Government has abandoned its duty to enforce the law.” Hanen concludes that “this assertion cannot be disputed.” Read the full story here.

A GREEK cargo ship thought to be carrying 700 migrants - including Kurds and Syrians - has docked in the Italian port of Gallipoli after it was abandoned by its crew.

The Blue Sky M was headed to the Italian coast on autopilot when it was apparently abandoned by its crew in Greek waters off the coast of Corfu.

Italian officials took control of the the vessel when it was spotted yesterday after authorities received a distress call about a potential incident on board.

Today, the Italian Red Cross posted images showing the ship docking in Italy, while ambulance crews were pictured waiting following reports some passengers were suffering frostbite.

Four migrants - thought to be Kurds and Syrians – had been found dead on the cargo ship, the Red Cross confirmed.

A spokeswoman for the charity, Mimma Antonagi, said the exact number of people on board is still not known - but the estimated number of 600 to 700 passengers is said to have risen. Read the full story here.

A group of Senate conservatives vowed to “use all procedural means necessary” to fight back against President Obama’s use of executive action to grant amnesty to illegal immigrants.

Despite yesterday’s electoral losses, Obama is reportedly moving forward with an immigration plan before the end of the year. In a letter today to outgoing Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., the six senators expressed their concern over Obama’s vow to take executive action.

According to the letter, such action would “lawlessly grant amnesty to immigrants who have entered the country illegally.”

“This will create a constitutional crisis that demands action by Congress to restore the separation of powers,” wrote Sens. Ted Cruz, R-Texas; Mike Crapo, R-Idaho; Mike Lee, R-Utah; Pat Roberts, R-Kan.; Jeff Sessions, R-Ala.; and David Vitter, R-La.

According to The Washington Post, while the president was speaking at the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute Gala last month, he said:

“But if anybody wants to know where my heart is or whether I want to have this fight, let me put those questions to rest right now. I am not going to give up this fight until it gets done. … I want to make something clear: Fixing our broken immigration system is one more, big thing that we have to do and that we will do.”

The Washington Post went on to write that the president “laid blame squarely at the feet of congressional Republicans” for failing to pass immigration reform.

We write to express our alarm with President Obama’s announced intention to take unilateral executive action by the end of this year to lawlessly grant amnesty to immigrants who have entered the country illegally.  The Supreme Court has recognized that “over no conceivable subject is the power of Congress more complete” than its power over immigration.  Therefore, President Obama will be exercising powers properly belonging to Congress if he makes good on his threat.  This will create a constitutional crisis that demands action by Congress to restore the separation of powers.
As majority leader of the Senate, you have the responsibility of not only representing the citizens of your State, but also of protecting the Constitution through vigilant exercise of the checks and balances provided under the Constitution.   

Therefore, we write to offer our full assistance in ensuring expeditious Senate debate and passage for a measure that preserves the power of Congress by blocking any action the President may take to violate the Constitution and unilaterally grant amnesty; however, should you decline to defend the Senate and the Constitution from executive overreach, the undersigned Senators will use all procedural means necessary to return the Senate’s focus during the lame duck session to resolving the constitutional crisis created by President Obama’s lawless amnesty.

The family and friends of a 21-month-old Michigan girl who has died from enterovirus D68 have paid tribute to their 'sweet baby angel'.

Madeline Reid, from Clinton Township, was put on life support on September 14 after contracting the deadly virus, which has flu-like symptoms and continues to sweep the country.

But following a long battle during which she was left paralyzed, she died in her parents' arms at around 3pm yesterday, according to a Facebook tribute page.

It means she is the second child to have died directly as a result of enterovirus D68 this year following the death of four-year-old Eli Waller, from Hamilton, New Jersey, on September 25.

In a statement, Dr Rudolph Valentini, chief medical officer at Children's Hospital of Michigan in Detroit, confirmed Madeline's death, which is the first reported fatality from the virus in Michigan.

'It is never easy to lose a child, and our entire health care team at the Children's Hospital of Michigan is deeply saddened by this family's loss and mourns with them during this very difficult time,' he said.
