Video - PA TV teaches children all Israel is "Palestine"

PA TV teaches children all Israel is "Palestine".HT: PalWatch.by Itamar Marcus and Nan Jacques Zilberdik
Palestinian children sing: Tiberias, Acre, Haifa, and Jaffa are in "my country Palestine" - on PA TV children's program.
The official Palestinian Authority TV program for children, The Best Home, broadcast the song "Oh flying bird," which misrepresents cities and sites in Israel as "Palestine." The "Band of Palestine" accompanied several children singing the song:

"My country Palestine is beautiful. Turn to Safed, and then to Tiberias, and send regards to the sea of Acre and Haifa. Don't forget Nazareth - the Arab fortress, and tell Beit Shean about its people's return. My country Palestine is beautiful."

This song has been given prominence on official PA TV. Palestinian Media Watch has documented that at least eight different versions of this song have been broadcast, some of them repeatedly, on PA TV.

The different versions of this song misrepresent the following places in Israel as "Palestine": Jaffa, Ramle, Safed, Tiberias, Acre, Haifa, Nazareth, Beit Shean, and Be'er Sheva, and mention the following places in the PA: Jenin, Nablus, Tulkarem, Ramallah, Bethlehem, Hebron, Jericho, and Gaza.Click to view

President Peres vouches for Abbas in meeting with US Senators.

President Peres vouches for Abbas in meeting with US Senators. (IMRA).
"I have known President Abbas for many years and I believe he really wants peace"

[Dr. Aaron Lerner - IMRA: Once again President Shimon Peres opts to promote the Palestinians in meetings with foreigners.

Considering that we faced the possibility that Moslem Brotherhood's take over of Egypt would be permanent Mr. Peres would be well advised to reconsider citing the treaty with Egypt as proof of anything.]

President Peres Meets with US Senators John McCain, Lindsey Graham and John Barrasso

President Shimon Peres, this evening (Saturday, 4 January 2014), at his Jerusalem residence, held a working meeting with US Senators John McCain (R-AZ), Lindsey Graham (R-SC) and John Barrasso (R-WY). The Republican senators, who arrived from Afghanistan, are visiting as part of a wider tour of the region.

President Peres began the meeting by thanking the senators for coming and said, "It's a time of decisions, all decisions are tough but not to make a decision is a mistake. Secretary Kerry in investing significant time and effort and I believe that peace is possible despite the difficulties. Before peace with Egypt people said it's impossible. With the Palestinians it's complicated for them and for us. I have known President Abbas for many years and I believe he really wants peace. There has been some progress but the major decisions are before us and we have to do what we can. It's a changing world, a changing Middle East."

President Peres and the senators also discussed the Iranian nuclear threat and President Peres said, "Terror is the greatest danger for the Arab world. There is almost no coherent Arab country left because of terror. Russia is also undergoing this awful experience. As well as what we have put before the Iranians we have to put two more issues - one is the development of long range missiles capable of carrying nuclear warheads, they don't need nuclear missiles if they don't want nuclear weapons. The second thing is stopping Iranian intervention in terror across the world; they are engaged, unfortunately, everywhere.

Senator John McCain thanked President Peres and said, "We've had good meetings with the Prime Minister, with President Abbas, with Secretary Kerry and we have room for guarded optimism. It's a very difficult process but we appreciate Secretary Kerry's great efforts and we also see a willingness that hasn't necessarily always been there in the past. On Iran, we share your comments and we also continue to be worried about Syria."

Former US presidents to honor Peres.

Former US presidents to honor Peres.(Ynet).WASHINGTON – Former US presidents, state secretaries and a long line of Hollywood stars and business tycoons will take part in a special event to be hosted by President Barack Obama in honor of Shimon Peres. The White House is set to host a grandiose dinner on June 13 during which Obama will award Peres with the Medal of Freedom.
The White House has invited former presidents Jimmy Carter, George Bush Senior, George W. Bush, Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger. The dinner will take place at the State Dining Room which can hold up to 120 people. The dinner will also be attended by Vice President Joe Biden, Defense Secretary Leon Panetta, House of Representatives Speaker John Boehner, Israel's Ambassador to the US Michael Oren and US Ambassador to Israel Dan Shapira. The White House has decided not to invite any Jewish leaders so as not to offend anyone who was not invited.
It is still considering which Jewish congressmen to invite.(Helloooo the Democrats). The task at hand has reportedly caused organizers many sleepless nights.Among the celebrities set to participate in the event are singer Barbra Streisand, filmmaker Steven Spielberg and Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg. Obama wishes to pay special tribute to Peres and that is why he has decided to separate this event from the one which honored this year's other 12 Medal of Freedom recipients which was held earlier this week.Hmmmm.....Anything for the Jewish vote and their money. As one commentator pointed out:" When did streisand become Jewish? She did not want to come her to sing on Israel's 60th Independence Day. Notice how most of them are dems? This is how b.o. tries to win the Jewish vote."Read the full story here.

Peres to Obama: Release Israeli spy Jonathan Pollard.

Peres to Obama: Release Israeli spy Jonathan Pollard.(Haaretz).President Shimon Peres sent a personal letter to U.S. President Barak Obama on Monday, urging Obama to consider granting clemency to Jonathan Pollard, citing the convicted spy's deteriorating health. Officials at Peres' bureau indicated that the president's diplomatic adviser handed the missive to U.S. envoy in Israel Dan Shapiro, with U.S. officials confirming that Obama received the letter in the afternoon. In a statement released by Peres, the president thanked Obama for what he said was the friendliness his administration has shown Israel, citing the Passover seder the American president held last week at the White House, and reiterating the importance of the value of freedom to the Jewish holiday. Peres updated his U.S. counterpart on a conversation he conducted a few days ago with Esther Pollard, the convicted spy's wife, stressing that the Pollard family, as well as the Jewish people, were concerned about Pollard's health. The president sent the missive after receiving a petition signed by 80 MKs, urging Obama to release the Jewish spy, as well as intense pressure from the lobby working to secure Pollard's release ahead of Peres' White House visit planned for June. During that meeting, Peres is expected to receive the Presidential Medal of Freedom, which, the Pollard lobby argues, the president should refuse until the convicted spy is released. Peres' missive comes over a year after Netanyahu send a similar plea to the American president in January 2011, a letter which represented the first time Israel officially requested the spy's release. Netanyahu since raised the Pollard during his several meetings with Obama, although he did not always receive a U.S. response. Israeli officials estimated that, as with Netanyahu's attempts, Peres' missive serves, for the most part, as a declarative measure, one which won't likely draw out any U.S. reply and that won't advance Pollard's release. Hmmmm......If Obama thinks that releasing Pollard might give him a serious gain of Jewish votes he will.Read the full story here.
