EGYPT - Controversy on the Joint Declaration of Pope Francis and Pope Tawadros.

EGYPT - Controversy on the Joint Declaration of Pope Francis and Pope Tawadros. (FIDES).

Cairo (Agenzia Fides) - The Joint Declaration signed on Friday 28 April in Cairo by Pope Francis and Catholic Orthodox Patriarch Tawadros is causing various kinds of reactions within the Orthodox Coptic Church.

In paragraph n. 11 of the text signed last Friday, on the occasion of the visit of the Bishop of Rome to Egypt, the Pope and the Patriarch stated that they:
"will seek sincerely not to repeat the baptism that has been administered in either of our Churches for any person who wishes to join the other, in obedience to the Holy Scriptures and the faith of the three Ecumenical Councils assembled in Nicaea, Constantinople and Ephesus".
This passage, signed by Pope Tawadros on behalf of the Holy Synod of the Orthodox Coptic Church, expresses the concrete intention of overcoming the practice of so-called "re-baptism", still administered today by some Christian communities to new faithful coming from other ecclesial confessions.
After the release of the Declaration, blogs and social media began criticising Pope Tawadros, accused by some Coptic exponents of wanting to subdue the Orthodox Coptic Church to the Catholic Church.

Already on Saturday, the Coptic Information Center issued a statement to clarify that the Declaration signed by Pope Francis and Pope Tawadros does not contain a formal agreement on the question of re-baptisms, and is to be interpreted in continuity with the path of theological dialogue that began between the Orthodox Coptic Church and the Catholic Church with the visit that Patriarch Shenuda III made in Rome in 1973 to meet Pope Paul VI.

"All Egyptians, whether Christian or Muslim, were happy and surprised at the visit of Pope Francis to Egypt", reports to Agenzia Fides Anba Boutros Fahim Awad Hanna, Coptic Catholic Bishop of Minya.

"For this reason", adds Anba Boulos, "in the ecclesiastical controversies that are mounting on social media, I see that the devil is trying to ruin the positive atmosphere the Pope left in the Country.

The Declaration is clear and represents an important step towards the future. Pope Tawadros signed it with the consent of the Holy Synod of his Church. Criticism was predictable. Now it is important to move on together, in the path indicated by Pope Francis and Pope Tawadros". (GV) (Agenzia Fides 2/5/2017)

Catholic Pope Francis I repeats refugee ‘concentration camps’ remarks.

Catholic Pope Francis I repeats refugee ‘concentration camps’ remarks. (ToI).

Pope Francis I repeated aboard the Papal plane on Saturday that some migrant holding centers in Europe amount to “concentration camps,” even after Jewish groups urged him to stop using the loaded term.

A German reporter asked Francis if he had made a linguistic slip when he first made the remarks last week, adding that they had been met with shock in Germany.

Speaking en route home from Egypt, Francis appeared to not appreciate the controversy, saying that there are some refugee holding centers where migrants are penned in and prevented from leaving. He said: “There are refugee camps that are true concentration camps.”

The American Jewish Committee sharply criticized the remarks and urged Francis to use a different choice of words.

In a statement last week, AJC said that while the conditions in some migrant centers might be difficult “The Nazis and their allies erected and used concentration camps for slave labor and the extermination of millions of people during World War II. There is no comparison to the magnitude of that tragedy.” Hmmmm.....An old French proverb says 'When two Jesuits meet on the road, the devil appears for a threesome'.

Actually, the Vatican Recognized Palestine already in 2012.

Actually, the Vatican Recognized Palestine already in 2012. (TM).

Vox’s “Pope Francis just officially recognized Palestine as a state” offers a representative headline. Soon, the move was being alternatively celebrated and condemned by anti-Israel activists, the Anti-Defamation League, and even members of Congress.

But there was just one small problem with the news driving the whole hullabaloo: the Vatican had actually recognized Palestine in 2012, after it declared statehood at the United Nations.

This fact, which is evident from a cursory search of the Vatican’s official news service, was quickly noted by several experts in Palestinian politics.

Others observed that during his trip last May to Israel and Palestine, Pope Francis had explicitly heralded the “good relations existing between the Holy See and the State of Palestine.”

As Ramallah-based journalist and former Al Jazeera producer Dalia Hatuqa put it: “For years, Vatican has referred to it as State of Palestine. Nothing new here.”

The new treaty reported by the AP between the Vatican and “the state of Palestine,” in other words, was simply the first accord signed by the two parties since that original official recognition.

The Vatican surprised on Wednesday, announcing that it intended to sign an agreement with the "State of Palestine", a term adopted by the Holy See after the UN vote, which suggests that the Holy see Headquarters no longer deal with the PLO but with the state of Palestine.

The Treaty therefore constitutes official recognition of the Palestinian state by the Vatican. In 2012, the Vatican had approved the resolution of the UN General Assembly that recognized the Palestinian state.

The agreement, according to several sources, would focus on the status and activities of the Catholic Church in the Palestinian territories, said Wednesday a communiqué from the Holy See, while France has decided not to waive its property rights on the numerous religious buildings and land it owns in Jerusalem.

The agreement would cover "on religious freedom and conscience (...) on the life and activities of the Church in the Palestinian Territories: freedom of action, its staff and its jurisdiction" , according to Bishop Antoine Camilleri, Head the delegation of the Holy See, in an interview with the Vatican newspaper, L'Osservatore Romano.  Read the full story here.

British PM on Pope comments: 'There is a right to cause offence'

British PM on Pope comments: 'There is a right to cause offence'.(BBC).

Prime Minister David Cameron has disagreed with a comment made by Pope Francis, who warned against mocking others' religions.

Following the attack on French magazine Charlie Hebdo, the Pope made his point by saying someone who insulted his mother could "expect to get punched".

But Mr Cameron, speaking to CBS News, said the media had the right to publish material that was offensive to some.

Twelve people were killed by militant Islamists in the attack in Paris.

A policewoman and four people at a kosher supermarket died in separate attacks in the French capital earlier this month.

'Right to offence' Speaking to the Face the Nation programme on the American TV channel CBS, Mr Cameron was asked how to "find the right balance" after the Pope defended freedom of expression but said there were limits to freedom of speech.

The pontiff had said religions should be treated with respect, so that people's faiths were not insulted or ridiculed.

Mr Cameron replied: "I think in a free society, there is a right to cause offence about someone's religion.

"I'm a Christian - if someone says something offensive about Jesus, I might find that offensive, but in a free society I don't have a right to, sort of, wreak my vengeance on them."

He said as long as publications acted within the law, they had the right to publish any material, even if it was offensive to some.

Former Bishop of Oxford Richard Harries, writing in the Independent on Sunday, also suggested the Pope had been wrong to make the comments.

He said: "I am a great admirer of the Pope, but when, to make the proper point that we should not insult the faith of others, he said his assistant could 'expect a punch' if he cursed his mother, I was aghast.

"The reference to a punch could easily be taken for a justification of violence in response to insult." Hmmm.....HEAR ! HEAR !

Pope Francis I advocating use of Violence?

Pope Francis I advocating use of Violence? (AFP).

Pope Francis said Thursday there are limits to freedom of expression, especially when it insults or ridicules someone's faith.

Francis spoke about the Paris terror attacks while en route to the Philippines, defending free speech as not only a fundamental human right but a duty to speak one's mind for the sake of the common good.

But he said there were limits.

By way of example, he referred to Alberto Gasparri, who organizes papal trips and was standing by his side aboard the papal plane.

"If my good friend Dr. Gasparri says a curse word against my mother, he can expect a punch," Francis said, throwing a pretend punch his way. "It's normal. You cannot provoke. You cannot insult the faith of others. You cannot make fun of the faith of others."

Many people around the world have defended the right of satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo to publish inflammatory cartoons of the Prophet Muhammed in the wake of the massacre by Islamic extremists at its Paris offices and subsequent attack on a kosher supermarket in which three gunmen killed 17 people.

But recently the Vatican and four prominent French imams issued a joint declaration that denounced the attacks but also urged the media to treat religions with respect.

Francis, who has urged Muslim leaders in particular to speak out against Islamic extremism, went a step further when asked by a French journalist about whether there were limits when freedom of expression meets freedom of religion.

Francis insisted that it was an "aberration" to kill in the name of God and said religion can never be used to justify violence.

But he said there was a limit to free speech when it concerned offending someone's religious beliefs.

"There are so many people who speak badly about religions or other religions, who make fun of them, who make a game out of the religions of others," he said. "They are provocateurs. And what happens to them is what would happen to Dr. Gasparri if he says a curse word against my mother. There is a limit."

Hmmm.....The Jesuits have always loved violence, mothers used to scare kids with 'If you don't behave i'll send you to the Jesuit school'..... Now again threatening to punch people.

I'll go with the previous Pope: “Violence does not build up the kingdom of God, the kingdom of humanity. On the contrary, it is a favorite instrument of the Antichrist, however idealistic its religious motivation may be,” Pope Benedict XVI.

For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins. Colossians 3:13 NIV

Will Pope Francis Recognize Palestine and blame Israel for talks failure on Trip to Israel?

Will Pope Francis Recognize Palestine and blame Israel for talks failure on Trip to Israel?HT: Forward.

JERUSALEM — Three popes have visited Israel. But Pope Francis will be the first to visit the “State of Palestine.” The official itinerary for his Holy Land trip during the last week in May has him visiting an entity that, as far as both Israel and the United States are concerned, doesn’t exist.

In fact, the very first thing he will do when he enters the Israeli-occupied West Bank is to pay a “courtesy visit to the president of the State of Palestine.” This refers to Mahmoud Abbas, who in Jerusalem and Washington is considered not a head of state, but instead president of the Palestinian Authority, an interim body created by the Oslo Accords.

David Neuhaus, Vatican-appointed media coordinator for the visit, told the Forward that the wording “refers to the 2012 declaration of the United Nations that Palestine is a member state.” In short, the Vatican is reiterating, on the ground, its recognition of Palestinian unilateral moves at the U.N.

Some expert observers further say that Pope Francis won’t be able to resist some kind of postmortem for the peace process. Yvonne Friedman, an expert in Jewish-Christian relations at Bar Ilan University, is “almost sure” that the pope will directly or indirectly pin the blame on Israel for the collapse of negotiations. But Neuhaus played down the speculation. “I don’t think the pope is coming to teach anyone a lesson,” he said. “He’s not going to blame anyone.” Read the full story here.

Hmmm......If so, nothing else can be expected from a 'Black Pope'.

Matthew 7:1-6 : 7 “Do not judge, or you too will be judged. 2 For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.

3 “Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? 4 How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? 5 You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.

6 “Do not give dogs what is sacred; do not throw your pearls to pigs. If you do, they may trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you to pieces.

Imminent: Israel's Capitulation to the Vatican.

Imminent: Israel's Capitulation to the Vatican.(INN).By Giulio Meotti.

Agreements with the Vatican are capitulation to their plans for the Old City and the Temple Mount - or should we say the "Holy Basin".

A long-awaited agreement between the Vatican and Israel appears to be near finality.
The two main points revolve around the Church's requests to build two centers in Israel: a church in a section of the Caesaria National Park where a site dedicated to Paul once stood, and the use of a plot on Mount Zion in Jerusalem.

The structure on Mt. Zion, the highest point of Jerusalem, is known as the Cenacle, where the Last Supper is believed to have taken place, and according to the deal which will be signed in the coming months, it will become open to Catholic worship once again.

The Vatican asks Israel to allow the Church to build a passageway through the Diaspora Yeshiva, which takes care of the area known as David's Tomb, and to enable thousands of Christian worshipers to access the Last Supper Room more easily .

The area has strategic value, since it is a few hundred yards from the Temple Mount, so the Catholic Church will turn it into the international center for Catholics all around the world.

As the New Sanhedrin stated in 2009, those in the Vatican who initiated the concept of the “Holy Basin”, which is pivotal in this agreement, intended to remove exclusive Jewish sovereignty from the Temple Mount and the Old City and - in effect - aimed at "the total removal of Jewish sovereignty".

Father Athanasius Macora, secretary of a Franciscan commission monitoring holy sites, declared that "Franciscan control of the Last Supper room would open the site to regular Christian prayer services, Masses and other ceremonies". Now the Franciscans are permitted to have a mass only twice a year: on the day of Pentecost and on the Holy Thursday. Christian pilgrim groups have there a short silent prayer when visiting.

Recently Father Peter Stravinskas told Vatican Radio: "It is unfortunate that this site of the Lord's last supper is not accessible to Christians for worship. It is controlled by the Israeli civil authorities. In fact when Pope John Paul went to Jerusalem there had to be a special permission for him to be able to celebrate mass in the Cenacle. There is some talk now, of course, that perhaps there's a negotiation going on in order to return the Cenacle to the care of the Church".

That's why the Franciscans, who will benefit from Israel-Vatican deal, claim the title of "Guardian of Mount Zion". Pope Francis is very close to this order, which established political links with the PLO in Jerusalem.
In his first significant appointment to the Roman Curia, Pope Francis has taken the highly unusual step of naming the actual head of the Franciscan order, Father Jose Rodriguez Carballo, as Secretary of the Vatican’s Congregation for the Institutes of Consecrated life. Born in Lodoselo, Spain, Carballo was ordained priest in Jerusalem in 1977.

We have to remember that in 2002, the "Franciscan Custody of the Holy Land" criticized the demand by the U.S. Congress that Jerusalem be recognized as the capital of Israel, calling it "a decision that does not respect Israeli-Palestinian peace talks".

Those who will be in charge of the Cenacle on Mount Zion have been among the most ardent partisans of a Palestinian Arab State.

In 2000, before the suicidal Camp David talks, Yasser Arafat met Islamic and Christian clergymen at his offices in Ramallah to get their backing for Arab sovereignty over Jerusalem. Among the clergymen who attended the meeting were Diodoros I, Patriarch of the Greek Orthodox Church, Torkom II, patriarch of the Armenian Orthodox Church, Catholic Patriarch Michel Sabbah and officials from the Custody of the Holy Land. This is the same order which will be in charge of the Mount Zion structure.

All of the Christian churches currently standing in Jerusalem are seen as the product of the destruction of the Jewish people, their dispossession and exile. It is the Christian exile which Christianity glorifies in as being everlasting.

There is the risk that the new church on Mount Zion will be used to foment a political war on the rest of the Jewish Jerusalem.

The very spirit of Israel's capitulation to the Vatican lies in the Franciscans order's definition of Mount Zion: "The place that is traditionally known as the place of the Last Supper and of the bestowing of the gift of the Holy Spirit is today occupied by a Yeshiva or Jewish religious school".

Will Israel dismantle this "occupation" as it did in Gush Katif? In 2005, while the synagogue of Netzarim was burned by Arab terrorists, the Catholic Church stood silent despite Israeli rabbis' pleas to condemn the torching.

Pope washes feet of two Muslim prisoners in unprecedented twist on Maundy Thursday.

Pope washes feet of two Muslim prisoners in unprecedented twist on Maundy Thursday.(CNN).

Pope Francis washed the feet of a dozen prisoners, including young women, at a youth detention center in Rome as part of a Holy Thursday Mass ahead of Easter.

The pontiff poured water over the young offenders' feet, wiped them with a white towel and kissed them.

The act of foot-washing at the Mass of the Lord's Supper is part of the Christian tradition that mirrors Jesus' washing of his disciples' feet.

Francis' decision to celebrate the Mass with young offenders at the Casal del Marmo center represents a break with tradition but is in step with his record in embracing simplicity and humility. The service has in past years been held at the grand Basilica of St. John Lateran, the official seat of the bishop of Rome.

This time, the Mass "will be, by his express desire, very simple," the Vatican said before the service.

The young offenders were expected to give the pope a wooden crucifix and kneeler, which they made themselves in the detention center's workshop.

In return, Francis was to bring Easter eggs and colomba, traditional Italian Easter cake in the shape of a dove, for all, the Vatican had said.

The Casal del Marmo center houses close to 50 inmates, who range in age from 14 to 21. The young people who had their feet washed were chosen from different nationalities and diverse religious backgrounds. Two young women and two Muslims were included in the rite, according to the Vatican.Read the full story here.

New Pope Francis I Urged Turkey to Recognize Armenian Genocide in 2006.

New Pope Francis I Urged Turkey to Recognize Armenian Genocide in 2006.(Asbarez).Seven years ago, the newly-elected Pope Francis urged Turkey to unconditionally recognize the Armenian Genocide.

During events marking the 91st anniversary of the Armenian Genocide in Buenos Aires, then Archbishop of Buenos Aires Jorge Mario Bergoglio urged Turkey to recognize the Genocide as the “gravest crime of Ottoman Turkey against the Armenian people and the entire humanity.”

On Wednesday, after what is viewed as a short conclave, white smoke from the chimney of the Sistine Chapel heralded that a gathering of Catholic cardinals picked a new pope, choosing the first pontiff from the Americas to lead the Roman Catholic Church. The 76-year-old pope will be called Francis, the 226th pontiff of the Roman Catholic Church and the first member of the Jesuit order to lead the church and the first none-European pope in more than 1,200 years.

“I would like to thank you for your embrace,” the new pope, dressed in white, said from the white balcony on St. Peter’s Basilica as thousands cheered joyously below. “My brother cardinals have chosen one who is from far away, but here I am,” reported the New York Times.

“Pray for me, and we’ll see each other soon,” the pope told the crowd of more than 100,000 gathered at St. Peter’s Square.Hmmm....'God's Marines' have a new Pope.Read the full story here.

Pope Francis I - The Worlds first 'Black Pope'?

Pope Francis I - The Worlds first 'Black Pope'? EXPLAINING St. Malachy's Prophecy surrounding the 112 Pope and End Times Biblical Prophecy.

Is Pope Jorge Bergolio, a Jesuit from Argentina, the Worlds first Black Pope? The head of the Jesuits is called the "Black Pope" and holds the title of General, just as in the military. "Black Pope" is a derogatory nickname given to the Superior General usually by the media and never used by the Jesuits themselves.

The idea of there being a black Pope in the end times does not come from the Bible, but rather from the visions of Saint Malachy in the 12th century. In approximately A.D. 1139, Saint Malachy received a vision in which it was revealed to him that there would be 112 more Popes, with the last one being the “black Pope.” Interestingly, the current Pope, Benedict XVI, is Pope number 111 after Saint Malachy’s vision (although the count of Popes varies somewhat). So, is the next Pope, the 112th Pope, going to be the black Pope?

"Does the Bible say anything about a black Pope in relation to the end times?"

Biblically speaking, there is absolutely no connection between a black Pope and the end times. The Bible does not even mention the papacy. The idea of a supreme leader over the entire Christian church is not found in the Bible. There may be an end-times prophecy about the city of Rome (Revelation 17:9), as Rome is the city on seven hills. Some interpret the whore/beast of Babylon as the Roman Catholic Church and believe that in the end times the Roman Catholic Church will actually welcome the coming of the Antichrist. Some hold that the black Pope will be the one who leads the Roman Catholic Church into this apostasy. Again, let it be said, the Bible does not say anything about Popes in general or an end-times Pope in particular.

There is also the question of what Saint Malachy’s vision of a black Pope means in regards to the use of the word “black.” Some believe it refers to an evil nature; thus, the last Pope will be an evil Pope. Others believe that it refers to skin color; thus, someone of African descent will be elected Pope. In the most recent papal election, at least one African candidate was considered. Whatever the case, even if someone of black/African descent is elected the next Pope, it does not necessarily have any bearing on the end times. Instead of studying purported visions and wild conspiracy theories, our focus should be on what the Bible actually says about the signs of the end times.

The Society of Jesus (Latin: Societas Iesu, S.J., SJ or SI) is a Christian male religious order of the Roman Catholic Church. The members are called Jesuits and are also known colloquially as "God's Marines",these being references to founder Ignatius of Loyola's military background and members' willingness to accept orders anywhere in the world and live in extreme conditions.

"When two Jesuits meet, the devil is always there to make a threesome."– old French proverb
Also note this Pope was elected on 3-13-13 at 8:13 (phenomenally occult numerology) Vatican time .

Related: Spaniard Adolfo Nicolas was elected the Jesuits' "black pope", as the head of the largest and perhaps most influential, controversial and prestigious Catholic order is known, in a secret conclave on Saturday.

Nicolas, 71, has run Jesuit operations in east Asia and Oceania since 2004 and spent most of his career in the Far East after being ordained in Tokyo in 1967.

The order said in a statement that Nicolas had been elected to succeed Father Peter-Hans Kolvenbach, who received permission from Pope Benedict to retire as head of the order formally known as the Society of Jesus at the age of 79.Hmmm......A new 'World Order'......And 'The Army Of God' getting ready for it.
