Catholic Pope Francis I repeats refugee ‘concentration camps’ remarks.

Catholic Pope Francis I repeats refugee ‘concentration camps’ remarks. (ToI).

Pope Francis I repeated aboard the Papal plane on Saturday that some migrant holding centers in Europe amount to “concentration camps,” even after Jewish groups urged him to stop using the loaded term.

A German reporter asked Francis if he had made a linguistic slip when he first made the remarks last week, adding that they had been met with shock in Germany.

Speaking en route home from Egypt, Francis appeared to not appreciate the controversy, saying that there are some refugee holding centers where migrants are penned in and prevented from leaving. He said: “There are refugee camps that are true concentration camps.”

The American Jewish Committee sharply criticized the remarks and urged Francis to use a different choice of words.

In a statement last week, AJC said that while the conditions in some migrant centers might be difficult “The Nazis and their allies erected and used concentration camps for slave labor and the extermination of millions of people during World War II. There is no comparison to the magnitude of that tragedy.” Hmmmm.....An old French proverb says 'When two Jesuits meet on the road, the devil appears for a threesome'.

Pres Hussein Obama invites individuals who publicly flout Catholic teaching to greet the pontiff at the White House.

Pres Hussein Obama invites individuals who publicly flout Catholic teaching to greet the pontiff at the White House. (Breitbart).

President Obama will apparently test just how far Pope Francis’ notorious tolerance will go by inviting a rogue’s gallery of people opposed to Catholic teaching to greet the pontiff at the White House during his visit next week.
In a stunning show of political indecorum, Obama has invited a series of individuals who publicly flout Catholic teaching, including a pro-abortion religious sister, a transgender woman and the first openly gay Episcopal bishop, along with at least two Catholic gay activists.

Obama's 'peace partners'....a.k.a. 'Angels of peace' adopt ‘One State Solution’ as Official Policy.

Obama's 'peace partners'....a.k.a. 'Angels of peace' adopt ‘One State Solution’ as Official Policy.(PW).
For PA chief Mahmoud Abbas, the idea of a “greater Palestine” – that would stretch from “the river to the sea” – is now an official policy.
On the occasion of Nakba day - the day Palestinians commemorate "the catastrophe" of the establishment of the State of Israel - Mahmoud Abbas' Fatah movement reiterated its message that there is no room for Israel in the region.

The movement posted the following text on its Facebook page, showing that the two-state solution is not something Fatah wants realized:

"The marking of the anniversary day of the Nakba in Tubas. From its [Mediterranean] Sea to its [Jordan] River... it is ours. #returning_returning" [Facebook, "Fatah - The Main Page," May 13, 2015]

Another Fatah post presented the same message visually with an image showing a map of "Palestine" that included the PA areas as well as all of Israel with a Palestinian flag flying from it and photos of the Dome of the Rock (image above). The accompanying text presented Jerusalem and the Galilee in Northern Israel as part of "Palestine":

"Good morning, O Palestine,

Good morning to the land of olives and peace, good morning to Jerusalem, good morning O Gaza, good morning O [West] Bank, good morning to the Galilee." [Facebook, "Fatah - The Main Page," May 14, 2015]

Fatah is not the only Palestinian institution presenting all of Israel as part of "Palestine." Palestinian Media Watch has documented that the PA National Security Forces regularly presents towns, villages and places all over Israel as "Palestine" or "occupied Palestine," as does the PA Presidential Guards.

Mariam Baouardy Saint to be, was nearly murdered by Muslim, only lived three years in Palestine.

Sister Mariam Baouardy Saint to be,  was nearly murdered for refusing a marriage proposal, only lived three years in Palestine. (WIKI).

Mariam Baouardy, O.C.D. (5 January 1846 – 26 August 1878), was a Discalced Carmelite nun of the Melkite Greek Catholic Church. Born to Greek Catholic parents from Syria and Lebanon,[1] she was a mystic, who experienced the stigmata, and has been beatified by the Roman Catholic Church.

She was born on 5 January 1846 (the eve of Epiphany) in the village of I'billin, the region of Southern Syria in the Ottoman Empire, now in Israel, to Giries (George) Baouardy and his wife, Mariam Chahine, both of Damascene ancestry.

Baouardy's parents both died from an illness in 1848, only a few days apart. The siblings were then each taken in by relatives on different sides of her family living in different villages, she being taken in by her father's brother who lived in the same village. The brother and sister would never see one another again. She was raised in a loving home in comfortable circumstances. As a child she had a marked spirit of religious fervor, choosing, for example, to fast at the age of five.

When Baouardy was eight, her uncle and his wife moved to Alexandria, Egypt, to improve their situation. Five years later, in 1858 when she was aged 13, in keeping with tradition, she was engaged by her uncle to his wife's brother, who lived in Cairo. The night before the wedding, she had a religious experience in which she felt called not to marry and to offer her life to God. Upon being told this the following morning, her uncle flew into a rage and beat her severely. Despite this, and the subsequent ill treatment she began to experience from her uncle, she stayed firm in her decision.

Nonetheless, Baouardy felt depressed and alone. She wrote her brother, then living in Nazareth, asking him to visit her. The young male servant she asked to deliver the letter drew out of her the cause for her sadness. Upon learning of this, he attempted to woo her for himself, inviting her to convert to Islam. She rejected his proposal, which caused the young man to fly into a rage, in which he drew a knife and cut her throat. He then dumped her body in a nearby alley.

Baouardy then experienced what she was convinced was a miracle. As she related later, a "nun dressed in blue" picked up her body and stitched her wounds, caring for her in some grotto which she could never identify. Her voice was effected for the rest of her life as a result of the cut, which a French doctor later measured as being 10 cm. (nearly 4 inches) wide. After being cared for by this mysterious figure for a month, she recovered enough to leave and find work as a domestic servant in the home of an Arab Christian family in the city. She would give most of the little money she earned to the poor on the streets.

After a year, Baourardy decided to try to meet her brother and traveled by caravan to Jerusalem. There she felt inspired to make a vow of perpetual virginity at the Holy Sepulchre. She then took a boat in Jaffa with the intention of heading to Acre. Due to poor weather, however, the boat had to stop at Beirut. Taking this as a sign from God, she disembarked and found work as a maid. After working there she suddenly became blind, a condition that lasted for 40 days, just as suddenly recovering her vision. Not long after that, she had a serious fall which seemed to leave her for dead. Her employer cared for her for a month until she revived, completely healed.

In May 1863 a generous patron made it possible for Baouardy to move to Marseille, France, where she became the cook for an Arab family. While there, she felt called to enter a religious order. Rejected by the first groups to which she sought admission, in May 1865 she was accepted as a postulant by the Congregation of the Sisters of St. Joseph of the Apparition, who had communities in the Holy Land and already had several Palestinian candidates. It was at this point that she received the stigmata of Christ.

During the last month of this period of candidacy, the Mistress of novices, who had drawn Baouardy's life story from her, was replaced by Mother Veronica of the Passion. After two years as a postulant, Baouardy was up for a vote by the community regarding her admission to the congregation. To her shock and dismay, she was rejected by the Sisters who were charged with making the decision.

At that point, Mother Veronica had just received permission to transfer to the Discalced Carmelite monastery at Pau to prepare for her forming a new congregation of Religious Sisters serving in India, the Sisters of the Apostolic Carmel. She invited Baouardy to go with her, writing to the prioress of that community and recommending that they accept the young Arab woman. The prioress accepted Mother Veronica's advice and, in June 1867, both women went together to Puy, where they received the Carmelite religious habit and Baourdy was given the religious name of Mary of Jesus Crucified.

In 1870, Mariam went with the first group of Carmelite Apostolic Sisters to Mangalore, India. She served there for two years before returning to Pau. It was there she made her profession of solemn vows as a member of the Order. After returning to Pau for three years before returning to help found the first in Palestine. In September 1875 she helped to found a new monastery in Bethlehem, the first of the Order in that region, where she lived until her death. During her whole life, she experienced periods or religious ecstasy frequently throughout the day.

In April 1878 Mariam played an important role in the identification of the Biblical Emmaus thanks to a private revelation. She died on 26 August 1878 in Bethlehem, from a cancer which had developed in her bones as a result of the fall she had while working in the monastery, which led to gangrene that spread to her lungs.Hmmm......So The 'Palestinian' Saint lived THREE years in Palestine.

Actually, the Vatican Recognized Palestine already in 2012.

Actually, the Vatican Recognized Palestine already in 2012. (TM).

Vox’s “Pope Francis just officially recognized Palestine as a state” offers a representative headline. Soon, the move was being alternatively celebrated and condemned by anti-Israel activists, the Anti-Defamation League, and even members of Congress.

But there was just one small problem with the news driving the whole hullabaloo: the Vatican had actually recognized Palestine in 2012, after it declared statehood at the United Nations.

This fact, which is evident from a cursory search of the Vatican’s official news service, was quickly noted by several experts in Palestinian politics.

Others observed that during his trip last May to Israel and Palestine, Pope Francis had explicitly heralded the “good relations existing between the Holy See and the State of Palestine.”

As Ramallah-based journalist and former Al Jazeera producer Dalia Hatuqa put it: “For years, Vatican has referred to it as State of Palestine. Nothing new here.”

The new treaty reported by the AP between the Vatican and “the state of Palestine,” in other words, was simply the first accord signed by the two parties since that original official recognition.

The Vatican surprised on Wednesday, announcing that it intended to sign an agreement with the "State of Palestine", a term adopted by the Holy See after the UN vote, which suggests that the Holy see Headquarters no longer deal with the PLO but with the state of Palestine.

The Treaty therefore constitutes official recognition of the Palestinian state by the Vatican. In 2012, the Vatican had approved the resolution of the UN General Assembly that recognized the Palestinian state.

The agreement, according to several sources, would focus on the status and activities of the Catholic Church in the Palestinian territories, said Wednesday a communiqué from the Holy See, while France has decided not to waive its property rights on the numerous religious buildings and land it owns in Jerusalem.

The agreement would cover "on religious freedom and conscience (...) on the life and activities of the Church in the Palestinian Territories: freedom of action, its staff and its jurisdiction" , according to Bishop Antoine Camilleri, Head the delegation of the Holy See, in an interview with the Vatican newspaper, L'Osservatore Romano.  Read the full story here.

British PM on Pope comments: 'There is a right to cause offence'

British PM on Pope comments: 'There is a right to cause offence'.(BBC).

Prime Minister David Cameron has disagreed with a comment made by Pope Francis, who warned against mocking others' religions.

Following the attack on French magazine Charlie Hebdo, the Pope made his point by saying someone who insulted his mother could "expect to get punched".

But Mr Cameron, speaking to CBS News, said the media had the right to publish material that was offensive to some.

Twelve people were killed by militant Islamists in the attack in Paris.

A policewoman and four people at a kosher supermarket died in separate attacks in the French capital earlier this month.

'Right to offence' Speaking to the Face the Nation programme on the American TV channel CBS, Mr Cameron was asked how to "find the right balance" after the Pope defended freedom of expression but said there were limits to freedom of speech.

The pontiff had said religions should be treated with respect, so that people's faiths were not insulted or ridiculed.

Mr Cameron replied: "I think in a free society, there is a right to cause offence about someone's religion.

"I'm a Christian - if someone says something offensive about Jesus, I might find that offensive, but in a free society I don't have a right to, sort of, wreak my vengeance on them."

He said as long as publications acted within the law, they had the right to publish any material, even if it was offensive to some.

Former Bishop of Oxford Richard Harries, writing in the Independent on Sunday, also suggested the Pope had been wrong to make the comments.

He said: "I am a great admirer of the Pope, but when, to make the proper point that we should not insult the faith of others, he said his assistant could 'expect a punch' if he cursed his mother, I was aghast.

"The reference to a punch could easily be taken for a justification of violence in response to insult." Hmmm.....HEAR ! HEAR !

Pope Francis I advocating use of Violence?

Pope Francis I advocating use of Violence? (AFP).

Pope Francis said Thursday there are limits to freedom of expression, especially when it insults or ridicules someone's faith.

Francis spoke about the Paris terror attacks while en route to the Philippines, defending free speech as not only a fundamental human right but a duty to speak one's mind for the sake of the common good.

But he said there were limits.

By way of example, he referred to Alberto Gasparri, who organizes papal trips and was standing by his side aboard the papal plane.

"If my good friend Dr. Gasparri says a curse word against my mother, he can expect a punch," Francis said, throwing a pretend punch his way. "It's normal. You cannot provoke. You cannot insult the faith of others. You cannot make fun of the faith of others."

Many people around the world have defended the right of satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo to publish inflammatory cartoons of the Prophet Muhammed in the wake of the massacre by Islamic extremists at its Paris offices and subsequent attack on a kosher supermarket in which three gunmen killed 17 people.

But recently the Vatican and four prominent French imams issued a joint declaration that denounced the attacks but also urged the media to treat religions with respect.

Francis, who has urged Muslim leaders in particular to speak out against Islamic extremism, went a step further when asked by a French journalist about whether there were limits when freedom of expression meets freedom of religion.

Francis insisted that it was an "aberration" to kill in the name of God and said religion can never be used to justify violence.

But he said there was a limit to free speech when it concerned offending someone's religious beliefs.

"There are so many people who speak badly about religions or other religions, who make fun of them, who make a game out of the religions of others," he said. "They are provocateurs. And what happens to them is what would happen to Dr. Gasparri if he says a curse word against my mother. There is a limit."

Hmmm.....The Jesuits have always loved violence, mothers used to scare kids with 'If you don't behave i'll send you to the Jesuit school'..... Now again threatening to punch people.

I'll go with the previous Pope: Violence does not build up the kingdom of God, the kingdom of humanity. On the contrary, it is a favorite instrument of the Antichrist, however idealistic its religious motivation may be,” Pope Benedict XVI.

For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins. Colossians 3:13 NIV

Atatürk Society of America: "Cautionary message to his Holiness the Pope"

Atatürk Society of America: "Cautionary message to his Holiness the Pope". (ASA).

Nov.12, 2014

His Holiness, Pope Francis

Apostolic Palace 00120 Vatican City

Your Holiness,

The Atatürk Society of America is a non-governmental civil society that strives to protect the reformist objectives that constituted the foundation of the Turkish Republic.

While we are very proud and happy about your planned visit to Turkey, we are deeply concerned that your program includes a meeting with the current Turkish president.

We have no doubt that you are very well informed about the corruption activities, and dictator style administration of the Turkish president, about his brutal treatment of his people, and the blood of the protestors in his hands.

We do not want you to shake those stained hands with your Holy hands; we do not want you to visit him in the so-called “world’s largest palace” he built for his presidency in contempt of court rulings, and in contempt of public outcry and poverty. Your visit with him will be interpreted as support for his unpopular, undemocratic rule.

He will exploit your visit for his nefarious agenda of expanding Islamic rule as far as possible.

You must already know that his policy of interjection of religion in politics is not for the good of the people –as one might expect with the involvement of religion-, but for the expansion of Islamism. His hidden agenda is the resurrection of the Ottoman influence on 1.5 billion Muslims to rule the world, or at least to challenge the Christian world.

We are deeply concerned because your visit will be perceived as sanctioning the dirty deeds and objectives of an internationally unpopular man. This perception will be unavoidable despite your peaceful, well-intended, wisdom inducing efforts.

As to the concern that the exclusion of a visit to him will be diplomatically unacceptable, we are convinced that, in reality, such a change in your program will be greatly appreciated by a great majority of Turks, as well as by many world leaders, because it will distance you from his undesirable intentions. Such a decision on your part will make your reception by Turks even more enthusiastic.

Respectfully yours,

Hudai Yavalar, Founding Chairman

Pope to Visit 'Islamist' Turkey As Region's Christians Flee Islamic State Persecution.

Pope to Visit 'Islamist' Turkey As Region's Christians Flee Islamic State Persecution. (AINA).

Pope Francis will travel to Turkey next month, the Vatican said on Tuesday, his first visit to the predominantly Muslim country which has become a refuge for Christians fleeing persecution by Islamic State militants in neighboring Syria and in Iraq.

During his three-day visit, the pope will meet with Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan and Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu. He will also meet Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew I, the Istanbul-based spiritual leader of the Orthodox churches that make up the second-largest Christian church family after Roman Catholicism.

"The Holy Father will visit Ankara and Istanbul from Nov. 28 to 30," Vatican spokesman Father Federico Lombardi said in a statement.

Islamic State militants have declared a "caliphate" in the territories they control and have killed or driven out large numbers of Christians, Shi'ite Muslims and others who do not subscribe to their hardline version of Sunni Islam.

Many have fled to Turkey, along with tens of thousands of Syrian Kurds who left as Islamic State forces seized dozens of their villages close to the border, where fighting continues.

A U.S.-led coalition has been carrying out air strikes on the militants near the Syrian border town of Kobani which is being defended by Kurdish fighters. Turkey said earlier on Monday it would facilitate passage of Iraqi Kurdish fighters to reinforce fellow Kurds in Kobani.

On Monday, Francis told cardinals at the Vatican that Islamic State had reached levels of terrorism "previously unimaginable".

"Many of our brothers are persecuted and were forced to leave their homes ... It seems that awareness of the value of human life has been lost, that people do not count and can be sacrificed for other interests," he said.

The Turkey trip would be Francis's third to a mainly Muslim nation after Jordan and Albania. Hmmm....If you ask me ..."HUGE MISTAKE" he can as well go and visit the ISIS headquarters. This is inviting a terrorist attack on the Pope.

Increased security after threat of terrorist attack at the Vatican.

Increased security after threat of terrorist attack at the Vatican. (Corriere)[GoogleTranslate].

A foreign intelligence service: two Arabs spoke of the opportunity to 'do something' at the Vatican.

ROME - The alert has been upgraded three days ago, on the eve of the public hearing of Pope Francis. A "demonstrative act in the Vatican" spoke a signal transmitted intelligence to law enforcement.

The alert is based on an intercepted conversation between two Arabs, nothing particularly alarming. But the tension is already high and the threat of terrorism Isis is scary, especially after the decision of the United States and the United Kingdom, which is shared by Italy and other European allies to arm the peshmerga, and more recently to initiate targeted bombings in Iraq .

In St. Peter's Square was increased the number of patrols of police and policemen in uniform, but mostly it was intensified surveillance carried out by men in plain clothes. Better checks are carried out inside, on the directive of the gendarmerie who still has constant exchange of information with the Italian authorities. The spokesman of the Vatican Press Office, Father Federico Lombardi, however, tends to minimize "For part of the Vatican, the situation is normal and there were no threats or special concerns. Everything takes place in the normal range. The Italian security has always been some strengthening during the Sunday Angelus and general audiences. "

For weeks of anti-terrorism specialists of the Interior Ministry and the police of the Ros examine the reports that come from the police, often elaborating what is also highlighted by the structures of foreign intelligence. In recent days, was sent an informative coming from a foreign intelligence service, which showed a conversation between two Arabs on the possibility of "doing something in the Vatican."

The two names were quickly controlled: one of them appeared totally unknown, the other would be passed from Italy about eight months ago. And this has convinced devices to prevent the need to further raise the level of attention, albeit without taking any extraordinary initiative.

The fear of an attack by Islamic fundamentalists, especially the Isis, against a western state was revived by President Barack Obama. The experts agree the Vatican at the top of the list of possible targets, especially after the position taken last August by the Pope on what is happening in Syria, when he stressed that it was "lawful stop the unjust aggressor.Hmmm....The Pope visiting Turkey on the invitation of Erdogan is a huge mistake

Pope set to visit Islamist Turkey at end of November, ISIS cheering idea.

Pope set to visit Islamist Turkey at end of November, ISIS cheering idea. (HD).

Pope Francis will make his first visit to Turkey at the end of November, Turkish Ambassador to the Vatican Kenan Gürsoy said, adding that an official invitation was sent to the Papacy on Sept. 12.
Gürsoy told daily Hürriyet that Pope Francis was expected to make a two day visit on Nov. 29-30, stopping in Ankara on his first day before heading to Istanbul.

The Vatican also confirmed Sept. 12 that President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s invitation had been received, but Father Federico Lombardi told reporters that his exact date and program had yet to be finalized.

Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew I of Constantinople has also personally invited the Pope to Turkey on behalf of the Greek Orthodox Church. Gürsoy said an official program would be drafted by the Vatican after receiving the official invitation, but Francis is expected to participate in the special liturgy for St. Andrew’s Day on Nov. 30 at the Greek Orthodox Church of St. George in Istanbul.

Francis will become the fourth Pope to visit Turkey, a country with a tiny Christian Catholic community, following in the footsteps of Benedict XVI, who visited Turkey in 2006.
Hmmm........Invited by Erdogan, he better wear two pair of bulletproof undies.

Islamist terror group ISIS Plans On Assassinating The Pope.

ISIS Plans On Assassinating The Pope, Italian Gov Gets Tougher To Protect The Vatican.HT: Shoebat.

ISIS is targeting Pope Francis, calling him the “bearer of false truth.” According to an Italian source, ISIS is not only setting their sites on the Vatican, but more specifically, on Pope Francis himself.

Italian authorities have already issued an alert giving warnings on places that our potential targets to terrorist, and one on the list, being very significant, was “places of worship,” which would include the Vatican.

It has been reported that at least 50 people from Italy are now fighting for ISIS, 80% of whom are native Italians who converted to Islam. One of the reasons for their conversion, according to one Italian newspaper, was “distrust in the Catholic Church,” indicating the connection between Islam and anti-Catholicism.

Most interestingly, the goal to force the Vatican to become Muslim was recently stated by an ISIS agent in Italy named Imam Ismar Mesinovic, a Bosnian Muslim who stationed himself in the country to recruit Italian converts to fight for ISIS. He said:

We Muslims believe that one day the whole world will be an Islamic state. Our goal is to make sure that even the Vatican will be Muslim. Maybe I will not be able to see it, but that time will come.

Shoebat.com was the first to find a video in which ISIS declared that they are going to take over the Vatican.

This must be one of the reasons as to why one ISIS jihadist called Obama “the dog of the Romans,” before slaughtering a Kurdish militiaman, since Italy is sending weapons to Kurdish fighters in order to combat ISIS. Read the full story here.

Video: "Allah hu Akbar" cries interrupt the Mass of the Pope in Bethlehem.

Video: "Allah hu Akbar" cries interrupt the Mass of the Pope in Bethlehem.HT: IsraelFlash.[GoogleTranslate].

Well finally, the Pope dared forgotten that Jesus was a "Palestinian"! The Chétiens arrived en masse for this mass did not enjoy - Christians once formed the majority of the population in Bethlehem. The peace process and the powerful PLO expelled the Christian population as Islamic supremacism has done throughout the Middle East.

Bethlehem, a city that was 90% Christian in 1900 is now more than two-thirds Muslim. Bethlehem was still 60% Christian in 1990, but the Christians have lost their majority in the following years. In 2000, Christians represented only 40% of the population of Bethlehem. According to recent figures, Bethlehem today is no more than 15% Christian and a thousand Christians leave the city every year.

Christians of Bethlehem became the target of persecution of Muslims after the Palestinian Authority under Yasser Arafat took power in the city. Since then, Christians have suffered intimidation, the aggressions, thefts of land, throwing firebombs at churches, employment discrimination, torture, abduction, forced marriages, and extortion funds.

George Rabie, a taxi driver 22 year-old from the outskirts of Bethlehem, Beit Jala, is proud of his Christianity, even if it endangers every day.

There are two months, he was beaten by a gang of Muslims who were visiting Bethlehem from the nearby town of Hebron and who had spotted the crucifix hanging on his windscreen.

"In the cradle of Christianity, we have seen over the years that the Christmas party was reduced to snowmen and bells," said Pastor Steven Khoury Terre Sainte tasks.

This happened during the Pope's visit should not surprise anyone! [NDT: actually it happened the same thing during the visit of the late Pope!]

The Muslim call to prayer from the mosque of Omar on Manger Square in Bethlehem interrupted the Mass of Pope Francis outside the Church of the Nativity.

According to Israel Radio reporter Gal Berger, Christian crowd responded with whistles and shouts, and choirs have tried to cover the muezzin. Radio Army Radio reported that the cries of "Long live the Pope" Christians met with cries of "Allah Akbar Hou."

PMW calls on the Pope

by Itamar Marcus and Nan Jacques Zilberdik

In the course of his visit to Israel and the Palestinian Authority next week, as a matter of protocol, Pope Francis, the most senior figure in the Catholic Church, is scheduled to meet with Israel's two chief rabbis as well as the most senior religious figure in the PA, the Mufti Sheikh Muhammad Hussein.

What Pope Francis may not be aware of is that the Mufti has an ongoing record of vicious Antisemitic hate speech, which has been condemned internationally

In 2012, the Mufti preached that it is Muslim destiny to kill the Jews. On a different occasion, in the Al-Aqsa Mosque, he taught that Jews were "enemies of Allah," and in another speech he said that the souls of suicide bombers "tell us to follow in their path."

In his 2012 speech at a Fatah celebration in East Jerusalem, the Mufti linked the extermination of Jews to "Palestine," and claimed that Israelis know this religious war, "Jihad," is coming and are trying to protect themselves by planting a special tree that will hide them from Muslims when they come to kill them.Read the full story here.

NSA spied on the future Pope Francis before and during Vatican conclave: report.

NSA spied on the future Pope Francis before and during Vatican conclave: report.(DM).

ROME — The National Security Agency spied on the future Pope Francis before and during the Vatican conclave at which he was chosen to succeed Benedict XVI, an Italian news magazine reported Wednesday.
The U.S. spy agency monitored telephone calls made to and from the residence in Rome where the then-archbishop Jorge Mario Bergoglio stayed during the conclave, the secret election at which cardinals chose him as pontiff March 13.

The claims were made by Panorama, which said the NSA eavesdropped on the calls of many bishops and cardinals at the Vatican in the lead-up to the conclave, held amid tight security in the Sistine Chapel. The information gleaned was then reportedly divided into four categories — “leadership intentions,” “threats to financial system,” “foreign policy objectives” and “human rights.”Read the full story here.

Pope personally e-mails Jewish leader on Holocaust.

Pope personally e-mails Jewish leader on Holocaust.(TOI).
Francis pens a reflection on the place of God during the Shoah in light of the massacre of 1 million Jewish children.
ROME – Pope Francis has continued to reach out to Jews, this time with a personal email to Menachem Z. Rosensaft, an American law professor who deals with Holocaust and genocide issues.

Francis’s email was a reflection on the place of God during the Holocaust. It was, Elizabeth Tenety wrote in the Washington Post’s On Faith blog, a response to Rosensaft, who had sent the Vatican the text of a sermon he delivered at New York’s Park Avenue synagogue on this topic during this year’s High Holidays.

The son of two Holocaust survivors, Rosensaft is general counsel of the World Jewish Congress and vice president of the American Gathering of Jewish Holocaust Survivors and Their Descendants.

In his sermon, which was published in the On Faith blog, Rosensaft had declared,My parents’ entire immediate families were murdered in the Shoah. My mother’s five-a-and-half-year-old son, my brother, was one of more than one million Jewish children who were killed by the Germans and their accomplices only and exclusively because they were Jewish. Again, what possible transgressions could any of them have committed to cause God to turn away from them?

How, he asked, “can we believe in God in the aftermath of the Shoah? Shouldn’t an omniscient God have had to know that the cataclysm was being perpetrated? And shouldn’t an omnipotent God have been able to prevent it?”

According to the Post the pope replied, When you, with humility, are telling us where God was in that moment, I felt within me that you had transcended all possible explanations and that, after a long pilgrimage — sometimes sad, tedious or dull – you came to discover a certain logic and it is from there that you were speaking to us; the logic of First Kings 19:12, the logic of that ‘gentle breeze’ (I know that it is a very poor translation of the rich Hebrew expression) that constitutes the only possible hermeneutic interpretation. Thank you from my heart. And, please, do not forget to pray for me. May the Lord bless you.”

Hmmmm.....

Pope Francis I:  “Jesus is indignant when he sees these things” because those who suffer are “his faithful people, the people that he loves so much.

Pope Karol Wojtyla:

In order to perceive the true answer to the "why" of suffering, we must look to the revelation of divine love, the ultimate source of the meaning of everything that exists
Love is also the richest source of the meaning of suffering, which always remains a mystery: We are conscious of the insufficiency and inadequacy of our explanations. Christ causes us to enter into the mystery and to discover the "why" of suffering, as far as we are capable of gasping the sublimity of divine love

In order to discover the profound meaning of suffering . . . we must above all accept the light of revelation. . . . Love is also the fullest source of the answer to the question of the meaning of suffering. This answer has been given by God to man in the cross of Jesus Christ. (SD 13)

Palestinian president Abbas invites pope Francis I to the Middle East

Palestinian president Abbas invites pope Francis I to the Middle East.(HD).

Palestinian president Mahmud Abbas on Thursday said he had invited Pope Francis to the Middle East, during an audience in the Vatican.
Speaking to Vatican foreign affairs official Dominique Mamberti after the talks, he said: "It was a pleasure and I invited him to the Holy Land".

Abbas gave the pope a ceramic panel with a view of Bethlehem and a Bible as gifts, while Francis gave him a decorative pen with which Abbas said he hoped to sign a peace agreement with Israel. "Soon, soon," the pope responded.

Israeli President Shimon Peres also invited Francis during a visit earlier this year and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is due to be received by the pope on Wednesday next week.

Francis has already said he would like to travel to the Middle East but the Vatican has not confirmed the trip, despite a report by Israel's Channel 2 television that it will take place in March.

Francis has said he would like to visit with patriarch of Constantinople Bartholomew I, the spiritual leader of the world's Orthodox Christians.

Abbas is the fourth Middle East leader to meet Pope Francis after Peres, Lebanese President Michel Sleiman and King Abdullah of Jordan.
