"you are a liar, like your father" late Saudi king Abdullah told Qatar's Sheikh Tamim.

"you are a liar, like your father" late Saudi king Abdullah told Qatar's Sheikh Tamim. (AN).
The overwhelming belief among Saudi, Emirati and many Arab officials is that there are three kinds of lies: 'Lies, damned lies… and Qatari statements.'
The severing of diplomatic ties with Doha by a number of Arab and Muslim countries — most notably fellow Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) members Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and the UAE — is not something that should be taken lightly; nor should it be assumed that such a tough measure was sudden or came out of the blue.

In fact, anyone who has monitored the recent heated exchange of angry editorials — which has been going on for over two weeks between the Arabic-language media outlets of Qatar and those of Saudi Arabia and the UAE — would have easily predicted that relations were heading rapidly toward this unfortunate point.
However, the only party that seems to have ignored the clear signals of where things were headed was the government of Qatar. This is surreal, given that it has the most to lose.

This time however other countries, such as Egypt and the eastern-based government of Libya, are on board in boycotting Doha. What is also different this time around is that Riyadh, Abu Dhabi and Manama are cutting off ties completely with Qatar, as opposed to only recalling their ambassadors as they did three years ago.
Why now?

The answer to that question is that the Qatari government has become like the “boy who cried wolf.”
In other words, the overwhelming belief among Saudi, Emirati and many Arab officials is that there are three kinds of lies: Lies, damned lies… and Qatari statements. This is particularly the case given that more often than not, Doha’s actions simply do not match its words.
Take the official denial that Sheikh Tamim praised Iran, Hamas and Hezbollah in those recent statements. Even if we were to believe that Sheikh Tamim never said those things, Doha is still a home for the Hamas leadership. There are still posters in Lebanon hung by Hezbollah that say “Shukran Qatar” (Thank you, Qatar). Even after the controversial alleged statements were made, the Qatari emir reached out publicly to President Hassan Rouhani of Iran and said he had instructed his government to enhance bilateral relations more than ever before.
‘You are a liar, just like your father,’ were reportedly the last words of the late King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia to Qatar’s Sheikh Tamim. Apparently, King Salman has quickly reached the same conclusion.
Faisal J. Abbas
The truth is that the Qataris — at least when it comes to their foreign policy — are known to be pathological liars. One only has to recall what Qatari Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani told Arab News last month, just a few days before the recent GCC spat began to emerge. “We don’t, won’t and didn’t support the Muslim Brotherhood,” were Al-Thani’s shocking words in that interview.

While many had thought the young Sheikh Tamim only needed time to shift away from the controversial foreign policy of his father (Sheikh Hamad, who willingly stepped down in 2013), what Doha was doing made it clear that the young emir was nothing more than a chip off the old block.

“You are a liar, just like your father,” were reportedly the last words of the late King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia, who oversaw the 2014 recall of GCC ambassadors from Doha, to Qatar’s Sheikh Tamim. Apparently, King Salman has quickly reached the same conclusion. Read the full story here

Erdogan On Morsi death sentence: 'Egypt is turning into ancient Egypt.'

Erdogan On Morsi death sentence: 'Egypt is turning into ancient Egypt.' (HD).

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has slammed the death penalty issued for former Egyptian president Mohamed Mursi, likening the country to "ancient Egypt" while criticizing the Western stance over the coup, which was led by Mursi's successor Abdel Fatah al-Sisi.

"Egypt is turning into ancient Egypt. Sisi cannot be confronted. The West does not display a stance against Sisi the coupmaker," Erdoğan said in his speech during an inauguration ceremony in Istanbul on May 16.

Hours before Erdoğan's speech, an Egyptian court sought the Mursi and more than 100 other members of the Muslim Brotherhood in connection with a mass jail break in 2011.

Egyptian court issues preliminary death sentence to Morsi and MB 'Godfather' Al Qaradawi in "jailbreak case".

Egyptian court issues preliminary death sentence to Morsi in "jailbreak case". (AA).

Cairo Criminal Court on Saturday issued a preliminary ruling of death to former Islamist president Mohamed Morsi and 105 other defendants in the trial known as the "Natroun Jailbreak case."

The court has sent its decision in the "Natroun case" to the country's Grand Mufti for a consultative review as required by Egyptian law, setting 2 June as a date for a final verdict.

The court also issued a preliminary ruling of death to Brotherhood leaders Mohamed El-Beltagy and Khairat El-Shater and 14 others in the trial known as "Hamas Espionage case."

The court also sent its decision in the "Hamas Espionage case" to the country's Grand Mufti for a consultative review as required by Egyptian law, setting 2 June as a date for a final verdict.

In the "Natroun Jailbreak case, the prosecution had charged Morsi and co-defendants with damaging and setting fire to prison buildings, murder, attempted murder, looting prison weapons depots and releasing prisoners.

The prisoners, who broke out of jail, include members of the Palestinian Hamas movement, Lebanon's Hizbullah, jihadists, Muslim Brotherhood members and varied criminals, according to the prosecution.

Prosecutors also said that over 800 fighters from Gaza had infiltrated Egypt, using RPGs and heavy armaments to storm three prisons, abducting four policemen and killing several others, along with inmates.

The ruling goes to the Mufti

Though the Grand Mufti's opinion is non-binding to the court, Egyptian judges have traditionally adjusted their final rulings in accordance with the Mufti's recommendations.

Saturday's capital punishment ruling against Morsi makes him the first president in Egypt's history to face the possibility of death by hanging if court ratifies its initial decision on 2 June or if he loses a projected appeal.

Other leading Brotherhood figures sentenced to death in the espionage case include Mahmoud Ezzat, who, at large, has been acting Brotherhood leader in August 2013 following the arrest of Supreme Guide Mohamed Badie.

Other Brotherhood leaders sentenced to death In the jailbreak case include Islamist preacher Youssef Al-Qaradawi, who resides in Qatar; Brotherhood Supreme Guide Mohamed Badie, former speaker of the house Saad El-Katatni; and vice president of the Brotherhood's Freedom and Justice Party Essam El-Erian.

In the espionage case, Morsi and 35 others were charged with conspiring with foreign powers — including the Palestinian Islamist group Hamas, Lebanon's Hizbullah and Iran's Revolutionary Guard — to destabilise Egypt.

The court did not on Saturday issue a ruling against Morsi and 18 others in the case and scheduled the announcement for 2 June, suggesting that the former president, unlike those sentenced to death in the case today, will not be punished by death. Hmmm.....Making a 'martyr' out of Morsi would be a mistake in my opinion, better give him life,...in solitary.

Muslim Brotherhood 'Godfather' Qaradawi's Organization Wants Worldwide Blasphemy Law.

Muslim Brotherhood 'Godfather' Qaradawi's Organization Wants Worldwide Blasphemy Law.(GMBR).

UK media is reporting that Youssef Qaradawi’s International Union of Muslim Scholars (IUMS) has called on the UN to make ‘contempt of religions’ illegal. According to the Daily Mail report:
January 21, 2015 A leading Islamic organisation has called on the United Nations to make ‘contempt of religions’ illegal and urged the West to protect Muslim communities following the attack on French magazine Charlie Hebdo.
The Qatar-based International Union of Muslim Scholars, headed by influential preacher Yusuf al-Qaradawi, appealed to Muslims to continue peaceful protests against images of the Prophet Mohammed but ‘not to resort to any violence’.
…..
In a statement released Tuesday, the union said there should be protection for ‘prophets’ and urged Islamic countries to submit a draft law to the UN calling for defamation of religions to be outlawed.
The union said the UN should then issue a ‘law criminalising contempt of religions and the prophets and all the holy sites’.
It also called for the West ‘to protect Muslim communities from attacks, whether they are citizens or residents or visitors’.
The union has condemned the publication of a cartoon of the Prophet Mohammed holding a ‘Je suis Charlie’ sign under the headline ‘All is forgiven’ in the first Charlie Hebdo edition since Islamist gunmen killed 12 people in an attack on its offices.
It said that the new drawing would give ‘credibility’ to the idea that ‘the West is against Islam’ and warned the image would incite further hatred.
In January 2012, the GMBDW reported that the Qatari Justice Minister, with help of of the IUMS, was designing a law that would ban attacks on or offenses to religion that was to be presented to the United Nations.

The International Union of Muslim Scholars (IUMS) was launched on July 11, 2004 in conjunction with a visit by leader Youssef Qaradawi to London for a meeting of the European Council for Fatwa and Research. Qaradawi is the IUMS President while  many prominent individuals tied to the Global Muslim Brotherhood and/or Hamas serve as IUMS Trustees

The GMBDW reported in December of last year that the (IUMS) was being expelled from an international Islamic council,  likely the Cairo-based International Islamic Council for Da’wa and Relief, (IICDR), an umbrella group for 86 Islamic organizations, many of which had known for being associated with the Global Muslim Brotherhood, Hamas fundraising, or support for Al Qaeda.

According to an Ahram Online report, the IUMS and ten other unidentified groups were being dropped from the Council because they mix preaching with politics, and support terrorist groups although the IICDR website does not as of yet show any changes to its list of affiliated organizations and does not include the IUMS.

Hmmmm.......The term “Islamophobia” was  by the International Institute for Islamic Thought (IIIT), a front group of the Muslim Brotherhood.

Islamophobia actually means FEAR of Islam - its TEACHINGS - and NOT of Muslims, should it be a legitimate and real condition among the so called UNBELIEVERS?

Muslim Brotherhood 'Godfather' Qaradawi is now forbidden from delivering sermons in Qatar.

Muslim Brotherhood 'Godfather' Qaradawi is now forbidden from delivering sermons in Qatar.(Facebook) [GoogleTranslate].
Leadership from Qatar to prevent Qaradawi giving of Friday sermons in mosques is final.
Sources country informed that the chiefdom Qatar prevented named Yusuf al-Qaradawi from delivering Friday sermons in the mosques are final.

And media quoted Egyptian sources as saying: «The return of Yusuf al-Qaradawi to the Friday sermon in Doha has become excluded permanently».

This  comes after it asked the chiefdom Qatar in recent days from a large number of Muslim Brotherhood members of terrorist leave the territory promptly.

The sources added: «The return of al-Qaradawi to Lead people will mean a big contrast in the position of Qatar's new since it is not unreasonable to deport leaders of the Brotherhood and then continue to allow Qaradawi delivered speeches and promote the positions of the Muslim Brotherhood propaganda biased against Egypt and the Gulf states supporting it».

Qaradawi was sparked a diplomatic crisis between chiefdom Qatar and its neighbors from chiefdoms petrodollars and private Msheechta Al Saud and Al Khalifa, the two were forced to take all possible decisions to alert the chiefdom diameter of the seriousness of the role it plays in the region through its insistence on Twitter individual at the expense of the fates of chiefdoms oil and its interests. has also played Qaradawi role inflammatory great crisis in Syria and the issuance of a lot of fatwas that incite terrorists to enter Syria for shedding the blood of the Syrian people. Hmmm....Is it true Pigs do fly?

Obama 'admin' Hosts Syrian Activist Who Sees AQ-Tied Rebels as Moderate.

White House Hosts Syrian Activist Who Sees AQ-Tied Rebels as Moderate. HT: TIP.
Fresh from congressional approval to arm and train Syrian rebel groups fighting the vicious Islamic State terrorist group, the White House met this week with Syrian American advocates to discuss how to proceed.
But one of the people consulted is on record defending and sympathizing with Syrian rebels tied to al-Qaida.

Mohamad Alla Ghanem, government relations director for the Syrian American Council, touted his White House visit on his Facebook page Thursday.

Last November, Ghanem wrote about a trip to Doha, where he got to meet Sheik Yusuf al-Qaradawi, a spiritual guide to the Muslim Brotherhood who has endorsed attacks against American troops in Iraq and suicide bombings against Israelis.

"I love this appreciated scholar very much," Ghanem wrote, "even I adore his jurisprudence. I consider this a great honor. Now, I am over the moon." Qaradawi has been banned from entering the United States and United Kingdom due to his support for terrorism.
But that's not the only time Ghanem has praised jihadists.

In December2012, Ghanem wrote a column in Washington Post in which he criticized the United States for classifying Jabhat Al Nusra as a terrorist organization. Sure, many Jabhat leaders are ideological on par with al-Qaida, he wrote, but not all of its members share that view. And the group "has achieved military successes and has delivered critical civilian aid."

In a column published a week ago by The Hill, Ghanem noted a recent Islamic State attack that wiped out the leadership in the Syrian rebel group Ahrar al-Sham. It is perhaps "the most hardline Syrian rebel group," and founded by al-Qaida leader Ayman al-Zawahiri's personal representative in Syria, but it is an Islamic State rival nonetheless.

Ghanem said he didn't mention the group to endorse it, but argued it was "a great shame that" American support to Syrian rebels was held back "for fear of rebel groups like Ahrar al-Sham as Syrians were slaughtered by the thousands."

And Ghanem's organization, the Syrian American Council, sponsored last year's U.S. fundraising visit of Rateb Al Nabulsi. Nabulsi is a Syrian Islamic scholar who labeled all Jews as legitimate targets for suicide bombers. Now Al Nabulsi, along with an imam named Osama Al Rifai, who also came to the U.S with the help of SAC to raise money, are on the Syrian Islamic Council, which issued a statement opposing the American airstrikes against the Islamic State. Hmmm....What could go wrong with 'allies' like these?

Controversial Muslim Brotherhood DHS Adviser Let Go Amid Allegations of Cover Up.

Controversial Muslim Brotherhood DHS Adviser Let Go Amid Allegations of Cover Up. (Teaparty).
Elibiary let go after extremist rhetoric, claims he improperly used classified docs

(Free Beacon) – A Department of Homeland Security (DHS) adviser long engulfed in controversy over his radical views was let go from his role in the department last week after a long fight by lawmakers and others to revoke the individual’s privileges at DHS.

Mohamed Elibiary was until last week a senior member of DHS’ Homeland Security Advisory Council (HSAC). After years of controversy about his status at DHS, Elibiary announced his final day with the department on Twitter earlier this month and said he would remain close to the agency.

Media outlets have raised questions about the circumstances surrounding his departure, speculating that his provocative comments about the “inevitable” return of the Muslim “caliphate” may have played a role.

New documents obtained by the Washington Free Beacon indicate that Elibiary had no choice in the matter, and that he may have been let go by DHS in order to minimize the fallout from an investigation into allegations that he improperly accessed and used classified materials obtained with his security clearance.

Elibiary was originally appointed to HSAC in 2010 and reappointed in September 2013 with the elevated title of “senior fellow,” DHS informed Rep. Louie Gohmert (R., Texas) in a July letter about Elibiary’s status with the agency, according to a copy of that correspondence obtained by the Free Beacon.

“Mr. Elibiary will not be reappointed when his term expires in September of 2014,” Alan Bernstein, DHS assistant secretary for policy and chief diplomatic officer, informed Gohmert.

Bernstein provided no specific reason for this decision and a DHS spokesperson did not respond to a request for more information on the matter.

Patrick Poole, a counterterrorism analyst and writer who has closely tracked Elibiary’s career and first reported on the allegations against him, said that DHS is trying to limit the fallout of his controversial tenure at the department.

Mohamed wants to pretend that he’s moving on to bigger and better things,” Poole said. “But it’s clear that Homeland Security threw him under the bus, and he’s going back to [his home state of] Texas with his tail between his legs.

Elibiary has long been a lightening rod for controversy and a poster boy for critics who accuse the Obama administration of appointing radical advisers to a range of sensitive security posts.

Elibiary, for instance, came under fire in June for tweeting about the “inevitable” return of the Muslim “caliphate.” His tweets were later praised by affiliates of the Islamic State of Iraq and Levant (ISIL) and potentially used to recruit extremist followers.

Elibiary also has maintained that America is “an Islamic country with an Islamically compliant constitution” and argued that the Muslim Brotherhood poses no threat to the United States.

Poole speculated that Elibiary’s controversial public comments as well as ongoing questions about the investigation likely fueled DHS’s decision not to renew his tenure on the advisory council.

I think two things contributed to him getting the boot by DHS,” Poolse said. “The first was that Twitter gave the world an unfiltered look into the twisted extremist worldview of Mohamed Elibiary. It is amazing that someone in Homeland Security public affairs didn’t put the clamp down on that. So his social media use was attracting nothing but negative attention.”

The other thing was that the phony … investigation into Elibiary’s document leaking was quickly unraveling,” Poole said. “I knew the ‘investigation’ was phony because neither my source or myself were ever contacted by DHS about the matter, and members of Congress who were making inquiries knew that at best it was one-sided. And when DHS couldn’t provide a single email or document in response to the Judicial Watch FOIA to prove this investigation ever took place, the jig was up.”

I suspect they’re cutting him loose so they don’t have any more congressional inquiries about how they handled, or more accurately didn’t handle, that matter,” Poole said.

Elibiary did not respond to an email seeking clarification on why DHS did not reappoint him.Read the full story here.

Al-Taqiyya - The relationship between the Muslim Brotherhood and Qatar is stronger than it may appear.

Al-Taqiyya - The relationship between the Muslim Brotherhood and Qatar is stronger than it may appear. (AlAhram).

Some political analysts attribute the recent change in Qatari policies towards the Brotherhood to warming relationships between Qatar and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). Following a GCC meeting in late August, in a sign Qatar was ready to heed some of the GCC and Egypt's demands regarding the Brotherhood, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates announced they would be returning their ambassadors to Doha after recalling them in the spring.

Others are less convinced. "The relationship between the Muslim Brotherhood and Qatar is stronger than it may appear. What Qatar did, in expelling a couple of famous faces from the Muslim Brotherhood, is just a way to (diffuse) some of the pressures of other countries in the GGC," Ahmed El-Ban, a researcher on Islamist movements, told Ahram Online.

Earlier, the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Bahrain called on the fellow Gulf state to expel leading Brotherhood figures and tone down Al Jazeera's broadcasts. Gulf media even circulated reports of possible economic sanctions being imposed on oil-rich Qatar by its GCC peers.

This spring, to increase pressure on Doha, both Saudi Arabia and the UAE blacklisted the Brotherhood on their own soil and declared it a terrorist group, following Egypt's designation of the Brotherhood as a terrorist organisation last December.

On the other hand, political analyst and researcher on Islamist movements Ammar Ali Hassan believes the change of heart in Qatar relates to the ongoing war on terrorism – specifically against the militant group known as the Islamic State – to be led by the US.

"There is a change in American policy towards Islamist movements in the region, including the Muslim Brotherhood, as part of its war against the Islamic State," Hassan told Ahram Online.

"Of course, as Qatar is the US's biggest ally in the region and one that is implementing its policies, it had to change its policies towards Islamists, including the Muslim Brotherhood."

Hassan also hinted that Gulf states, including Qatar, are facing direct threats from IS right now. Nevertheless, Hassan believes Qatar won't immediately abandon its longstanding support for the Brotherhood but will rather do so gradually. "Qatar still needs the Muslim Brotherhood in the region, including the local Muslim Brotherhood group who are actually influential in Qatari society," Hassan said.

El-Ban also believes Qatar will not stop supporting the Brotherhood.

"Already those seven expelled Muslim Brotherhood figures cannot be considered among the decision makers in the group – except for Mahmoud Hussein, the secretary-general of the Brotherhood in Egypt, who I believe was replaced by someone secretly," El-Ban said.

Speculation has grown that as many as 70 other Brotherhood members and supporters will also be asked by Doha to leave Qatar. However, a source close to the Brotherhood in Qatar told Ahram Online that so far only the seven figures were asked to leave, and that there has been no talk on the ground of an additional Brotherhood exodus from Qatar.

There has also been speculation on where the seven will go after Qatar, especially since some of them are wanted on charges in Egypt. Three countries are expected to be their next safe haven: the UK, Turkey and Malaysia.

Both the UK and Turkey already host significant communities of Brotherhood members and leading figures – especially the UK, which has no extradition agreement with Egypt and a long-established Brotherhood community.

Nevertheless, not all leading Brotherhood figures can head to the UK. Ghoneim, for example, has been placed on the British Home Office’s list of individuals banned from the UK for stirring up hatred and calling for terrorist acts.

Another obstacle facing the Brotherhood-in-limbo is the British government's inquiry into the group's activities in the UK. This week, the Daily Telegraph reported that the British government was moving to restrict the activities of the Brotherhood in the UK.

However, Turkish President Tayyip Recep Erdogan told reporters on Monday on his way to Doha that the exiled Brotherhood figures could find refuge in his country if they requested it, and that there were no legal obstacles to Turkey hosting them. Indeed, on the same day, Al Jazeera Turk TV reported that Darrag had already arrived in Turkey.

Egypt's relations with Turkey have deteriorated after Morsi's ouster, with the Egyptian government accusing Turkey of supporting the Brotherhood, and Erdogan, then prime minister, openly attacking the new Egyptian government, calling the ouster of Morsi a coup. "Regardless of what is claimed in the media, the Brotherhood will not send its leading figures to one country only. It prefers to spread them all over the six continents," El-Ban said, adding that Brotherhood's organisational hierarchy and bylaws allow the group to expand and act in transnational ways.

According to Hassan, the expulsions are a significant negative development for the Brotherhood and will force the group to reconsider its policies in the coming period.

"Now the Muslim Brotherhood understands that its host countries can turn against them and abandon them at any given moment. They have no other option but to revise their policies and strategies," he said. Hassan also believes the Brotherhood has reached a point of unprecedented weakness in Egypt's streets – which will increase after the recent expulsions, he says.

He predicts second-tier leaders and youths within the group calling for "change, revision, and new policies, contrary to the old leading members of the Brotherhood. The Brotherhood youth already demand new faces, instead of the old leading figures that failed miserably in the last two years."

This was echoed earlier this month by Ibrahim Mounir, secretary-general of the Brotherhood in London, who said in an interview with Masr Al-Arabia news website – deemed to be close to the group – that internal revisions had been made in recent months – without specifying whether they related to strategy or organisation.

Mounir also said that six young Brotherhood members had been promoted to the Guidance Office – an unprecedented move in the 86-year-old group. El-Ban sees all this as proof that the "the Brotherhood will change its ways, including the language it uses in the media."

He points to recent statements issued from the Brotherhood-led National Coalition to Support Legitimacy which have used revolutionary expressions and the language of leftist parties, focusing on workers' rights and economic conditions rather than their usual brazen Islamist anti-government rhetoric.

"The Brotherhood is originally a conservative reformist group that does not believe much in revolutionary change. That created a problem for it in the last three years and alienated it from other revolutionary political forces," he added. "Now that they are using revolutionary rhetoric, you know that all other political roads are closed in front of them," El Ban said.

Hmmmm.......A Qatari diplomat contradicted Mr. Darrag, speaking on the condition of anonymity. The diplomat said that the Brotherhood leaders had decided to depart for their own reasons without any request from Qatar, and that they were welcome to return.Read the full story here.

Muslim Leaders Insist Islamic State Not Islamic.

Muslim Leaders Insist Islamic State Not Islamic. HT: TIP.
More than a dozen American Muslim leaders condemned the Islamic State's (IS) brutal tactics as contrary to Islam Wednesday during a press conference held at the National Press Club.
But in doing so, several speakers urged the public to ignore the terrorist group's theological motivations.
Talib Shareef, imam of Masjid Muhammad in Washington, D.C., exhorted the media to refer to IS as the "Anti-Islamic" State because its actions run contrary to the teachings of Mohammed.

"This is not an Islamic State of being; it's not an Islamic State of mind; and it's not an Islamic State that the prophet himself created in his first state, where he saw this beautiful peace and equality for all religions – Jews, Christians that were there with him," Shareef said, noting what Muslims call the Medina Charter.

Another speaker, former Council on American-Islamic Affairs (CAIR) Tampa director Ahmed Bedier, later wrote on Twitter that IS "is not a product of Islam," and blamed America for its emergence.

CAIR, which portrays FBI agents as ruthless schemers out to set up Muslims for trumped-up charges, was noticeably absent from Wednesday's news conference. Its Minnesota chapter obstructed FBI investigations into al-Shabaab's recruitment of Somali Muslims in the Twin Cities, and its San Francisco chapter published a poster saying: "Build A Wall of Resistance: Don't Talk to the FBI."

Another group, the Assembly of Muslim Jurists of America (AMJA), which counts Magid as a member, published an article in 2008 written by Hatim al-Haj, a member of its fatwa committee, saying that working for the FBI was "impermissible" because of the "harm they inflict on Muslims."Read the full story here.

Video - Muslim Brotherhood 'Godfather' Al-Qaradhawi: Islamic Caliphate Should Look Like the EU

Transcript: Yousuf Al-Qaradhawi: At the beginning, I advocated [interfaith dialogue] with the Shiites, but later, we had disagreements on many issues. I realized that they were trying to invade the Sunni belief. We sent forty preachers to African countries, and they detected in all the Islamic countries there millions of dollars and thousands of Shiites invading Sunni [turf]. That is why I no longer advocate [dialogue]. They are the ones who caused the rift between us. […]

The extremist groups appear among Muslims because of the corrupt circumstances and corrupt rulers. These groups emerge like Al-Qaeda before them, with Bin Laden and Yahya [sic] Al-Zawahiri… The new groups are in the same category. ISIS stands for the Islamic State in Iraq and Sham. It is said that this young man [Abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi] started off as a member of the Muslim Brotherhood, but he had leadership aspirations. After a few years in jail, he was released and joined these people.

Some young men join them. I know that some non-Arabs from Qatar joined them. [They are told] that they fight the infidels for the sake of Allah, but they accuse Muslims of heresy, and they kill dhimmis who do not deserve to be killed. This is a big problem. We fight this extremism. This extremism brings destruction upon the Muslims.

A group cannot just announce a caliphate. This is not the way to establish a caliphate. A caliphate can be established when several Muslim countries, which are ruled by the shari'a, come together, and form a caliphate. It doesn't have to be like the original Islamic Caliphate. It can take the form of a federation or a confederation. We can form a union like the Europeans, which will develop gradually.

Today, there is even a Chinese union. The number of Chinese according to the latest census is 1.5 billion. There are 1.7 billion Muslims. There are 1.5 billion people in China, and 1.2 billion people in India. Why is it permissible for them and not for the Muslims? The Muslims can have a caliphate, but only when they have just and realistic rulers.   Hmmm........'Under Sharia' of course.

Islamist terror group ISIS Plans On Assassinating The Pope.

ISIS Plans On Assassinating The Pope, Italian Gov Gets Tougher To Protect The Vatican.HT: Shoebat.

ISIS is targeting Pope Francis, calling him the “bearer of false truth.” According to an Italian source, ISIS is not only setting their sites on the Vatican, but more specifically, on Pope Francis himself.

Italian authorities have already issued an alert giving warnings on places that our potential targets to terrorist, and one on the list, being very significant, was “places of worship,” which would include the Vatican.

It has been reported that at least 50 people from Italy are now fighting for ISIS, 80% of whom are native Italians who converted to Islam. One of the reasons for their conversion, according to one Italian newspaper, was “distrust in the Catholic Church,” indicating the connection between Islam and anti-Catholicism.

Most interestingly, the goal to force the Vatican to become Muslim was recently stated by an ISIS agent in Italy named Imam Ismar Mesinovic, a Bosnian Muslim who stationed himself in the country to recruit Italian converts to fight for ISIS. He said:

We Muslims believe that one day the whole world will be an Islamic state. Our goal is to make sure that even the Vatican will be Muslim. Maybe I will not be able to see it, but that time will come.

Shoebat.com was the first to find a video in which ISIS declared that they are going to take over the Vatican.

This must be one of the reasons as to why one ISIS jihadist called Obama “the dog of the Romans,” before slaughtering a Kurdish militiaman, since Italy is sending weapons to Kurdish fighters in order to combat ISIS. Read the full story here.

'State Sponsor of Terrorism?' - Turkey is the largest trading partner for ISIS oil,

'State Sponsor of Terrorism?' - Turkey is the trading largest partner for ISIS oil, sometimes even Turkish refineries buy directly. (Marketplace).

By some estimates, the extremist group ISIS controls 60 percent of oil production in Syria, as well as six oil wells in Iraq.

Much of this oil ends up in the black market, and given that, the "purchase" and sale of this oil is far from typical.

In addition to its holdings, the group is also assumed to pilfer from pipelines and storage facilities, said Valerie Marcel, oil and Middle East analyst at the Chatham House think tank in London.

Marcel says ISIS, also known as ISIL or the Islamic State, takes some of its crude and refines it. “They have an open pit, they burn the oil very crudely,” Marcel says. “And then they have some gasoline which they can provide to local residents, and to their own Humvees.”

The rest of the oil goes to market, largely in Turkey, through a murky set of intermediaries.

“Some of them are Iraqi middlemen, and they take the crude to the border,” Marcel says. “Others are Turkish middlemen. And they’re able to actually sometimes get the oil sold directly to a refinery in Turkey. So that involves a quite well-informed organization.”Hmmm...Can we NOW define Turkey as a 'State Sponsor of Terrorism.?

Bugün runs with “Shocking allegation on ISIS from German media”,
Zaman has “One more new allegation from Germany”,
andTaraf states [the] “Germans found ISIS in Fatih”.
Socialist daily BirGün, meanwhile, asks “Does ISIS have an office in Fatih?”
According to Bugün, German state TV channel ARD has claimed that militants from European countries, en route to Syria and Iraq, stopped over in İstanbul’s Fatih* district first.
The daily states that ARD based its report on European intelligence units, and claimed that ISIS militants were given 400 U.S. dollars allowance each in the unofficial office. The report also notes that militants received support for entering Syria from the office in Fatih.
Bugün reports that according to European Commision officials, militants who return home after fighting for ISIS put the security of European countries at risk.

Bugün also notes that some of these people spend their annual leave in the Syrian training camps before returning home to their jobs.

According to officials, these individuals are “passive” at the moment, but are trained for action in Europe for when “the time arrives”. It is also mentioned in the German TV news report that there are 140 Dutch and 385 Belgian citizens who have joined ISIS.Hmmmm....Europe and probably the US And Canada have a 'fifth column' jihadis on their territory.

Update: More on ISIS activity inside Turkey here.

"Erdoganistan" - Nice to know TWO and a half years ahead that you will be the next president!

"Erdoganistan" - Nice to know TWO and a half years ahead that you will be the next president! (HD).

Presidential jet arrives one day after Erdoğan inauguration, was ordered TWO years ago by Erdogan.

The jet, registered as TC-TUR, landed at an Istanbul airport after a 13-hour flight from San Diego Turkey’s new presidential jet, which was likened by some observers to the United States’ Air Force One, has been delivered, one day after President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s inauguration.

The Airbus A330-200 Prestige, which landed at Istanbul’s Sabiha Gökçen Airport in the morning of Aug. 29, was ordered by Erdoğan two and a half years ago.

The 90-seat aircraft, which was modified by San Diego-based Gore Design, will start service in Ankara after customs and repainting procedures are completed in Istanbul.

Main opposition Republican People’s Party (CHP) deputy chair Sezgin Tanrıkulu filed a parliamentary question on Aug. 27, demanding a government response over reports that the aircraft cost 436 million Turkish Liras and was bought using state finances. Hmmm....Anything go's in 'Erdoganistan'.Read the full story here.

Turkey the new Muslim brotherhood 'Den'? Qaradawi considering relocating to Istanbul, "capital of the Caliphate"

Turkey the new Muslim brotherhood 'Den'? Qaradawi considering relocating to Istanbul, "capital of the Caliphate" HT: GMBR.

Recent statements by Youssef Qaradawi suggest that the 87-year-old leader of the Global Muslim Brotherhood is under great deal of stress no doubt related to pressure he and Qatar, his host nation, are facing from a variety of quarters. In a filmed interview for the Turkish media before the recent Istanbul meeting of his International Union of Muslim Scholars (IUMS) and reviewed by the GMBDW:

Qaradawi stressed that they are having this conference in Istanbul, the capital of the [Historic] Caliphate, and that new Turkey brings together religious and non-religious issues, the Arab and non-Arab, and the nation in Asia and Africa, adding that “the nation should be based on it”.

Qaradawi blessed Erdogan for his election as the Turkish President; in order to justify Erdogan’s success, Qaradawi quotes a Quranic verse which speaks about the Prophet’s cooperation with Allah and states that “Angle Gabriel and the righteous of the believers and the angels, moreover, are [his] assistants. (Quran 66:4)

In what appears to be a battle of dueling caliphate claims, the GMBDW had reported in July that Qaradawi had ruled that a declaration of a Caliphate by the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) is “void under Shariah.” In addition to apparently declaring Turkey to be the capital of the Caliphate, an Egyptian news report of unknown reliability said recently: Sources close to Qaradawi have said that he is considering relocating to Turkey due to the deteriorating relations between Qatar and the Gulf countries.

An agreement has been reached to form a new Islamic alliance of Arab and Islamic countries to be headed by Turkish Prime Minister Erdogan. The agreement was said to have been reached during meetings of the “International Muslim Brotherhood” held on the sideline of the Istanbul conference and where Erdogan and Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood figure Amr Darrag were present. Tunisian Muslim Brotherhood leader Rachid Ghannouchi will take over IUMS from Qaradawi.

The GMBDW cautions that as noted, this Egyptian report cannot be independently confirmed and appears to be contradicted in part by Qatari media reports that Qaradawi was re-elected as IUMS Chairman during an election held at the Istanbul conference.

At the end July, the Investigative Project translated other remarks by Qaradawi in which he defended the building of military tunnels by Hamas with the interesting interpretation that they were needed to protect Hamas from Israel:

Muslim Brotherhood 'Godfather' Qaradawi Glorifies Killing Jews; Blames Jews For Egyptian Ruler Al-Sisi.

Muslim Brotherhood 'Godfather' Qaradawi Glorifies Killing Jews; Blames Jews For Egyptian Ruler Al-Sisi. (GMBR).

The International Union of Muslim Scholars (IUMS) has announced that it held a seminar on Jerusalem last week featuring IUMS leader Youssef Qaradawi and Hamas political leader Khaled Meshaal. According to the announcement:

IUMS hold on Sunday 11 May in Doha, a Seminar on ‘Al-Quds and Al-Aqsa between conspiracy and confrontation’, with the participation of a quorum of Scholars and personalities, the most prominent Eminence Yusuf Al-Qaradawi, dr. Ali Muhiuddin Al-Qurra Daghi, Sheikh Ikrama Sabri, and Mr. Khaled Masha’al.

The Seminar is one of the Union’s contribution in the efforts of civil society organizations, and others in the Arab and Islamic world, to advocate the issues of the Arab and Islamic nation, and a reply to repeated Zionists abuse on Al-Aqsa, Al-Quds, and other religious sanctities, and Judaization attempts of the enemy and normalization by others.

However, NGO’s in the US have provided a somewhat different account of the seminar based on the IUMS Arabic report. According to a translation by the US-based Anti-Defamatiion League (ADL):
In his speech, Qaradawi reiterated his past anti-Semitic remarks glorifying the killing of Jews as part of the Islamic tradition.
According to the IUMS website: “He [Qaradawi] delivered the good news of Muslims’ victory over Jews with evidence from the Qur’an and Sunnah including the saying of the Prophet, peace be upon him, ‘The last hour would not come unless you fight the Jews and the stone, with a Jew behind it, would say: oh Muslim, there is a Jew behind me; come and kill him.’”
Qaradawi also reiterated his opposition to Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, the former general who is poised to be elected as Egypt’s next president following elections that will be held later this month. Qaradawi accused Al-Sisi – who led a coup against The Muslim Brotherhood–affiliated president last year – of being the choice of the Jews
According to IUMS’s website, Qaradawi also noted the “happiness of the Jews” with the Egyptian presidential candidate Abdel Fatah Al-Sisi. He stated, “the Jews consider him their Sisi and not our Sisi.”

Known for his antisemitism, Youssef Qaradawi is the most important leader of the Global Muslim Brotherhood and is the de facto spiritual leader of the movement and also considered to be the “spiritual guide” for Hamas and his fatwas in support of suicide bombings against Israeli citizens were utilized by Hamas to justify their operations.  For a profile of Youssef Qaradawi, go here.
