Muslim Clerics, Seminary Students Not Allowed to Use Expensive Cars: Iran’s Leader Khamenei.

Muslim Clerics, Seminary Students Not Allowed to Use Expensive Cars: Iran’s Leader Khamenei. (IFP).

Addressing a group of his students in Tehran last Sunday, Ayatollah Khamenei cited a hadith to refer to the use of expensive cars by clerics and seminary students as an act of wastefulness.

According to a Farsi report by Ayatollah Khamenei’s official Telegram channel, the Leader had been informed in a letter that some seminary students came to the classes in expensive cars that were worth as much as $52,000.

“Islam has banned wastefulness for all people,” he stated, “Anyone can be wasteful, whether he is rich, average or poor.”

“Islam prohibits wastefulness. The use of these expensive cars is illegitimate,” the Leader said.

Ayatollah Khamenei mentioned that sometimes these expensive cars are used on the pretext of security issues.

“Be aware that our main duties include practicality, piety, discretion, virtue, inquisitiveness, and not pursuing the material lures and superficial luxury.”

Earlier, the Leader had also criticized the officials who used state-owned cars while having a personal one.

“I heard that a cleric and politician had been using a state-owned car despite owning one!”

“I wrote that he didn’t have such a right,” Ayatollah Khamenei added. “In response to my order, they said it was common among the clerics.”

The Leader stressed that the officials who owned personal assets don’t have the right to use state-owned facilities.

“If you own a car, go to the Ministry using the same one! Why do you use the state-owned cars?”

Iran - Interior Min to Announce Final Elections Results on Tuesday, partial results Saturday evening

Iran - Interior Min to Announce Final Elections Results on Tuesday, partial results Saturday evening.(Fars).

Iran's Interior Ministry said the final results of the Friday parliamentary and Assembly of Experts Elections will be declared on Tuesday, although results of final vote counts in smaller towns and cities will be declared on Saturday and Sunday.

Interior Minister Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli told a press conference in Tehran on Saturday that the results of 70% to 80% of polling stations will be announced by Saturday night.

"We will start announcing the (partial) results of the Tehran electorate tonight," he said, but stressed that nationwide vote counting and declaration of the final results will take place on Tuesday as final elections results in Tehran will not end any sooner than Monday.

Ramani Fazli noted that over 60% of all eligible voters took part in the elections, and over 53,000 polling stations were set up for some 54,915,024 eligible people to vote.

According to the interior ministry, a sum of 6,229 candidates were cleared to compete for the 290-seat legislature but 729 of them withdrew from candidacy. More than 5,500 carried out the final registration to run in the race. Candidates from all the three major camps, the Principlists, Moderates and Reformists were present in the race.

The winning candidates of the Assembly of Experts' next term, lasting until 2024, possibly might have to choose the next Supreme Leader of Iran, or at the very least plan for it

Obama's BFF Iran - Senior IRGC Comdr: "In anti-regime protests in Iran 830 suffered rupture of spinal cord

Obama's BFF Iran - Senior IRGC Comdr: "In anti-regime protests in Iran 830 suffered rupture of spinal cord". (NCRI)

A senior commander of Iranian regime’s revolutionary guards disclosed that during the anti-government uprisings in 2009 “over 830 people suffered rupture of the spinal cord”.

General Hossein Hamedani, then commander of IRGC force tasked to crack down on demonstrations in the capital Tehran disclosed this matter on February 7 in an interview with Fars News Agency, the IRGC mouthpiece.

This section of his interview was erased only hours after it was posted by this news agency.
Similarly, Tasnim News Agency, affiliated with the terrorist Qods Force, that also posted the interview, took it down only hours later.

Hamedani did not elaborate on those whose spinal cords had been cut, but during the uprisings a large number of the youth were killed by direct gunshots fired by the IRGC and the paramilitary Basij force.

The number of those killed is estimated anywhere from 100 to 300 with Neda Agha Soltan, the young woman killed by a bullet to her heart, as the symbol of the martyrs of the uprisings.

Reports indicated that hundreds had been injured in the 2009 demonstrations.

At some instances, state security vehicles run over the demonstrators. The video clip of this atrocity shocked Iran.

Statements by this IRGC commander about the rupture of spinal cords of 830 people raised strong loath toward the mullahs in the Iranian society which forced the IRGC spokesman to promptly deny this inadvertent disclosure the next dayHmmm....What a 'Hellhole' ....no wonder Obama loves them.

Iran: Mullahs’ regime acknowledges 3000 homeless women in Tehran sleep in streets.

Iran: Mullahs’ regime acknowledges 3000 women in Tehran sleep in streets.(NCRI).

In a shocking statistics, Rahmatollah Hafezi, an official of Tehran Municipality, acknowledged that there are 3000 women who sleep in the streets just in Tehran alone.

According to Reza Jahangiri, another official of Tehran’s municipality, the average age of these women has declined to 17-18 years. He stated that the reason for the increase in the number of women who sleep in the streets is due to the spread of addiction.

Hafezi, Chair of the Health and Environment Commission in the city council, announced on Friday, November 21, that the number of tramps in Tehran is 15000. This regime official acknowledged that the clerical regime has not provided any shelter for these wretched women.

This is at a time when the cold season has caused harsher conditions for the poor and in the past two weeks people in 14 provinces are living in difficult conditions due to the heavy snow and rain fall (Tasnim News Agency, affiliated with the terrorist Qods Force – November 21).

Meanwhile, Mostafa Fayzi, head of Inspection Organization of Tehran Municipality, confirmed that this municipality uses children to collect the trash. Regime’s News Network TV quoted mullahs’ regime census center that 1.7 million children are working in Iran.

Ms. Sarvnaz Chitsaz, Chair of Women’s Committee of the National Council of Resistance, expressed her abhorrence regarding the wretched condition of women who are victims of the mullahs’ tyranny and said: “This shocking statistics which in reality is far less than the actual numbers, is just a glimpse at the catastrophic condition that the evil rule of the mullahs has imposed on the Iranian people and in particular the defenseless women and children.”

The Iranian women and children have to live such a horrible life while just one of the foundations that belong to the regime’s supreme leader has plundered 95 billion dollars of Iranian peoples’ wealth and while in the power struggle among regime’s officials, greater dimensions of the plunder of the national wealth by various ruling factions is disclosed every day. "Moderate" Iran - 2013: 660 executions, two thirds under Hassan Rouhani.

"Moderate" Iran - 2013: 660 executions, two thirds under Hassan Rouhani.(NCRI).
In 2013, subsistence of Velayat-e faqih regime continued on gallows, group executions in prisons and city streets throughout the country, and torture and tormenting to death of the political prisoners. The ruling mullahs employed at least 60 suppressive organs, including the revolutionary guards, the anti-popular Basij force, plainclothes, variety of intelligence organs to suppressive institutions such as district police, dormitory police, intangible police, metro police, women’s police, etc., and not one day went by without suppression and slaughter.
Some angles of this all encompassing suppression may be recounted as follows:
A. Executions
1. Since the beginning of 2013 till December 31, execution ofat least 660prisoners was registered in Iran with 430 of them executed after the June 14election show. This is while news on many executions never finds its way out of the prisons. Twenty-five of those executed were women.Public execution of two young men of 20 and 23 years old for stealing the equivalent of 35 Euros, execution of three youngsters who were 12, 15 and 17 years old at the time of their arrests, hanging a bleeding 28 year old who a few hours prior to his execution had committed suicide, hanging the body of a 23 year old in Zahedan who had already died a few hours back of a heart attack, hanging of Ms. GeiteiMarami, 34, whose body was bleeding due to 100 lashes she received prior to her execution, emphasizing on the execution of a wretched prisoner who had come alive after his execution in the mortuary, are but a minute segment of mullahs’ regime record replete with crimes in 2013. On December 11, head of regime’s judiciary system Mullah SadeqLarijani called reports by international bodies on degrading condition of human rights in Iran as fabricated and prejudiced and said: “Opposing the death sentence is opposing Islam’s orders.”
2. Meanwhile thousands of prisoners throughout the country are on the death row. As an example, just in GhezelHessar prison, there are 3000 prisoners who are sentenced to death. To facilitate group executions, the clerical regime has put up threeplatforms each capable of concurrently hanging 12 people. In protest to these executions, it is now two months that a number of political prisoners who are sentenced to death have gone on a hunger strike in GhezelHessar. In the last weeks of 2013, several thousand other prisoners went on a 10-day hunger strike.
3. Staging horrific public group executions to intensify atmosphere of terror and fright in the society increased in 2013. Cities such as Noshahr, Babol, Ghemshahr, Tonkabon, Shiraz, Jahrom, Fasa, Ahvaz, Dehdasht, Hendijan, Shahrkord, Ilam and Karaj were witness to these horrific scenes. State-run media published horrific pictures of these executions to deepen the atmosphere of terror and fright. On many occasions, including in Lakan prison in Rasht, prisoners are forced by henchmen to participate in the dreadful scenes of hanging of their co-inmates or friends and those who refuse to participate in this anti-human action are sent to solitary confinement.
B. Execution of political prisoners
4. Execution of political prisoners, especially the ethnic and religious minorities, showed an increase last year. On October 26, sixteenBaluchi political prisoners were collectively hanged in Zahedan prison. Regime’ officials confessed that these people who had been in prison for a long time, were executed in revenge for a number of revolutionary guards killed in Saravan. On that same day, another Baluchi political prisoner in the prison in Hamedan, and two Kurdish political prisoners HabibollahGolparipour, 29, and Reza Esmaeili (Mamedi), 34, in the central prison of Urumia and Salmasrespectively, were hanged. On the next day, a Baluchi political prisoner was executed in Barsilon prison in Khorramabad. On November 3, four Arab prisoners from Shadegan were executed. On November 4, ShirkooMa’arefi, a Kurdish political prisoner was executed in city of Saghez. There is no news on a number of political prisoners who in recent months have been transferred from their cells to unknown locations. Meanwhile, execution of political prisoners as ordinary or narcotic trafficking prisoners is a known routine in the mullahs’ regime. Apprehensive of social tumult, regime has refrained from handing over bodies of political prisoners to their families and secretly buried them.
C. Murder, secretly killing, and tormenting to death of prisoners.
D. Harsh prison conditions.
E. Medieval punishments.
16. Barbaric punishments such as stoning, amputations, blinding, cutting off the ear… help complete the cycle of atrocity and terror in mullahs’ regime. In the past year, four stoning sentences, including two women in city of Tabriz, gouging out of the eye and cutting off the ear of an imprisoned worker in Tehran, and cutting off the hand of eight prisoners in Shiraz, Sari and Abadanwere issued. AssadollahJafari, regime’s deputy of the judiciary, called “carrying out amputation of hand and foot as one of the honors of [mullahs’] judiciary system” (regime’s news agencies – 30 January 2013). Public prosecutor of Shiraz said that amputation of hand is a “serious warning” to all those that “create insecurity”. And regime’s Guardian Council once again reiterated on punishment of stoning in mullahs’ “new penal code” of 2013 (Spokesman for Majlis Judiciary Commission –21 January 2013).
F. Murdering people, especially in border areas.
G. Arbitrary detentions.
I. Suppression of freedom of expression.
J. Rigorous suppression of cyber space.Read the full report here.

"CHANGE" A New Dictator Takes Iraq to the Brink!

"CHANGE" A New Dictator Takes Iraq to the Brink! (NCRI).By: Struan Stevenson, President of the European Parliament’s Delegation for Relations with Iraq.

The violent arrest in Iraq of a leading Sunni MP – Ahmed al-Alwani – marks yet another step in that country’s rapid descent into sectarian anarchy and civil war. Alwani is chairman of the Iraqi parliament’s important Economics Committee. More significantly, he is also a leading critic of Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki and an arch opponent of the spread of Iranian influence in Iraq.

He led recent demonstrations in Ramadi against the sectarian oppression of the Shiite-led government and wrote to the EU’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs – Catherine Ashton – bewailing Iraq’s appalling human rights record, citing the massacre of defenceless Iranian dissidents in a refugee camp near Baghdad as evidence of Maliki’s malign rule.

The almost inevitable reaction from the increasingly despotic prime minister was a trumped-up charge of terrorism against Alwani and a large contingent of heavily armed troops, with 50 armoured vehicles and a military helicopter were sent to arrest him at his home in a village in Anbar Province, at dawn on Saturday 28th December.

The ensuing carnage saw Alwani’s brother and 8 other family members and bodyguards shot dead and the MP himself dragged off to a prison in Baghdad.

Alwani’s immunity from prosecution as an Iraqi MP was conveniently ignored by Maliki, who says charges of terrorism override any such constitutional niceties. This is becoming routine for the Iraqi prime minister.

Almost exactly a year ago, Iraq’s Sunni finance minister - Rafie al-Issawi – had his home and offices raided by security forces. 150 of his bodyguards and staff were arrested on charges of terrorism, setting off widespread protests and demonstrations in the six predominantly Sunni provinces throughout the country.

This event followed the attempted arrest of Iraq’s Vice President Tariq al-Hashemi, the day after U.S. troops pulled out of Iraq on 19th December 2011. Hashemi, the most senior Sunni in the Iraqi government, was also a fierce critic of Maliki and an opponent of Iranian meddling in Iraq. His 13 bodyguards were arrested, tortured and sentenced to death. Hashemi himself has been sentenced to death in absentia no fewer than five times and now lives in exile in Turkey.

The crackdown on leading Sunni politicians by the overtly Shia prime minister seems to follow a clear pattern. Each time Maliki visits Tehran he receives instructions from his puppet-master Ayatollah Khamenei. This always involves ordering the arrest of another Sunni political leader when he returns to Baghdad.

He also almost invariably initiates a military assault on the 3,000 Mujahedeen-e-Khalq (MEK or PMOI) refugees, held in a prison-like camp near Baghdad. The MEK are feared and loathed by the Iranian regime as their main political opponents and the mullahs repeatedly demand action from the Iraqi PM to annihilate them.

So far the resulting bloody assaults by Iraqi forces have led to over 130 deaths of these defenceless men and women, in repeated armed massacres and rocket attacks. Seven hostages, including six women, were abducted by Iraqi SWAT teams on 1st September and are still being held in secret locations in Baghdad. One of the hostages was killed in Iraqi custody, Iranian media reported last week. The US, EU and UN who signed over protection of these people to Iraq, refuse to intervene.

The most recent attack on the MEK took place December 27th only days after Maliki returned from a visit to Tehran. Three refugees were killed and 71 wounded as a barrage of dozens of Katyusha rockets and ground-to-ground missiles rained down on Camp Liberty, near Baghdad airport. Iraqi government has meanwhile prevented the 3,000 MEK refugees from taking delivery of their hard hats and armoured vests, which were left behind in their previous home, Camp Ashraf.

More than 17,500 protective concrete T-walls were deliberately dismantled by Iraqi forces, to ensure the 3,000 refugees are sitting-ducks for future bloody assaults.

Ominously and clearly also acting on instructions from Tehran, Maliki has allowed the free-flow of Iranian and Hezbollah military personnel and equipment through Iraq to bolster the dictatorship of Bashir al-Assad in neighbouring Syria.

The payback for Maliki’s slavish submission to the mullahs’ demands will be Iranian support for his re-election to a third term as Iraq’s prime minister. Elections are due on 30th April, although the increasing insurgency, sectarian conflict, abuse of human rights, corruption, torture, secret prisons and mass executions point to Maliki’s defeat, unless, as is more than likely, he and his Iranian allies orchestrate massive electoral fraud. The West, meanwhile, which stupidly supported Maliki, stands impotently on the sidelines as Iraq spirals towards civil war.

It is time the U.S., EU and UN re-discovers its collective backbone. They have lamely spawned a new dictatorship in Iraq and are wringing their hands in frustration as that country becomes a failed state, with Iran poised to be the sole beneficiary.

Struan Stevenson is a Conservative Euro MP from Scotland and president of the European Parliament’s Delegation for Relations with Iraq.

Video - Rep Congressman Says U.S. Should Use Nuclear Weapons If It Attacks Iran.

Rep Congressman Says U.S. Should Use Nuclear Weapons If It Attacks Iran. When asked if he thinks war is inevitable with Iran, Hunter said, “I sure hope not,” but said if it happens, the U.S. better go big:

HUNTER: I think a ground war in Iran with American boots on the ground would be a horrible thing and I think people like to toss around the fact that we have to stop them in some way from gaining this nuclear capability. I don’t think it’s inevitable but I think if you have to hit Iran, you don’t put boots on the ground, you do it with tactical nuclear devices and you set them back a decade or two or three. I think that’s the way to do it with a massive aerial bombardment campaign.

Hunter — a veteran of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan — explained that the U.S. experience in those countries have shaped his view. “I think America now knows its limitations in that area and what we can do and do we want to spend 20 years there after we tear it down to build it back up again so that it isn’t run by a crazy tyrannical leader like has happened in, let’s say Iraq and Afghanistan,” he said. Hmmm.....Patton, Rommel and Churchill would have loved this guy.

"Pour les vaincre, messieurs, il nous faut de l'audace, encore de l'audace, et toujours de l'audace et la Patrie sera sauvée!" ~ Danton.

Iran's Khamenei controls vast financial empire worth some $95 billion.

Iran's Khamenei controls vast financial empire worth some $95 billion.(Jpost).
Iran's supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei controls a business empire worth around $95 billion - a sum exceeding the value of his oil-rich nation's current annual petroleum exports - a six-month Reuters investigation shows.
The little-known organization, called Setad, is one of the keys to the Iranian leader's enduring power and now holds stakes in nearly every sector of Iranian industry, including finance, oil, telecommunications, the production of birth-control pills and even ostrich farming.

Setad has built its empire on the systematic seizure of thousands of properties belonging to ordinary Iranians - members of religious minorities, Shi'ite Muslims, business people and Iranians living abroad.
The Reuters investigation, which is detailed in a three-part series, documents how Setad has amassed a giant portfolio of real estate by claiming in Iranian courts, sometimes falsely, that the properties are abandoned. The organization now holds a court-ordered monopoly on taking property in the name of the supreme leader, and regularly sells the seized properties at auction or seeks to extract payments from the original owners.
Reuters reporters identified nearly 300 properties that Setad put up for auction in May alone, many worth millions of dollars.

The organization's full name in Persian is "Setad Ejraiye Farmane Hazrate Emam" - Headquarters for Executing the Order of the Imam. The name refers to an edict signed by the Islamic Republic's first leader, Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, shortly before his death in 1989. His order spawned an entity intended to manage and sell properties abandoned in the chaotic years after the 1979 Islamic Revolution.

According to one of its co-founders, Setad was created to help the poor and war veterans and was meant to exist for just two years.
Almost a quarter-century on, Setad has morphed into a business juggernaut with real estate, corporate stakes and other assets. While Setad controls a charitable foundation, it's not clear how much money goes to charity.
Under Khamenei, the organization has expanded its corporate holdings, buying stakes in dozens of Iranian companies, both private and public, with the stated goal of creating an Iranian conglomerate to boost the country's economic growth.

In June, the US Treasury Department imposed sanctions on Setad and some of its corporate holdings, calling the organization "a massive network of front companies hiding assets on behalf of ... Iran's leadership."

The Iranian president's office and the foreign ministry did not respond to requests for comment for the series. Iran's embassy in the United Arab Emirates called Reuters' findings "scattered and disparate" and said that "none has any basis" but did not elaborate.

Setad's director general of public relations, Hamid Vaezi, said by email in response to a detailed description of this series that the information presented is "far from realities and is not correct." He did not go into specifics.

In a subsequent message, he said Setad disputes the Treasury's allegations and is "in the process of retaining US counsel to address this matter." He added: "This communication puts you on notice that any action by your organization could prejudice our dispute in the United States and harm our position for which we hold you responsible."

Setad's total worth is difficult to pinpoint because of the secrecy of its accounts. Reuters estimates it at around $95 billion, made up of about $52 billion in real estate and $43 billion in corporate holdings. The estimate is based on an analysis of statements by Setad officials, data from the Tehran Stock Exchange and company websites, and information from the US Treasury Department. The amount is roughly 40 percent bigger than Iran's total oil exports last year, which totaled $67.4 billion, according to the International Monetary Fund.
There is no evidence that Khamenei is tapping Setad to enrich himself. But Setad has empowered him. Through Setad, Khamenei has at his disposal financial resources whose value rivals the holdings of the shah, the Western-backed monarch who was overthrown in 1979.
