Citizens’ rights charter of Iran, currently being developed, will boost the country’s negotiation power as it is going to sit for human rights talks with the European Union, Elham Aminzadeh, President Hassan Rouhani’s assistant on citizenship rights, said.

“This is because the charter is very comprehensive and includes diverse topics, even the rights of foreign nationals in Iran and Iranian nationals overseas,” she told Trend November 6.

The charter will be published in a matter of days, according to Aminzadeh.

Iran and the EU will sit together in Brussels on November 9 for the first time since the conclusion of the nuclear deal to exchange ideas on human rights, one major sticking point in bilateral ties.


The human rights debate has increasingly emerged as an important component for stronger ties between the two sides. Hmmm.....Apparently the EU parliamentarians have no clue at all that in Islamic countries human rights are subjected to shariah law. Read the full story here.

İzmir police on Tuesday raided an underground manufacturer in the Konak district and seized a total of 1,263 fake life jackets that were produced with low-quality materials. Two young Syrian underage girls were found among the four employees working .

Employing Syrians has become commonplace in Turkey in the recent past as the growing population of refugees in the country provide a low-cost labor force for businesses.

Even though the government previously declared an intention to issue work permits for Syrians, they are now mostly employed illegally and paid less than Turkish citizens for identical positions.

The life jackets seized in the raid included counterfeits of renowned brands padded with insulating materials, suitcase fabric and low-quality sponges used to make the life jackets look thick and safe.

The raid came on the same day that Turkish authorities found the bodies of 34 migrants, at least three of whom were children, washed up on the coast of İzmir and Balıkesir provinces after they had apparently drowned while trying to cross to the Greek island of Lesbos.

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) puts the number of migrants who have died while trying to cross the Mediterranean Sea to Europe in 2015 at 3,771. Experts argue that fake life jackets selling at low prices are the primary reason for the high number of deaths at sea. Hmmmm......When will the EU take measures against these Turkish 'slavery' practices,  refugee exploitation and unfair economic practices? Yes it's easier to label Jewish products but one law for All!

Turkey is interested in supplying energy from Iraq to European markets, Turkish Deputy Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Sefa Sadik Aytekin told Trend.

He said Ankara is greatly interested in Iraq’s gas being supplied via the Turkish gas infrastructure, although at present, there is no pipeline between Iraq and Turkey.

“Ankara and Baghdad will begin its construction, as soon as they agree on the supply of Iraqi gas via Turkey to the European markets,” he said.

Earlier, it was reported that the construction of a gas pipeline between Turkey and Iraq will start in 2016. Its capacity will be 30 billion cubic meters.

He said that if the additional gas supply from Iraq exceeds 30 billion cubic meters, Turkey will be able to transport these volumes to the European markets.

Tehran is considering several gas delivery routes to Europe after Western sanctions on the country are lifted.

“Iran is considering several routes to deliver gas to Europe, possibly around five or six routes,” (Read Turkey)Azizollah Ramezani, head of the National Iranian Gas Company’s liaison office told RIA Novosti news agency on Wednesday.

According to the official, the routes could go via Turkey, the Black Sea, Iraq, Syria, and the Mediterranean Sea.

“But these routes need to be studied according to norms, and [we need to] study the economic cost efficiency to choose the best route. The study has started because research may be carried out at any time regardless of sanctions, but this depends on the client: Europe. Europe is expecting sanctions to be lifted and then they will start negotiations, and after that they can sign an agreement with Iran,” Ramezani said.

The Iranian official said the country may use the Turkish Stream gas pipeline currently being developed by Russia, although this has not yet been discussed.

“This is possible. There haven’t been any negotiations on this yet, but it could be a good idea to begin talks because this point, where the Russian pipeline and the Turkish pipeline go to Europe, may also be a point where Iranian gas pipelines may be reached by Europe,” Ramezani said, speaking on the sidelines of a gas congress in Paris. Hmmmm....As i said before EU parliamentarians would sell their whole family for cheap gas, Human rights....never heard of, now you know why Erdogan can do whatevah he wants.
