In an audio message released by al Qaeda website, which it claimed to be from Osama’s son, Hamza called upon followers in Kabul, Baghdad and Gaza to wage war on Washington, London, Paris and Tel Aviv.

This is the first time the militant group has presented Hamza as an official member of al Qaeda.

Hamza’s whereabouts are not known.

During the US-led invasion of Afghanistan in 2001, the Al-Jazeera network broadcast footage that appeared to show him among Taliban fighters in Afghanistan.

Since Osama Bin Laden was killed in a raid on his compound in Abbotabad in 2011, Ayman al-Zawahiri has been leading the group.

According to documents confiscated from bin Ladens’ Abbottabad hideout by US forces, and released earlier this year, the al Qaeda supremo wanted to nurture Hamza as his successor in the group.

Hamza was due to travel to Abbottabad to join his father when US forces raided the hideout. Hmmmm.....At the time of the raid and killing of Osama Bin Laden it was first claimed Hamza was wounded and taken by the Seals, then later it was claimed he escaped....i was wondering since then where he went.

The 22-year-old would-be-jihadist wrote to his reclusive father to say he was itching to join the fight. Hamza trained with explosives and embraced the terror network that killed 3,000 Americans in the September 11, 2001 attacks.

But young Hamza was no run-of-the-mill jihadist recruit. He was the favorite son of 9/11 mastermind Osama bin Laden, who was grooming him to take over as Al-Qaida's leader, according to U.S. intelligence officials.

More than 100 newly declassified documents were provided to AFP by the Central Intelligence Agency, including two letters to Bin Laden from his son and one from Hamza's mother imploring that he follow in his "father's footsteps."

They included Al-Qaida correspondence noting the eagerness of Hamza, believed to have engaged in terror raids when he was a teen and propaganda videos at a younger age, to return to his father's inner circle.

The documents are part of a trove of thousands seized during the deadly 2011 U.S. Navy SEAL raid on Bin Laden's hideout.

They shed light on inner workings of the terror network and the debate over its future in light of the security noose tightening around bin Laden and the compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan where he met his fate.

Speculation still swirls about where Hamza, dubbed the "crown prince of terror" by a British MP, was on the night his father died, and no proof has emerged that he was at the compound.

He has not appeared publicly or made any public video statements in years, and his whereabouts remain a mystery, senior U.S. intelligence officials said.

But the documents depict a son describing himself as "forged in steel," ready to join his father on a journey to "victory or martyrdom," and a concerted effort by Al-Qaida to smuggle the young man to his father's hideout.

"What truly makes me sad is the mujahidin legions have marched and I have not joined them," Hamza wrote bin Laden in an eloquent letter in July 2009, when the son was under house arrest in Iran, according to an English translation provided by the CIA.

"I dread spending the rest of my young adulthood behind iron bars," he added.

"My beloved father, I announce to you that I and everyone, God be praised, are following on the same path, the path of jihad."

It was not possible to independently verify the origin of the documents or the accuracy of the CIA translation.

Officials said the seized documents showed the "enormous toll" counter-terrorism operations had on Al-Qaida, including its inability to replace leaders it had lost.

"Bin Laden at the time of his death had recognized this peril and planned to bring his son Hamza to his Abbottabad compound to groom him as a successor," a senior intelligence analyst told AFP.

Hamza had not seen his fugitive father in eight years, and described the "pain of separation" he felt at age 13 and his hopes of a reunion as a young man of 22.

"You bid us farewell and we left, and it was as if we pulled out our livers and left them there," he wrote.

After Hamza's release from house arrest, top Al-Qaida lieutenant Atiyah Abd al-Rahman wrote to bin Laden on April 5, 2011, one month before his death, detailing three possible ways to shepherd Hamza to his father.

The "least dangerous option" was sending him through Pakistan's Baluchistan province, which borders Iran, to the teeming port city of Karachi, Abd al-Rahman said, writing under the pseudonym Mahmud.

Meanwhile, Abd al-Rahman arranged for Hamza "to attend a course on explosives," he wrote.

As the plan emerged, Hamza's brother Khalid wrote to say Hamza should use a fake ID and driver's license to safely navigate Baluchistan.

Abd al-Rahman wrote Bin Laden promising to train Hamza in firing various weapons, adding that the young man was "very sweet and good." Hmmmm......'Boston Bombing'

A mysterious jihadi who left her home in Canada in late November to join ISIS has toured the caliphate like a VIP, appearing in key locations throughout Syria and Iraq and prompting intell analysts to wonder what is behind her seemingly elevated status.

Little is known about the woman who calls herself “Lama Sharif al-Shammari” on Twitter and who terrorism experts simply call “L.A.” They believe she left Canada some time after Nov. 23 to join Islamic State, arrived on Dec. 8 and was in Syria as recently as Tuesday. Analysts believe she may be a Sunni Muslim of Saudi descent.

But what sets “L.A.” apart from thousands of radicalized foreigners who have flocked from North America and Europe to the terrorist army’s killing fields is that her Twitter account shows she has been to virtually every corner of Islamic State’s bloody realm within a three-week period, according to analysts. They believe her whirlwind itinerary indicates she is somehow significant and has risen inexplicably through the ranks.

L.A. – or “Toronto Jane” as she has also been dubbed by Khan’s group - has been to at least five cities within the vast territory controlled by Islamic State, leaving tracks in strongholds like Raqqa, Syria, as well as appearing in Kobani, where the terror group fought its most ferocious battles with Kurdish forces supported by U.S. airstrikes. She has also turned up in the Syrian cities of Dier ez Zur and Aleppo and in Mosul, Iraq.

“It is not merely the amount and location, but also the time frame — she has been very active in what essentially adds up to three weeks,” Khan said.

Tweets sent by L.A. reveal a committed radical enthusiastically promoting Islamic State's signature atrocity - beheadings. While FoxNews.com will not link to L.A.’s Twitter feed, her banner is an image of a severed head, taken from an infamous ISIS propaganda video in which an Islamic State leader orchestrates an unprecedented simultaneous beheadings of 22 people.

Based on an analysis of her tweets, Smith believes L.A. is aSaudi Arabian whose family is from the Al-Shamry tribe, and that she harbors "extreme hatred" for the Saudi royal family for allowing the U.S. military on Saudi soil during the Iraq War.

Her posts were first noted by the Ontario-based intelligence research company iBRABO, which worked with TRAC while monitoring her cell phone location matching it up with corresponding tweets. The firm claims it has pinpointed her recent presence in Kobani and Mosul down to specific homes.

“She had interactions with key players known in the region," Khan said. "Plus there is no way to fake the location services pinging from the actual phone.If you look at her locations outside of Kobani and Mosul — they were all strongholds we can pinpoint down to the actual house on the street.” According to Ryan Mauro, national security analyst for the Clarion Project, L.A.'s new prominence could even help Islamic State lure more women to Syria and Iraq, he said.

“These men are interested in having ‘wives’ come to the so-called caliphate to live with them,” Mauro said. He said promotion of women like L.A. could be a deliberate effort by Islamic State to change its image.

“Islamic State wants to redefine feminism by characterizing Western society as oppressive towards women," he said. "They choose to highlight women to show that their ideology treats women fairly as equals in jihad.” Hmmm.....Unless 'Jane' turns out to be 'JAKE'! Read the full story here.here

Judicial Watch Uncovers Email Revealing Top Pentagon Leader Ordered Destruction of bin Laden Death Photos

(Washington, DC) – Judicial Watch announced today that on January 31, 2014, it received documents from the Department of Defense (Pentagon) revealing that within hours of its filing a May 13, 2011, Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit seeking photos of the deceased Osama bin Laden, U.S. Special Operations Commander, Admiral William McRaven ordered his subordinates to “destroy” any photos they may have had “immediately.” 

Judicial Watch had filed a FOIA request for the photos 11 days earlier.

The McRaven email, addressed to “Gentlemen,” instructs:

One particular item that I want to emphasize is photos; particularly UBLs remains. At this point – all photos should have been turned over to the CIA; if you still have them destroy them immediately or get them to the [redacted]. 

According to the Pentagon documents, McRaven sent his email on “Friday, May 13, 2011 5:09 PM.”  The documents do not detail what documents, if any, were destroyed in response to the McRaven directive. The Judicial Watch FOIA lawsuit seeking the documents was filed in the United States Court for the District of Columbia only hours earlier. Judicial Watch also announced the filing at a morning press conference.

The move by McRaven to purge the photos appears to have come, at least in part, in response to aggressive efforts by Judicial Watch to obtain images of the deceased bin Laden that President Obama, in a rewrite of federal open records law, had refused to disclose.

“The McRaven ‘destroy them immediately’ email is a smoking gun, revealing both contempt for the rule of law and the American’s people right to know,” said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton. “The Obama administration has tried to cover this scandal up – and our lawsuit exposed it.  We demand further investigation of the effort to destroy documents about the bin Laden raid.”Read the full story here.

The controversy surrounding the death of Osama Bin Laden returned to the spotlight in the Middle East following a recent claim that the infamous former al-Qaeda leader is still alive.

Although news broke of his untimely end at the hands of a raid by elite U.S. special forces in Pakistan’s northern city of Abbottabad in May 2011, no physical evidence constituting Bin Laden’s “proof of death” has surfaced.

Photographs of his body – despite requests from news outlets – have never been released, with a judge saying that the U.S. Department of Defense was not required to release any evidence of the death to the public.

On Sunday, a Kuwaiti academic said in an interview with a Saudi-owned news channel that Bin Laden was abducted, rather than killed by U.S. forces.

Abdullah al-Nafeesi, a former Kuwaiti deputy and political science professor in Kuwait University, said that the U.S. lied about Bin Laden’s killing.

‘Still alive’

“I doubt that Sheikh Osama has been killed. I believe that he was kidnapped and is still alive,” said Nafeesi in an interview with Saudi-based Rotana Khaleejia TV.

“It does not make sense that a big power like the U.S. searches for a man for 11 years and when it finds him, it just shoots him,” he added.

Washington lied about Bin Laden’s death in order to keep him alive to “concentrate on studying his character and how he created the al-Qaeda group,” according to Nafeesi.

However, his claims have been dismissed by analysts as having “no basis in fact.”

There is “not a chance,” that bin Laden was not killed during the operation, David Mack, a scholar at the Washington-based Middle East Institute think tank and former U.S. ambassador told Al Arabiya News.

Leaked

If Bin Laden had been abducted and held by U.S. forces as Nafeesi claimed, the news would have quickly spread, according to Mack.

“If he had survived and were still a U.S. prisoner that information would have quickly leaked throughout the U.S. government and, eventually, into the public sphere,” he said.

That Bin Laden’s body was buried untraceably at sea – as Washington stated – leaves the suspicion open that the since no corpse was produced, he was alive and in custody, said Ed Blanche, a Beirut-based insurgency and counter-terrorism analyst.

However, the notion of Bin Laden’s abduction is “far-fetched,” due to their being “no value in keeping him alive in secret,” Blanche added.

“I suppose that could conceivably leave the suspicion open that since no body was actually produced, that the man himself was still alive and in custody,” he said.

Spontaneous decision

But why was Bin Laden killed rather than captured?

The decision to kill Bin Laden was likely to be spontaneous, Michael Ryan, author of “Decoding al-Qaeda’s Strategy: The Deep Battle Against America” told Al Arabiya News.

The decision was made on the ground by the soldiers based on circumstances at the time,” said Ryan.

The danger and risk involved on the mission may have led the special forces to make the fateful decision, the al-Qaeda expert said.

Logical case

“If the order was capture first but kill if you need to… one can make a very logical case that the operators on the ground made the logical choice in light of having just lost a helicopter and wanting to make sure that this mission was accomplished,” he added.

“If anything else happened, I believe we would have some third party evidence by now.”

While the possibility of Bin Laden being in U.S. custody has “no basis in fact,” the circumstances of his death remain mysterious, said Matthew Aid, a Washington, DC-based intelligence historian and expert.

“There is still a vast amount of information about the Bin Laden raid that remains classified, so who really knows what is truth and what is not in this day and age,” said Aid.

Nasser Al-Bahri: Since the commander-in-chief [Sayf Al-Adl] returned to Afghanistan, I expect something to happen in the next couple of years. There will be large-scale targets.

Interviewer: What kind of thing? An attack?

Nasser Al-Bahri: Of course, attacks. I expect great strikes against the US and the Western coalition in the near future, because many of the people...

Interviewer: Where do you think Sayf Al-Adl is right now?

Nasser Al-Bahri: If he is as sensible as he used to be, he will not leave Afghanistan. People like Sayf Al-Adl do not leave Afghanistan.

Interviewer: It is said that he was in Iran.

Nasser Al-Bahri: He was among the people detained in Iran. After 9/11 and the [war] in Afghanistan, many people fled to Pakistan and Iran. Those who fled to Pakistan were either killed or turned in to the Americans. Those who fled to Iran were detained in compounds for a long time.

Interviewer: Including Bin Laden's family...

Nasser Al-Bahri: Right. Brother Sayf Al-Adl has good connections with the Iranian Revolutionary Guards. I expect that he and others who were there received special treatment, until they returned to Afghanistan. After that...

Interviewer: Some analysts say that Iran may have timed Sayf Al-Adl's release from house arrest, and allowed him to leave Iran, in order to carry out attacks.

Nasser Al-Bahri: Not only in order to carry out attacks...

Interviewer: Do you believe that there is coordination between Al-Qaeda and Iran?

The alleged al-Qaeda militant was caught crossing through the Olympic Park five times, breaking a ban imposed by the Home Secretary, The Sunday Telegraph has learned. The 24 year-old has previously tried to get to Afghanistan, allegedly for terrorist training, and is suspected of fighting for the Somali Islamist group al Shabaab, which has been responsible for thousands of deaths, including those of Western aid workers.
He is accused of trying to recruit other Britons to its cause. A Home Office lawyer warned after his discovery in the Olympic area that the man - known as CF - wanted to “re-engage in terrorism-related activities, either in the UK or Somalia” and is “determined to continue to adhere to his Islamist extremist agenda”. His detention is the most serious security alert yet to hit the Olympic Park. It is disclosed today after a week which saw 14 terror-related arrests across Britain, including a white Muslim convert detained over an alleged plan to carry out a major terrorist attack. The Olympic Park in Stratford, east London, will be protected by the largest peacetime security operation ever seen in Britain when the event begins on July 27. CF is one of nine suspected risks to national security who are subject to Terrorism Prevention and Investigation Measures (Tpim) - legal orders which restrict their movements and computer use and who they can meet. They were introduced to replace control orders, which were abolished by the Coalition after long-running controversy over whether they breached human rights and threatened civil liberties. CF is being prosecuted for breaking the conditions of his order after he was arrested last month and held in police custody. He challenges the banning order at the High Court on Monday. He is charged with five separate breaches between April and May of an order specifically banning him from using the London Overground rail route which passes through the centre of the Olympic Park. He apparently travelled from Caledonian Road and Barnsbury station in north London to Stratford, the station for the Games. Stratford station is beside the Westfield shopping centre which people will go through to get into the Olympic Park, where most of the events are to be held. The area is heavily protected and regarded by security services and police as among the most significant targets for terrorists. His presence in the banned zone was discovered because of an electronic tag which he must wear under the conditions of his order, which banned travelling on the route he took or being in the vicinity of the Games. The tag uses GPS satellite technology to trace his exact movements, and revealed he had passed through the Olympic Park repeatedly. The latest security scare came to light in a court case involving CF and another terror suspect, known as CC. Theresa May, the Home Secretary, has compiled a case against CF which says he attempted to travel to Afghanistan to fight jihad and take part in suicide operations in 2008. He was prosecuted in Britain but absconded during his trial in June 2009 and fled to Somalia. In his absence he was acquitted of any crime. Officials claim CF, who comes from a large family of Somali origin from north London, attended a terrorist training camp and fought alongside jihadis from the al-Qaeda group al-Shabaab. The Home Office says CF is linked to a group of six British nationals who received terror training from al-Qaeda leader Saleh Nabhan, who was killed in a dramatic raid by American Navy Seals in 2009, an operation with parallels to the raid last year which killed Osama bin Laden.Hmmmmm........Once again the name Hamza Bin Laden a.k.a. Washington has stepped up its drone attacks in Yemen since President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi took office in February, and the Pentagon said this week it had recently resumed sending military trainers into the Gulf Arab country. In a brief statement, the U.S. embassy in Yemen said Brennan had "conveyed President Obama's strong commitment to support Yemen as it continues to implement its political agreement and prepares for a comprehensive national dialogue".Brennan's visit comes amid increasing attacks on officials and foreign diplomats as Yemen tries to wrest back control of its restive south from Islamist rebels. Masked militants armed with assault rifles handed out copies of the pamphlet from pick-up vehicles in Miranshah, the main town of the tribal district that has become known as Pakistan’s premier al-Qaeda and Taliban hub. “Let us pledge today that we will continue our jihad (holy war) and sacrifice our lives and property in the way of Allah like Sheikh Osama did,” it said, unsigned and dated May 2, the anniversary of the al-Qaeda leader’s killing by U.S. troops. “Today, a year since Sheikh Osama bin Laden embraced martyrdom, the enemy America is repenting. It is facing defeat and Pakistan’s future is also bleak,” it said. The pamphlet distribution followed two days of rare fighting between troops and Islamist militants in Miranshah that killed 19 soldiers and civilians, officials said. Gunbattles in North Waziristan are relatively rare because of an agreement between insurgents and the military not to attack each other. Pakistan has resisted U.S. pressure to conduct a major offensive in the district, saying it is too overstretched fighting homegrown insurgents elsewhere in the tribal belt. Bin Laden was killed on May 2 2011 in a secret U.S. Navy SEAL operation in a walled-off compound in the Pakistani garrison town of Abbottabad. LAHORE: Osama bin Ladenís elder son, Hamzah bin Laden, who is described by the US intelligence community as the crown prince of terror, being the most militant son of the slain al-Qaeda chief, was possibly living at a safe house in Peshawar when his father was hunted down and shot dead by the US Navy SEALs at his Abbottabad hideout on May 2, 2011.

Well placed diplomatic circles in Islamabad say the American intelligence community has been looking into Hamzah bin Laden hís possible presence in Peshawar since the May 2 raid last year during which the US Navy SEALs took a trove of documents from bin Ladenís Abbottabad compound.

The Americans have already made public some select letters to and from bin Laden dated between 2006 and 2011 which were recovered from his hideout and which give a partial view of what the al-Qaeda leadership was thinking and plotting during its years on the run. According to one such letter, feeling concerned about the security measures for his elder son Hamzah bin Laden, Osama had asked a senior military commander of al-Qaeda to facilitate the establishment of a safe house in Peshawar for Hamzah.

Born in Saudi Arabia in 1989, Hamzah is the son of Khairiah Sabar, one of bin Ladenís three wives who were living in the Abbottabad compound at the time of his killing. Hamzah is said to be the spitting image of his father; in jihadi videos, the similarities in their facial features are accented by the camouflage vest, white turban, and automatic rifle he sports, so that he resembles a scaled-down, baby-faced version of the al-Qaeda chief. 
Suspecting that Hamzah and his mother were under watch, Osama had directed Atiyah Abd al-Rahman, a senior al-Qaeda commander [who had been operating from the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (Fata) of Pakistan at that time] that the security of his son and wife should be given extra care. Bin Laden apparently felt that Peshawar was safe enough to hide one of his favorite sons who was reportedly being groomed as the future ameer of al-Qaeda. As per the letter dated October 21, 2010, bin Laden had advised his chief of staff, Atiyah Abd al-Rahman, to relocate his fighters from Waziristan to Afghanistan. He had then asked Atiyah to facilitate the establishment of a safe house in Peshawar for his son, Hamzah bin Laden. The letter, which shows that Osama was much concerned about security precautions for Hamzah, also expressed distrust for Pakistanís premier spy agency ñ the Inter Services Intelligence (ISI).

Osama wrote in his letter to Atiyah (who was eventually killed in a US drone attack in Pakistan on August 22, 2011): ìn your letter, you talked about your relationship with Abu-Salman al-Baluchi. In September 2007, it was reported that Hamzah was again seen in the tribal belt that encompasses the Pak-Afghan border region, playing a major role with al-Qaeda forces. In July 2008, yet another video featuring Hamzah was posted on an al-Qaeda-linked website to mark the third anniversary of the July 7, 2005, London bombings, calling for the destruction of the United States and United Kingdom. And last but not the least, the slain chairperson of the PPP Ms Benazir Bhutto had named him as the leader of one of a number of gangs plotting to kill her. In a posthumous autobiography, Bhutto had stated that she believed Hamzah was plotting her assassination. Hamza, who was born in Saudi Arabia in 1989, is perhaps the most militant scion of Osama’s family. Hmmmm........Saudi Arabia says it has ‘no suspicions’ about the Bin Ladens.(AA).A Saudi spokesman said late on Saturday that his government has no suspicions about relatives of slain Al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden who were deported from Pakistan last week, breaking an official news blackout over their admission to the kingdom.“Saudi Arabia acted out of humanitarian considerations... in so far as there are no reports or evidence of any implication in criminal or illegal acts,” the official Saudi Press Agency quoted the spokesman as saying.“At the request of the Bin Laden family in Saudi Arabia, steps were taken to facilitate the return of members of Osama bin Laden’s family, who arrived on Thursday night in Jeddah where they were welcomed by their relatives,” the spokesman added.
“It is inappropriate to discuss in any way the details of the private life of the Bin Laden family in Saudi Arabia.”Earlier on Saturday, a Saudi-owned daily reported that the authorities had allowed Bin Laden’s three widows and their children entrance into the kingdom on humanitarian grounds.

Citing a senior Saudi official, the London-based Asharq al-Awsat said the kingdom “dealt with bin Laden’s wives on humanitarian grounds,” adding that the authorities were confident that they and the children “were not involved in” the operations of the extremist group.

Yemen wife of bin Laden will stay in Saudi Arabia with her wealthy in-laws.(BM).SANA’A: Pakistani authorities have announced Osama bin Laden’s widows were free to return home, after having being imprisoned for entering the country illegally. News has surfaced that Amal Ahmed Abdel-Fatah al-Sadah, the late al-Qaeda’s leader Yemeni wife, has decided to return to Saudi Arabia rather than Yemen – as her in-laws there offered to take care of her and her five children.
The young woman, who originally announced she would return to Yemen, changed her mind – preferring to accept her wealthy in-laws’ offer, and enjoy a life of privilege.
The bin Ladens, who are of Yemeni ancestry, are one of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s most prominent families with billions of dollars.
Amal’s brother, who took care of his sister’s legal defense and contacted the Yemeni authorities, seeking their assistance in regard to her release and that of her children, said Amal was concerned for her children’ safety in Yemen, where anonymity would be difficult to maintain.

Bin Laden's three widows and their children were detained by the Pakistani authorities after the Saudi was killed in an operation in the garrison town of Abbottabad, north of Islamabad, last May. The news came as Washington and Islamabad try to patch up their relationship, which was badly damaged by the revelation that the world's most wanted man was living a stone's throw from Pakistan's elite military academy. Two weeks ago a court sentenced the widows and two of bin Laden's older daughters to 45 days' detention on charges of illegal entry and residency in Pakistan and ordered their deportation as soon as possible. They are due to complete the sentence, served in an Islamabad villa designated by authorities as a "sub-jail", on Tuesday, as it officially began when they were formally arrested on the charges on March 3. "They will go tonight or tomorrow early in the morning. After 12 tonight they can be deported any time," their lawyer Muhammad Aamir told AFP on Tuesday.Aamir said the family – who number 12, including bin Laden's three widows, eight children and one grandchild – would probably initially go to Saudi Arabia. He said bin Laden's youngest and reportedly favourite wife, Amal Abdulfattah, who is Yemeni, may be sent to Yemen afterwards with her five children.
