Video - Terrorists Plant Explosive Device On UN Monitors Vehicle And Film It For Propanganda As A Government Missile Attack.

LIVELEAK: Members of the ‘Free Syrian Army’ crowd around the bonnet UN monitor vehicle, and an explosive device is planted on the bonnet and explodes. The event is captured on camera by an operative placed a safe distance away in the area of Khan Sheikhun, Idlib province. No one was hurt by the explosion. The terrorists claim that this was a missile attack by the Syrian army on the UN convoy. The videos clearly contradict the blatant lie. The second video is damning and shows damage which is not due to a missile landing on the car. The bonnet has been blown open and is uncharred, while the explosion came from lower down. Had this been a missile from the Syrian army, there would also have been scores of dead from the explosion as many people were around the car. Rather, the crowd was used as cover for the emplacement of the device.HT: TundraTabloids.

Al-Qaeda responsible for recent attacks in Syria: UN chief.United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon has held the al-Qaeda terrorist group responsible for the last week’s deadly twin bombings in Syria.

"A few days ago there was a huge, serious, massive terrorist attack. I believe that there must be al-Qaeda behind it. This has created again very serious problems," Ban said during a UN youth event on Thursday.

Last Thursday, at least 55 people were killed in the attacks in the al-Qazzaz district in Damascus, while another 400 were wounded.

Meanwhile, US and Russian officials have also said they believe the terrorist group is behind the attacks and other violent militants are operating in the country. Most of the terrorists, mainly Tunisian and Libyan nationals, have reportedly confessed that they are al-Qaeda members.Hmmmm....The same Al-Qaeda members who fought Ghadaffi now are fighting Assad.Who transported them and what's their relation to the 'Friends of Syria'?

US, Saudi Arabia plan to destroy Syria: Report.

US, Saudi Arabia plan to destroy Syria: Report.(PressTV).The United States and Saudi Arabia have devised a new plan to destroy Syria after they did not reach their goals by creating unrest in the country for more than one year, Press TV reports. According to the report, after the failure of all efforts to topple the Syrian regime, Washington and Riyadh are devising a new plan. The plan has two goals, firstly to show that no peace will take place in Syria without the US consent, and secondly to tire out the Syrian government’s supporters to give their backing for the administration.
The US and Saudi Arabia have reached the conclusion that the Syrian army cannot be divided and that incumbent President Bashar Assad is in full control of the military. They also know the Syrian security has good control over the entire country even areas where the opposition sways influence. Meanwhile, the report added, although the Syrian economy has weakened, because of the conflicts, it is rapidly recovering. The US has organized several committees in order to implement the new plot in Syria, which include political, military, and security committees. The political committee comprises US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton as supervisor; Derek Chollet, as the executive manager; former US Ambassador to Syria Robert Ford; Fredrick Hoff as a member, and Jeffrey Feltman as the coordinator. Feltman, according to the report, also controls another political group whose members include Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Saud al-Faisal, and Qatari Foreign Minister Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim. Feltman also oversees a Doha-based office for special security coordination in Syria. Its members include intelligence agencies of such countries as the US, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Turkey, NATO, and Libya. Former Saudi Ambassador to the US Bandar bin Sultan shares his experience in Syria with the group and Feltman reviews the gathered information. The military committee includes Chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Martin Dempsey, as the head, as well as Major General Charles Cleveland, and General Frank Gibb. This group works with other groups, but has the final say on logistic aid to Syrian rebels, including volume of logistic aid and the kind of intelligence which should be provided to the Syrian opposition groups.
The security committee includes the representatives of 7-10 American intelligence agencies as well as US National Security Advisor Tom Donilon, Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, and Director of the Central Intelligence Agency General David Petraeus. There are several branches in the security committee whose mission is to draw up security plots and report on the situation in Syria to the head of the committee in addition to preparing reports on the US security strategy on the situation in Syria. The main goals of that strategy include forcing Syria into submission to the US policies and preventing the Russians from securing a permanent foothold in Syria. Other goals include breaking up Iran-Syria alliance by making the Syrian government take sides with the US instead of Iran or Russia, intensifying the psychological and propaganda war by the US as well as its regional and international allies, transferring democracy to Syria without confronting with the country or risking Israel’s natal security, and cutting Tehran’s connection with Syria and the Lebanese Hezbollah.
The plan will be implemented by direct military operations of voluntary battalions operating across Syria’s borders with neighboring countries and regions including Lebanon, Turkey, Jordan, Golan, Iraqi Kurdistan, as well as Iraq’s nomadic regions. Launching guerilla warfare in the Syrian cities, special operations in areas under the control of the Syrian government (including bomb attacks), popular activities combined with paramilitary operations, and psychological war against Syria’s military and intelligence forces and people are other stages of the executive phase of the plan.
The report noted that Saudi intelligence has reached an agreement with US and Israeli security companies based in Geneva to increase armed conflicts in Syria without engaging other countries. The conflicts will be led by retired military and intelligence experts that are theoretically in agreement with al-Qaeda. Meanwhile, the Americans are going to create small protected areas in Lebanon and use them as military training camps. These camps will be established by the US, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Turkey to be used by al-Qaeda and the Syrian opposition. Some parts of Iraq, especially in Anbar Province and the Kurdistan region, which is ruled by Massoud Barzani, have been chosen for the purpose because Barzani is closely working with Israel’s intelligence agency, Mossad. Saudi Arabia will, in the meantime, work on Syria’s big nomadic tribes most of which live around the city of Deir ez-Zor and in the Syrian Desert which extends up to Homs. The Lebanese government is also under pressure from Feltman’s assistant, Elizabeth Dale, to release 238 Wahhabi militants who used to be members of such rebels groups as Fathul Islam and Jund al-Sham. Syria has been experiencing unrest since mid-March 2011 and more than 6,000 police forces, army troops, security forces and pro-government people have been killed in the unrest.Hmmmm......The same Al-Qaida fighters who were used in Lybia against Ghadaffi? What's their relationship with Barack HUSSEIN Obama?Read the full story here.

Russia Deputy Foreign Minister sees Al-Qaeda hand in Syria.

Russia Deputy Foreign Minister sees Al-Qaeda hand in Syria.(HD).Russia today accused Al-Qaeda of being behind the brutal recent bombings in Syria and warned of a protracted and increasingly bloody conflict in which neither side gained the upper hand. Deputy Foreign Minister Gennady Gatilov painted a bleak picture of Syria's future one month after Bashar al-Assad's government signed up to international envoy Kofi Annan's six-point peace plan. Gatilov said the standoff had reached a military "balance" that would be hard to break unless Western and Arab nations took a harder line with opposition groups with which they had links. But he added that current foreign assistance to fighters required Russia not to leave its traditional ally defenceless and to continue supplying Assad's army with certain "defensive" arms. "It is very sad to see very powerful foreign support for the opposition -- both financial and military. This foreign support only emboldens the diehard opposition, prompting them to continue their terrorist activity," Gatilov said. "For us it is absolutely clear that terrorist groups are behind this -- Al-Qaeda and those groups that work with Al-Qaeda," he added in reference to the deadly wave of bombings that have recently struck Syria's biggest cities. Twin suicide bombings in Damascus last week killed 55 people and wounded 372 outside a government security building. Gatilov on Monday said Russia had "never said it has to be Assad and no one else. That is not our goal. We are not holding on to any specific political figures." He added that Russia's military was "trying to exercise some restraint" by not supplying Assad's forces with "offensive weapons" such as heavy tanks. But he flatly dismissed the idea of Russia simply breaking its lucrative and long-standing military links with the Damascus regime. "Of course, against the backdrop of such massive military support for the opposition -- we cannot but also take this into account. "It would be wrong to leave the Syrian government without the means for self-defence."Hmmmm......You've been forewarned.Read the full story here.

Hmmmm......Now why would he think that Al -Qaeda is in Syria?

Video - Syria - UN Observers Smuggling Terrorists in their Vehicles to Gather Intel about the Syrian Army.

A video leaked to the pro-Assad Truth Syria You Tube channel purports to show an anti-regime rebel being transported by UN observers in trucks bearing the distinctive UN text. According to the transcript accompanying the video, the “terrorist” traveling in the vehicle is allowed to conduct reconnaissance on where government checkpoints are located for the purpose of planning future attacks. At the end of the clip, the men in the UN vehicle break out in a spontaneous chant of “Allahu Akbar,” a phrase widely associated with fundamentalist Muslims who are engaged in jihad. The fact that rebels are being transported by UN observers who are supposed to remain impartial is obviously a sign that the UN mission represents little more than a furtherance of the effort to destabilize Assad’s government.

Is it any surprise that Syrian “opposition” forces are now also rallying around the Al-Qaeda flag just as they did in Libya given that Hillary Clinton admitted in a BBC News interview that the US and Al-Qaeda were on the same side in Syria?

This video shows Syrian “activists” flying the Al-Qaeda flag during an anti-Assad protest in the northern Syrian town of Binnish.

In another clip, armed Syrian rebels address the camera standing behind a table draped with the black Al-Qaeda flag.

Bin Laden's Declassified Notes To Go Online Tomorrow, '2012 Election Bonus'?

Bin Laden's Declassified Notes To Go Online Tomorrow, '2012 Election bonus'?(RFE).The United States is expected to make available online a selection of declassified notes and letters from Osama Bin Laden. The one-year anniversary of bin Laden's death at the hands of U.S. forces in Pakistan is being marked on May 2. White House counterterrorism chief John Brennan says some of the declassified documents will be posted online on May 3 by the U.S. Army's Combating Terrorism Center. Navy SEALs seized the material after killing the Al-Qaeda terrorism leader in a raid on his compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan. The cache is said to include correspondence between bin Laden and affiliates, and his handwritten diary. Bin Laden evaded capture after the September 11, 2001 attacks in the United States by avoiding electronic communications, instead relying on a courier to pass messages.Hmmmm......"Milking Osama".Read the full story here.

“You cannot end terrorism in the Muslim world, not any time soon, and possibly never,” Bartenev foreign policy analyst of the Moscow State University.

“You cannot end terrorism in the Muslim world, not any time soon, and possibly never,” Bartenev foreign policy analyst of the Moscow State University.(RN).Osama bin Laden’s death had little immediate impact on Russia’s own Islamist insurgency, which had occasional ties with al-Qaida, but a lot remains at stake for Moscow in Afghanistan, where a weakened al-Qaida is being sidelined by the Taliban, Russian foreign policy analysts said. “Russia stands a chance of filling the upcoming political vacuum in the country,” said Viktor Korgun, the head of Afghan studies department at the Moscow-based Institute of Oriental Studies. His death weakened al-Qaida, which bin Laden headed for quarter of a century, but could not possibly undo the group, which is a network of semi-independent local cells, said Vladimir Bartenev, a foreign policy analyst with the Moscow State University. American drone attacks on al-Qaida forces in Afghanistan played a bigger role in whittling the group down to its current core of some 1,500 fighters with a rotating cast of short-lived leaders than the hunt for bin Laden, Korgun said on Monday. But outside Afghanistan, the al-Qaida is still active while “transforming into a set of loosely affiliated groups focusing on local grievances, be that in Yemen, Maghreb or elsewhere,” Bartenev said. “And the al-Qaida guys in Yemen and Maghreb don’t care for bin Laden much, and didn’t for years,” he said.
Bin Laden’s death constituted the main foreign policy achievement for U.S. President Barack Obama, who faces an election in November, experts said. “It was more political than anything,” said Andrei Klimov, first deputy head of the international affairs committee at the Russian State Duma. Obama picked the anniversary of bin Laden’s death for a snap visit to Kabul, where he signed a deal on strategic partnership with Afghani President Hamid Karzai. The meeting indicated the White House was dubious about its allegedly ongoing talks with “moderate” Taliban and banking on the loyal Karzai, said Vladimir Sotnikov, a foreign affairs expert with the Institute of World Economy and International Relations in Moscow.“You cannot end terrorism in the Muslim world, not any time soon, and possibly never,” said Bartenev of the Moscow State University.
But a crucial victory for the West was stopping the export of terrorism to Europe and America, where no big terrorist attacks took place since the London bombings in 2005, said Korgun.
Local affairs, not anti-Western jihad touted by bin Laden, are now the prime item on the cards for terrorists, Bartenev said. However, this shift happened before bin Laden’s death, which was no more than a milestone in the anti-terrorism campaign, he said.Read the full story here.

U.S. on alert for terrorists with bombs INSIDE their bodies on eve of anniversary of bin Laden's death.

U.S. on alert for terrorists with bombs INSIDE their bodies on eve of anniversary of bin Laden's death.(DM).Security at airports in the U.S., Europe and the Middle East has been stepped up amid fears terrorists may be using bombs surgically implanted inside their bodies in attempt to blow up planes on the eve of Osama bin Laden's death, according to a new report. Officials are said to be taking precautions for a retaliatory attack by al Qaeda that would include drastic measures to circumvent body scanners.
According to ABC News, additional federal air marshals have been shifted overseas in preparation for the May 2 anniversary of bin Laden's death.
The report comes a nearly year after President Barack Obama announced on live television the former al Qaeda leader had been killed in a raid by U.S. Navy SEALS on a compound in Pakistan - a decision which outraged Pakistan's U.S.-backed civilian government and fanned anti-U.S. sentiment across the country.Earlier on Monday, White House counter-terrorism advisor John Brennan called the al Qaeda group in Yemen the greatest threat to the U.S. U.S. intelligence officials say Ibrahim Hassan al-Asiri - chief bombmaker for the terrorist group - is said to have resurfaced recently in the region, after months in hiding following the death by drone strike of American-born firebrand AQAP cleric Anwar al-Awlaki. Department of Homeland Security spokesman Peter Boogaard said on Monday there was no credible information of an impending attack, however. Read the full story here.

The Jihadist Roots of the Norway Massacre.

The Jihadist Roots of the Norway Massacre.(MEF).By Raymond Ibrahim. FrontPageMagazine.com.April 25, 2012.

Anders Breivik, who went on a shooting spree in Norway last year, killing some 70 people, recently confessed his inspiration: al-Qaeda, the jihadists par excellence of the modern world.
According to AFP, "The gunman behind the Norway massacres said he was inspired by al-Qaida as he took the stand Tuesday [4/17] at his trial…. he described himself as a 'militant nationalist' and, using the pronoun 'we' to suggest he was part of a larger group, added: 'We have drawn from al-Qaida and militant Islamists. You can see al-Qaida as the most successful militant group in the world.'"
Not only was he "inspired" by al-Qaeda, but his very tactics mirrored those of the jihadist organization. According to the AP, Breivik testified "that he had planned to capture and decapitate" the former Norwegian Prime Minister, with the plan "to film the beheading and post the video on the Internet," adding that "he was inspired by al-Qaida's use of decapitation," which he described "as a very powerful psychological weapon."
In a globalized world where Islam has the lion's share of acts of terrorism—where nonstop images of jihadists killing and beheading people have metastasized in the media, and thus in the mind of the average person—discovering that al-Qaeda is Breivik's source of inspiration is, of course, not surprising.
But there is a more profound point here: Breivik is not the first non-Muslim to be "inspired" by Muslim notions; the Crusaders, for example, lived in an atmosphere thoroughly permeated and influenced by Islamic jihad, so much so that the very idea of Christian "holy war"—the use of violence and conquest in the name of Christianity—finds its ideological origins in jihad.
Emmet Scott, for instance, author of the new book Mohammed and Charlemagne Revisited writes:
[I]n addition to some commentaries upon Aristotle, and a few scientific and technological concepts (which were not "Arab" inventions at all) Islam was to communicate to Europe a whole host of ideas and attitudes that were far from being enlightened. Most obviously, the concept of "holy war" [or jihad], which Europe adopted (admittedly somewhat reluctantly) in the eleventh century, was entirely an Islamic innovation (p. xx).
Earlier, historian Bernard Lewis wrote,
Even the Christian crusade, often compared with the Muslim jihad, was itself a delayed and limited response to the jihad and in part also an imitation…. [F]orgiveness for sins to those who fought in defence of the holy Church of God and the Christian religion and polity, and eternal life for those fighting the infidel: these ideas … clearly reflect the Muslim notion of jihad, and are precursors of the Western Christian Crusade.
For all that, Islamic ideologies did not pervert the foundations of Christianity. Lewis continues:
But unlike the jihad, it [the Crusade] was concerned primarily with the defense or reconquest of threatened or lost Christian territory.… The Muslim jihad, in contrast, was perceived as unlimited, as a religious obligation that would continue until all the world had either adopted the Muslim faith or submitted to Muslim rule.… The object of jihad is to bring the whole world under Islamic law.
The point here is that the earliest manifestations of the sort of terrorism initiated by Breivik are Islamic in origin. For instance, the medieval Hashashin—the archetypal terrorists who gave us the word "assassin"—were a Muslim sect that pioneered the use of fear, murder, and terror for political gain as early as the 11th century.
Even so, the media has inclined to focus on Breivik's fascination with Christian historical groups like the Knights Templar—without bothering to explain exactly how a military order devoted to protecting Christian pilgrims inspired Breivik to murder innocent Norwegian children. As one historian put it, the original Knights Templar, a "very devout people," would be "horrified" to be associated with Breivik.
Even more ironic, the Knights and Crusaders in general were frequently on the receiving end of the aforementioned Hashashin's terror campaign; that is, far from being inspirations for terrorism, the Knights Templar bore the brunt of one of the earliest manifestations of Islamic terrorism. Even CNN's Fareed Zakaria correctly opined that in Breivik's distorted worldview, "the Knights Templar resembles nothing so much as al Qaeda."
In short, whereas Breivik's goals may have been anti-Islamic in nature, his actions, those things which we are rightly judged by—in this case, from ruthless terrorism to planned beheadings—were jihadist in essence.

Osama bin Laden's Widows and Children to be deported from Pakistan.

Osama bin Laden's Widows and Children to be deported from Pakistan.(Telegraph). Bin Laden's three widows and their children were detained by the Pakistani authorities after the Saudi was killed in an operation in the garrison town of Abbottabad, north of Islamabad, last May. The news came as Washington and Islamabad try to patch up their relationship, which was badly damaged by the revelation that the world's most wanted man was living a stone's throw from Pakistan's elite military academy. Two weeks ago a court sentenced the widows and two of bin Laden's older daughters to 45 days' detention on charges of illegal entry and residency in Pakistan and ordered their deportation as soon as possible. They are due to complete the sentence, served in an Islamabad villa designated by authorities as a "sub-jail", on Tuesday, as it officially began when they were formally arrested on the charges on March 3. "They will go tonight or tomorrow early in the morning. After 12 tonight they can be deported any time," their lawyer Muhammad Aamir told AFP on Tuesday.Aamir said the family – who number 12, including bin Laden's three widows, eight children and one grandchild – would probably initially go to Saudi Arabia. He said bin Laden's youngest and reportedly favourite wife, Amal Abdulfattah, who is Yemeni, may be sent to Yemen afterwards with her five children. A Pakistani intelligence official confirmed to AFP that the family was expected to be deported "sometime around midnight" and said "most likely they would be flown to Saudi Arabia."Read the full story here.

"Feeding the Crocodile" - Al-Qaeda-allied group al-Shabaab executed US-born jihadist Omar Hammami.

"Feeding the Crocodile" - Al-Qaeda-allied group al-Shabaab executed US-born jihadist Omar Hammami.(SomalilandSun).The al-Qaeda-allied group al-Shabaab executed US-born jihadist Omar Hammami on April 5th, according to unconfirmed Somali media reports. Hammami, known as Abu Mansour al-Amriki, said he feared for his life from other al-Shabaab leaders because of strategic and ideological differences in a statement released last month. According to Somalia's Gedo Online, Hammami was the only one absent from a recent meeting attended by top al-Shabaab leaders in Baraawe. Al-Shabaab reportedly hunted down Hammami after he left Marka in the Lower Shabelle region. He was reportedly beheaded on the spot and buried somewhere between Marka and Baraawe. According to the report, the alleged execution angered some al-Shabaab leaders, who accused al-Shabaab leader Ahmed Abdi Godane of ordering the execution. A group of foreign fighters and other top al-Shabaab members, including Fuad Mohamed Khalaf, also known as Fuad Shongoole, reportedly fled to the Galgala Mountains following the news of the execution. Other leaders who left upon hearing the news include Hassan Dahir Aweys and Mukhtar Robow, Gedo Online reported. Aweys recently accused other al-Shabaab leaders, including Godane, of shedding the blood of Muslims and murdering innocent civilians in the name of Islam. He described the actions of al-Shabaab's leaders as far removed from Islam. Somali analysts say the al-Qaeda affiliated al-Shabaab group is on the verge of splintering due to deepening internal divisions exacerbated by recent military setbacks.Hmmmm.....An appeaser is one who feeds a crocodile, hoping it will eat him last. ~ Sir Winston Churchill.Read the full story here.

Video - Inside the prison 'home' where Osama bin Laden's wives, children and grandchildren are hidden away .

For nearly a year they have been locked up from the world, their lives and fates a mystery to the world. Since Osama bin Laden was killed by U.S. Navy Seals last May, his widows, children and grandchildren have been kept in a secure home while Pakistan decides their fate. Now the Al Arabiya television network has obtained footage from inside their 'guest house' in Islamabad. Inside, we see domestic scenes, as toddlers and children play with teddy bears and cricket bats, while the three widows of the former terrorist leader look on or read the Koran. But the boarded-up windows and a heavy armed presence outside indicate that while the place may serve as a home for the occupants, it is certainly a prison.Read and see the full story here.

Terror suspect, Abu Hamza, can be extradited to the U.S.

Terror suspect, Abu Hamza, can be extradited to the U.S.(AlArabiya).Europe’s human rights court has ruled that it would be legal for Britain to extradite an Egyptian-born radical Islamist cleric and five other terror suspects to the United States. The European Court of Human Rights ruling Tuesday in the cases of Mustafa Kamal Mustafa — also known as Abu Hamza al-Masri — and five others centered on tough U.S. detention policies. The court found “there would be no violation of Article 3 (prohibition of inhuman and degrading treatment) of the European Convention on Human Rights” if the six were extradited, but allowed a three-month stay for an appeal. Masri, a one-eyed, hook-handed hardliner, is wanted in the United States for a raft of alleged terrorist offenses, including trying to set up an al-Qaeda training camp in rural Oregon. He is currently serving seven years in prison at Britain’s Belmarsh prison. The hook-handed preacher Abu Hamza and the other suspects could be sent to the U.S. to face trial after they lost today their appeals against extradition. Egyptian-born Abu Hamza is wanted in America on 11 charges including taking 16 hostages in Yemen in 1998, promoting violent jihad in Afghanistan in 2001 and conspiring to set up a jihad training camp. Hamza was jailed for seven years in February 2006 for preaching hate and inciting murder at Finsbury Park Mosque in North London. His sentence has now been served but he could face life sentence behind bars in the U.S.. Abu Hamza was granted British citizenship in 1986. The American authorities have described him as a “terrorist facilitator with a global reach”. Read the full story here.

Al Arabiya video shows Bin Laden’s widows in their detention place.

Al Arabiya video shows Bin Laden’s widows in their detention place.(AlArabiya).Al Arabiya television has aired a video showing the widows, children and grandchildren of former al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden inside a villa in Islamabad where they were serving a jail sentence for illegal residency in the country. A Pakistani court had sentenced Bin Laden’s three widows and two of his daughters to a month and a half in prison for illegal residency and ordered the government to arrange their repatriation. One widow is Yemeni and the other two are Saudi. Their lawyer Muhammad Aamir said the period of detention began on March 3, when they were formally arrested on charges of illegal entry and residency in Pakistan and that they would continue to be held at their villa in Islamabad. The detention place appeared to be heavily fortified. Bin Laden and his wives were living with eight of their children and three employees in Abbottabad, where he was attacked and killed by U.S. Special Forces on May 1, 2011. Pakistani Interior Minister Rehman Malik has said previously that the children not involved in the case were free to leave Pakistan or could stay with their mothers for the duration of the trial.Read and see (video) the full story here.

Nazareth imam of the Shihab a-Din mosque in Nazareth convicted of inciting terror.

Shihab a-Din mosque in Nazareth. Nazareth imam of the Shihab a-Din mosque in Nazareth convicted of inciting terror.(JPost).The Nazareth Magistrate's Court on Sunday convicted the imam of a mosque in the city on charges of incitement to violence and terrorism and supporting a terror organization. 47-year-old Nazem Abu Salim, imam of the Shihab a-Din mosque in Nazareth since 1997, delivered Friday sermons to a congregation of around 2,000 people and also gave sermons in other mosques, including the al-Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem. The state attorney's office filed an indictment against Abu Salim in 2010, charging that the imam founded a Salafist-Jihadist group, Ansar Allah Bayit al-Maqdas al-Nasira (Supporters of God - Jerusalem - Nazareth'), whose ideology was identical to that of al-Qaida and its global Jihad movement, and that he preached and distributed literature about it to his congregants. The prosecution alleged that Ansar Allah calls on its followers to wage Jihad to lead Islam to victory and free Jerusalem from what it says is a "Zionist Crusader plot."
Abu Salim, who was held under house arrest since the commencement of legal proceedings against him in 2010, also established a website, MUSLIM 48, designed to spread Ansar Allah's teachings to a worldwide audience, the indictment said. Abu Salim expressed solidarity with the al-Qaida terror group and on several occasions encouraged violence, the prosecution argued. The prosecution charged that Ansar Allah has as its symbol a globe in the shape of the Dome of the Rock topped by a black flag, a mark also identified with the Taliban as well as with the radical Islamist ideologies of the Salafist movement.
The prosecution argued that a group of worshipers at Abu Salim's mosque were influenced by the extreme Islamist ideologies expounded in his publications. The group went on to commit violent acts against Christians and Jews - including murdering a Jewish taxi driver and attacking Christians, the prosecution alleged.Judge Lili Jung-Goffer said that the evidence shows that Ansar Allah belongs to the Salafist Islam movement, and that the group has about 100 activists and thousands of worshipers and participants. According to the Shabak, the Salafist-Jihadist movement is a radical group within Salafism, a Sunni movement that strives to restore the glory days of early Islam by establishing an Islamic society under Sharia law.
In Israel, Ansar Allah is headed by its founder and spiritual leader - Abu Salim, the judge said. "Various materials seized, including the flag and the symbol, indicate that the organization also had the symbolic trappings of a real group, with an ideology, a purpose and a leadership," Judge Jung-Goffer said. Ansar Allah was also declared an illegal organization by the Defense Minister in July 2011, the judge added. The judge also referred to an expert opinion given by Dr Sagi Polka of Ben Gurion University, who said that the Ansar Allah's ideology is to lead Jihad to establish a global Caliphate.
Polka said that Scapa's website had published materials typical of al-Qaida. Judge Jung-Goffer also said that the court did not accept Scapa's arguments that his statements praising al-Qaida leaders, the Taliban and Islamic Jihad were made innocently, and not out of solidarity with those terror groups. Scapa had also confirmed to the Shin Bet that he viewed former al-Qaida leader Osama bin Laden as a hero and that he supports Islam's struggle against the West, the judge said. According to the Shabak, Salafist and Salafist-Jihadist ideologies are being disseminated mostly in the Palestinian Authority controlled territories and in Gaza, but on a smaller scale have also begun to spread among Israeli Arabs, and that Abu Salim is the ideological leader of the movement in Israel.Read the full story here.

Mohamed Merah had officially no longer a valid French passport since April 2008.

Mohamed Merah had officially no longer a valid French passport since April 2008.(Liberte).Apparantly Mohamed Merah, the alleged assassin of the Jewish school in Toulouse and three soldiers,is a French national but also Algerian. This was stated by those close to the case and at liberty to disclose the matter. The day he died, on 22 March, Mohamed Merah had no valid French passport. It had expired nearly four years before. The same sources state that a single French passport was issued to Mohamed Merah. Born October 10, 1988 in Toulouse, there was only one application at the town hall. His French passport was issued April 22, 1998 (he was then 09 years, 5 months and 12 days) in Toulouse and it was never renewed. The French document is valid for 10 years, Mohamed Merah could no longer travel abroad with his French passport since April 22, 2008.
But his Algerian passport was still valid. On 20 July 2005 he obtained the official document at the Algerian Consulate in Toulouse. It was renewed March 20, 2010, always in the same consulate. Thus, since April 22, 2008, Mohamed Merah was only able to travel (legally) outside of France with an Algerian passport "The Israeli authorities, through the Shin Bet (internal security) confirmed that Mohamed Merah visited the Jewish state in 2010, for 3 days. He arrived in Israel from Jordan, crossing the Allenby Bridge, which forms the border between the two nations. Was he using an "Algerian Passport"?
He took a long, long, journey. This led him to Afghanistan, in late 2010 and then to Pakistan, the following year. In an interview with Le Monde, Bernard Squarcini, head of the Central Directorate of Internal Intelligence (DCRI), describes this journey that would have occurred off the marked trails of international jihadism.
