'Kill Ahmadis who don't convert to mainstream Islam' leaflets found in London mosque.
'Kill Ahmadis who don't convert to mainstream Islam' leaflets found in London mosque. (ET).
Leaflets calling for the killing of Ahmadis have been found in a London mosque, according to BBC News.
The flyers, which say Ahmadis should face death if they refuse to convert to Islam, were displayed in Stockwell Green mosque in London. The leaflets are believed to have been authored by Yusuf Ludhianvi, ex-head of Khatme Nabuwat, a group which lists the mosque as its overseas office. A mosque trustee, however, denied having seen it before and suggested they were fakes or left there with malicious intent.
Four trustees of the charity listed in the documents manage the mosque, while two of the current owners of the mosque run centres affiliated to the group elsewhere in the UK. The mosque is also listed as an “overseas office” on the group’s website for Khatme Nabuwwat.
The leaflets state, “Those who refuse to convert to mainstream Islam within three days should face a “capital sentence” — or death penalty.” Written in English, the leaflets were found arranged in piles on a desk next to a shoe-rack, the usual place to display literature in mosques.
In 2011, the Stockwell Green mosque was accused of helping to promote acts of terror and hate in Pakistan, prompting a vehement denial from its then trustee Toaha Qureshi who claimed the mosque’s name had been “falsely used” on a website listed on hate literature advocating the murder of Ahmadis.
“We are very angry and furious about that. We do not have any linkage with this organisation that is promoting hate,” Qureshi said, claiming the mosque was an independent organisation which did not take any dictation by anybody.
Regarding the latest discovery of leaflets and alleged links between the mosque and Khatme Nabuwwat, Qureshi upheld, “There is a link that we only need when we need some guidance or literature on that particular issue, then we seek advice from them.”
“We have not published any pamphlet of that kind. This is nothing to do with our mosque. Someone might have put it there and taken from there with malicious intentions,” he added. Read the full story here.

Video - Gunman dressed in Muslim garb opens fire on teenagers in broad daylight in London.
Video - Gunman dressed in Muslim garb opens fire on teenagers in broad daylight in London.(DM).
It could be a scene from the heart of one of Los Angeles' infamous ganglands - but this chilling video was in fact shot in a north London suburb just yards away from a busy shopping centre.
A gunman who is believed to have been wearing Muslim dress was filmed chasing four teenagers past houses and parked cars before appearing to shoot one of them as they cowered next to a house.
The shocking footage, taken outside Edmonton shopping centre around 2pm, showed the man following the young boys as they desperately tried to flee the scene, which is less than half a mile from a nearby primary school.
A daylight clip taken from a nearby balcony appears to suggest the terrifying situation followed a disagreement in the shopping centre as a seven-strong group of men can be seen dispersing across a car park as a shot and shouting can be heard at the beginning of the footage.
The gun-toting man then chases the four boys across a nearby busy road, forcing drivers to slow down as they swerve around the group.
As one of the men, who appears to have been shot in the leg, attempts to desperately limp away from the scene others run ahead in a bid to ready a vehicle.
The attacker, who appeared to be wearing a thobe, which is an ankle-length garment, can be seen following with the weapon held out in front before he targets the injured man, who cowers next to a residential house. Metropolitan Police confirmed it was aware of an incident in Edmonton yesterday and said officers discovered no one injured at the scene. No one has been arrested. Read the full story here.

London ‘more Islamic’ than Muslim world: Pakistan-born Islamic scholar.
London[istan] ‘more Islamic’ than Muslim world: Pakistan-born Islamic scholar. (ET).
The cleric, who was brought up in Birmingham and is president of the Majlis Ulama-e-Shia which represents South Asian Shia mosques and scholars, according to the Daily Mail, continued,
“Because that is what Islam is all about, respecting and giving to others … if in one line I could say what Islam is all about, it is all about love and justice.”
The scholar was speaking alongside Cardinal Vincent Nichols, the leader of the Roman Catholic Church in England and Wales, and Chief Rabbi Ephraim Mirvis at the annual Benedict XVI Lecture, an interfaith discussion event in London.
The three leaders discussed how members of their own faiths had, in different ways, lived as “creative minorities”.
Maulana Rizvi also said that unlike their “Jewish and Christian brothers”, Muslims in Britain were a new community, established for decades rather than centuries, and had a “lot to learn” from other religious groups.
According to Daily Mail, Cardinal Vincent Nichols warned that definitions of extremism could become “far too embracing of simply the current social consensus.”
He cited the example of teachers contacting police about pupils suspected of extremism. This ‘can do immense damage’ to levels of trust, he said.
“There is no doubt that the threat of active terror is real. But my impression is that we are at a very delicate point at which the defining of extremism could go quite seriously wrong,” he added.

Video - London-Based Egyptian Preacher Hani Al-Sibai: 'I Foresee the Europeans Banishing the Muslims; We Deserve Compensation Like the Jews'
Video - London-Based Egyptian Preacher Hani Al-Sibai: 'I Foresee the Europeans Banishing the Muslims; We Deserve Compensation Like the Jews'. Memri
In a November 20 Friday sermon, titled "The Fate of the Muslims after the Paris Incidents," London-based Egyptian preacher Hani Al-Sibai said that he foresaw the Muslims "being persecuted in the streets and alleys of Europe" and "loaded onto giant planes and thrown to perish in some desert." "Look what the Jews did to the Germans. Because of the issue of the Holocaust, the Germans are paying them every year," said Al-Sibai, who has been living in Britain since 1994 as an asylum seeker. "What about us? What about our compensation?"
Following are excerpts:
Hani Al-Sibai: The Muslim have become the problem now. I foresee the homes of the Muslims being plundered and burned down in the future. I envision this happening in the future. It is as if history is opening up before me. Sadly, I see the Muslims being displaced and deported. They will be persecuted in the streets and alleys of Europe. I see them being loaded onto boats and sent [back] to the Middle East. Those who are saved, by the grace of Allah, will be loaded onto giant planes and thrown to perish in some desert, or elsewhere in the Muslim countries. Those left [in Europe] – their women will be raped and enslaved, their money will be plundered, and their homes will be burned down.
This is your destiny. Beware of having rosy dreams. Europe is baring its teeth now. This is the truth that we have failed to understand. You haven't realized this yet. They know you are the enemy. You can change your name, you can change, your religion, change the way you look - you are still the enemy.
[…]
It is clear that they have taken advantage of the [Paris] incident. Look what hysteria: "France will be lost." "Paris is gone," "Europe is lost." They closed the borders and built walls… What's going on?!
[…]
All this because of an attack on a disco, a night club, or whatever… They instated an emergency law for three months… They made people think that Europe has been invaded from outer space.
>p>[…]
What would happen if we told you to take your evil away from us? Stay away from our countries, and we will move there. We don't want to live among you. We don't want to live this wretched life that you have kindly bestowed upon us. You have plundered our money. You have taken millions from Muslim lands. This loot, this gold, that is now in Britain and all of Europe belongs to us. This is the money of the Muslims which you had have looted: French colonialism, British colonialism for over 70 years… You have taken the treasures of the land of its people, and then you bestow upon us some [financial] support… This is the money of the Muslims!
[…]
You have plundered our countries. You have destroyed and plundered them. You must pay us compensation for the catastrophes you have caused. It is you who finance those criminals [ISIS]. It is you who have used the people who attack and kill.
Look what the Jews did to the Germans. Because of the issue of the Holocaust, the Germans are paying them every year. They pay them reparations ever since the end of the World War and to this day, and they will continue to pay for generations to come. Whether they like it or not, they pay huge sums every year. Every government must pay for what the Germans did. What about us? What about our compensation for the occupation? For two centuries, you have been destroying us and plundering our money.

"UK police thwart ISIS plot on Armed Forces Day parade."
"UK police thwart ISIS plot on Armed Forces Day parade." (Guardian).
The Sun reports it tipped off authorities about planned London bomb attack after Isis leader recruited undercover investigator from newspaper.
Police have encouraged the public to attend events as normal after it was reported that an Armed Forces Day parade had been targeted by Islamic State (Isis).
An intended suicide bombing of a parade in south London on Saturday would have targeted soldiers from the same unit as murdered soldier Lee Rigby, according to The Sun.
The plot to explode a pressure-cooker bomb – to kill soldiers and bystanders on the route – was revealed after one of its leaders in Syria unwittingly recruited an undercover investigator from the newspaper to carry it out, the report said.It is alleged that a figure in Isis, whom it named as Junaid Hussain from Birmingham, told the investigator: “It will be big. We will hit the kuffar (unbelievers) hard InshAllah. Hit their soldiers in their own land. InshAllah. Soldiers that served in Iraq and Afganistan will be present. Jump in the crowd and detonate the bomb.
“They think they can kill Muslims in Iraq and Afghanistan then come back to the UK and be safe. We’ll hit them hard InshAllah.”
The newspaper said the plot to bomb the parade in Merton, south-west London, was thwarted when it informed police and security services. Read the full story here.

'Flexibility' - Two Russian Bear bombers enter U.S. Air defense zone; Obama 'admin' doesn't react.
'Flexibility' - Two Russian Bear bombers enter U.S. Air defense zone; Obama 'admin' doesn't react. (FB).
Two Russian nuclear-capable bombers intruded into the U.S. air defense zone near Alaska last week in the latest saber rattling by Moscow, defense officials said.
The Tu-95 Bear H bombers flew into the Alaska zone on April 22. But unlike most earlier incursions, no U.S. interceptor jets were dispatched to shadow them, said defense officials familiar with the latest U.S.-Russian aerial encounter.
Navy Capt. Jeff Davis, a spokesman for the U.S. Northern Command and North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD), declined to confirm the incursion. But he said no jets were dispatched last week to intercept intruding aircraft.
The incident was the first Russian bomber incursion of a U.S. or Canadian air defense zone this year. Officials said it likely signals the start of Russia’s long-range aviation spring training cycle. Further aerial incursions are expected.
Last year, U.S. and Canadian jets intercepted Russian bombers on at least six occasions, and intruding Russian long-range aircraft were detected on 10 occasions, Davis said.
Despite remaining in international airspace, “we believe that if the Russian military filed flight plans and self-identified—by ‘squawking and talking’—the overall safety of flight would be enhanced,” Davis said.
These flights often enter the U.S. or Canadian [air defense identification zone], but have not entered U.S. or Canadian sovereign airspace,” he said, adding that the flights are legal since the ADIZ is not sovereign airspace. Pakistani Hijack attempt foiled on board Air India flight to London?
Pakistani Hijack attempt foiled on board Air India flight to London? . (HT).
Indian airlines have warned crew members to be on their guard, citing an alleged incident on board a recent international flight where there was a suspicious attempt to gain access to the cockpit.
According to an email sent to Jet Airways pilots on Friday, which HT has seen, a passenger allegedly feigned illness and five others claiming to be doctors volunteered medical assistance. After examining the “sick” passenger, they insisted strongly on meeting the captain, but were refused permission.
“Their persistence was suspect and the captain refused to meet the doctors either inside or outside the cockpit,” reads the note.
According to aviation sources, this occurred on a recent Air India flight to London.
A check was subsequently carried out, which revealed the five were Pakistani nationals. “They were all Pakistan passport holders and their contact numbers, when tried, were found to be fictitious. The patient is also being considered a suspect,” the note says.
Similar accounts have been sent to cabin crew at other airlines, with strict instructions that no “unauthorised” person is to be allowed entry to the cockpit at any cost, aviation sources said.
Top intelligence officials, however, dismissed the claims. Air India declined to comment while attempts to elicit a response from the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security also went unanswered.
Other senior government officials who would ordinarily have been briefed on such a matter told HT they were unaware of any such incident. But the aviation sector seemed spooked.
“It has sent shockwaves through the aviation security establishment. All crew have now been intimated to be very alert and strictly adhere to a no-admission into the flight deck policy,” said one pilot with a private airline. Hmmmm.......You won't read this in the MSM.

London rail work unearths thousands of skeletons from Bedlam cemetery.
London rail work unearths thousands of skeletons from Bedlam cemetery. (phys.org).
They came from every parish of London, and from all walks of life, and ended up in a burial ground called Bedlam.
Now scientists hope their centuries-old skeletons can reveal new information about how long-ago Londoners lived—and about the bubonic plague that often killed them.
Archaeologists announced Monday that they have begun excavating the bones of some 3,000 people interred in the 16th and 17th centuries, who now lie in the path of the Crossrail transit line. They will be pored over by scientists before being reburied elsewhere.
One recent workday, just meters (yards) from teeming Liverpool Street railway station, researchers in orange overalls scraped, sifted and gently removed skeletons embedded in the dark earth. In one corner of the site, the skeleton of an adult lay beside the fragile remains of a baby, the wooden outline of its coffin still visible. Most were less intact, a jumble of bones and skulls.
Chief archaeologist Jay Carver says the Bedlam dig could be the most revealing yet.
"It's going to be archaeologically the most important sample we have of the population of London from the 16th and 17th centuries," Carver said.
Bedlam cemetery opened in 1569 to take the overspill as the city's churchyard burial grounds filled up. It is the final resting place of prosperous citizens and paupers, religious dissenters including the 17th-century revolutionary Robert Lockyer and patients from Bedlam Hospital, the world's first asylum for the mentally ill.
The hospital's name, a corruption of Bethlehem, became a synonym for chaos. From the fourteenth century, Bethlem had been referred to colloquially as "Bedleheem", "Bedleem" or "Bedlam". Initially "Bedlam" was an informal name but from approximately the Jacobean era the word entered everyday speech to signify a state of madness, chaos, and the irrational nature of the world. Video - Anti-Semitic Muslim Protesters Chant 'Heil Hitler' in heart of London
A previously unreported video filmed last month in heart of London and posted to YouTube illustrates the anti-Semitic rage enveloping Europe since the start of the latest Gaza war.
Chants of "Heil Hitler" and "Oh Jew, you will die" could be heard from the Algerian crowd amid pro-Palestinian signs saying "End the Siege on Gaza," "Free Palestine" and "Freedom for Palestine." Others carried the Algerian and Palestinian flags.
Protesters chanted "Allahu Akbar!" – God is greatest – as they burned an Israeli flag.
These protests underscore Europe's lingering problem with anti-Semitism – this time fueled by Muslim and leftist animus against Israel.Read the full story here.

Russia Tests Cruise Missile In Violation Of Arms Treaty U.S. Says; Obama Sends Putin A Letter.
Russia Tests Cruise Missile In Violation Of Arms Treaty U.S. Says; Obama Sends Putin A Letter.(NYT)
WASHINGTON — The United States has concluded that Russia violated a landmark arms control treaty by testing a prohibited ground-launched cruise missile, according to senior American officials, a finding that was conveyed by President Obama to Russian President Vladimir V. Putin in a letter on Monday.
It is the most serious allegation of an arms control treaty violation that the Obama administration has leveled against Russia and adds another dispute to a relationship already burdened by tensions over the Kremlin’s support for separatists in Ukraine and its decision to grant asylum to Edward J. Snowden, the former National Security Agency contractor.
In January, The New York Times reported that American officials had informed the NATO allies that Russia had tested a ground-launched cruise missile, raising serious concerns about Russia’s compliance with the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty, or I.N.F. treaty, as it is commonly called. The State Department said at the time that the issue was under review and that the Obama administration was not yet ready to formally declare it a treaty violation.
In recent months, however, the issue has been taken up by top-level officials, including a meeting this month of the Principals’ Committee, a cabinet-level body that includes Mr. Obama’s national security adviser, the defense secretary, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, the secretary of state and the director of the Central Intelligence Agency. Senior officials said the president’s most senior advisers unanimously agreed that the test was a serious violation, and the allegation will be made public soon in the State Department’s annual report on international compliance with arms control agreements.
“The United States has determined that the Russian Federation is in violation of its obligations under the I.N.F. treaty not to possess, produce or flight test a ground launched cruise missile (GLCM) with a range capability of 500 kilometers to 5,500 kilometers or to possess or produce launchers of such missiles,” that report will say.
In his letter to Mr. Putin, delivered by the American Embassy, Mr. Obama underscored his interest in a high-level dialogue with Moscow with the aim of preserving the 1987 treaty and discussing steps the Kremlin might take to come back into compliance. Secretary of State John Kerry delivered a similar message in a Sunday phone call to Sergey V. Lavrov, the Russian foreign minister.
Because the treaty proscribes testing ground launched cruise missiles of medium-range, the Kremlin cannot undo the violation. But administration officials do not believe the cruise missile has been deployed and say there are measures the Russians can take to ameliorate the problem.
Administration officials declined to say what such steps might be, but arms control experts say they could include a promise not to deploy the system and inspections to demonstrate that the cruise missiles and their launchers have been destroyed. Because the missiles are small and easily concealed, obtaining complete confidence that the weapons have been eliminated might be difficult.
NATO’s top commander, Gen. Philip M. Breedlove, has said that the violation requires a response if it cannot be resolved.
“A weapon capability that violates the I.N.F., that is introduced into the greater European land mass is absolutely a tool that will have to be dealt with,” he said in an interview in April. “It can’t go unanswered.”
Mr. Obama has determined that the United States will not retaliate against the Russians by violating the treaty and deploying its own prohibited medium-range system, officials said. So the responses might include deploying sea-launched and air-launched cruise missiles, which would be an allowable under the accord.
Republican lawmakers have repeatedly criticized the administration for dragging its feet on the issue. Ms. Gottemoeller, the State Department official has had no discussions with her Russian counterparts on the subject since February. And Mr. Kerry’s Sunday call was the first time he has directly raised the violation with Mr. Lavrov, State Department officials said. Administration officials said the upheaval in Ukraine pushed the issue to the back burner and that the downturn in American-Russia relations has led to an interruption of regular meetings on arms control.
The prospects for resolving the violation are also uncertain at best. After Ms. Gottemoeller first raised the matter in 2013, Russian officials said that they had looked into the matter and consider the issue to be closed.
The Russians have also raised their own allegations, a move that American officials believe it is intended to muddy the issue and perhaps give them leverage in any negotiations over compliance. One month after Ms. Gottemoeller raised the American concerns about the testing of the ground launched cruise missile, the Russians responded by pointing to the United States plans to base the Aegis missile system in Romania.
The Aegis system, which is commonly used on warships, would be used to protect American and NATO forces from missile attacks. But the Russians have alleged that it could be used to fire prohibited cruise missiles.
When Mr. Kerry spoke with Mr. Lavrov on Sunday, the Russian foreign minister cited Russia’s concerns over “decoys.” That may have been a reference to Russian charges that the targets that the United States uses in antimissile tests are an I.N.F. treaty violation. American officials regard that allegation, about the issue of the Aegis system and complaints about the use of targets, to be spurious.
An underlying concern of the Obama administration in dealing with the Russians is that the Kremlin may not be wedded to the I.N.F. agreement. During the George W. Bush administration, some Russians officials argued that the treaty should be dropped so that the Kremlin could develop its military capabilities to deal with threats on its periphery including China and Pakistan.
In a June 2013 meeting with Russian defense industry officials, Mr. Putin described Mr. Gorbachev’s decision to sign the accord as “debatable to say the least,” but asserted that Russia would uphold the agreement. Even some conservative American analysts say that in pursing the compliance concern the United States should not provide the Kremlin with an opportunity to back out of the agreement.
“For the United States to declare that we are pulling out of the treaty in response to what Russia has done would actually be welcome in Moscow because they are wrestling with the question of how they terminate,” Stephen Rademaker, a former Bush administration official, told the House Armed Services Committee earlier this month.
“We shouldn’t make it any easier for them,” he added. “We should force them to take the onus of that.”

Russian Planes Can Deliver Nuclear Strike Even At London From Belarus....or is the 'target' Brussels?
Russian Planes Can Deliver Nuclear Strike Even At London From Belarus....or is the 'target' Brussels? HT: charter97.
Russian aviation in Babruisk and Barabavichy poses a threat to entire Europe.
Military observer Aliaksandr Alesin said it to charter97.org commenting on possible stationing of Tu-160 Russian strategic bombers in Belarus.
– To what extent is it possible that these planes will be sent here?
– If we take only military arguments, it is not reasonable. Tu-160 is an intercontinental strategic bomber. Its range, to put it mildly, is 10,000 kilometres, but it can fly around the world with several in-flight refuellings. So, it doesn't matter where they are stationed. Taking into account that the plane's speed is more than 2,000 kilometres per hour, Belarus with a perimeter of 650 by 550 kilometres is the least comfortable place for it. Besides, Russia's unfriendly countries lie to the west, to the north and, to all appearances, to the south of the country. The plane has no place to fly except for the east. It even cannot perform normal practice flights.
– Do you mean it is more convenient for the planes to perform combat tasks from Russia?
– Yes. They are stationed on the Volga River, near the town of Engels. There's a long-range aviation base known from the Soviet times. If they arrive here in Belarus and probably take part in the parade, it will be a propagandist step to demonstrate Russia's readiness for decisive actions.
– Sending such planes that consume a lot of fuel only for the participation in the parade is not cheap, is it?
– The matter is that nobody counts money during the war. I think Russia can afford it to back its oral threats in case of opening NATO bases in the Baltic States, Poland and Ukraine.
From the military point of view, it is enough to station Tu-22MZ long-range planes in Belarus which were designed for the European theatre of war.
Russia also has new perfect Su-34 fighter bombers that have excellent electronics and can carry various weapons. From the military point of view, it would be more reasonable to station these aircraft here.
In my opinion, Su-34 planes are an excellent tool to threaten Polish aerodromes, potential air defence systems in Poland and so on. Anyway, I think even the regiment of Su-27SMZ equipped with 300 km range missiles, which will be stationed here, will be more than enough to perform the tasks of containment and deterrence.
Moreover, they also can carry tactical nuclear weapons. They can fly about 1,500 kilometres without refuelling that is enough to threaten Berlin and even London.Hmmm......And NATO in Brussels.

British Muslim Initiative - London to host Global March to Jerusalem on 7th June.
British Muslim Initiative - London to host Global March to Jerusalem on 7th June.HT: Globalmbwatch.
The British Muslim Initiative has issued a press release giving details on the 2nd “International Global March to Jerusalem.” According to the announcement:
Press Release | 23 May, 2013 As part of the International Global March to Jerusalem, Londoners from different backgrounds are expected to converge outside the Israeli Embassy in London, to protest the ongoing Zionist occupation of Jerusalem.
Protesters are concerned about the effects of the occupation, particularly violations against the city and its indigenous Arab inhabitants – both Christian and Muslim. Israel continues its racist practices inside Jerusalem which contravene UN resolutions and international law.
Organisers of the London GMJ will stage a march in London on Friday 7th June 2013, coinciding with the 46th anniversary of the occupation of the eastern part of the Holy City, which is home to Al-Aqsa Mosque, the Church of the Holy Sepulcher and other sacred sites. Addressing the march on 7th June will be prominent speakers, including politicians, community and faith leaders, activists, and campaigners.
Zaher Birrawi, spokesperson for the London GMJ, explained that ‘one of the purposes of the London march is to make a strong stand against Israel’s racist policies and the systematic Judaisation of the Holy City’.
Convenor of 2012 GMJ London march, Sarah Colborne, remarked that ‘it is unacceptable that Israel is allowed to perpetrate policies and crimes against the Palestinians with impunity in full sight of the world community. We are here to mobilise popular efforts towards exposing the racist character of the Israeli occupation.’

Key UK members of the Global March International Central Committee are Zaher Birawi, a leader at the Palestinian Return Center with many ties to the UK Muslim Brotherhood and Mohammad Sawalha, also tied to the UK Brotherhood and said by Israeli intelligence to be a former Hamas terrorist commander. Iran - UK opera stirs anti-Islam profanity fear.
Iran - UK opera stirs anti-Islam profanity fear.(Ptv).Britain is to host an opera on four Muslim youth planning a suicide bombing in what appears to be a potentially profane attack on Islam and Muslims. The opera named “Babur in London “, which is to be staged in Leeds starting from June 12, is reportedly the story of four young men plotting a suicide attack in which concepts of Jihad, war, the afterlife and the Islamic ban on alcohol are put to question. “In a London suburb four young men and women are preparing a terrorist act. As their mission draws closer, they are disturbed by the ghost of Babur, first Mughal Emperor - poet and warrior, who died 500 years ago,” the Opera North, which is co-producing the chamber piece said on its website. “Challenging their convictions he [Babur] calls them ‘children playing at battle, in love with death’, but what are his motives for interfering?” Opera North said in the synopsis. The performance is feared to encourage the western-backed stereotype of Islam and terrorism and repeat profane accusations against Islam as writer Jeet Thayil names one of the suicide bombers Mohammed that the symbolic water-bottle strewn setting of the opera suggest could have further blasphemous implications. "My name is Mo, short for Mohammed … And I owe my allegiance to global Umma./ My nation's the Republic of Islam," an excerpt of the chamber piece reads. Thayil further argues, through the words of Babur, that suicide bombing is not approved by God and that the four aspiring bombers are ignorant of the Holy Book. "God doesn't countenance the slaughter of innocents," Babur says. "Suicide is a sin and murder is a sin,/ And in the eyes of God you are sinners," he later adds. However, that is put in the words of a past ruler who the audience suspect of severe brutality and bloodshed rather than passionate care for his victims, falsely suggesting that Islam, nevertheless, supports violence.Read the full story here.

"The War On Terror Is Over" - Pakistan militants vow holy war for Bin Laden.
"The War On Terror Is Over" - Pakistan militants vow holy war for Bin Laden.(AA).Militants in Pakistan’s North Waziristan on Tuesday distributed pamphlets pledging holy war to mark the first anniversary of the killing of Osama bin Laden, albeit a week late. Masked militants armed with assault rifles handed out copies of the pamphlet from pick-up vehicles in Miranshah, the main town of the tribal district that has become known as Pakistan’s premier al-Qaeda and Taliban hub. “Let us pledge today that we will continue our jihad (holy war) and sacrifice our lives and property in the way of Allah like Sheikh Osama did,” it said, unsigned and dated May 2, the anniversary of the al-Qaeda leader’s killing by U.S. troops. “Today, a year since Sheikh Osama bin Laden embraced martyrdom, the enemy America is repenting. It is facing defeat and Pakistan’s future is also bleak,” it said. The pamphlet distribution followed two days of rare fighting between troops and Islamist militants in Miranshah that killed 19 soldiers and civilians, officials said. Gunbattles in North Waziristan are relatively rare because of an agreement between insurgents and the military not to attack each other. Pakistan has resisted U.S. pressure to conduct a major offensive in the district, saying it is too overstretched fighting homegrown insurgents elsewhere in the tribal belt. Bin Laden was killed on May 2 2011 in a secret U.S. Navy SEAL operation in a walled-off compound in the Pakistani garrison town of Abbottabad. Pakistan went on high alert last week over fears of revenge attacks, but the anniversary passed off peacefully.Hmmmm......Hamza Bin Laden....2012 Summer Olympics.....What's the odds?Any bets?Read the full story here.

Thousands of children in the UK are not getting enough food to eat: Britain's silent, scandalous epidemic.
Thousands of children in the UK are not getting enough food to eat: Britain's silent, scandalous epidemic.(Independent). Chris is 10. He and his brother are so malnourished that their skins are pale and they have rings under their eyes. Their older brothers have such an unhealthy diet that they have lost their adult teeth. They live in the sixth-richest city in the world – London. The boys are just four among thousands of Britain's hungry children – victims of a "silent epidemic" of malnutrition in the capital and beyond.
Kids Company, which supports 17,000 children in London, has reported a dramatic increase in the number of children coming to its walk-in centres not in search of shelter or safety, but food. The situation is mirrored around the country. In Barnsley, child-support charities are working with parents who struggle to keep cupboards stocked with such staples as milk, bread and pasta. In Bristol, a youth project has gone from offering a place for teenagers to go for advice and support, to a place they go for a basic meal. FareShare, a charity that redistributes surplus supermarket food, says soup kitchens, hostels and community groups are struggling to meet demand from parents and young people "desperate" for handouts.
Since October, 42 per cent of the groups it works with have faced rising demand for food. Kids Company, founded in 1996 to provide practical, emotional and educational support to London's most vulnerable children, has seen young people reduced to shoplifting, stealing from bins and eating raw meat. Every week, 70 new children visit the charity looking for support and a meal, compared with 30 a week last year. Many hungry children are from immigrant families whose parents are not eligible to work or claim benefits. But working parents and those on state handouts are also struggling as the cost of living soars and the job market remains stagnant. "We are seeing effectively responsible parents who are just not managing to have food in the house," said Kids Company's founder, Camila Batmanghelidjh. "Children don't have a public voice so they can't tell us." The problem is perhaps most visible in schools. Kids Company cites five inner London schools where staff say between 70 and 80 per cent of pupils are affected by food insecurity – not always having food at home, nor knowing where the next meal is coming from. Meanwhile, evidence from Trussell Trust, which supports food banks that give meals to 120,000 people nationwide, also suggests that the problem is growing. Its executive chairman, Chris Mould, said there had been a "huge increase" in demand in recent months – and among the hungry were 36,000 children. Even though the service is expanding, the charity is discovering more and more people in food poverty, who increasingly rely on the charity sector. "What we have seen suggests there are thousands of people in this country going hungry – making hard choices between, fuel, warmth, transport and food," he said. "The pressure falls hardest on mothers and children."Read the full story here.

"Olympic Cyanide Games"? Plot Instructions Posted for London Games.
Seize of a lethal dose of cyanide.
"Olympic Cyanide Games"? Plot Instructions Posted for London Games.(SUN).Exactly four months before the summer Olympic Games begin in London, officials are enacting security measures and trying to identify potential terrorist threats. The latest, uncovered by The Sun newspaper, involves mixing cyanide into hand cream. A Sun investigator saw a discussion on the idea after using a fake identity to gain access to a website frequented by radical Islamists, including "known links to six al—Qaeda terrorists."
One participant, identified as Abu Hija Ansari, posted instructions on how to mix the poison, including a warning that gloves are worn to protect the terrorists: "Through skin: 1 — cyanide, 2 — skin cream. Mix the ingredients. The skin cream will open the pores in the skin and speed up the absorption and effectiveness of the poison."
It's not clear how the hand cream would be distributed to large numbers of people attending the games. But others on the website praised the idea, including one woman who posted a logo of the Olympiad and wrote "It's time to prepare for the event, as once again they are interfering with innocent Muslims."
British security officials have not commented on the report. There are strong concerns, however, that the games will be targeted by terrorists, including sleeper cells already entrenched in London.
"Those who believe there is no terrorist threat are living in cloud cuckoo land," Bernard Jenkin, a Tory MP and chairman of the all-party homeland security group, said in response to the Sun report.Read the full story here.

Michelle Obama to Lead U.S. Delegation to London Olympics.
Michelle Obama to Lead U.S. Delegation to London Olympics.(WhitehouseDossier).By Keith koffler.Michelle Obama will lead the U.S. delegation to the London 2012 Summer Olympics, declaring that she will use the event to promote her “Let’s Move” kids fitness program.
From the White House:
“In the months ahead, I’ll be talking to Americans all across the country to encourage even more young people to tap into that Olympic spirit and turn their inspiration into action,” said Mrs. Obama. “As the Olympic creed states, ‘the most important thing … is not to win, but to take part.’ And that doesn’t just mean sitting and watching, it means getting up and getting active as well. I hope we use the upcoming games as motivation for all of us to get up and get moving.”
The White House was careful to note that Michelle, who has been criticized for her lavish vacations, will not be the only first lady to have led an Olympic delegation overseas.
Other First Ladies that have led a Presidential Delegation to the Olympic Games include First Lady Laura Bush to the 2006 Winter Olympics in Torino, Italy and then-First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton to the 1994 Winter Olympics in Lillehammer, Norway. The London games will be held July 27 – August 12.Hmmmm......No word on how many hotels will be booked on taxpayer's their tab?Lets hope Brittain lives up to it's 'Summer weather' reputation.Read the full story here.

"Who's afraid of the Islamic Jihad Wolf "?UK to Provide 13,500 Troops to Guard 2012 Olympics
In preparation for the 2012 Olympic Games. Britain says it will provide 13,500 troops as back-up security for the 2012 Olympic Games—more than it has in Afghanistan—in Britain's largest peacetime security operation.
Britain will provide 13,500 troops to protect next summer's London Olympics—4,000 more than in Afghanistan—after organizers said international uncertainty meant security for the event needed to be doubled. The military presence will also include Special Forces and specialist bomb disposal units as well as a 1,000-strong contingency force in case of an Olympics-related civil emergency.
Philip Hammond, UK Defense Secretary:
"7,500 of these are providing venue guarding capability, they will add resilience and robustness to what will be a civilian led operation. The other 5 or 6,000 will be providing military support to the police in what will be the biggest security challenge this country has faced for decades. We're very pleased that the military will be able to provide their specialist skills and specialist equipment to support the police and make sure this is a safe and secure Olympic Games."
The Olympic Park in Stratford, east London, will be protected by missiles against airborne attack, in line with measures taken by Beijing in 2008 and Athens in 2004."Military hardware will be used, we'll be deploying helicopters, we'll be deploying Typhoon fighters to defend London's air space; we'll be deploying ground to air missile systems. So the military will be using its full range of equipment to keep London safe during the Olympics."
Britain has been a target for Islamist militants for many years as a leading ally of U.S. military action in Iraq and Afghanistan.Hmmmm............Talk about "ISLAMOPHOBIA" ?
