Video - Jewish LA businessman pays $50 per meal for about 400 US soldiers in an airport in Shannon, Ireland

An LA businessman named Shlomo Rechnitz paid $50 per meal for about 400 US soldiers in an airport in Shannon, Ireland.

He saw them eating standard army food while all the other passengers in the terminal were eating in trendy and appetizing restaurants. Rechnitz then asked their commander if he can give them something extra.

This is Rechnitz offering words of appreciation to the soldiers after the commander agreed.

"I figured, I want to make the picture look a little better, and offered them $50 apiece to go to those restaurants and have a warm meal on me," Shlomo Rechnitz said on "Fox & Friends." Rechnitz also offered words of appreciation for the soldiers. A video of that has gone viral, picking up over 600,000 views.

'Steve Maman's List' - Interview With Moroccan Jew Who Rescued 128 Girls Enslaved by ISIS.

'Steve Maman's List' - Interview With Moroccan Jew Who Rescued 128 Girls Enslaved by ISIS. (Morocco World News).

Meknes – Steve Maman has rescued more than 100 children from danger in Iraq in the past few months with the support of Canon Andrew White, a world-renowned humanitarian figure. In order to grow support for his mission, he registered on June 26, in Canada “The liberation of Christian and Yazidi children of Iraq (CYCI)” organization.

“We can act now or we can remain spectators,” announced its President, Steven Mamn, a Moroccan-Canadian. “Take part in this humanitarian cause: Donate & Share!” he asks.

Could you tell us about your foundation in few words and the choice of Yazidis and Christians?

Steve Maman: On June 26, 2015 I created a nonprofit organization called “The liberation of Christian and Yazidi children of Iraq (CYCI)” to support my mission. Its goal is to negotiate the liberation of children held hostage and used a sex slaves in Mosul. We chose Christians and Yazidi because they are the ones held hostage after a fatwa authorized them to be used and sold as sex slaves for the benefit of ISIS (Daesh) combatants. I would have definitely added the Muslim children to my mission if they were part of this horror.

Does your foundation have other objectives?

Steve Maman: Our unique objective is to liberate as many children as possible. The project has been going on for 8 months now, and the role of this organization is to provide us, in our work, with donations. Until now, I had carried the project on my own and have moved multiple families out of harm’s way.

What made you come up with the idea for this project?

Steve Maman: Well, I as a Moroccan Jew, I found this cause to engage in a true world responsibility. The Torah talks about two things: “Tikkun Olam,” repairing the world, and “Kiddouch Hashem,” to make God’s presence respected. As a Jew, it was a way to make this world better through actions of goodness and kindness. The goal here is for children to come out alive from this horrible war.

There is no question of religion, race, or nationality being discussed here. There are innocent children that are powerless, caught in the crossfire. But worse, they are being exploited in the crossfire, as if that alone were not enough pain to endure. The exploitations are beyond understanding. Children beheaded, raped, beat, underfed, left to live in cages! Why? Because they are Christian or Yazidi, and therefore this does not constitute a sin in the eyes of Islamic law in the way ISIS interprets it. This is not Islam. I refuse to accept, as a Jew, that this is Islam. This is a deformation, a distortion of Islam. This has to be decried and it has to be fixed. The fixing starts with giving them a chance at life.

I need support. One year has gone by and it has been long enough for world leaders to react and plan a solution, yet we see little being done for those left behind at the mercy of ISIS.

The heroic Government of Canada, with its Prime Minister Stephen Harper, who has gone to Iraq and pledged nearly 140 million dollars in aid to the humanitarian cause, as well as sending Canadian troops, is sending a message to the world. I wish to see more world leaders unite forces in order to find a solution to end this.

May god bless my mission with world leaders being aware of what I do and of what can be done. My mission is centered on the ones who are held hostage. I refer tothe ones kept in cages being hurt, abused molested and raped. The ones I truly wish to help are praying to God after every rape that he ends their pain and humiliation. It is reported they wish they be killed rather than live with such a fate.

God give them the strength to hold on to life for a bit longer until I get to them, God willing. Hmmm.....Thank God for Canadian PM Stephen Harper and Steve Maman. Read the full story here.

ADL leader Foxman: Anti-Semitism At Its Worst Since World War II.

ADL leader Foxman: Anti-Semitism At Its Worst Since World War II.HT: Ynet.

Anti-Defamation League chief Abe Foxman believes that anti-Semitism is at its height since the Holocaust, and threatens the lives of Jews all around the world.

I think when we take a look at what’s going on, I think the assessment is that anti-Semitism, not only in Europe, but globally, is probably the worst that it’s been since World War II,” Foxman said in an exclusive interview to Ynet.

Europe is where the Jewish people have paid the highest price for anti-Semitism, and it’s sort of an old-new phenomenon,” he said, defining it as “nationalists, anti-government people, neo-fascists, neo-Nazis of anti-immigration and anti-government coming together with a glue and cement of anti-Semitism. I think it’s a serious threat to Jewish life.”

As to whether European leaders are making sufficient effort to stop anti-Jewish activities, Foxman said that, “Sometimes they are and sometimes they’re not.”

He added that incorporating representatives of racist organizations into governments is certainly not helping. “We have to continue to remind them that to accept into their governments neo-Nazi, neo fascist anti-Semitic groups is to give it legitimacy.

Belgium - Again antisemitic incident on train "Ladies and gentlemen, you are on the train to Auschwitz."

Belgium - Again antisemitic incident on train ""Ladies and gentlemen, you are on the train to Auschwitz."HT: JoodsActueel.

"Ladies and gentlemen, you are on the train to Auschwitz. All Jews are asked to step out to take a little shower" rail passengers were told on the Brussels-Liège on 31 January via the public address system on the train. The train was approaching the station at the time of Ottignies. SNCB confirmed the facts.

A Jewish passenger aboard this train reported the incident to the Brussels MR politician Vivivane Teitelbaum. Teitelbaum put the story of this recent incident on her blog after another traveler let her know that this kind of "plaisanteries" often heard on this train. "Apparently the 'young people' have a key to the cabinet with the public address system accesses".

In the spring of 2012 there was a similar incident on the train when the passengers were told that they were welcome on the train to Auschwitz and that all Jews were asked to step out at Buchenwald. SNCB then promised to take measures to prevent a recurrence.

NMBS spokesman Bart Crols said in a reaction to Jewish News that the closet with the public address system was indeed closed, but that the perpetrators despite of the increased vigilance did manage to 'break open' the closet. Yet the NMBS now two weeks later still filed no complaint for this intrusion. Our question is how this is possible let spokesperson Crols know that before a complaint is filed, the railway company to follow its own internal procedures. Our observation that this is ridiculous because you report a burglary immediately and file a complaint with the police or an investigating judge Crols responded: "I need to find out whether the complaint meanwhile is effective written down and i'll let you know" then we are nothing more SNCB heard.

Editor Michael Freilich said, "it is increasingly clear that the minister should intervene. And a complaint to the Centre for Equal Opportunities has no sense. When it comes to anti-Semitism CEOOR will be sweeping the incident under the carpet or you slide them on the back burner. "

Iranian Jews 'urge' Obama to seize on Rouhani overtures.

Iranian Jews 'urge' Obama to seize on Rouhani overtures.(Yahoo).
Tehran (AFP) - Tehran’s Jewish community has urged US President Barack Obama to seize an "unrepeatable" opportunity to mend fences with Iran now that a reputed moderate holds the Islamic republic's presidency.
The call was made in an open letter from the head of Tehran’s Jewish community, Homayoun Sameyah Najaf Abady, a copy of which was sent to AFP.

"If the US and the international community do not make the best of this golden and perhaps unrepeatable opportunity, then it will be in the benefit of those who are against the normalisation of ties between Iran and the US," Sameyah wrote.

"It would also make it easy for pessimists to doubt the good intentions of the US," he added.

His letter comes after Iran's new President Hassan Rouhani’s trip to New York for the UN General Assembly last month, when he made a number of diplomatic gestures towards the West.

The visit was capped by an historic phone conversation with Obama, the first such contact since the 1979 Islamic revolution.

Sameyah also played down controversial comments by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on basic freedoms in Iran.

"We, the Iranian Jews, as an Iranian religious minority, participated in the elections and elected our popular president freely," he said.*

He added that the small Jewish community has freedom of choice in "wearing jeans and listening to music," referring to Netanyahu's remarks.

Rouhani took office in August, riding on a campaign of moderation and with pledges to rebuild Iran’s standing in the international community and to expand civil freedoms.

Hmmm......*The Jewish community in Iran is under constant surveillance, where teaching Hebrew is prohibited, where Jewish women are forced to follow the same modesty laws their Muslim sisters do, where Jews are barred from certain jobs and some imprisoned or hung on trumped up charges of contact with "Zionists".

Then of course there are these ones
