Eight Synagogues across Canada receive hate mail. (CP24).
TORONTO -- At least eight synagogues in four cities across Canada have received anti-Semitic letters calling for the death of Jews, B'nai Brith Canada said.
Four synagogues in Toronto, two in Montreal, one in Hamilton and one in Edmonton have reported being sent the hate mail, the Jewish advocacy group said Tuesday.
A photo on B'nai Brith Canada's website shows the letter containing the words "Jewry must perish," and a swastika scrawled onto a blood-soaked Star of David.
There were 1,728 anti-Semitic incidents reported throughout the country in 2016, according to B'nai Brith's statistics.That's a 26 per cent increase from 2015 and the highest number of incidents ever seen by the organization, which has been tracking anti-Semitism for 35 years.

A
weekend news broadcast, aired on Russia's Channel 1 on April 2, reports
on the history of the Rothschild family, using Nazi propaganda footage
and antisemitic caricatures. The item, which was broadcast following the
death of American banker David Rockefeller, purported to shed light on
another wealthy international banking dynasty, the Rothschilds. The use
of Nazi propaganda footage - and moreover, without explicitly mentioning
the Nazi regime - is unusual in public broadcasts on Russian media. The
broadcast describes the major conspiracy theories regarding the
Rothschild family, claiming that it is part of an international Jewish
plot to take control of the world. The MEMRI TV clip has translated
excerpts from the original news item.
'Money, which Rules the World'
Narrator: "In the days of the Internet, this old photo of a
cart with four zebras usually bears the caption: What do you know about
luxury? The year is 1895. Lord Walter Rothschild rides a (cart) with
zebras in London's Piccadilly, violating one of the rules of his own
clan, rules presumably introduced by the clan's founder Mayer Amschel:
Never forget that modesty leads to riches. It is not known whether the
first Rothschild actually wrote this, but there is a special gallery in
the British Museum devoted to the riches of another family member,
Ferdinand Rothschild - gold and precious gems. The Rothschilds made
their fortune from gold, first by charging interest on gold coins of
Germany's dukes, followed by major bank speculations worldwide. In fact,
they have started to buy up the central banks of the European
countries. There was a joke back in the 19th century: There
is a British Empire, a Prussian Empire, a Russian Empire, and the
Rothschilds. As a result, the Rothschilds currently hold shares of the
U.S. Federal Reserve, of the Bank of England - here you see a recent
visit by Queen Elizabeth - and of dozens of major banks worldwide. This
is the richest, and at the same time the most mysterious, family in the
world. Another rule of the Rothschilds is: Never disclose the family's
assets, not in a court, nor in a will. This rule has never been
violated. The estimate of the Rothschild fortune is based on rumor
alone: about 3.5 trillion dollars, which is more than the British GDP."
Christoph Hörstel: "You definitely have a colossal influence
if you are the world's richest family. The Rothschilds understand
politics perfectly, and they know for sure what is going to happen. Two
centuries ago, Gutle Schnapper, Rothschild's wife, said: 'If my husband
does not want a war, there will be no war.'"
Narrator: "This is a typical modern caricature: Rothschild
nourishes the CIA, MI6, and ISIS, which is banned in many countries.
Beginning with Napoleon's war against Austria, they have been lending
money to rival parties - both to the emperor and the Austrian army. Of
course, they charged an interest rate. The Rothschilds also had
interests in Russia."
Yuri Vorobievsky: "When our tzar, Nikolai II, was visiting
France, one of the Rothschilds was introduced to him. Rothschild made a
proposition to the tzar: We will take control over your central bank,
and in exchange, we will pay off your debts. The tzar said: 'No.' Then
he took a step back and said to his circle: 'I think that I have just
signed my own death sentence.'"
Narrator: "Eventually, it culminated in the 1917 Revolution.

"The Rothschilds control many of the influential mass media companies: the French Libération, the British The Economist and The Daily Telegraph, and the national British broadcaster - the BBC. The head of the BBC is Marcus Agius, son-in-law of one of the Rothschilds.

main driving force in a shadowy world government, which has run the
world for centuries. The closed annual meetings of this government, in
which they presumably determine the fate of the world, are called the
Bilderberg club.

about this family. One of the first films was shot back in 1940, in
Germany, at the UFA film studios. The main production center of the
Third Reich movie industry, personally headed by Reich Propaganda
Minister Goebbels, filmed a movie about a Jew - Nathan Rothschild, and
his first business in England in the early 19th century."
Movie Narrator: "'This movie, which is based upon historical
facts, demonstrates how the international Rothschild family paved the
way for a hostile takeover of England by the Jews.'"
Actor One: "May I say that from your perspective, the world is a unified whole?"
Actor Two: "Yes. All you need is a clear vision. Let me show
you something: We are in London, my brother Solomon is in Vienna, my
brother Carl in Naples, and here is England."
Actor One: "And what is this?"
Actor Two: "Jerusalem."
Narrator:"This film is obviously propaganda, that is clear. By
that time, Germany had fiercely bombed London, and all the Jews had
been sent to ghettoes or prisons. Louis Rothschild, arrested in Vienna,
also spent some time in prison, but the family raised a ransom of
200,000 dollars, and gave up its possessions in Czech metal factories.
He was set free, as opposed to hundreds of thousands of other Jews. The
family prefers not to dwell on that part of their history - the tamed
media depicts the Rothschilds as hard-workers and philanthropists.
Indeed, the main motto of the clan is what Nathan Rothschild said in
1815, when he bought up all the British stocks and then toppled the
London stock exchange, when he was the first to hear from his agents of
Napoleon's defeat at Waterloo. The motto is: Whoever controls
information controls the world."
Anti-Semitic incidents in Canada rising highest on record last year: B’nai Brith. (GM).
Anti-Semitism is on the rise in the country, a Jewish advocacy group said Tuesday, calling it a “made in Canada” phenomenon.
B’nai Brith Canada, which has been tracking anti-Semitic incidents for 35 years, said 1,728 anti-Semitic incidents were reported across the country last year — a 26 per cent increase from 2015 and the highest number the group has ever recorded.
“That means an average of four to five incidents of anti-Semitic harassment, vandalism or violence occurring every day in our country, a country where we pride ourselves as being one of the most tolerant in the world,” said the group’s CEO Michael Mostyn.
The numbers, included in the group’s 2016 report that was released Tuesday, were based on phone calls to their anti-hate hotline and police data.
Amanda Hohmann, national director of B’nai Brith Canada’s League for Human Rights, said the organization believes Canadian anti-Semitism is not a U.S. import.
“While some have sought to link the global increase in anti-Semitism to November’s presidential election in the United States, it’s worth noting that the months of September through December actually saw a relative decrease in anti-Semitic incidents in Canada, in relation to previous years,” Hohmann said.
Twenty per cent of the incidents involved Holocaust denial, a sharp increase from five per cent in 2015, she said.
“Unfortunately, Holocaust denial is no longer only coming from its traditional home in the extreme right,” Hohmann said. “More and more, Islamist extremists are also co-opting this position and spreading the rhetoric of denial, especially within Arab-language media right here in Canada.”
Mostyn listed a number of examples, including that of the al-Saraha newspaper in London, Ont., which published a report last summer that Mostyn said simultaneously denied the scope of the Holocaust and argued that any slaughter of Jews by the Nazi regime was justified.
He said the paper was initially promoted as recommended reading by a local government-funded immigrant settlement organization. It was condemned by Ontario government officials who had taken out advertisements in the paper after B’nai Brith brought it to their attention.
Barbara Perry, a University of Ontario Institute of Technology professor who studies hate crimes, said she considers a rise in anti-Semitic events in Canada as part of an increase many kinds of hatred across the Western world, which has also fuelled the rise of far-right political parties.
“It’s really a form of othering across the board, and the Jewish community is one of many targets,” she said.
In particular, anti-Semitism in Arabic-language media in Canada likely has its roots in global conflicts, Perry said.
Perry said Canada has also long had anti-Semitism of its own, traditionally focused on Jewish communities in Toronto and Montreal, which has combined with a global movement to create “a perfect storm.”
B’nai Brith Canada credits Arabic speakers with bringing these incidents to the group’s attention, but Mostyn said it was troubling that only a single Arabic speaker came forward with information in each case. In two Friday sermons delivered at the Al-Andalous Islamic Center in Montreal, Canada, in August 2014, Sheikh Sayyed Al-Ghitawi prayed to Allah to "destroy the accursed Jews" and to "kill them one by one."
"Oh Allah, turn their children into orphans and their women into widows," he said in the sermons, which were posted on the Alrahma Qanat on YouTube.

'Antisemitic' House of Lords event condemned after audience 'blames Jews for Holocaust'. (JCA).
The Israel Embassy in London has condemned an event at the House of
Lords at which audience members compared Israel to Daesh terrorists and
suggested Jews were to blame for the Holocaust.
One man said Zionism was a “perversion of Judaism”, and then implied
an American rabbi had provoked Hitler into murdering six million Jews in
the Shoah, using quotes reportedly taken from a neo-Nazi website.

Another speaker is shown announcing, to applause: "If anybody is antisemitic, it's the Israelis themselves."
The session was run by the Palestinian Return Centre (PRC) and hosted
by Baroness Tonge, the Liberal Democrat member and former MP who now
sits as an independent peer.
It launched what the organisation calls the Balfour Apology Campaign,
ahead of the centenary of the Balfour Declaration next year.
Video footage of the event shows Baroness Tonge listening to the
audience member’s comments about Rabbi Stephen Wise, a leading figure in
the United States in the 1930s.
The man – reportedly a member of the anti-Zionist strictly Orthodox
Neturei Karta sect – claims Hitler was “pushed over the edge” by the
rabbi’s comments, and goes on to talk about boycotts.
Baroness Tonge responds: “Thank you very much. I think it’s very
important that the word boycott has come up. The BDS, the campaign to
boycott Israeli goods and services, and divestment from Israel, most of
us think is very, very important indeed.”
David Collier, a blogger who attended the session, said he was later physically sick.

Abbas' statement that there was no persecution or harassment of Jews in Arab countries is particularly painful to Dr. Edy Cohen.
He was born in Lebanon and served for many years in a variety of positions in the Israeli intelligence community. He is also the son of Chaim Cohen, one of the leaders of the Jewish community in Lebanon, who was kidnapped and murdered along with several colleagues in March 1985 by Hezbollah, which claimed that they were Mossad agents.
Dr. Cohen is today involved with organizations working to gain compensation for Jewish refugees who fled Iran and the Arab countries. He was also a research fellow at the International Institute for Holocaust Research at Yad Vashem. His areas of research include the cooperation between Arabs and Nazis, the life of Grand Mufti of Jerusalem Haj Amin al-Husseini, and the ideology of radical Islam.
Dr. Cohen: "Throughout the book, Abbas presents his thesis, which is actually an indictment against Zionism and its leaders, from David Ben-Gurion and onwards. In effect, Abbas accuses them of being criminals who collaborated with the Nazis and those responsible for the destruction of their people during the Holocaust.
"Abbas claims they deliberately thwarted many missions to save the Jews, inflamed hatred of the Jews by governments in order to fuel vengeance against them and expand the mass extermination - all the while collaborating with the Third Reich."
At the start of the book, entitled "The Other Side: the Secret Relationship Between Nazism and Zionism", Abbas ponders the identity of the other side, the secret partner to the crimes that took place during World War II.
He writes that Western countries "outlined a plan for the final framing of the results of the war, and everything that derives from these. … (T)hey accused the leaders of Nazism of all the crimes that occurred during that war, and persecuted those of them who were still alive, for an unlimited period, without any statute of limitations… thus these countries only dealt with half of the truth, and neglected - deliberately – the second half."
That "second half "of the responsibility for the events of the war is shared by the Zionist movement, who according to Abbas collaborated with the Nazis.
"When one discusses declared Zionist thought … we find that the Zionists believe in the purity of the Jewish race, just as Hitler believed in the purity of the Aryan race. Zionism calls for a fundamental and final solution to the Jewish Question in Europe via their immigration to Palestine. Hitler also calls for this and implements this … David Ben-Gurion defined the Zionist movement as solely a movement of immigration, and anyone who doesn't immigrate is a heretic and not considered a Jew," wrote Abbas.
And why did the heads of the Zionist movement need to connect with the Nazi leadership? The reason, according to Abbas, is that Zionism did not inspire great enthusiasm among the world's Jews before World War II.
For example, he writes: "The Jews of Europe in general and the Jews of Eastern Europe in particular did not adopt Zionism and did not believe in it. The national home for the Jews did not interest them at all. Therefore when the Holocaust was wrought upon them, the free world ignored their fate. But the first to ignore them were the Zionists who lived in Jerusalem, those whose lust for power had blinded them."
Dr. Cohen: "A complete reading of the text of the book shows that according to Abbas, Zionist leaders saw the persecution and harassment of (Jews) as desirable and acceptable – in order to force them to go to Israel. In his opinion, all measures were acceptable to achieve this goal - including collaboration with the Nazis."
In this context, writes Abbas: "It is well known that the motivation of anti-Semitism is persecution and repression, and this is definitely desirable for the Zionist movement. The conclusion from these ideas is that every racist in the world was given the green light, and first and foremost Hitler and the Nazis, to do with the Jews as they wish, as long as it ensures Jewish immigration to Palestine. The Zionist movement did not suffice with just giving a green light – but demanded even more victims, in order to be equal with the victims of other people in the war. This because it believes that raising the number of victims will increase its stock at the end of war, when the spoils are divided."
Thus, according to Abbas, the reason why the Zionist movement refused to act to save thousands of Jews from these countries during the Holocaust was a desire to "increase the amount of victims and receive privileges at the end of the war."

Qatari 'Educational' cartoon Teaches Hatred of Jews: 'They Killed Many Prophets, We will Fight and Vanquish Them' (Memri).
Animated videos posted on the Internet encourage children to hate Jews. The videos were produced as educational software for "Boys and Girls," the children's section of the Qatari government-owned Internet portal Islamweb.net. A large number of the portal's educational videos were posted on various YouTube accounts.
In one video, called "Palestine Is Free," animated figures of children discuss the Jews and their characteristics. "The Jews are cowards," one boy says. "I hate the Jews so much because they cursed Allah." The girl concurs that the Jews are "cowards," adding that they "killed many prophets." After the children vow to fight and vanquish the Jews, the viewers are invited in engage in an activity of identifying Jewish characteristics.
In another video, titled "Our Duty towards Gaza," the children are told that the Jews are "criminals," who mercilessly kill Muslims in Gaza. The animated characters recommend praying for Allah to wreak vengeance upon the Jews. At the end of the video, the children are asked to engage in an activity of identifying ways to support Gaza. Both videos were posted on the Internet on December 17, 2015.
Video - Antisemitic Music Video Glorifies Palestinian & Hamas terrorist Bus Bombings killing Israelis. (Memri).
A music video titled "The Roof of the Bus Goes Flying" was posted on the Internet on February 7. Dancing against the backdrop of a burnt-out Israeli bus, the singers of the Al-Wa'ed Band praise Hamas terrorist mastermind Yahya Ayyash with the words "You did not let a single bus drive through a neighborhood without having chunks of the bus and body parts go flying," and call on "bearers of good tidings" to "wrap the explosive belt around their waists."
The song includes lyrics such as: "We want the dead to fill the streets and the blood to intensify the pain," and "make the fire engulf them, turn them into body parts, roast them." 'Sniper' - New search engine to target anti-Semitism. (Ynet).
The World Zionist
Organization (WZO) is expected to launch its Sniper app, which it says
is a search engine for anti-Semitic content. The Sniper system is
set up to scan the internet using an algorithm that will identify
certain keywords in different languages. A crew of WZO members will scan
the results, confirm the cases that actually show real anti-Semitism,
and respond with direct replies or contact authorities in the offending
party's country.
WZO emphasizes the fact that the app will be monitored and
supervised, so that its use will be proper, and not aimed at shaming
individuals or groups without proper evidence.
It will initially
operate on a trial basis in countries in Latin America, which has seen a
recent rise in anti-Semitism that has not been as well-publicized as
