 Kadyrov obliges Chechen youth to receive "spiritual-moral" passports, Indicating his/her religion and tribal belonging.(CaucasianKnot).

Upon a decision of the head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov, every young person aged from 14 to 35 years shall pass the "spiritual-moral certification", having reported on his/her religion and tribal (clannish) belonging, said the Chechen Parliament.

According to the Chechen MPs, who acted on the instruction of Ramzan Kadyrov, every young person "must obtain a document, indicating his/her personal features, nationality, teip and vird association (teip is a union of families of relatives on the kinship principle; vird is a religious group or community, – note of the "Caucasian Knot").

 The document will also contain "information about the persons responsible for this young guy or girl," says the statement of the Chechen Parliament.

The statement notes that on February 17, an MP Adam Malikov, acting on behalf of the head of Chechnya, "held a meeting with pupils of the Alkhan-Kala secondary school, where he announced the start of certification."

The decision to issue the above passports "was supported by the clergy, and has already entered into force," said one of the Chechen MPs.

Kadyrov refutes rumors about "spiritual-moral certification" in Chechnya
The republic's authorities have no plans to conduct the "spiritual-moral certification" of young people in Chechnya, said Ramzan Kadyrov, thus refuting the information spread earlier by official Chechen mass media.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on February 18, the website of the Chechen Parliament posted a statement that by the decision of the head of Chechnya every young person in the republic aged 14-35 would pass the "spiritual-moral certification", which will fix his/her religion and tribal belonging.

Kadyrov said that earlier he had held a meeting, where it was decided that "local authorities, the clergy and civil society organizations would help law enforcement bodies."

However, the Chechen leader has refuted the information about any "spiritual-moral certification" and issuance of special passports to youngsters.


"Some media report that some new 'passport' will be issued in Chechnya to young people. I remind you that our country has only one passport – the passport of a Russian citizen! Everything else is just fudge!" said Kadyrov.

Russia primarily hunting down Chechens in Syria.. (Naharnet).

While Russian President Vladimir Putin's air campaign in Syria may have other aims, one result seems to be that it is hitting Islamists from Russia's Caucasus, say analysts.

High on the list of places Russia appears to have targeted are positions held by the Al-Nusra Front -- an al-Qaida associate with a high concentration of fighters from Chechnya, Dagestan and Muslim ex-Soviet nations in Central Asia.

At the weekend, Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said the mission aimed at protecting Russia itself.

"It's better to do it abroad rather than fight terrorism inside the country," he said.

Fighters originating from the Caucasus are believed to have first appeared in Syria in summer 2012, notably at the battle of Aleppo.

The men have a reputation for being good warriors and are dubbed "Chechens" by locals even if they come from elsewhere in the Caucasus, a region where Muslims overwhelmingly adhere to the Sunni branch of Islam.

Now there are "at least 2,000 fighters" from Chechnya, Dagestan and other Caucasus regions who operate in Jund al-Sham al-Shishan, alongside al-Qaida affiliate Al-Nusra front, the director of the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights Rami Abdel Raman told AFP.

"They are concentrated in Idlib, Aleppo, and Latakia provinces," he said.

These are the northwestern regions of Syria where Russia's campaign has been concentrated since being launched on September 30.

Other groups with a strong presence of Caucasus fighters include Ajnad Kavkaz (Soldiers of the Caucasus) in Idlib and Latakia, and the Jaish al-Muhajireen in Aleppo, which also includes Uzbeks and Tajiks and is split into al-Qaida and IS-loyal factions.

"The Russians consider it better to concentrate on the Al-Nusra Front where the Chechens and the Caucasians are, since they think the (US-led) coalition is already dealing with IS," said Romain Caillet, a French expert on jihadists.

A video circulated via Russian Islamist websites at the weekend purported to show Chechen fighters calling on Caucasus natives to come back home to wage holy war on Russian soil.

"We have successfully reached home and began searching for everything needed for jihad," a masked man says in the clip. "We ask other brothers to also come home." Read the full story here.

The testimony given by members of the gendarmerie who in early 2014 intercepted Syria-bound trucks that were carrying arms to radical groups has revealed the involvement of intelligence operatives in illegally moving stolen vehicles into Syria to be used by Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) militants.

A gendarmerie officer identified as H.G., who is working in the intelligence branch of the Gendarmerie Ankara Provincial Command, testified during an arraignment hearing last week that they had identified members of the National Intelligence Organization (MIT) as being involved in the trafficking of stolen vehicles bound for Syria during their investigation in 2013.

He said that as part of the gendarmerie intelligence unit they had investigated stolen vehicles in late 2013 and discovered that cars were stolen in İstanbul and then transported to Syria in groups of three to five vehicles with an escort car that had a police license plate. 

“As a result of the investigation, some 20 people were arrested. Three of these suspects were found to have ties to al-Qaeda,” the officer told the court, adding that when they expanded the scope of their investigation they determined that a suspect named A.D. had dealings with members of MİT. Who and what are the ISIS’ special Forces, Caliphate Army or “Dabeq Army”? (raqqa-sl).

Although global media focuses every day on ISIS group, and dozens of TV channels and newspapers are publishing news and every new about the group, but always there are unknown secrets.

ISIS group in its turn also is publishing many propaganda videos and comic reports and news, but always remain careful to hide one thing, which is elite forces or the so-called “Caliphate Army ” or “Dabeq Army”, so why does the group hide this army away from news and newspapers? and who is the army of the Caliphate?

After ISIS control on the areas of the eastern countryside of Aleppo and withdraw from northern countryside, Omar Chechen with Abu Mohammed the American and Abu Ayman al-Iraqi, decided to establish an army and named it “Caliphate Army”.

They began bringing Chechen and Uzbek and African fighters in general, where Jarrah Military Airport “Ksheesh airport in Aleppo eastern countryside” was the basic headquarters for training, in the beginnings the fighters were residing at the airport and when the numbers increased so dramatically, training camps expanded to include the city of Maskana and the camp of Osama bin Laden in the countryside of Raqqa.

In addition to the airport, section of these fighters resides within the camps while the other part lives in Menbij, Al Bab, Jarablus, the dam of Tishrine and Raqqa countryside, the number of this army arrived in the last period to almost 4,000 fighters, but they have not been involved at any battle because their mission was training and nothing else.

This army, who are estimated about 1,500 soldiers, the other sections were distributed in the eastern countryside of Raqqa, the dam of Tishrine and the Iraqi borders, but the army remained secretly and it can be collected at any moment, if necessary.

General commander of this army is Omar Chechen and his aides, Abu Mohammed American who was the ex-leader of the group in A’zaz area and killed recently, and Abu Ayman al-Iraqi, so the military leadership of this army consist of five persons, three are Uzbeks and two of Chechnya, all of them are present in the countryside of Aleppo.

They have a private communication network and private radio equipment, which are separated from the devices used by other members of the group.

Syrians are not allowed to join this army, where its members are selected accurately and with a special recommendation of the religious judiciary, Chechen and Caucasians form about 50% of this army which is considered the elite army of the group.

But it did not participate at any of its battles so far, it seems that the group waiting for the right opportunity to engage the Caliphate Army in its big battles, especially that high military exercises for this army are unprecedented and all fighters are from highly experienced in fighting and battles. Five Russians suspected of preparing an attack were arrested Monday night in Béziers (Hérault), according to the prosecutor of the city, Yvon Calvet.

The five suspects of Chechen origin, were placed in custody and searches took place, do we have the same source. "Products were found during the searches" , explained Yvon Calvet, without specifying their nature. One of those arrested live Béziers and another "probably" in Montpellier, said the magistrate.

Investigators are trying to find the addresses of three other individuals placed in custody. The investigation was entrusted to SRPJ Montpellier. More here.

Putin said Thursday he is sure that Russia and Ukraine will be able to find an understanding in their mutual relations.
"We are all under the oppression of certain emotions, but if we love one another and respect each other, then we must find a way to understand each other. I think that within a family it’s easier to do than between governments, but even within government relations, I'm sure that we’ll find a mutual understanding with Ukraine and that we will never part," Putin said.
Nikolai Mironov, General Director of the Institute of Priority Regional Projects, expressed hope that Ukraine and the international community would heed Putin’s call. Yet the expert noted that a number of factors might prevent the West and Kiev from tuning in to what Moscow says.
“First of all, the Kiev authorities are extremely anti-Russian,” Mironov said. “And given their actions, it is highly unlikely that they are hearing Russia’s calls,” he said, adding that Western governments promote their national interests even while their populations feel differently.
