Obama's BFF Erdogan uses ISIL to start bombing Kurds.....Again. (Rudaw).
DUHOK, Kurdistan Region -- Two injured citizens carried to hospital in the aftermath of Turkish artillery bombardment of Amediye region in Duhok province last night.
Two villagers from Koker village in Duhok’s Berwari region were injured with Turkish artillery shells, said Rudaw’s reporter. One of the victims was 12 years old, and was carried to the State Hospital of Duhok.
The second victim lost his leg in the strikes and was taken into operation room.
Hakurk Mountain near Sidekan town of Duhok was bombarded three times from air and the ground with Turkish artillery last night, 25th July.
Four members of the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) were killed in the strikes and several others were injured, said Rudaw’s reporter.
A resident of Sergil village told Rudaw that their lives were in danger. Many of residents of this village are members of the Peshmerga forces and are fighting the Islamic State (ISIS), “How could they fight in battle while worrying about their families,” said one villager.
Around 400 villagers have been isolated in a remote area in that region due to the shelling, said Rudaw’s reporter.
Turkish caretaker Prime Minister, Ahmed Davutoglu, spoke for one hour with the Kurdish President Masoud Barzani about the objectives of the recent Turkish airstrikes "north of Iraq" in Kurdistan region.
“I talked with Barzani about the goal of the airstrikes that Turkey carried out in the north of Iraq,” said Davutoglu. “Barzani has reiterated coordination with Turkey.”
“There are still threats in Qandil against Turkey,” said Davutoglu, who also added, “I told Barzani that this operation is not against any ethnicity of northern Iraq.”
Last night on July 25 Turkish warplanes and artillery bombarded bases of the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) south of Turkey and in Kurdistan Region.
Turkey also launched a nationwide search operation arresting suspects linked to the PKK, the Islamic State (ISIS), and the Revolutionary People's Liberation Party–Front (DHKP/C) and have arrested 300 individuals so far. Hmmmm.....Just like the 'Armenian Genocide' this will never have happened in Turkish history books.

Egypt Accuses Turkey of Subversion: captured Turkish intelligence officers cooperating with ISIS in Sinai.
Egypt Accuses Turkey of Subversion: captured Turkish intelligence officers cooperating with ISIS in Sinai . (IMRA).
Egypt Accuses Turkey of Subversion Col. (ret.) Dr. Jacques Neriah
Jerusalem Issue Briefs Vol. 15, No. 22 July 14, 2015 Institute for Contemporary Affairs Founded jointly with the Wechsler Family Foundation http://jcpa.org/article/egypt-accuses-turkey-of-subversion/
-The Egyptian military revealed on July 8, 2015, that it had captured Turkish intelligence officers who were actively involved in the guerrilla war waged by the Islamic State in Sinai and inside Egypt itself against the Sisi regime. -
The Turkish National Intelligence Organization (NIO) operatives named included Col. Ismail Aly Bal (described as a coordinator of battlefield operations), Diaa al-Din Mehmet Gado, Bakoush al-Husseyni Youzmi and Abdallah al-Turki.
-On July 12, the Egyptian military spokesman announced the uncovering of a “terrorist cell” whose instructions were given by the Muslim Brotherhood headquartered in Turkey and whose mission was to destabilize Egypt.
-If the facts revealed by the Egyptian military are correct, this would dramatically confirm the links between the Turkish regime and the Islamic State militants, as well as with other jihadist groups fighting in Syria and Iraq.
-Israeli military intelligence said that Turkey allowed the establishment of at least three training camps for jihadists on its territory bordering Syria and Iraq under the supervision and guidance of Turkish intelligence.
-Turkey and Egypt have been at loggerheads since President Mohammed Morsi of the Muslim Brotherhood was ousted by Field Marshall Abdel Fattah el-Sisi in what Turkey considered a “coup d’tat.” Part of the Muslim Brotherhood leadership found refuge in Turkey.
A further escalation occurred in the already over-strained relations between Turkey and Egypt when the Egyptian military revealed on July 8, 2015, that it had captured Turkish intelligence officers who were actively involved in the guerrilla war waged by the Islamic State in Sinai and inside Egypt itself against the Sisi regime.
The Egyptian website Egypt Daily News1 provided the names of Ismail Aly Bal (described as a colonel in the Turkish National Intelligence Organization (NIO) and coordinator of battlefield operations), Diaa al-Din Mehmet Gado, Bakoush al-Husseyni Youzmi and Abdallah al-Turki — also NIO operatives — without any further comment by the Egyptian military on the Turkish role.
The only comment in the statement said that the names published leave no doubt of foreign involvement in the latest attacks in Sinai against the Egyptian Armed Forces. The statement also mentioned the fact that Kornet anti-tank missiles fired during the confrontations against the Egyptian army originated from Iraq, Lebanon and Syria, “which leaves now no doubt again of the countries and terrorist groups involved in the fighting against Egypt.”2 However, the statement stopped short of pointing a finger at Turkey, leaving, so it seems, the interpretation of the Turkish involvement to the reader.
Adding fuel to the flames, on July 12, the Egyptian military spokesman announced the uncovering of a “terrorist cell” whose instructions were given by the Muslim Brotherhood headquartered in Turkey and whose mission was to destabilize Egypt.3
Assuming the facts revealed by the Egyptian military are correct, this would dramatically confirm the often-denied fact by Turkish officials of the existing links between the Turkish regime and the Islamic State militants, as well as with other jihadist groups fighting in Syria and Iraq. Turkey has been accused of assisting the jihadists by facilitating fighters’ border crossings to Syria and Iraq. Turkey has been tolerating jihadists’ presence in Antakya wearing garments of the Islamic State, while some travelers to Istanbul reported seeing artifacts looted by the Islamic State on sale there.
Israel’s military intelligence chief claimed that Turkey allowed, under the supervision and guidance of Turkish intelligence, the establishment of at least three training camps for the jihadists on its territory bordering Syria and Iraq; some sources indicated that Turkey had adopted a jihadist organization and trained it on an exclusive basis in order to fight the Assad regime. The Kurds have lately accused the Turks of letting Islamic State fighters penetrate the Kobani defenses in northern Syria from the rear by letting the jihadists cross the border from Turkey and attack the Kurds from behind.4
However, unlike the rumors about Turkey’s role in Syria and Iraq, the case in Egypt is different: Turkey and Egypt have been at loggerheads since President Mohammed Morsi, the faithful offspring of the Muslim Brotherhood, was ousted by Field Marshall Abdel Fattah el-Sisi. Turkey, which had applauded the ascent of the Muslim Brotherhood to power, considered Sisi’s move against Morsi as a “coup d’état” and qualified his regime as illegitimate.
Egyptian media have been adamantly critical of Turkey’s diplomatic efforts against Egypt, pointing to the fact that part of the Muslim Brotherhood leadership found refuge in Turkey, from where it held hostile agendas meant to destabilize the Sisi regime.5
Since then, the two states have been waging a diplomatic war against each other, trading insults while drastically downgrading their diplomatic representations with the withdrawal/expulsion on November 23, 2013 of their respective ambassadors. Turkey consistently tried to isolate Sisi and his government from the international community using every forum possible, according to the Middle East Eye.6 In August 2013 Turkey asked the UN Security Council to impose sanctions on Egypt. Pope Francis had to listen to a lengthy lecture given to him by Erdogan telling him he should not have received Sisi because it boosted the Egyptian leader’s international legitimacy.
Erdogan went as far as claiming in August 2013 that he had evidence proving Israel’s involvement in the removal of President Morsi from power.7 In February 2015, following the Giza Criminal Court’s sentencing of 183 defendants “to death on charges related to the deadly violence which broke out in the town of Kerdasa in August 2013,”8 Egypt submitted an official complaint to the Turkish Foreign Ministry accusing Turkey of facilitating the airing of “channels inciting terror.”9
Bearing this in mind, and assuming that the facts reported by the military spokesman are correct, this could mean the two countries have reached an unprecedented degree of hostility.
This would be the first time Turkey would have ever engaged actively in efforts to destabilize and even topple the Sisi regime, going beyond the criticism of the Egyptian regime as unlawful and Turkey’s Erdogan denouncing Sisi as an “illegitimate tyrant.”
What are the implications of such a new reality?
a. Diminishing Turkey’s role in the Middle East: Since the ousting of President Morsi, the Middle East Eye points out, Turkey has been isolated from other Arab leaders while “diplomatic exchanges virtually dried up in 2014, suggesting that Turkey, instead of fulfilling its ambition to be a leader of the Arab world,” is left with almost no contacts, “particularly [with] the Gulf States and Saudi Arabia.”10
b. The crisis in Turkish-Egyptian relations has had serious costs in the increased cooperation between Egypt and the Greek Cypriot government in Cyprus“over prospecting for oil and natural gas in the seabed of the eastern Mediterranean and setting up new transit routes and pipelines.”11
c. Being involved in subversive activities in Egypt while being accused as a sponsor and active assistant of the Islamic State and other jihadist organizations could have dire implications for Turkey’s relations with the U.S. administration and in the U.S. Congress.
Even if President Sisi’s regime is not exactly what the U.S. administration would have wanted to see in Egypt, still, Sisi cannot to be compared in any way to the Assad regime in Syria, and no justification exists to accept Turkish- IS cooperation in waging terrorist acts against civilian and military targets in Sinai and inside Egypt. Hmmmm.....Can we call 'Islamist' Turkey now 'state sponsor of terrorism'?

Video - Comedian from Saudi Arabia TV show receives death threats for mocking Islamic State group. (AP).
A new TV satire program has become a hit in the Arab world by mocking some of the region's most serious issues, from the intractable Sunni-Shiite divide and religious extremism to the brutality of militants like the Islamic State group.
The show, "Selfie," has also brought a backlash. Islamic State group sympathizers have made death threats against its Saudi star and top writer on social media. One mainstream Saudi cleric denounced the show of heresy for mocking the country's ultraconservative religious establishment. That has made it the buzz of the current Muslim holy month of Ramadan, which is the peak television viewing season in the Middle East.
Naser al-Qasabi, the series' star, and its writer Khalaf al-Harbi told The Associated Press in their first interview with foreign media that they expected the backlash, but weren't prepared for the popularity. It's one of the top shows on MBC, the privately owned Saudi network that airs it, and has been the talk of the Gulf press.Read the full story here.

'Neo Ottoman Conqueror' Turkey accepts US demand to use Incirlik Base for coalition airstrikes.
'Neo Ottoman Conqueror' Turkey accepts US demand to use Incirlik Base for coalition airstrikes. (Stratfor).
On Tuesday, the United States and Turkey began talks involving special U.S. presidential representative Gen. John Allen and a host of U.S. and Turkish military and intelligence officials. The two countries have struggled to forge a common strategy in response to the Syrian conflict and a burgeoning jihadist presence perhaps best exemplified by the Islamic State. The United States has long wanted Turkey — a NATO member and arguably the most capable military power in the region — to step up its role against militants, much to Ankara's consternation.
At the meeting Tuesday, Washington and Ankara made progress on several key points, including the United States using Turkey's Incirlik air base in Adana as a staging ground for coalition airstrikes in Syria, and discussions about Turkey's role in combating the Islamic State.
But more important, the talks covered Ankara's plan for establishing a "safe zone" inside Syrian territory to support and protect rebel groups that are fighting not only jihadists, but also Syrian government forces. No plans have been finalized, and the U.S. delegation is expected to remain in Turkey through Wednesday night.
Still, the talks are one of the strongest signals yet that Ankara may be ready to take on a larger regional role and cooperate more closely with the United States on opposing militant threats such as the Islamic State. Moreover, troop movements indicate that Turkey is serious about at least controlling its border with Syria, disrupting Islamic State supply lines and maintaining an option to move into Syria if needed.
Turkey will thus seek U.S. backing for initiatives that will run contrary to regional Arab ambitions. And though Ankara and Riyadh have streamlined their support for rebels in the short term and are united by a common goal of defeating al Assad, they have strongly competing visions of Syria's future.
Even as Washington has to balance its Syria strategy with its negotiations with Iran, the United States will struggle to facilitate a larger regional role for Turkey and not disappoint Sunni Arab states that have already balked at the premise of a U.S.-Iran rapprochement. Despite these difficulties, however, it appears that at least Turkey is seriously reconsidering what its role will be in the emerging Middle East balance of power, with signs pointing to more action. Hmmmm.....It seems like Erdogan's BFF Obama has agreed with Turkey's 'occupation' plans for Syria, let the carve up of Syria begin, May god have mercy on the Kurds. Read the full story here.
'Sometimes NATO Ally' - Twelve Detained ISIL terrorists released by Turkish court.
'Sometimes NATO Ally' - Twelve Detained ISIL terrorists released by Turkish court. (TZ).
A group of 12 individuals who have ties to the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) and who were detained while entering Turkey from Syria have been released by a court, despite the fact that officials knew of the individuals' connection to the militant group, one of the detainees told a daily on Tuesday.
The group was detained on June 26 at the Çobanbey border outpost in Kilis province and has since been released by the Kilis Criminal Court of Peace.
C.A., one of the 12 released by the Kilis court, spoke to the BirGün daily on Tuesday and said that they had fought in the ranks of ISIL for nine months.
C.A. also said he and others in the group, which included three women and five children, were interrogated by a prosecutor and officials from the National Intelligence Organization (MİT) after their detention at the border.
According to C.A., although he repeatedly denied that he had joined ISIL's ranks during his initial questioning, the prosecutor and the other officials interrogating him already knew of their link to ISIL.
C.A also said that the prosecutor had referred him to the Kilis court for arrest for having ties with ISIL.
The fact that they were apprehended by soldiers in the Elbeyli district of Kilis reportedly surprised C.A., as he said he has crossed the border going in and out of Turkey freely over the past nine months.
In the meanwhile, two of seven suspected members of the ISIL arrested after police raids at separate locations on last Wednesday believed to belong to the militant group have turned out to be members of the Justice and Development Party (AK Party), according to a local media report.Hmmm.....Anyone still doubting who's ISIS 'Sugar Daddy'? The images broadcasted by the state run and AKP controlled Anatolian Agency showing the moment of the explosion carried out by ISIS gangs, who infiltrated into Kobanê early this morning, have surprised many people as doubts arose why the AA was watching the town at that hour and from that particular point. Doubts arose whether the attacking ISIS gangs serviced the images to AA.
Many journalists asked “Why were AA reporters present at the scene at 04:00 in the morning?”
The editor of Gündem Newspaper Sedat Yılmaz said that over 100 reporters of the Kurdish media are on the ground in the region, while it was only the AA who could capture the moment of explosion.
Sedat Yılmaz wrote on Twitter: “Why was the AA observing the region at that hour? What is the reason for AA reporters monitoring of Kobanê at 04:00 in the morning?
Did ISIS gangs service those images? If the AA did not have immobile cameras at that particular point, how come the images are so clear and focused exactly on the target?
Yılmaz also denounced the idea that the images might have been captured by security cameras and said: “I tell it as a journalist, those images are not from a security camera, those are captured by a human being”. Hmmmm........Smile you are on camera.

'Islamist' Turkish gov’t plotted with Syrian Turkmen smuggler in Syria.
'Islamist' Turkish gov’t plotted with Syrian Turkmen smuggler in Syria. (TZ).
More details have emerged on a key operative named Haisam Toubaljeh, also known as Heysem Topalca in Turkey, who has been a crucial figure, a Syrian Turkmen who is suspected of involvement in recruiting foreign fighters and smuggling arms to Syria. Prosecutors have said they traced this man's footprints to the twin bombings in the Turkish border town of Reyhanlı, which claimed the lives of 53 people on May 11, 2013.
Accordingly, two suspects who stood trial as part of an investigation into the Reyhanlı incident said what they claimed to be a Turkish official named Toubaljeh had pushed them to mastermind the attack. The attack came only five days before then-Prime Minister and current President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's scheduled visit to Washington to meet US President Barack Obama in the White House. If MİT was involved in staging the Reyhanlı bombing through the contractor Toubaljeh, one may naturally draw the conclusion that the attack was deliberately planned as a false flag operation to prod the US into a military engagement in Syria to oust President Bashar al-Assad from power.
Toubaljeh's name also surfaced in May 2013 in the case of 12 members of Syria's militant al-Nusra group arrested in connection with the seized chemical materials that could be used to make sarin gas (also known as nerve gas), which was going to be used in a bomb attack on Turkish soil.
The ringleader of the network was a man identified as Hytham Quassap, another name allegedly used by Toubaljeh. He was arrested by Turkish police but let go in July 2013. Toubaljeh is believed to have been involved in numerous cases of smuggling as well as the transfer of almost 1,000 rocket heads to Syria, which were intercepted in November 2013 in Adana by security forces.
According to Turkish police intelligence, Toubaljeh moved in and out of Turkey hundreds of times between 2011 and 2014 and remains at large despite the fact that he was detained several times by law enforcement agencies. He has a criminal record in police department files for involvement with al-Qaeda and his smuggling network. He must have powerful friends in the Turkish government who always rescue him from legal troubles when needed.
His codename in Syria is Hadji, a reference to an honorific title given to Muslim pilgrimages. He is reportedly the leader of a Turkmen unit known as al-Huva Billa that is active in the Kastav and Bayt Milik areas of Syria.
Given that he reportedly works with al-Qaeda, ISIL, Nusra and all type of radical groups in Syria as well as with the notorious Turkish intelligence.Toubaljeh must have developed quite a network of friendship with Islamists in Turkey and its immediate neighborhood as a smuggler who get things done and delivered.
The veteran prosecutors who unmasked this shadowy guy are in jail because his masters in the Turkish government are afraid of exposing themselves and the dirty plans they allegedly plotted against this nation, including murdering dozens of innocent civilians in cold blood in order to advance their political goals.Read the full story here.

Syrian Army Within 9 km of the Ancient City of Palmyra. (almasdarnews).
In late April of 2015, the Islamic State of Iraq and Al-Sham (ISIS) seized the ancient city of Palmyra (Tadmur), along with the vast majority of oil pipelines in the eastern countryside of the Homs Governorate after a surprise offensive in both Syria and Iraq caught the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and the Iraqi Security Forces (ISF) off guard.
For over one month, the militants from ISIS pushed west towards the provincial capital of the Homs Governorate, leaving many Syrians fearful of a potential attack by the terrorist group at this densely populated city; however, the Syrian Arab Army and National Defense Forces (NDF) were able to forestall this advance near the Tiyas Airbase.
ISIS’ failure to capture the Homs Governorate’ most imperative airport (Tiyas Airbase) has paid dividends to the Syrian Armed Forces, who have in-turn, launched a counter-assault from their positions at Jabal Al-Sha’ar (Poet Mountains).
With support from the Syrian Arab Army’s “Liwaa Suqour Al-Sahra” (Desert Hawks Brigade), the Tiger Forces (Qawat Al-Nimr) have arrived just-in time to push south from the town of Jazal to the ISIS-occupied city of Palmyra; this was confirmed after pictures of Colonel Suheil Al-Hassan and members of the Tiger Forces surfaced on Sunday morning.
After they arrived in the town of Jazal, the Tiger Forces did not waste any time going on the offensive at the Jazal Gas Fields, capturing the western flank of the Jazal Mountains after intense clashes with the enemy combatants from ISIS on Sunday afternoon.
As a result of their success at the Jabal Mountains, the Syrian Armed Forces have advanced south towards the city of Palmyra, leaving only 9km of desert land between their positions and ISIS’ frontline defenses at the Al-‘Amariyah village.
If the Syrian Armed Forces can force the remaining ISIS fighters to retreat from the outskirts of Jazal, they can effectively attack the aforementioned terrorist group at the northern outskirts of Palmyra. Hmmm.....Seems the placing of bombs around Palmyra ruins for when the battle comes too close.

Obama 'Admin' to pay stipends to Syrian fighters against ISIL.
Obama 'Admin' to pay stipends to Syrian fighters against ISIL. (Taz).
The U.S. will pay stipends to Syrian moderates fighting the Daesh terror group, a Pentagon spokeswoman said Monday, Anadolu agency reported.
"We can confirm that Syrian train and equip members will receive stipends while members of the program," said Elissa Smith.
"The trainees are currently receiving a stipend of between $250 and $400 per month, per soldier, depending on skill set, performance and leadership position."
The move comes after top defense officials acknowledged that the program is very slow and experiencing difficulties in finding and vetting fighters.
The stipend is in line with wages in pre-war Syria.
In the first few months of the conflict, the median wage in Syria was about 12,000 Syrian pounds ($255). The minimum wage was 9,975 pounds ($212), according to the Central Administration of Statistics of Syrian government.
The training of the first group of about 90 fighters began last month, Smith said, and while the U.S. has declined to name the countries currently hosting the program, Jordan announced last month that it started training Syrian opposition groups.
The U.S. signed an agreement with Turkey in February regarding the program, and Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Jordan have long said they would contribute.
The Pentagon expects to have 3,000 fighters trained by year's end, Smith added, and the goal is to have 5,400 fighters trained in 12 months.
"For operational security, we will not announce when coalition-trained Syrian opposition forces enter into Syria," she noted.
About 6,000 Syrians have so far volunteered for the training program, but more than 4,000 are still waiting to be vetted, according to Pentagon spokesman Col. Steve Warren
In excess of 1,500 have passed the preliminary screening process, and of the remaining 500, between 100 and 200 have been accepted for training while the rest are no longer a part of the program for various reasons. Hmmmm.............'CHANGE'.......The Kurds are willing to do it for free, just give them the weapons and equipment.

Among the fighters are young women, who chose to defend themselves and their families from the belligerent invaders.
Over 100 Terrorist training camps identified in Iraq and Syria
Over 100 jihadist training camps identified in Iraq and Syria.(LWJ).
The number of training camps operated by jihadists inside Iraq and Syria continues to rise. The Long War Journal has identified more than 100 in the two countries. While not all of these facilities may be currently operational, the proliferation of camps by the Islamic State, the Al Nusrah Front, and other groups poses a regional and global threat.
Since the beginning of 2012, a total of 117 camps have been identified as being operational at one point in time. Of those, 85 have been found in Syria, and 32 in Iraq; 11 are used to indoctrinate and train children.
Some of the jihadist training facilities may no longer be in operation due to changes in fortunes on the battlefield (lost territory, airstrikes, etc.). At least 16 are thought to be closed and 15 to 22 have been hit in Coalition airstrikes. It is unclear if these camps have been destroyed or if they reopened in the same location or elsewhere. It is also likely that there are training sites that have not been advertised.
Information on the camps has been obtained from jihadist videos and images, news accounts, and US military press releases that note airstrikes against the training facilities. Hmmmm......Makes you wonder why so many planes come back with their full load? Read the full story here.

Syrian Kurds plead for Canadian military, financial support in fight against ISIS. (NaPo).
TORONTO — Kurdish leaders appealed Sunday for Canada’s help in Syria, telling an event attended by several Conservative Members of Parliament they needed military and financial support to defeat ISIL.
Appearing by videoconference, Salih Muslim, co-chair of the Democratic Union Party, thanked Canada for conducting air strikes against ISIL but said money would be required to rebuild the devastated regions its fighters have taken back from the extremists.
Sinam Mohamad, the European representative of the Kurdish region of Syria, known as Rojava, also emphasized the need for international assistance to restore centres such as Kobani, which the Kurdish forces retook from ISIL but which lies in ruin.
“I think that participation of Canada in this coalition, it’s very important. It means that Canadians value the principles of humanity and democracy,” she said of the coalition military campaign that includes Canadian CF-18s and 69 Special Forces advisers.
In an interview, she said the Kurds needed heavy weapons and training, but also assistance for hospitals, schools and houses for those returning to their liberated but razed towns. “It’s very important,” she said. “Everybody, they say ‘yes, yes.’ But it’s time to see something concrete.” Hmmmm......I believe it is important for the future and for an eventual 'Independent Kurdistan' that Canada steps up their help to the Kurds, they can't allow a leader like Erdogan dictate who will be in his 'Neo Ottoman Reich'.Read the full story here.
