'Wahhabism Even More Evil than Israel': Hezbollah leader Nasrallah

'Wahhabism Even More Evil than Israel': Hezbollah leader Nasrallah. (IFPNews).

Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah, the secretary general of Hezbollah, made the remark during his annual meeting with Muslim eulogists and the people responsible for commemoration ceremonies during the Lunar month of Muharram, Lebanon’s Al Akhbar newspaper reported on Tuesday.

The Hezbollah chief said he considered Wahhabism to be responsible for damaging Islam’s image worldwide. “Wahhabism is more evil than Israel, especially [in] that it seeks to destroy others and eliminate whatever thing that has to do with Islam and its history,” he said.

Not a Shia, Sunni matter.

“This project was launched in 2011, and it not a Shia and Sunni matter. The role played by spy services is completely evident here. We should use this opportunity to pin Wahhabism down and deal a blow to it,” he added.

The existent conflict, Nasrallah said, was not between Shias and Sunnis, but with Wahhabism.
Wahhabism is the radical ideology dominating Saudi Arabia, freely preached by government-backed clerics there, and inspiring terrorists worldwide.

Daesh and other Takfiri terror groups use the ideology to declare people of other faiths as “infidels” and then kill them.

Nasrallah also said what posed a yet bigger threat than Wahhabism and Zionism was “British Shiism,” which, he said, was being promoted by pseudo-religious figures, whom he called mercenaries of intelligence services.

Hezbollah has been crucial to keeping Wahhabi terrorism out of Lebanon, while helping neighboring Syria in holding back the scourge, too.

The Hezbollah chief said Saudi Arabia had escalated tensions to a climax and was trying, with the help of the US and Britain, to portray conflicts as sectarian.

Referring to the Syrian conflict, he said there were no “moderate” armed groups in Syria, warning that all those fighting Damascus were either working with Daesh or al-Nusra, which has recently renamed itself.

Nasrallah also said he saw no prospect for a political solution for the Syrian conflict. “Developments on the [battle] ground will ultimately determine [the outcome],” he said matter-of-factly.

Syria has been fighting a foreign-backed militancy since March 2011. Hezbollah fighters have been assisting Syrian government forces fighting back the militants, including Daesh and other dangerous groups.

Iran does not give us any orders at all," declared "Nasrallah" in the skit, as he fawningly kissed the hand of an off-screen black-robed cleric, representing Iran. The parody sparked anger among Hizbullah supporters in Lebanon.

Nasrallah in Latest Speech: 'Ammonia plant in Haifa is my atomic bomb'.

Nasrallah in Latest Speech: 'Ammonia plant in Haifa is my atomic bomb'. (YnetNews).

Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah threatened on Tuesday to fire missiles at the ammonia plant in Haifa, which he claimed would cause an explosion similar to that of a nuclear bomb.

Nasrallah had a message for IDF Chief of Staff Gadi Eisenkot, "its simple mathematics. A few missiles on a few ammonium plants equals the same amount of death as an atomic bomb...you can destroy Lebanon and Dahiyeh. You have the strongest airforce, you have missiles, and you have other means by which to do it. But we can do the same thing to you (Israel) with only a few missiles aimed at a few amonium plants."

Nasrallah then quoted an Israeli expert saying that the residents of Haifa are afraid of a deadly attack on the ammonia plant which contains more that 15,000 tons of gas. An explosion there could kill hundreds of thousands of people in the area. The same expert compared the hypothetical attack to a "nuclear bomb."

After the Second Lebanon War, the Haifa municipality ordered a report from a British company, in order to mitigate the risks to the ammonia plant. The report revealed that in the event of a hit on the ammonia plant, it will release a cloud ten miles in diameter, and will cover all of Haifa and Acre. "Researchers who conducted the studies in the 1990's concluded that there could be 70,000 casualties," said professor Amos Natua.
"The State Comptroller released a statement in 2003 that the number will likely be much higher."
The Haifa municipality issued a response to the speech saying "We don't believe that we should run the country based on Nasrallah's arrogant speeches, but we're happy that he put this worrying and important issue on the agenda- even if it is coming from a frightened man who's been hiding in a bunker for the last several years." Top Iraq Cleric al-Sistani Says Saudi Executions an 'Aggression'.

Top Iraq Cleric al-Sistani Says Saudi Executions an 'Aggression' . (Naharnet).

The execution of prominent Saudi Shiite cleric Nimr al-Nimr is an "aggression", Iraq's top Shiite authority Grand Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani said in a statement Sunday.

"We received with deep sadness and regret the news of the martyrdom of a group of our brothers in the region," he said.

"The spilling of their pure blood -- including of the late cleric Sheikh Nimr al-Nimr, may his soul rest in peace -- is an injustice and an aggression," Sistani said.

Other leading Shiite clerics in Iraq have reacted with outrage to the execution on Saturday by the Saudi authorities of Nimr and other Shiite activists.

They were among a total of 47 people, most of them described by the interior ministry as involved in killings by Al-Qaeda.

Moqtada al-Sadr, a well-known cleric who heads the Saraya al-Salam militia, said Nimr's execution was a "horrible attack" against Shiites and called for international condemnation.

Mohammed Taqi al-Mudaresi, another cleric who is based in the holy Shiite city of Karbala, took a harder line.

"The execution of the martyr (Nimr) isn't just a declaration of war against the People of the House (Shiites) but against all Muslims," he said in a statement.

The executions also sparked a wave of anger in neighbouring Iran, where protesters firebombed the Saudi embassy in Tehran.

Hassan Nasrallah to his Hezbollah audience:

"But I’ll tell you. Among the signs […] and signals which guide us, in the Islamic prophecies and not only in the Jewish prophecies, is that this State [of Israel] will be established, and that the Jews will gather from all parts of the world into occupied Palestine, not in order to bring about the anti-Christ and the end of the world, but rather that Allah the Glorified and Most High wants to save you from having to go to the ends of the world, for they have gathered in one place–they have gathered in one place–and there the final and decisive battle will take place."

The YouTube video was published by Yair Rosenberg who also wrote an accompanying article about it and Bibi Netanyahu's quotation of Nasrallah's anti-Semitic statement. Full story here.

Video - Hezbollah is helping Assad fight Syria uprising, says Hassan Nasrallah.

Sayed Nasrallah Speech on Latest Developments - 1 of 4

Hezbollah is helping Assad fight Syria uprising, says Hassan Nasrallah.(Guardian).Leader of Lebanese group hints that Russia and Iran would intervene militarily, declaring that Syria has 'real friends' in region.

Hassan Nasrallah, the leader of Hezbollah, has confirmed for the first time that members of the powerful Lebanese Shia organisation are helping President Bashar al-Assad fight the uprising against his rule – and will stand by him.

Nasrallah – a close ally of Assad – also hinted that Russia and Iran, Syria's principal supporters, would intervene militarily to prevent his defeat.

"Syria has real friends in the region and the world that will not let Syria fall in the hands of America, Israel or Takfiri (extreme jihadi) groups," Nasrallah said in a broadcast on Hezbollah's al-Manar TV channel. "How will this happen? Details will come later. I say this based on information … rather than wishful thinking."

Alluding to concerns about growing sectarianism in the region, Nasrallah that there would be "dangerous retribution" if any harm befell the historic Sayyida Zeinab Shia shrine near Damascus.

Fighting in the Qusayr region inside Syria but close to the Lebanese border, was "not over," he said. Overall, his combative statement was widely seen as a pledge of public support for the Damascus government – and as such an escalation of the already grave crisis.

"Nasrallah just made sure Syria will get a lot worse," commented analyst Emile Hokayem of the International Institute for Strategic Studies. The speech was broadcast as Nasrallah arrived in Tehran to attend an Islamic conference.Read the full story here.

Hezbollah leader Nasrallah makes 'secret' visit to Iran.

Hezbollah leader Nasrallah makes 'secret' visit to Iran.(JPost).The Iranian leadership decided to “put all its weight into the ongoing battle in Syria,” according to Iranian sources quoted by the Kuwaiti daily Al-Rai al-Aam on Friday. The decision was made in order to address the Arab-Turkish role in Syria, which is working to topple the regime of President Bashar Assad.

Iran was counting on key advances on the ground within the next two months, according to the sources, before a meeting between the American and Russian presidents, which will likely deal with the Syrian conflict. Hezbollah’s Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah is scheduled to make a public speech soon after a meeting with Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, the commander of the al-Quds force, Gen.

Meanwhile, the AFP press agency reported that the eastern Lebanese city of Hermel, a Hezbollah stronghold, was hit on Saturday for the first time in the conflict.

Hazem al-Amin, writing on the Al Arabiya website, says that Hezbollah has recently changed its public relations approach to the conflict, now arguing that it is fighting a “pre-emptive war that aims to thwart threats before they extend and reach us.”Hmmmm......"Place your bets....Rien ne vas plus".Read the full story here.

Jewish Leaders Welcome French Move To Designate Hezbollah A Terrorist Organization.

Jewish Leaders Welcome French Move To Designate Hezbollah A Terrorist Organization.(Matzav).Jewish organizations around the world welcomed the French government’s decision to support the designation of Hezbollah as a terrorist organization by the European Union. This follows the declaration by the Bulgarian government of Hezbollah’s responsibility for the attack in Burgas in July, 2012 and the conviction of a Hezbollah operative in Cyprus.

“During the Conference of Presidents Mission to France, we had extensive discussions about this issue with President Hollande, Prime Minister Ayrault, and Foreign Minister Fabius, and found them responsive to the arguments we put forward,” said Richard Stone, Chairman, and Malcolm Hoenlein, Executive Vice Chairman of the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations.

“We hope that other European countries will now follow and join to declare Hezbollah a terrorist organization which would impose restrictions on various dealings and transactions, in which Hezbollah is a party. Hezbollah’s involvement in terrorism around the world continues to increase, including in Syria and other parts of the Middle East.
The designation of Hezbollah as a terrorist organization by the European Union will send an important message about the determination of Europe to deal with terrorism seriously.”Read the full story here.

Video - Hizbullah Secretary-General Nasrallah Threatens Thousands of Missiles All over Israel If It Attacks Lebanon.

Hizbullah Secretary-General Nasrallah Threatens Thousands of Missiles All over Israel If It Attacks Lebanon.
Following are excerpts from a speech delivered by Hizbullah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah, which aired on Al-Manar TV on November 25, 2012.

Hassan Nasrallah: If Israel was shocked and confused when a few Fajr-5 missiles landed on Tel Aviv, I would like to say today – and this may be the first time I say it so clearly, to friend and foe: I want our friends to know that this enemy has been deterred, and I want this enemy to know what will await it if it even thinks about attacking Lebanon.

Israel was shaken by a few Fajr-5 missiles, which could be counted on the fingers of one’s hand, in the course of eight days. So how will it be able to withstand the thousands of missiles that will land on Tel Aviv and elsewhere, if it attacks Lebanon?

Crowds cheer

The confrontation with the Gaza Strip, because of the siege – I’m talking about their capabilities, not about their will… The scope of the confrontation reached between 40 km to 70-80 km. A confrontation with us, however, will encompass the entire length of occupied Palestine, from the Lebanese border to the Jordanian border and the Red Sea, from Kiryat Shmona – hear me well, Israelis – to Eilat.

Crowds cheer

Video - Hizbullah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah: The US Will Be Held Accountable if Israel Bombs Iranian Nuclear Facilities.

Hizbullah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah: The US Will Be Held Accountable if Israel Bombs Iranian Nuclear Facilities.

Following are excerpts from an interview with Hizbullah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah, which aired on Al-Mayadeen TV and was also broadcast on Al-Manar TV on September 3, 2012.

Hassan Nasrallah: If the Israelis behave as if there are no limits to aggression, we too will have no limits. Obviously, anyone could show up tomorrow and claim that Hizbullah has... We do not possess chemical weapons, and we will not use chemical weapons. The use of chemical weapons is prohibited. It is out of the question as far as we are concerned. But in any case, I don’t need chemical weapons, regardless of either the religious or practical aspects. [Israel] has factories, bases, and compounds, while I have missiles. My missiles counterbalance all of this.

Hassan Nasrallah: All options will be available for us. All the options are on the table. Perhaps we will not confine ourselves to defense.
Once, when Barak, the Israeli war minister, said to his soldiers: prepare to enter Lebanon. The day may come when we return to Lebanon" – I said to the mujahideen: "Prepare, the day may come when we enter the Galilee."

That still stands.

Iran will not tolerate an attack on its nuclear facilities. The response will not be limited to the Israeli entity. The US military bases in the entire region may serve as targets for the Iranians.

Reporter: So if Israel targets Iran, even by itself...

Hassan Nasrallah: America will be held accountable for this.

There is a misconception prevalent in the Arab world regarding Israel-US relations. We keep repeating this lie about the Zionist lobby – that the Jews rule America and are the real decision-makers, and so on. No. America itself is the decision maker.
In America, you have the major corporations...You have a trinity of the oil companies, the weapons industry, and the so-called "Christian-Zionism." The decision-making is in the hands of the alliance. Israel used to be a tool at the hands of the British, and now it is a tool in the hands of America.Source: Memri.

Syria transferred chemical weapons last month to Tartus port.

Syria transferred chemical weapons last month to Tartus port.(TI).By Elhanan Miller.he Syrian regime transferred chemical weapons from a storage base near Damascus to the port city of Tartus last month, sparking American and European concerns that the weapons could fall into the hands of Hezbollah in Lebanon or other extremist organizations inside Syria, Kuwaiti daily Al-Rai reported Sunday. On August 20, US President Barack Obama declared that the US would consider military intervention if Syria deployed or used chemical weapons in its possession. British diplomatic sources told the Kuwaiti paper on Sunday that Obama issued the strongly-worded warning following the transfer of weapons from Damascus to Tartus.
On Thursday, The Washington Post reported that US and Middle Eastern officials were concerned that Syria had dispersed its chemical weapons stockpile, considered to be the third-largest in the world, to 20 sites around the country. It did not detail where those sites were. Officials in Israel and the West fear that chemical weapons may fall into terrorist hands in the chaos surrounding Syria’s bloody civil war. They also fear Assad may use the weapons on rebels or transfer them to Hezbollah, the Lebanese Shiite terror group . In a speech delivered on September 3, Hezbollah Secretary General Hassan Nasrallah declared that his organization does not possess chemical weapons and that such weapons are banned under Islamic law, a claim voiced in the past by Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.
Nasrallah’s reference to chemical weapons may have followed pressure from Syria’s ally, Russia. Lebanese daily Al-Nahar reported Sunday that a Russian envoy recently arrived in Beirut and warned Nasrallah against accepting chemical weapons from Syria.
According to the daily, Russian President Vladimir Putin assured Israel that Syria’s chemical weapons will not leave their storehouses. Al-Nahar is staunchly opposed to Hezbollah and aligned with the March 14 movement led by Saad Hariri. The diplomatic sources who spoke to Al-Rai speculated that the weapons were moved to Tartus as part of the Assad regime’s “plan B” to flee to an Alawite-majority region of Syria if the regime is in jeopardy. The ancient port of Tartus, along the country’s coast, is one of the country’s few Alawite majority enclaves. In August, Jordan’s King Abdullah speculated that Assad may try to create a mini-state in the area should he lose control of Damascus.Read the full story here.

Nasrallah: Islam Bans Possession of Chemical Weapons.

Nasrallah: Islam Bans Possession of Chemical Weapons.(Fars).The Lebanese Hezbollah movement strongly rejected the recent allegations made by the US and Israel about its willingness to acquire chemical weapons, stressing that Islamic Sharia (religious rules) forbids possession and use of the chemical weapons."We don't have chemical weapons and we cannot use them for reasons linked to the Sharia and for humanitarian reasons," he said in a live interview with Al-Mayadeen TV channel on Monday, rejecting the accusations that Hezbollah possessed chemical weapons. His remarks came in response to the claims made by some Israeli regime officials in July, who warned against the transfer of missiles and chemical weapons from Damascus to Hezbollah in Lebanon. Also in the interview, Nasrallah noted the Syria crisis and proposed that "a solution (for the) Syria (conflict) cannot be reached unless there is a ceasefire (followed) by dialogue between all Syrian factions".Read the full story here.
