Kadyrov announces his readiness to resign, leave for Jerusalem and spend the rest of his life guarding the Al-Aqsa Mosque.

Kadyrov announces his readiness to resign, leave for Jerusalem and spend the rest of his life guarding the Al-Aqsa Mosque. (CaucasianKnot).

Ramzan Kadyrov is ready to resign and spend the rest of his life guarding the Al-Aqsa Mosque on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. The head of Chechnya has stated this in connection with the conflict situation around the above mosque.

"I myself am ready to resign and serve in structures that ensure the safety of this holy place for Muslims," he wrote in his Telegram, adding that he is against using the war on terrorism as an "instrument of political struggle against Muslims."

On July 14, after the attack on policemen, Israeli authorities reinforced security measures on the Temple Mount by installing metal detectors at the entrance. After that, mass clashes of Palestinians with Israeli policemen led to victims, the RIA “Novosti” reports.

According to the Israeli newspaper “Haaretz”, Muslim leaders found sufficient the concessions of Israeli authorities, who removed the metal detectors and CCTV cameras from the vicinity of the Temple Mount.

US Official Criticizes New Draft of UNESCO Resolution Labeling Israeli Presence in Jerusalem ‘Illegal’.

US Official Criticizes New Draft of UNESCO Resolution Labeling Israeli Presence in Jerusalem ‘Illegal’. (algemeiner).

The latest draft of a resolution entitled “Occupied Palestine” to be voted on this Tuesday by UNESCO, the United Nations cultural agency, has been sharply condemned by a US official.
The resolution – submitted by Arab states Algeria, Egypt, Lebanon, Morocco, Qatar and Sudan –  declares as its aim the “safeguarding of the cultural heritage of Palestine and the distinctive character of East Jerusalem.” The resolution goes on to attack Israel in the harshest terms, stating that all measures taken by the Jewish state in its capital are “illegal” and “null and void.”
“UNESCO is too often used as a vehicle by member states inclined to delegitimize the State of Israel,” the US official told The Algemeiner. “Although several of these anti-Israel resolutions are typically adopted biannually by UNESCO, over time they have become increasingly political in nature and now question Israel’s basic claim to historic sites.”
Although the resolution — a copy of which was obtained by The Algemeiner — reaffirms “the importance of the Old City of Jerusalem and its Walls for the three monotheistic religions,” it continues by asserting that “all legislative and administrative measures and actions taken by Israel, the occupying Power, which have altered or purport to alter the character and status of the Holy City of Jerusalem, and in particular the ‘basic law’ on Jerusalem, are null and void and must be rescinded forthwith.”
The Basic Law on Jerusalem was passed by the Knesset in August 1980. It affirms that “Jerusalem, complete and united, is the capital of Israel.”
The mention in the current draft of the “Holy City” of Jerusalem is a slight modification of the original draft, which read: “Any action taken by Israel, the occupying power, to impose its laws, jurisdiction, and administration on the city of Jerusalem, are illegal and therefore null and void and have no validity whatsoever.” Read the full story here.
"Judaism was founded over 3500 years ago; Islam dates to the seventh century. The resolution flies in the face of both the Bible, bedrock of civilization, archaeological evidence, and scholarship."

Abbas's BFF Pope Francis better releases a new version of the Bible as well.

'Antisemitic' UNESCO refuses to backtrack on 'Muslim Temple Mount'.

SOURCE

UNESCO refuses to backtrack on 'Muslim Temple Mount'. (INN).

UNESCO head calls for 'respect and dialogue' following outrage over its decision, but does not take back saying Temple Mount is Muslim.

The UN cultural body on Monday called for "respect and dialogue" following outrage over its vote divorcing the Temple Mount from the Jewish people, but did not take back its attempt to rewrite history at the holiest site in Judaism.

"Jerusalem is a Holy Land of the three monotheistic religions, a place of dialogue for all Jewish, Christian and Muslim people. Nothing should be undertaken to alter its integrity and authenticity," UNESCO chief Irina Bokova said in a statement.

"Only respect and dialogue can build the trust we need to move forward."

The UNESCO executive board on Thursday adopted a resolution on "Occupied Palestine" presented by several Arab countries.

It referred to Israel as the "occupying power" several times, and only referred to the Temple Mount as Al-Aqsa Mosque, likewise calling the Western Wall by the name Al-Buraq Wall, a term created in the 1920s by Arabs in an ahistorical attempt to claim the site.

The resolution criticized Israel for "excavations and works" in eastern Jerusalem, and urged it to stop "aggressions and illegal measures against the freedom of worship and Muslims' access" to the Temple Mount.

The resolution also outrageously accused Israel of "planting fake Jewish graves in Muslim cemeteries."

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu on Saturday night slammed the resolution as "yet another absurd UN decision."

"UNESCO ignores the unique historic connection of Judaism to the Temple Mount, where the two Temples stood for a thousand years and to which every Jew in the world has prayed for thousands of years. The UN is rewriting a basic part of human history and has again proven that there is no low to which it will not stoop."

Then on Sunday Science Minister Ofir Akunis (Likud) slammed UNESCO for its "boorishness" in a letter to Bokova, noting how the decision shows a "resounding lack of historical knowledge."

Rabbi Chaim Richman of the Temple Institute on Monday issued a sharp response to the decision, which "ignores the Jewish people’s connection to the Temple Mount is another politically-motivated act of revisionist history, obscene even by the standards of this morally bankrupt organization."

"Judaism was founded over 3500 years ago; Islam dates to the seventh century. The resolution flies in the face of both the Bible, bedrock of civilization, archaeological evidence, and scholarship."

UNESCO scrubs Jewish History, Renames Western Wall "Al-Buraq Plaza".

UNESCO scrubs Jewish History, Renames Western Wall "Al-Buraq Plaza". (JBN).

On Friday, the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization’s (UNESCO) Executive Board in Paris adopted a resolution erasing Israel’s ties to the Temple Mount and the Western Wall.

The UNESCO resolution referred to the Temple Mount area solely as the Al-Aqsa Mosque or Al-Haram Al Sharif, ignoring the Jewish claim to the site.

The resolution called Israel “the occupying power” and the Western Wall as Al-Buraq Plaza. It demanded that Israel not restrict Muslim access to the Temple Mount, condemning Israel for “illegal measures against the freedom of worship” at the “Muslim holy site of worship”.

It demanded a return to the “status quo”. The status quo since Israel conquered the Temple Mount in 1967 forbids non-Muslim prayer on the Temple Mount and has remained unchanged.

Blaming “Israel aggression” for the violence at the site, it had no mention of the role of Muslim rioters.

It also condemned the Israel’s plans to establish an egalitarian, non-Orthodox prayer section by Robinson’s Arch.

It accused Israel of “planting Jewish fake graves in other spaces of the Muslim cemeteries” located on Waqf property east and south of the Temple Mount, and of “the continued conversion of many Islamic and Byzantine remains into the so-called Jewish ritual baths or into Jewish prayer places.”.

It referred to Hebron and Bethlehem as solely “Palestinian sites”.

Authorized by the executive board’s Programme and External Relations Commission, the resolution was submitted by Algeria, Egypt, Lebanon, Morocco, Oman, Qatar, and Sudan.
The 58-member board approved the resolution with 33 votes in favor, six against and 17 abstentions. Two countries, Ghana and Turkmenistan were absent all together. Estonia, Germany, Lithuania, Netherlands, the United Kingdom and the US voted against the resolution. France, Spain, Slovenia, Sweden, Russia and Slovenia were among those countries that supported the resolution.
Israeli ambassador to UNESCO, Carmel Shama, released a statement saying, “Even if UNESCO passes dozens of resolutions, and decides to continue passing thousands more, Jerusalem will always remain as part of the capital of Israel and the Jewish people.” Shama added, “As you continue on this path of incitement, lies and terror you will be sending UNESCO down a path towards irrelevance.”

“This is yet another absurd UN decision,” Netanyahu said Saturday. “UNESCO ignores the unique historic connection of Judaism to the Temple Mount, where the two temples stood for a thousand years and to which every Jew in the world has prayed for thousands of years. The UN is rewriting a basic part of human history and has again proven that there is no low to which it will not stoop.” Hmmm.....Rewriting History an Islamist Favorite Pass Time.

Palestinian Authority Ex-mufti forbids Jerusalem’s ‘internationalization’

Palestinian Authority Ex-mufti forbids Jerusalem’s ‘internationalization’. (TOI).

A leading Palestinian cleric has issued a religious edict forbidding the “internationalization” and “Judaization” of Jerusalem.

In a fatwa — or Muslim religious ruling — Jerusalem’s former Palestinian Authority-appointed mufti, Sheikh Ekrima Sabri, wrote that “the internationalization and Judaization of Jerusalem is forbidden and unlawful under Islamic law. It is a sin to assist in the internationalization or Judaization of this city.”

After explaining the importance of Jerusalem as the third-holiest city in Islam, and referencing a similar decree he issued in July 2009, Sabri condemned “those who [would] withdraw from Jerusalem” as people who “withdraw from the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, which is the crown of Jerusalem.”

International agreements “to protect Al-Aqsa” are permissible, Sabri wrote, as long as they do not include the United Nations.

“If an agreement is signed between Arab and Islamic states only to protect Al-Aqsa, there’s nothing wrong with that. This is their duty, as long as the agreement does not internationalize or Judaize, and as long as the UN is not involved.”

Sabri currently holds no official position in the Palestinian Authority, but was a former appointee of the PA’s founding chairman, Yasser Arafat.

Israel recently rejected a Jordanian proposal that would have seen the Hashemite Kingdom begin to oversee visits to the Temple Mount in Jerusalem instead of Israel, Arab sources told The Times of Israel on Monday. Hmmm.........We don't accept man made laws only Sharia. Read the full story here.

“The Muslim Schism Over Jerusalem”

“The Muslim Schism Over Jerusalem” (JCPA).
Amid the systematic destruction of mosques and holy places in the Arab world, it is precisely Israel’s responsibility for security at the mosque compound on the Temple Mount that protects the mosques there from a similar fate.
The Sunni controversy between the Salafis – from whom Al-Qaeda emerged – and the Muslim Brotherhood is about what constitutes the center of Islam. Whereas the Salafis view the Arabian sites of Hijaz and Mecca as the center of the faith, the Muslim Brotherhood locates it at the ancient Cairo Al-Azhar University.
Because Cairo has no special religious holiness, the Brotherhood regards Jerusalem as their religious center. From the Salafis’ standpoint, the Muslim Brotherhood’s enhancement of the special status of Jerusalem poses a danger to the status of Mecca. Jerusalem was at the bottom of agenda for the Prophet and his successors, and Mecca was at the top.
The Palestinian Authority is the weakest force in the Al-Aqsa plaza. In visiting the site recently, the PA minister of religious affairs was almost lynched.
The notion of a “conflict over Jerusalem” immediately brings an association with the Arab-Israeli conflict over the Holy City.

Surprisingly, however, amid the systematic destruction of mosques and holy places in the Arab world, it is precisely Israel’s responsibility for security at the mosque compound on the Temple Mount that protects the mosques there from a similar fate.

To understand the nature of the danger to the Al-Aqsa Mosque, one needs to understand the disputes within the world of Islam over the mosque and over the importance of Jerusalem in general.

Islam is divided into the Shia and the Sunna, but the Sunna is also divided into two main groups: the Salafis and the Muslim Brotherhood. There are other groups as well, such as the Sufis, but that does not concern us in this discussion. Read the full story here.

Court Allows Jewish Prayer on Temple Mount in Jerusalem.

Court Allows Jewish Prayer on Temple Mount in Jerusalem. (INN).

Temple activists were euphoric Monday after a precedent-setting ruling by Magistrates’ Court Judge Malka Aviv in the case of Yehuda Glick vs. the Israeli Police, a day earlier.

The judge ruled that the police “must make sure that Jews are able to pray on the Temple Mount” – in a ruling replete with harsh criticism of the police’s policies on the Temple Mount.

The police are legally bound “to ensure that Jews are able to pray on the Temple Mount, and not to act sweepingly to prevent Jews from praying on the Temple Mount,” the judge determined.

Attorney Aviad Visoly, who represented Glick said Tuesday that the verdict “has made prayer on the Temple Mount ‘kosher’. In essence, the court took the Supreme Court’s rulings about the Jews’ right to pray on the Temple Mount, and implemented them.”

Activists were quoted on a Temple activists blog as saying: “This day will be remembered for generations in the annals of the struggle for the return of Jews to the Temple Mount.” More here.

Melanie Phillips: "Dissecting the Threats to Israel's Legitimacy"

Driving much of the world's anti-Israel hostility is a belief that Israel is illegitimate, both in what Israel is and what it does. VOI's Melanie Phillips discusses the issue of Israel's legitimacy, and the way enemies of the Jewish state attack and undermine Israel, both at home and abroad. Guests Professor Moshe Koppel, Dr. Amir Fuchs, and Ambassador Alan Baker, speak with Melanie as she discusses the arguments for and against a proposed Jewish nation-state basic law, and the case for the legality of Israel's occupation and settlement building in the West Bank.

PA religious leader who promotes religious war to speak on the “need for religious tolerance”.

PA religious leader who promotes religious war to speak to speak at Ben Gurion University on the “need for religious tolerance”. HT: PalWatch.

Mahmoud Abbas' Advisor on Religious and Islamic Affairs Mahmoud Al-Habbash has been invited to speak tomorrow, Dec. 1, 2014, at Ben Gurion University on “Religious Aspects of the Israeli - Palestine conflict and the need for religious tolerance.” This is striking since for years, Al-Habbash has been promoting conflict and war with Israel in the name of Islam, as reported by Palestinian Media Watch.

Al-Habbash recently taught that Islam prohibits accepting Israel's existencebecause the “entire land of Palestine” is Islamic waqf. As such, he forbidsmaking peace with Israel because he believes Islamic law prohibits “facilitat[ing] the occupation of even a millimeter of it”, i.e., “the entire land of Palestine”:

“Al-Habbash emphasized that according to Islamic Shari'ah law, the entire land of Palestine is waqf (i.e., an inalienable religious endowment in Islamic law) and is blessed land, and that it is prohibited to sell, bestow ownership or facilitate the occupation of even a millimeter of it."
[Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Oct. 22, 2014]

When Palestinians refer to “the entire land of Palestine,” they always includeall of Israel.

Al-Habbash has recently said that the Western Wall is also Islamic waqf and that “it is ours and will remain ours. The occupation [Israel] is the one that will leave":

Al-Habbash has also expressed emphatic support for those involved in the recent murderous terror attacks in Jerusalem. He said:

“We are behind them. The leadership is with them. A few days ago, President [Mahmoud Abbas] greeted them, reinforced them and requested more Ribat from them... We are with them in every movement, in every action and every deed, and we welcome what they are doing at the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque.”
[Official PA TV, Nov. 5, 2014]

Al-Habbash expressed his support for “every action and every deed” after two Israelis had already been murdered in Jerusalem.

Al-Habbash has actively fueled religious hatred more than once by voicing the libel that Israel is planning to build the "alleged Third Temple" in place of the Al-Aqsa Mosque:

“In a statement to the press yesterday [April 14, 2014], Al-Habbash said... that the Israeli establishment is seeking to fulfill its dream, with the aim of building what it refers to as the alleged Third Temple in place of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, and of completely altering the heritage and culture of the city and its Islamic light.”
[Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, April 15, 2014]

“In addition, he warned again of the danger of the racist Israeli violations being planned against [the] Al-Aqsa [Mosque]... which confirm that Israel’s aim is to tighten its control over [the] Al-Aqsa, in preparation for destroying it and building their alleged Temple.”
[Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, March 7, 2014]

Finally, last year, Al-Habbash said that the entire peace process with Israel is a deceptive process modeled after Muhammad's Treaty of Hudaybiyyah. Although the Muslim Prophet signed a 10-year peace treaty with the tribes of Mecca, “in less than two years, the Prophet returned and, based on this treaty, he conquered Mecca. This is the example, this is the model,” explained Al-Habbash in a sermon. [Official PA TV, July 19, 2013]

This statement by Al-Habbash explaining that the peace process is modeled after a treaty that led to the defeat of the co-signer was made just days after the last round of peace talks with Israel were announced in July 2013. If “this is the example, this is the model,” then the goal of the peace process is to eventually defeat Israel.

All of Al-Habbash’s statements paint a gloomy picture of the PA as a peace partner. Peace with Israel is prohibited, the murder of Israelis is endorsed, and the purpose of the peace process is to defeat Israel after an agreement is signed.

IDF Chief Rabbi: Nothing is Holy to Muslims on Temple Mount except Al Aqsa.

IDF Chief Rabbi: Nothing is Holy to Muslims on Temple Mount except Al Aqsa.(TJP).

IDF Chief Rabbi Brig. Gen. Rafi Peretz recently told yeshiva students that the Temple Mount has no religious significance to Muslims except for the Al Aqsa mosque.

The Kipa website published a video and partial transcript of Rabbi Rafi Peretz’s lesson to students at the Otsem “mechina,” a pre-military Torah academy.

During his lecture whose focus was on the holiness of Israel, Rabbi Peretz said, “There is no reference to Jerusalem anywhere in the Kuran, not even one hint. The Arabs simply imagine. Ninety percent of them don’t know what is written in the Kuran.

“There is an interpretation that explains something or another in the Kuran about a dream [in which the Prophet Mohammed goes up to the Temple Mount] but this is not even an interpreting but is a fable.”

He added, “The only mosque that is considered holy is Al Aqsa. Nothing else on the Temple amount has any religious significance [to Muslims]. What is the Al Aqsa mosque? It is written in the Kuran, “Make me a house of worship at the edge” – buy the intention is ‘the edge of Mecca.’

“When they [Muslims] bow down on the Temple Mount, their backs are the Temple Mount because the edge is the Saudi Arabia Peninsula.

It is not about land.

It is not about borders.

It is not even Islam vs. Judaism.

It is not even Muslims vs. Jews, because Jews simply are the front line for every other non-Muslim who stands in the way of the radical Islamic insanity to have the world for itself so it can lead it to destruction.

If radical Islam can defeat the Jews, it knows no one else has a chance.

That is why radical Islam wants the Temple Mouton all to itself.

Andi if this offends Muslims, I do not apologize. Read the full story here.

Terrorist group Hamas Creates 'Popular Army' in Gaza to Confront Israel.

Terrorist group Hamas Creates 'Popular Army' in Gaza to Confront Israel. (Fars).

"The first section of the popular army for the liberation of al-Aqsa and of Palestine would consist of 2,500 recruits," a Spokesman for the Ezzedine al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, said at a ceremony at the Jabaliya refugee camp on Friday, press tv reported.

Hamas said the new force is tasked with confronting any future Israeli aggression, particularly against the al-Aqsa Mosque in East al-Quds (Jerusalem).

Mohammed Abu Askar, a Hamas official, also noted that individuals over 20 years old could sign up “to be prepared for any confrontation” with Israel, adding that the popular force has been created “at a moment when the al-Aqsa Mosque is subject to serious Israeli violations.”

The announcement comes as the resistance movement and the people of Gaza are angry over the recent Israeli aggression against Palestinians in the occupied West Bank and the al-Aqsa Mosque.

"Jews must stop Temple Mount visits" Sephardi chief rabbi.

"Jews must stop Temple Mount visits" Sephardi chief rabbi.(TOI).

Sephardic Chief Rabbi Yitzhak Yosef on Friday called on Jews to stop their attempts to visit Jerusalem’s Temple Mount, in order to restore calm to the capital after weeks of violence and religious clashes surrounding the holy site

“We need to stop the incitement provoked by people going to the Temple Mount,” Yitzhak said at the funeral of 17-year-old Shalom Ba’adani, who was critically injured in Wednesday’s car attack in Jerusalem and died of his wounds Friday.

“Jews must not go to the Temple Mount and provoke the Arab terrorists,” he said. “This must be stopped…only in this manner shall the blood of the people of Israel stop being spilt.”

Yosef reiterated the belief held by many senior Jewish figures that visiting the Temple Mount, Judaism’s holiest site, was forbidden by God.

“Fourth-rate rabbis cannot dispute (the rulings of) the sages of Israel,” Yosef stated.

Israel braces for post Friday prayers violence after terrorist group Hamas calls for riots.

Israel braces for post Friday prayers violence after terrorist group Hamas calls for riots.(TOI).

Police were bracing for another heated day in the capital Friday surrounding Muslim prayers on the Temple Mount. Authorities decided, after receiving information on impending riots, that they would limit entrance to the site.

Security forces were spread out in increased numbers throughout the Old City and East Jerusalem, and only men over the age of 35 were being allowed into the al-Aqsa Mosque compound due to intelligence on Palestinian youths’ intentions to foment unrest there. Women of all ages were allowed access.

Economy Minister Naftali Bennett attacked Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s policies in Jerusalem on Thursday night, calling for a widespread operation to root out violence in the capital.

“A government that does not know how to regain deterrence and sovereignty and provide security for its citizens in their capital does not have a right to exist,” said the right-wing Jewish Home party leader.

“When did we become a nation of defense? Concrete barriers, fences and Iron Domes, security personnel on every corner, bomb shelters for every child — it’s time we carried out a ‘Defensive Shield’ in our capital,” added Bennett, referring to the 2002 extensive IDF operation at the height of the Second Intifada, which did much to destroy the West Bank’s terror infrastructure and reduce terror attacks against Israel.

Security officials said Friday they had arrested a rioter who was a former prisoner released in the 2011 Gilad Shalit deal, and whose actions were in direct violation of the conditions of his release.

The man, a 40-year-old resident of the East Jerusalem neighborhood of Tsur Baher, was detained overnight after being identified as a central instigator in a group of rioters. Officials said he would be brought before judges later in the day. Hmmm....You can't make peace with religious extremists trying to kill you.Read the full story here.

Arab MK Zoabi at Temple Mount: Racist Israelis didn't learn from the Holocaust.

Arab MK Zoabi at Temple Mount: Racist Israelis didn't learn from the Holocaust. (Jpost).

"You say we are terrorists and that we want to fight you," MK Haneen Zoabi (Balad) shouted to Border Police blocking her from accessing the area. "We want to live, to pray, to enter our schools, our home, our land. This is terrorism? To live is terrorism? To fight for our right to live is terrorism?"

Zoabi compared the police's behavior toward her to the Holocaust: "Someone did this to you, decades ago. Remember that? Somebody did rule over you and screwed you over decades ago. You did not learn the lesson.

"What is the lesson of the Holocaust? Don't yell and don't be racist, right?" she said. "They killed six million of you, why?"

Other MKs, including Balad leader Jamal Zahalke and Taleb Abu-Arrar of UAL-Ta'al, were blocked from entering the Temple Mount and Al-Aksa mosque when they arrived at the site as part of a High Follow-Up Committee for Arab Citizens in Israel protest, but were allowed in later, along with the general public.

Zahalke and Zoabi accused police of "playing with fire" for entering the mosque, and said they desecrated the place.

"Balad condemns the provocative entry of right-wing people to the Al-Aqsa Mosque scare and the disproportional action of the police. We call for them to immediately leave [the site] and not desecrate the mosque again," Zahalke said.

Knesset Interior Committee chairwoman Miri Regev (Likud) accused Zoabi of inciting to violence, saying "she doesn't miss an opportunity to harm the Jewish People and the interests of Israeli citizens."

Regev called Zoabi a Trojan horse in the Knesset and called for Attorney-General Yehuda Weinstein to remove her parliamentary immunity. Hmmm....It was NEVER about land but religious based hatred.

Palestinian delegation heads for Washington talks in December: official

Palestinian delegation heads for Washington talks in December: official. (Taz).
A senior Palestinian delegation is to head to the United States in December for talks with U.S. officials in Washington on the future of the Middle East peace process, an official said on Thursday, Xinhua reported.
Reyad al-Malki, the foreign affairs minister in the unity government, told "Voice of Palestine" radio that Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry agreed to resume the talks in December.

He said that Abbas and Kerry met in Cairo on Oct. 12 during the donors' conference to rebuild Gaza and agreed that a Palestinian delegation goes to Washington and hold talks with U.S. officials on the Middle East peace.

"The delegation will include Saeb Erekat, the chief Palestinian negotiation and Majed Farraj, the chief of Palestinian intelligence," said al-Malki, adding that "the talks will focus on how to get out the current impasse," al-Malki said.

The U.S. has been sponsoring the direct Israeli-Palestinian talks which stopped last March after it went on for nine months. The talks were suspended following deep disputes between the two sides on the settlement issue.

Al-Malki also said that the Palestinian leadership is exerting all the needed efforts through contacts with the U.S. and other countries to carry out their future political plans.

The Palestinians plan to go to the UN Security Council and demand a resolution that sets up a time schedule for ending the Israeli military occupation of the Palestinian territories occupied in 1967.

The Palestinian officials are still very much concerned over the fact that the U.S. would use a veto vote against a draft resolution that calls for ending the Israeli occupation and establish an independent Palestinian state on 1967 borders. Hmmm.....going for their Christmas present.

MK Moshe Feiglin prevented from reaching Temple Mount, only a small number of Muslim worshipers allowed inside.

Rightist lawmaker prevented from reaching Temple Mount, only a small number of Muslim worshipers allowed inside. (TOI).

A right-wing Knesset member attempted to enter the Temple Mount compound in Jerusalem Thursday morning, a day after a prominent activist for Jewish prayer on the holy site was shot in an apparent assassination attempt.

MK Moshe Feiglin made it to the entrance but was prevented from entering the compound, as police closed the site to all visitors except a small number of Muslim worshipers amid swirling tensions in the capital.

The mostly symbolic visit by Feiglin came about an hour after police killed the suspected shooter of Rabbi Yehudah Glick in a shootout in the East Jerusalem neighborhood of Abu Tor.

“I am saying to you that at this moment, members of the Waqf are on the Temple Mount,” Feiglin, a Likud MK and friend of Glick’s, told reporters. “The assailant achieved his goal — keeping Jewish worshipers from the Temple Mount.”

He was joined by other right-wing activists at the site. Feiglin had called for an en masse march on the Temple Mount as a response to the shooting attack on Glick, who remained in the hospital in serious but stable condition Thursday.

“The scene of Muslims praying on the Mount while I, a representative of the sovereign power, a member of the Knesset, am prevented from going up to the Mount, is the victory picture for the shooter and those who sent him,” he wrote on his Facebook page at 8:30 a.m.

“I am here at this moment at the gate to the Mount, demanding that Prime Minister Netanyahu change the picture. Today, the mount needs to be open only to Jews.”

On Thursday morning, a police anti-terror unit raided a home in Abu Tor, killing a man they said was responsible for Glick’s shooting.

According to the police, counter-terrorism officers arrived at the suspect’s house and attempted to arrest him when they came under fire. They returned fire and confirmed they killed the suspect.

Following the incident, right-wing lawmakers called on Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to take a tougher stance in the capital.

Economy Minister Naftali Bennett, from the Jewish Home party, demanded that Netanyahu return “Israeli sovereignty to Jerusalem.”

“Security is delivered through actions, not talk. An attack in the heart of Jerusalem is a red line.” he said.

Housing Minister Uri Ariel (Jewish Home), a proponent of a Jewish presence in east Jerusalem, said that the bullets fired at Glick “were aimed at all Jews who wish to pray on the Temple Mount.”

Ariel also called on Netanyahu to open the site to Jewish worshipers, as did the party’s MK Ayelet Shaked. Read the full story here.

Video - Jerusalem - Planning for Third Temple With Help From Web.

Jerusalem - Planning for Third Temple With Help From Web.HT: Forward.

An organization based in Jerusalem is working on a detailed architectural blueprint for the Third Jewish Temple on Jerusalem’s Temple Mount — and has turned to the internet for help with the controversial project.

“It is not enough to wait and pray for the Third Temple,” the statement added. “It is a Biblical obligation to build it.”

According to Rabbi Chaim Richman, the institute’s international director, the temple would stand in the present location of the Dome of the Rock, a Muslim shrine. Muslims revere the mount as the Haram al-Sharif, or Noble Sanctuary.

That makes the concept anathema to the Islamic world and would likely spark widespread worldwide controversy if it ever got off the ground.

Richman did not set a target date for breaking ground for the construction project. The temple will be built, he told JTA, when “the world will want us to build the temple.”

“The Jewish people have a responsibility to all of humanity, including Islam,” Richman said. “I don’t expect it to come about through any sort of confrontation or any sort of military maneuver. The Jews have to represent good in the world, light in the world.”

The Indiegogo campaign is tied to the upcoming fast of Tisha b’Av, which mourns the First and Second Temples’ destruction. Richman quoted the verse in Isaiah calling the temple “a house of prayer for all nations.”Read the full story here.
