Video - A member of the activist group Femen staged a mock hanging off a bridge in Paris to protest Rouhani.

A member of the activist group Femen staged a mock hanging off a bridge in Paris to protest Rouhani. (Femen), HT (BusinesssInsider).

The champion of public executions Hassan Rohani is welcomed today in Paris by Francois Hollande, as well as FEMEN activists.

While Rohani is shaking hands with French diplomats, FENEN was preparing a very special message just for him. The sextremists are pleased to accommodate the Iranian president and want him to feel just like at home: so they performed the hanging of the Debilly Bridge, and wrote a postcard: “Welcome Rohani, executioner of freedom”!

In Iran, about 800 people are killed by the death penalty each year and thousands are rotting away in Teheran’s Evin prison death cells. Amongst them: feminists, gays, minors, progressive thinkers accused of criticizing a theocratic regime. Read the full story here.

FEMEN activists stage a protest against flogging of Raif Badawi outside SKA Embassy in Paris.

FEMEN activists stage a protest against flogging of Raif Badawi outside SKA Embassy in Paris.(Femen).

There is no demand but freedom, and Raif Badawi is it's messenger.

Killing for drawing or flogging for blogging in the name of religious morals is becoming a routine for our time. After terrible massacre of brave free thinkers of Charlie Hebdo, another messenger of free speech is facing cruelty of Islam. Saudi arabian blogger Raif Badawi was sentenced for 10 years in jail and 1000 lashes for setting up a secularist website. Officially, Badawi is charged for insulting Islam and showing disobedience to Islamic regime.

Today, after Friday prayer Raif will be brought in front of a mosque where he will receive 50 lashes in front of a public. This religious torture will last for 19 weeks as Raif Badawi was expressing his secular ideas on Internet.

Today, FEMEN activists come to Saudi Arabian embassy in Paris to celebrate Badawi's ideas and braveness with high respect. Topless infidels of FEMEN are giving 50 lashes to the Saudi Arabian representatives as a revenge for attacking humanism in the face of Raif.

The "Kingdom of terror" will not escape from secularists ideas by it's violence, but only will inspire their manifestations. Stop religious torture! Free Raif Badawi! Celebrate his ideas! Hmmm....For those interested the video can be found here.....Just remember the message!

Femen member who took Baby Jesus from Vatican crib, held and to be judged by the Vatican.

Femen member who took Baby Jesus from Vatican crib, held and to be judged by the Vatican? (Aleteia).[GoogleTranslate].

Femen activist who tried to steal the Christmas statue of baby Jesus in the manger of St. Peter's Square will perhaps learn the hard way.

In fact, stopped immediately, she was detained by the Vatican Gendarmerie.

The Vatican is legally free to decide to judge on its territory for "insulting, obscene acts in a public place and theft", as confirmed in person the Vatican spokesman. This activist remain in cell until it is heard by a judge to answer for her actions following his arrest in the act.

This act, committed in St. Peter and the day of Christmas, intentionally aimed at hurt the religious feelings of many faithful present. It "should be regarded as particularly serious because of the location and circumstances, because it intentionally offend the religious feelings of many people," stressed Father Federico Lombardi.

He also recalled that three other activists of this pseudo-feminist splinter group had already cracked St. Peter's Square on November 14 to protest in their own way (vulgar) against the visit of Pope Francis in the European Parliament.

"It therefore seems legitimate act with appropriate rigor against these repeated acts that intentionally to the right of believers to see their legitimate religious beliefs respected, " has said Father Lombardi.

The Vatican will be finally lenient in this matter? It is permissible, in the light of these statements, to doubt it. Hmmm......Will it be 1. "Justice is mine says the lord" or 2. Forgive them for they do not know what they do? Read the full story here.

 Update: Bild [GoogleTranslate].

The judge said the arrest was lawful, the woman was  then subsequently released and given a trespassing order ban.

You should respect the territory of the State of Vatican City, St. Peter's Basilica and not enter "other public places within the territory of the Holy See, the spokesman said.

It was not the first action of Femen activists in the Vatican. But the arrest was the sharpest approach of the mini-state. In previous demonstrations of this kind in St. Peter's Square, last November 14, the Vatican had transferred the women of the Italian police.

Topless FEMEN activists protest in front of........Iranian embassy.

Topless FEMEN activists protest in front of........Iranian embassy.(Khaama).

A group of topless FEMEN activists protested against the execution of a woman in front of the Iranian embassy in Berlin.

The young women condemned the Iranian government for executing Reyhaneh Jabbari and expressed their frustration with the Sharia Law. The 26-year-old Reyhaneh Jabbari was hanged on Saturday after she was convicted in 2009 of murdering a former Iranian intelligence official she accused of raping her.

She was hanged to death despite repeated calls from Amnesty International and United Nations to halt the execution.

The Amnesty International described the execution as “deeply disappointing in the extreme”. Jabbari had failed to secure a reprieve from the dead man’s relatives within the 10-day deadline set by sharia law in force since the 1979 Islamic Revolution. Hmmm....For once they did choose a good cause.

The FEMEN activists protested topless on a boat trip to Paris this Friday. The twelve women who participated in the action punch and wanted to show their solidarity with the imprisoned members of Greenpeace Russia.

They were both in the parade Thursday Nina Ricci but a dozen Friday to sail on the Seine. Feminist activists FEMEN have indeed shown topless date shortly before 13 hours on a boat on the Seine in Paris in solidarity with members of Greenpeace imprisoned in Russia.

At the foot of the Eiffel Tower

They were deployed on the side of the boat a banner "Militancy is not piracy" ("Activism is not piracy"), in reference to the charge of piracy uttered by Moscow against a commando the environmental group Greenpeace arrested after trying to approach a platform Russian giant Gazprom in the Arctic to denounce oil development projects in this area.

Tunisia's Amina quits Femen, accuses group of Islamophobia, fears Israeli involvment.

Tunisia's Amina quits Femen, accuses group of Islamophobia, fears Israeli involvment.(AlAhram).
Amina Sboui, a Tunisian activist who was detained for nearly three months, said on Tuesday she had left the radical women's protest group Femen, accusing it of Islamophobia.
"I do not want my name to be associated with an Islamophobic organisation," she told the Maghreb edition of the Huffington Post.
"I did not appreciate the action taken by the girls shouting 'Amina Akbar, Femen Akbar' in front of the Tunisian embassy in Paris," Sboui said.
Those chants were a parody of Allahu akbar (God is greatest), a phrase frequently used by Muslims to express their allegiance to and praise of God.
Amina also criticised the burning of the black Tawhid flag, which affirms the oneness of God, in front of a mosque in Paris.
"That offends many Muslims and many friends of mine. We must respect everyone's religion," she added.
The Femen protests took place as Sboui was being held in pre-trial detention for painting the word "Femen" on a cemetery wall in protest at a planned meeting of radical Muslim Salafists in May in the central city of Kairouan.
She was finally released at the beginning of August pending her trial for desecrating a cemetery.
The young woman also criticised the lack of financial transparency of Femen, the movement founded in Ukraine and now based in Paris, which has become famous for its topless protests against dictatorship in support of women's rights.
"I don't know how the movement is financed. I asked (Femen leader Inna Shevchenko) several times, but I didn't get a clear answer. I don't want to be in a movement supported by suspect money. What if it is financed by Israel? I want to know."
Amina, who now calls herself an "anarchist", sparked both scandal and a wave of online support earlier this year after she was threatened by Tunisia's increasingly assertive hardline Islamists for posting topless pictures of herself on Facebook.
At the end of May, three Femen activists -- two French and a German -- were arrested, and eventually freed, for bearing their breasts outside the main Tunis courthouse, in a demonstration of support for Amina.
Just last week, Sboui published a new topless picture of herself on the Internet lighting a petrol bomb with a cigarette.

'Obama help FEMEN!' Two women arrested in Berlin topless protest.HT:DailyMail.

FEMEN activists this morning staged a bare-chested protest in Berlin ahead of a planned speech in the city by Barack Obama.
Two women dressed only in denim hotpants struggled with riot police in the German capital's Tiergarten district, near to where the President will speak this afternoon. Across their breasts and bellies was written the slogan: 'Obama help.'
In a statement emailed to the MailOnline, FEMEN explained that the protest was a call for Obama to intervene to free activists held in Tunisia and help advance the emancipation of women in the Middle East. 'FEMEN appeal to the leader of world democracy the president of USA Barack Obama about the violation of human rights in the Middle East and ask to contribute to the release of Tunisian prisoners of FEMEN,' it said. 'Obama help FEMEN!'
Pictures showed the two German activists struggling with heavily armoured riot police officers near the Brandenburg Gate, where Obama will appear this afternoon. They appeared to scream and fight with the officers, who took care to grip them only by their arms as they led them away from crowds of astonished onlookers.Read the full story here, more foto's here.

European topless Femen protesters could face jail time in Tunisia, lawyer says.

European topless Femen protesters could face jail time in Tunisia, lawyer says.(AA).Three European women with radical activist group Femen, who were arrested after baring their breasts in Tunis, will be tried next week for public indecency, which carries a possible prison sentence, their lawyer said on Friday.

“They will appear in court in Tunis on June 5... The trial will be an open hearing,” Souheib Bahri told AFP, information confirmed by French consular officials in Tunis.

They will be tried for “public indecency” and an “attack on public morals,” crimes both punishable by six months in jail in Tunisia.

The three young women, two French and one German, were arrested on Wednesday as they held a topless protest outside the central courthouse in Tunis, the first such protest organized by Femen in the Arab world.

They were demonstrating to demand the release of Amina Sboui, a Tunisian activist with their group who was detained earlier this month after protesting against Tunisia’s main Salafist group and painting the word “Femen” on a wall near a cemetery in the city of Kairouan.

On Thursday, dozens of Tunisians demonstrated against the topless protests of Femen outside the courthouse in the city of Kairouan where Tunisian activist Amina is due to go on trial.

The small crowd shouted slogans, including “Get out” and “Dirty people.”Read the full story here.

Three Femen women held in Tunis after topless protest.

Three Femen women held in Tunis after topless protest.(ABC).
Tunisian police seized three foreign activists who disrobed in front of the Ministry of Justice on Wednesday to protest against the jailing of a Tunisian member of the Ukrainian feminist group FEMEN.

The three women, described by FEMEN earlier as one German and two French, approached the entrance to the ministry wearing coats which they took off, revealing naked torsos with "Free Amina" and other slogans written across their stomachs.

Wearing just jean shorts, the women chanted "Free Amina" and carried banners calling for her release before people in the crowd attempted to cover them.

The women were there for just a few minutes before police surrounded them, pulled them off the gates of the ministry and hustled them into a nearby station as an angry crowd, many of them lawyers working at the ministry, gathered.

"This is against our religion," said Fatima Zahaouadi, a young woman wearing the black robes of a lawyer but not wearing the conservative headscarf. "For these women to take off their clothes as part of freedom of expression is against our religion and the traditions of Arab-Muslim Tunisian society."

The crowd surrounded the police station and when the activists were transferred to a nearby building the crowed surged forward before being fended off by police.

"The ministry of justice is not a house of ill repute," said Fawzia Dridi, an angry bystander.

Tunisian woman Amina Tyler scandalized society by posting topless pictures online in March in a FEMEN-inspired protest in which she scrawled "my body is my own and not your honor," on herself. She was later taken into hiding by her family after conservative preachers issued death threats against her.

The 19-year-old said last month she wanted to do one last topless protest before she left the country to study journalism in France and was arrested May 19 in the religious center of Kairouan where an ultraconservative Muslim group was attempting to hold a conference.

Tyler was charged with carrying a dangerous object, apparently a canister of pepper spray, and will appear before a judge Thursday.

A member of FEMEN who identified herself as Inna told The Associated Press by email Tuesday that the activists were from France and Germany and were protesting the treatment of women in the Arab world.

"We are attacking the Ministry of Justice one day before the trial for Tunisian FEMEN prisoner Amina to demand to let Amina free and to give up Islamists tradition judging women's liberation," she wrote. "FEMEN is planning first topless action in Arab country as a sign of a big changes ... Femen is announcing the women's spring that (is) starting in Tunisia."Hmmmm....Read the full story here.

Video - Amina Tyler, Tunisia’s femen ‘topless jihad’ activist, caught and under arrest.

Amina Tyler, Tunisia’s femen ‘topless jihad’ activist, caught and under arrest.(AA).After months of reportedly going into hiding, the outspoken Tunisian feminist who sparked a trend of “topless jihad” has been found and arrested by Tunisian authorities earlier this week and may be charged for conducting “provocative acts.”
Amina Tyler, 19, was found in the midst of police scuffles with hardline Salafist group Ansar al-Shariah in the central Tunisian city of Kairouan on Sunday.
Tyler previously described herself as a member of the Ukrainian feminist group Femen, which uses nudity in protests.
Witnesses said she allegedly scrawled “Femen” on the wall near the main mosque and may have intended to hang a banner on the building before an angry crowd gathered and started shouting at her to leave, according to The Associated Press.
Video posted by the Tunisian online Nawaat news site shows Tyler, with dyed blonde hair, clutching a banner and being hustled away by police and put into a van as residents chased her.
A local resident shouts at the camera: “She is dishonoring us. We will protect our town, but a dirty girl like her shouldn’t come among us.”
Mohammed Ali Aroui, the spokesman for the Tunisian interior ministry, described her acts as provocative and said she was under investigation and may be charged for her behavior on Sunday. He added that he understood the angry reaction of local residents to her appearance.
The ministry had banned Ansar al-Shariah’s annual conference, citing it as a threat to security and public order, and sent 11,000 soldiers and police to prevent hardline Muslims, known as salafis, from entering Kairouan.
In March, Tyler posted pictures of her topless body with the phrase “my body is my own” scrawled on it, and she went into hiding after receiving death threats. Her family took her to stay with relatives outside the capital before she escaped and hid with friends.
A month later, Tyler had been trying to leave Tunisia, her former lawyer said after a video surfaced in which the woman recounted being drugged and given virginity tests by relatives.Hmmm......Can't wait to see 'Titslamists to the rescue."Read the full story here.

Topless Femen crash far-right rally in Paris.

Topless Femen crash far-right rally in Paris.(France24).The breast-flashing and fist-pumping Femen group struck again in Paris on Sunday, interrupting a rally organised by far-right groups to commemorate Saint Joan of Arc in central Paris.

The four feminists appeared topless – a trademark of the Ukraine-based feminist movement – on a rooftop overlooking the equestrian statue of Joan of Arc in Place des Pyramides, where ultra-conservative Catholics, French royalists, skinhead youths, and other groups had gathered around noon.

The women unravelled a two-story high red and black banner reading “Sextermination for Nazism”, while being admonished with cries of “Femen die” and “Femen whores” from the crowds below.

Joan of Arc, considered a French medieval hero, has become an iconic symbol for far-right groups, including the National Front political party. Sunday was the Catholic saint's feast day.

Femen activists violently clashed with members of far-right groups last November, when, disguised as nuns they infiltrated an anti-gay marriage rally and proceeded to strip down to their underpants in counter-protest.Read the full story here.More here.

Topless Jihad: Why Femen Is Right.

Topless Jihad: Why Femen Is Right.HT: The Atlantic.Since launching its "topless jihad" protests across Europe and elsewhere on April 4, Femen has stirred up a media maelstrom, with commentators, mostly Muslim men and women living in the West, taking to the airwaves or the Internet on CNN, the New York Times, Al Jazeera English, and the Huffington Post (and elsewhere) to call the group racist, classist, imperialist, colonialist, Eurocentric, Islamophobic, orientalist, neo-orientalist, cowardly, or, at best, naïve, and foolish.

At least one of those opining veered into infelicitous nonsense: According to Ilana Alazzah, a Muslim activist, Femen's protest recalled "blackface," with its version of feminism "excluding women of all formats," even those women who "don't have vaginas." Another detractor, the Arab-American blogger Laila Alawa, contended (falsely) that the group told "Muslim women to sit down and shut up." The Canadian writer Murtaza Hussain, after noting, with apparent portent, that Femen activists are "mostly white Europeans," considered that their approach "reeks of arrogance."

Even the usually balanced blogger Hind Makki availed herself of hyperbole, in announcing, on Al Jazeera English, that Femen "really criminalizes every single Muslim man out there." A "Muslim Women Against Femen" page appeared on Facebook, and a "Muslimah Pride Day" was proclaimed. The overall message to Femen has been, in fact, nothing less than "Sit down and shut up." Your skin color and European provenance disqualify you from expressing views on Islam and how Muslim women are treated in the Islamic world.

Yet abuse perpetrated against women in Islam's name lies at the heart of the problem. Only occasionally did the critics note that.

The media has long fostered the view that religion should be de facto exempt from the logical scrutiny applied to other subjects. I am not disputing the right to practice the religion of one's choice, but rather the prevailing cultural rectitude that puts faith beyond the pale of commonsense review, and (in Amina's case), characterizes as "Islamophobic" criticism of the criminal mistreatment of a young woman for daring to buck her society's norms, or of Femen for attacking the forced wearing of the hijab.

Femen, and in particular, Inna Shevchenko, are defying this retrograde rectitude. With protests designed to puncture auras of sanctity, Femen has repeatedly targeted religious leaders -- the Pope, the Russian Orthodox Patriarch, and Belgium's archbishop André-Jozef Léonard, among others. (Shevchenko herself is wanted by authorities in her native Ukraine on charges of "offending religious sentiment" by sawing down a cross in support of the jailed Russian punk band Pussy Riot.) So it should come as no surprise that she took part in one of the most heated debates on women, Islam, and the hijab in recent years, butting heads with the Arab-American Muslim blogger, Laila Alawa, who was coiffed in a headscarf.

Shevchenko began by declaring how pleased she was to hear so many Muslim women speak out, even if it was against Femen. The moderator then cited acid verbiage about Islam from her blog post.

"We are not calling to stone anyone," Shevchenko replied. "They are calling to stone our activist." Femen's problem with Muslim headscarves, she said, centered on whether wearing them was voluntary, adding that the only reason Femen was discussing Islam at all is the "blood, fear, and dead women's bodies" to which it has led, a graphic factual assertion not even Alawa dared contest (though she began to tear up). Despite attempts by the moderator to defuse tensions, Shevchenko demanded of Alawa, who had called herself a feminist, "How can you wear your scarf with so much proudness . . . like it's the hat of Che Guevara? It symbolizes blood and all the crimes that are based on your religion, even if you don't support them . . . . If you're a feminist, if you're for liberation, then be brave [enough] to say that we are against that and take off your scarf until the moment that your scarf will not be a symbol of crime."

The moderator called these words "insensitive," and Alawa, still visibly shaken, tried to explain what wearing a scarf meant to her. Yet Shevchenko doubled down.

"I really don't care how many scarves you wear . . . until the moment when that scarf is symbolizing something, something like blood, something like death." She again urged Alawa to "take [the headscarf] off until the moment when it will not be a symbol of the death of your sisters."

"What you're saying is quite loaded here!" responded the shocked moderator. Alawa, even more shaken up, offered a rambling response, and the show drew to a close.

By now it should be clear that with Femen, we are dealing with something new. Femen originated in Ukraine, born of young women who grew up without exposure to the West's culture of political correctness and who have scant respect for it; from their country's Soviet past, they know how deleterious the stifling of free speech can be.

Now that they have moved to the West, Femen has courageously broken rules and enlivened the debate over religion's role in our world. Its activists are charting a new route for public discourse about women and religion, and making it an unabashedly universal discourse, venturing into realms where they may be hated, and they may yet pay a high price for this. But that they have gotten people talking, even shouting and crying, is undeniable, and it is good; only through debate and discussion, sometimes painful, often unsettling, will we progress.

Far from discouraging the discourse they have initiated, we should welcome it.Read the full story here.

Video - Femen targets Islam in bare-breast protest in front of an Islamic cultural centre and mosque in Brussels.HT: AstuteBlogger. (HLNNews).Five women have staged a topless protest in front of an Islamic cultural centre and mosque in Brussels.

The Femen demonstration was in support of a woman in Tunisia called Amina, who posted pictures on the internet of her naked body bearing anti-Islamic slogans.

As a result, one cleric called for her to be killed. Wahabi Salafi preacher Almi Adel, who heads the Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice, said the 19-year-old should be stoned to death.

There are unconfirmed rumours that the woman’s family have locked her up at home.

One of the Femen activists at the Brussels protest, who gave her name only as Margaux, said: “It is an action in support of Amina who is locked up and under medication by her family because she had the courage to get naked, to advocate her rights to have her own body and to use her own body as she pleases, as she wishes; the situation of women in a lot of countries is unbearable but we will not let this go.”

Nobody came out of the mosque during the protest, which lasted 10 minutes, and there was no police presence.Hmmmm......On Friday....we get fireworks and on Saturday we get Femen.Read and see the full story here, video here and pictures here.

Like it or not, the women from Femen, with whom I disagree in their repeated violation and/or destruction of personal and public property, are indeed some brave individuals. Their acts are crude, but hard hitting. Gutsy is what I would call them.

Tunisian FEMEN activist Meriam burned a salafist flag in front of the Grande Mosquée de Paris today at 4PM as a symbol of women’s fight against wild religious extremism.

The Arab sextremist gave a sign of women’s stand-off to those who kill and rape in the name of Allah. The recent call of Tunisian salafists to stone Tunisian activist Amina was the last step before a big women riot.

As bright as the fire of the salafist flag that was burning, the Women’s revolution against wild traditions of Islamism will start. Women of Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Syria, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Bahrain, EMENA, Afghanistan, Turkey, Pakistan and Indonesia, you will change the planet with your courage!

The one who was oppressed will become free, the one who was weak will become strong. Our bodies belong to us only! Topless Femen Activists Hail Pope's Resignation, played a funeral march, Shout 'No More Homophobe' In Notre Dame.
France sextremists played a funeral march by ringing bells of the citadel of Catholicism Notre Dame de Paris for the Pope. The group of topless activists scandalized visitors at Paris' Notre Dame Cathedral on Tuesday by disrobing in public to celebrate Pope Benedict XVI's resignation.
The small group of women, all affiliated with radical feminist group FEMEN, flashed their breasts and banged on bells in the cathedral, shouting slogans such as, "Bye Bye Benedict" and "No more homophobe," according to the Agence France-Presse.
The pope announced his resignation Monday in a shocking pronouncement that took the Catholic community by surprise. However, FEMEN appears to have little to no love for the outgoing pontiff, whom the group blasted on its website for his stance on same-sex marriage.
According to the site, the "French Femen sextremists" were playing a "funeral march" for the pope. The staff of the museum decided to switch off the light to obstruct the work of journalists.

Topless feminists Protest group 'Femen' stage Vatican gay protest

Topless feminists Protest group 'Femen' stage Vatican gay protest.(AO). VATICAN CITY: Four activists from Ukrainian feminist groupFemen stripped off in St Peter's Square on Sunday in a protest for gay rights just as Pope Benedict XVI was reciting his traditional weekly Angelus prayer. The four topless women, who had "In Gay We Trust" scrawled on their bodies, staged their protest by the giant Christmas tree in the centre of the square and were briefly detained by Vatican police. Tens of thousands are set to march in France later on Sunday to denounce government plans to legalise gay marriage and adoption which have angered many Catholics and Muslims, France's two main faiths. A small protest against the plans is also due to be held in Rome outside the French embassy. The Femen women's power group has been making headlines since 2010 for topless feminist, pro-democracy and anti-corruption protests in Russia, Ukraine and London.
